THAT WAS THE MOST UNSATISFYING ENDING EVER
THEY ENDED GUO TU AND WEN LANG WITH JUST A SINPLE HUG NOT INTERVENTION NO TALK JUST A DUMB HUG. so like they meet up again 3 years later when wenlang was watching the other couples kid, they meet up and just end their story with a hug…. SO UNSATISFYING. Rest of the show was amazing. I loved the acting. This would get a btter rating if they ended the second relationship betterWas this review helpful to you?

The FIRST Live action Omegaverse Mpreg BL in History - HuaSheng Edition
Hi, Hi ~~!A kind Heads-up - This is a BIASED Review !!!
For me, ABO Desire is truly a MASTERPIECE.
A Mini Brief Summary: ABO Desire is a Chinese BL series released this year on 12th July 2025. It consists of 16 Episodes. It stars the Main Leads, Huang Xing (Eliot) and Qiu Dingjie(Kipuka) and the secondary leads, Jiang Heng (Ocean) and Li Pei En (Seeky).
I will reiterate that ABO Desire is hands down a MASTERPIECE.
Why ? Because it stars the mind-blowingly talented, hardworking and versatile Eliot and Kipuka as the Enigma, Hua Yong and the S-Class Alpha, Sheng Shaoyou.
STORY: PERFECT!
To be honest, the story is NOT perfect. It lacks quite a number of elements, but it has great concepts - Enigma x S-Class Alpha and Male Omega x Female Alpha. The point is, XingQiu absolutely aced HuaSheng's storyline! So, for me, XingQiu made the lackluster story a PERFECT 10/10.
ACTING / CAST: PERFECT!
NJ and the Casting Team made the best-est decision of their lives by casting Huang Xing and Qiu Dingjie as Hua Yong and Sheng Shaoyou. There is NO ONE in the entire universe / galactic orbit who could ever portray HuaSheng better than XingQiu.
I also LOVE the casting for Secretary Chen Pin Ming and Secretary Chang Yu - Xuan Hao and Feng Jian Yu did such a great job!
Jacky Heung was a great cameo as Long Zuo, the Milk Candy Male Omega.
Ocean and Seeky did a good job too as Shen Wenlang and Gao Tu, especially Ocean - kudos to him for his first acting job - he did great as a first-time actor.
MUSIC: PERFECT!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE all the OSTs sung by Huang Xing and Qiu Dingjie the most !!!
1. Master of Desire - Eliot Huang
2. Puppeteer - Eliot Huang
3. You're The True - Kipuka Qiu
4. Tame Me - Eliot Huang
5. Master of Desire - Desire4
6. Catch You - Ocean Jiang
REWATCH VALUE: 10/10!
I have been rewatching all the Episodes every week while it was still airing. I still have not been able to move on from ABO Desire. I dare say I have rewatched for an umpteenth number of times and will continue rewatching my precious HuaSheng create magic on screen and blow my mind!
OVERALL: 10/10!
I watch ABO Desire for HuaSheng and I absolutely LOVE this series.

A tale of an obsessive guy and his kindhearted lover, plus dumb and dumber second couple
I waited for so long to start it, I have to say first that I didn't know anything about the ABOverse or omegaverse or whatever it's name, so I decided to read the novel first then watch the series, you know to get some insight about what to expect.when I started the novel I was lost completely, it's probably not the best ABO novel to start with if you have no prior knowledge of this universe.
Now I have to also say a comment about the novel before the show review because that influences my opinion, the novel itself isn't great, it's a unique story, a tale of obsession, sadly it wasn't my cup of tea.
I really hated Hua Yong, what he did to SSY is really despicable and it's really difficult for me to like something while hating of the main characters, luckily I was more interested in Gao Tu and Shin wenlang because they seem to have more "normal" love story that is close to my taste so I managed to finish the whole novel.
However it didn't have a very satisfying end so I kept my expectations very low for them, beside not being excited about the main characters' story in the show.
another thing I didn't like and made me even less exciting to start the series is the whole business setting and companies matters, it's very confusing, I skipped some chapters because of that, this is also not my cup of tea.
That's why I knew I won't rate the drama over 8.5 or 9 max. Even if it is a better version than the novel, simply because the story itself isn't for me.
Now why I watched it if I don't like it? The reasons are simple, this is the first step toward the whole ABO universe world adaptations, and I later read some others ABO novels that I liked, also it's a part of the new generation of uncensored Chinese BLs, Third reason is second couple story, mainly my baby Gao Tu and his Dumbo lol I love Seeky and his character is my favourite so....🤷🤷🤷 Say no more I'm in.
Now to the real review of the show. (Sorry to taking long)
Story adaptation is nice, the drama is boring in some parts, I skipped some long scenes about the business as expected and aligned with what I did with the novel but to be fair, the whole thing is much more understandable in the show than in the novel, some scenes that were changed made the whole series dull and some others that were added made the show better, one of the scenes that were bad was the first time Hua Yong and Sheng shaoyou met, well, long story short, it's better in the book and make the whole obsession more understandable, now the scenes they added that were better were Gao Tu 's BD and Wenlang taking care of him.
The biggest thing I really hated was the end for second couple, and it wasn't even that great in the novel but they somehow managed to make it worse in the show.
Acting, I understand that only Ocean didn't have any previous acting credits, but the 4 leads were on the same level, Ocean was amazing as Shin Dumbo, he nailed his role and I'm excited for his next drama with Seeky, they deserve the world ❣️
Now a final unpopular and controversial opinion, also non-negotiable.
Hua Yong is a terrible person I don't like him I hate what he did to SSY, SSY deserves better. And little peanut deserves a better father who loves him and cherish his life. HY is selfish, self-centred b@stard who only cares about his obsession and doesn't care about any other person, he disregard everyone no matter what they do to him, no value for friendship nor loyalty, and he deserves the slap SSY gave him at the hotel.
Pheww!! Now I feel better after saying that out loud 😂
I genuinely don't know if I would recommend this drama, if you look behind all the hype and excitement from fans, this is a very average BL, nothing special about it, so you will probably just enjoy a good BL and that's it.

