Good, very good!

This series absolutely captivated me from the fist scene. However I had to re-watch the whole series, because it didn't register to me who was the mysterious Alpha standing in the pool. By the time I finally understood, I was already half way into the series. The chemistry between the couple alpha and enigma is fricking unreal.
I liked everything about it, I only wished the end was not so short.
If they have plans for a second season, I hope they come up with a good plot, not to spoil the first season.

ADDICTED

I can't believe I watched this
From ep 7 is where the fun begins I won't lie
They did a very wonderful job here
I don't know where to start
I don't even know what to write
Is it the chemistry
The NC even though it's secretive
I'm always curious 🧐
My ear almost bleed from hearing mr sheng.
Hua yong is just so seducing
I can't believe he's the top despite that look and behaviour
I just wanted to give a review o really don't know how to express what I feel watching this 🤣 🤣 🤣

Tbh people hating on this show are just people who dont want it to succeed...as a bl fan for a lomg time...i would proudly say this is one of the best bls i have ever watched. They followed the plot, had a great idea and the actors made it happen...Not them serving face card and talent at the same time💓✨️🌷 Please do not rely on negative comments...watch it and get your own opinion...but read the novel first so that you dont end up as some fans who are being rude and mean because it didnt go the way they wanted it to

This is a must-see show!

It's unique because it involves the Omegaverse and mpreg. I don't believe that is spoiling anything as that information is available outside of the show. The acting is spot on. The actors really know how to use their expressions and body language to convey the story, along with the script of course. The OST is really beautiful with Eliot singing the main title song. The second couple become just as loved as the first. I do wish they had done more with them. Perhaps they will consider a second season and put them in the lead. It could be a beautiful story. The only complaint I have is I feel they rushed the ending in the last episode.

This show's genre or sub-genre may not be for everyone. If you are okay with it, it truly is worth a watch. Especially since you can binge watch it now.

HUA YONG'S OBSESSION CUM LOVE

It’s the first live-action Chinese drama to fully embrace the Omegaverse concept: Alphas, Betas, Omegas, and a rare subtype called Enigma. The plot centers on Sheng Shaoyou, an S-Class Alpha CEO, and Hua Yong, who outwardly appears as an Omega but hides that he’s actually an Enigma. There’s also a second romance subplot: Gao Tu, who has to conceal his true status, and Shen Wenlang, his long-time boss, adding depth to the story.
LIKES--------------
☑️Bold, fresh concept
Many viewers praise how the drama goes all in with world-building: the gender hierarchy, biological implications, male pregnancy (mpreg), heat/rut cycles etc.
☑️Strong emotional stakes & tension
The push-and-pull dynamics between MLs (Shaoyou & Hua Yong) are seen as engaging. The secrecy, the manipulation, the emotional cost — these are what many say makes the drama gripping.
☑️Risk-taking
For a mainstream BL series in China, this is pretty daring: not only because of the mpreg aspect but also because it doesn’t shy away from darker, morally grey characters and ambiguous power dynamics.
DISLIKES-------------
☑️Uneven pacing
Many scenes in ABO Desire feel disjointed or abruptly cut, especially in the early and middle episodes. The transitions between key emotional or action moments can be too sudden — you’ll often go from an intense confrontation to a quiet emotional scene without enough buildup or cooldown.
☑️Characters / acting issues
The acting is uneven, especially when delivering emotional lines — sometimes stiff or robotic.
☑️Missing or shortened scenes
Due to censorship or post-production trimming, several sequences reportedly got shortened or rearranged. Emotional payoffs, like confrontations or reconciliations, sometimes feel unfinished
If you: Like dramas that push boundaries and explore dark/emotional themes
Enjoy intricate relationships with tension, secrets, manipulation, taboo elements
Don’t mind morally grey MLs/FLs or problematic situations as part of the tension
Then ABO Desire is very satisfying.
But if you: Prefer BL stories with clear consent and less emotional/psychological manipulation
Get uncomfortable with power imbalance or darker content
Want more consistent character empathy or smoother pacing
You might find parts of the drama frustrating.
ALL IN ALL, I’D SAY IT’S WORTH GIVING A TRY.