I like this series
This series was everything as an omrgavrese fan , it contais everything i want , they didn’t left out any single detail it’s so well done . And my fv character is hua yong , the two stories are both interesting ,shen wenlang is a little bit crazy but i still do like him , gao tu is really selfless character , mr sheng has so much aura but still he is baby mama .Was this review helpful to you?
The real charm of this series is the cast, especially Huang Xing. I don’t think I’ve ever felt such a mix of love and impatience toward a character like I did with Hua Yong. He’s not just good-looking, he’s calculated, seductive, and dangerous. Outwardly delicate, but inwardly lethal. A rare and powerful enigma who went all in to make the proud Alpha Sheng Shao You submit. And Sheng Shao You? He fell hard for his obsessive little psycho and gave in willingly.
I loved how, at times, you couldn’t tell who was manipulating who. In the end, I found myself completely under Hua Yong’s toxic, manipulative, psychotic spell too.
Now, my biggest issues were with episode 9 and how they wrapped up Gao Tu and Shen Wen Lang’s storyline. That whole episode felt far-fetched and unrealistic. If the goal was to keep their identities hidden, the execution really missed the mark. I don’t think I’ve ever rolled my eyes so much during a single episode. Like seriously, Hua Yong and Sheng Shao You are literally living together! How does Sheng Shao You not recognize him? And don’t even get me started on Gao Tu and Shen Wen Lang. As for the ending, I got the feeling some scenes were censored, especially the ones involving Gao Tu and Shen Wen Lang. Tbh, I’d love a season 2 that focuses on their story. They deserve.

The origin story alone deserves applause — the rest is a bonus
Before I even get to the series itself: two wealthy Chinese twin sisters who are omegaverse fans decided to just make the thing themselves. And then it became the first Chinese omegaverse BL production ever, won awards, and apparently surprised everyone including people who should have known better than to underestimate obsessive fans with resources. I find that genuinely delightful, and it earns the series a certain amount of goodwill from me before a single episode plays. As for the show — I believe the pairing. The dynamic between someone consumed by obsession and someone fundamentally untamable works for me, and the chemistry has enough pull that I'd go back for them. What doesn't quite deliver for me personally are the intimate scenes, which feel like they fall slightly short of what the premise promises. For a genre that runs on physical tension, that's a noticeable gap.
It's also unhinged in the way omegaverse tends to be, and I mean that descriptively rather than critically. I've read stronger material in the genre, but I'm not complaining. The fact that this exists at all — produced in China, no less — still feels like a small miracle worth celebrating.

Wolf substitutes
Don't get me wrong - I understand the concept. I've never read or watched an omegaverse story and I'm not sure I will watch one again. The acting was mainly good, but there were chunks of the story that I just didn't get. I understand the hypermasculinity of the Alphas (although sometimes it just came across as being an insecure idiot) and the submission of the Omegas, but what's the purpose of the Beta? What is their role in this universe? Do they represent balance? Were the secretaries all Betas?
The unfolding of the relationship between the two MLs was interesting to watch. The back stories of some characters made sense but I couldn't see the motivation behind the behaviour of others. I know it's entertainment and not a psychological case study, but I'd still like to understand.
The actor who played the character of Hua Yong was so good and portrayed all the characteristics well. He was devious, manipulative and determined. I felt like I was watching a psychopath in action (which, I'm guessing, was the point).
What I liked: Huang (Eliot) Xing is a great actor. The portrayal of his character (Hua Yong) was so good and the duality was spot on. Li Pei En (Gao Tu) portrayed, really well, the nervousness and anxiety of a person in his position. He was my favourite character.
What I didn't like: the pacing was wrong - such a slow middle section and then a rushed ending. I have no idea what happened to the second couple - how did that story end?
I feel like I've missed something, but don't care enough to go back and work out parts of the story.