How is it over already? T_T

I got around to watching this in mid august, meaning when it was almost at the halfway point of airing, didnt give it much hope and watched it basically because i had nothing better to do. HOWEVER, the first episode sparked unexpected interest and after that I binged all the episodes available and, I must admit, rewatched them many, MANY times before the next saturday rolled around. Didnt think I would actually become so in love with this series. The actors did a very good job, and as far as the story goes, it was definitely emotional at times and it is more than capable of luring you in. Its safe to say that this has taken up a lot of space in my head, and even though I know its not gonna happen, Im still silently hoping for at least a special episode. However, there are some rumors that we will be seeing the actors together again in more projects hihihi. Ill try to say the next bit without spoiling anything, okay? We all know from the synopsis that Hua is a little crazy for pretending to be an omega, but his character development, or at least back story have made the HuaSheng parts more enjoyable, even though im a die-hard LangTu fan. While we are on the topic of SWL, hes a one big headache, but a precious headache and his complex character is really beautiful once you start to notice and understand. Oh and Gao Tu, I could be a better boyfriend than him. But dont worry, at the end all is well, and even though we might not have gotten as big of an ending as we wanted, it made the happy moments all the more precious. Once I emotionally disattach myself from therse characters Ill definitely watch this again, no doubt, because I love high stress situations. If anyone reads this and considers wathing it, please do, you cant go wrong with this. Please excuse that this review was quite poorly written, but my head is no longer able to form more than 1 coherent thought for the next few days.

I am speechless. This is such an amazing series.

Watch this. Seriously watch it. It is such a phenomenal series with a brilliant and fitting cast, unique storyline, and incredible storytelling. I’ve grown so find of the series, the actors, and the universe within this series overall.

Every single scene looked expensive and well thought out. The directors also did such a great job.

I won’t say much else, but you should also know that this series will go down in history as the first of its kind. If you know anything about the omegaverse or BL in general, you’ll know how significant this is, especially coming from China.

People should read other ABO novels first before judging this! And petition for season 2!

Honestly, at first I was hesitating whether to watch the drama or not. After starting and watching first two or three episodes, I was pissed at Hua Yong. But later when I read the novel and saw his story, I understood his situation. Many people are hating Hua Yong saying he doesn't deserve Sheng.
But you have to realise that if Hua Yong wasn't this persistent, he would have ended up the same way as Gao Tu with a long unrequited love for over 15 years. Approaching him honestly? Do you guys really think Sheng would have accepted him who didn't even believe in the existence of Enigmas?! How could that man take such risk about his only lifeline?! Beside he didn't really hurt him or others anytime without a reason. He never told him that he was an omega. The only time he lied was when he hide from Sheng saying Wenlang took him which was also to protect Sheng during his rut.
Didn't Gao Tu also lie about his identity? He also lied since Wenlang doesn't like omegas. So how are his lies justified but Hua's aren't?! Just because Gao Tu is the bottom and His is the top. That man even wanted to cut off his glands and remain as a beta just to be with Sheng.
I hope people would read the novel first before criticizing Hua's character as the series cut down many parts of Hua's backstory. That man never got the love or affection from his family and had to always fight for his survival. His mother taught him not to show emotions, his foster mother kept him cold and hungry, other kids bullied him for thinking him omega, his brothers bullied him even though he was just by himself. So when he got someone who genuinely cared for him and saw how he cares even for an illegitimate child(since Hua is also an illegitimate), he held onto him like this was the only lifeline of his life.. So he had to do everything possible to grab his attention and make sure he loves him back since Sheng was also quite of a playboy and hard to persue.
Many people blame him for the grape scene. But you can see that he really tried for so many years. He literally built a special room and chained himself with the best door lock system fearing of hurting Sheng. But if you read OMEGAVERSE, you'd know that they are basically animals during their ruts without any self control. But the next time they did it, you can see that Hua asked for Sheng's permission again and again making sure Sheng knows who he is being with.
Sheng also grew up in a family which made him never believe in eternal relationship. So I believe he needed someone as persistent and promising as Hua Yong. He also could never hate Hua cuz he also knows that Hua's whole world revolves around him.
And I swear the production team just won a jackpot with the casting specially Eliot. He portrayed both the enigma and omega role so perfectly. If you read the novel, you'd know that this character is really hard to portray since the character seems mostly expressionless but expresses a lot in just micro second movements of eyes. But Eliot didn't give any scope of criticism. He nailed it. He is the life of the series. Whenever I read the novel's Hua Yong's parts, I'm always like "That's Eliot!"
Next the people who are saying Gao Tu and Wenlang didn't get enough screen time. I agree. This could have been better. Even the NongJian sisters cried saying the people they trusted were so bad that they are also disappointed. But one thing we have to know it's the novel also doesn't show there parts that much. They are the second couple for a reason and won't get equal time as the main couple. Honestly at some point I was annoyed by the obliviousness of both Wenlang and Gao Tu!But I'd still hope for an extended episode or season two for more of their story.
The OSTs?! Oh wow! I was in love with Pupeeteer and Taming Desire. Gosh! Eliot's voice?! Never have I ever been this obsessed with a Chinese drama OST! I feel like Ocean and Qiu need slightly improvement in their acting but still it was good. The production team was also so good at bringing out the scenes. The earthquake scene was so hard to do but they still did so good! And I can say that even without any extreme kiss scene or NC scenes, they showed us how good chemistry is shown! One of my favorite dramas of this year. I'm gonna miss it. And petition for season two!
I signed up here just to write down the review as soon as the drama ended.

Girl, don't cringe, just watch

As a girl who basically grew up on M/M novels, majority of them being Omegaverse, I can honestly say that this series exceeded my expectations. At first, I could barely get through five minutes without pausing and screaming into my pillow, coz as everyone knows, Omegaverse stories tend to be very focused on ... shall we say intimacy? They make common the things that other romance stories would only touch on shyly. Sexual attraction, dominance and submission, mating, all of that is just a common everyday fact in Omegaverse stories. So to see it actually being acted out... You can understand why I kept screaming every five seconds, especially when words like 'heat' and 'pheromones' kept popping up. But still, the acting was top notch and the story was so well crafted that I got drawn in almost instantly. My loudest thought while watching it was 'Amazing acting, classy wardrobes, high end vehicles equals a huge budget... for a BL? The creator must own a gold mine or something'. It's just that good. You don't have to worry about suddenly being taken out of a scene due to awkward acting (and the scenes being acted out really, really, really had the potential to be very very awkward), the chemistry between the main characters was chef's kiss, both spicy and sweet,

(SPOILER!!!!!)

and our favourite psychopath was sufficiently freaking crazy while also being crazy in love. The only reason the story is rated 9.0 is coz I did not particularly like how the second couple ended; things didn't really get resolved by the time ep 16 ended. I also don't like how they rushed the ending with our main cp, but I get that their story did have a proper resolution. Although I kind of question how fast Sheng Shao You accepted being the bottom in that relationship LOL.

Final thoughts, read my title. Just freaking watch it. You won't regret it.

“ABO Desire” – The Omegaverse That Took Me Out ??

ABO Desire is on another level — seriously. And the craziest part? It’s from China! Like, thank you China 😭🙏 because once they start taking BL seriously, they’re going to dominate the whole industry. I’m so happy they actually released this. I thought they wouldn’t even complete it 😭

Now, let’s talk about Hua Yong. What should I even call this man? He’s too good. His expressions, that innocent face hiding something wild underneath… if you don’t know him, you’d never believe how obsessed, crazy, and delusional he can get 😭🔥 That mix of purity and madness? Iconic.

Then there’s Sheng Shaoyou. These two are absolutely insane for each other 😩 But between them, let’s be honest — Hua Yong is the real problem 😭 That man defines obsession, and that’s exactly why I love him.

And don’t even get me started on Gao Tu and Shen Wenlang. Their bond runs deep — years together, same school, same university — their dynamic is something else. The only thing that threw me off was the ending 😭 It felt too rushed. I really wanted to see Gao Tu and Shen Wenlang’s future (like, where are their kids?? 😭).

Still, Hua Yong and Sheng Shaoyou did not disappoint. The chemistry, the possessiveness, the Omegaverse tension — everything was just perfect.

If you love stories with dominant, smart, slightly unhinged male leads and chaotic passion — this one’s for you. 💅

10/10 — I read the novel and watched the series, and both were pure insanity (in the best way possible). 🫶🔥

Best ABO DRAMA

It is one of the best best best drama
I really recommend everyone to watch this drama 🥰.
Just awesome chemistry between the leads and their behind the scenes are a must watch (they are more intimate ).
Just it requires some more episodes
Ending felt a bit rushed but. It's still the best.
Gao tu and Wenlang require more screen time and also lele and peanut need some shared screen time
But still it is satisfying.