WATCH THIS ASAP
Idk where to begin. Ok first of all excellent casting. I really liked the chemistry between the characters. Ok I've been into omegaverse since a long time ago and it's my first time watching it on screen and they nailed it. I actually got butterflies from their kiss scenes. The only thing I didn't like is the way they rushed the ending. I wanted more episodes and like a proper ending like the novel but that's abo I would definitely rewatch this again. Also the actors are SO HOTTT OMGGG. Hope they'll do more projects together in the future ❤️Was this review helpful to you?
MY first BL
This is my first BL to watch, and I can’t believe I loved it more than all the straight dramas I’ve seen. I decided to watch it because I saw many videos of them on TikTok and felt their amazing chemistry. But when I started watching it, I realized how deep and complex the story was and how different the world felt.Omegaverse is a rare genre for BL fans, and for someone like me who usually watches straight dramas, it’s even rarer. The unique story, the characters, and the incredible actors all came together to make me love this show and become completely obsessed with it. I’m really looking forward to their next project, which will definitely be my next BL. I don’t think I can move on from this series until their next drama with the same actors.
Always with Desire4.

bad end but good to watch
to be honest I really liked it but for the second couple i just wanted more scene and story line and better ending for them with explaining their situation clearly....Was this review helpful to you?
Fun but not in the way I expected
While I am no expert, I am a pretty big consumer of danmei novels. When these books are turned into dramas, my fancy is tickled. While I never read the source novel for ABO Desire, in a moment of boredom, I turned the drama on.Less than 24 hours later, I completed this…..not masterpiece, not shlock, not….well, let me explain.
ABO Desire is a LGBTQ+ story set in the omegaverse. If you are not familiar with that type of genre, please google it. Just know ABO stories are typically the most toxic excuses for fiction out there.
Yes, I watched anyway.
Yes, it did have ABO toxic elements.
So why did I complete it in a day?
It may have something to do with having the time off of work to binge. Perhaps it was the long cold almost-winter’s night. This story had me laughing at all the wrong parts and hating every single character that graced the screen.
If a show can make me hate everyone on the screen while finding the characters sympathetic, it is worth watching at least once.
Characters:
Truth be told, if I say too much about the characters, it will be a spoiler. Just know that Hua Yong is probably one of the topmost memorable characters I have ever watched on the screen. Played beautifully by Huang Xing, Hua Yong sucks me in from the first moment I see him and I…..just……can’t……look…..away.
Watch this show just to see all the very interesting things Hua Yong manifests in all sixteen episodes.
Please know that if you are a human with a moral compass, all four leads will make you uncomfortable with their less than righteous choices…….very uncomfortable.
The main couple’s story was the most interesting where the second couple was borderline silly.
That said, if you’re looking for romantic chemistry, I did not find it anywhere in ABO Desire. If you desire (pun intended) stomach-fluttering-passion, watch Revenged Love not this show.
The one character that I will give detail on is Shen Wen Lang played by Jiang Heng. This was basically Jiang Cheng (notice the name is almost the same) from The Untamed. The actor looks like Wang Zho Cheng, he sounds like Wang Zho Cheng and he plays Shen Wen Lang if it were Jiang Cheng. The very essence of this character is Jiang Cheng played by Wang Zhuo Cheng, but not. It is UNCANNY!
I noticed other viewers commented the same thing.
Story:
I won’t go deep into the story because I’ll be honest, if I get too deep, it will spoil it. Just know it is about corporate China with an ABO story line that contains EVERY ABO and cold-CEO cliché known to Chinese dramas……yet, turned on it’s head.
And I laughed.
I laughed so hard at all the dramatic moments, I really do hope the screen writer meant for everything to come off as satire, otherwise, this is some really bad writing. I am grateful for the humor. It made this ABO mess just shine as something a little bit different or outside of the norm.
MUSIC:
The music was more than forgettable. This series is very low budget. Most of the money was spent on the clothes and cars. Everything else was passable.
OVERALL:
If you are looking for ABO on the screen, here’s your chance. If you long for clichés galore, turn it on. If you need a good laugh, I recommend binging the night away. Truly, Hua Yong’s character is the only one where I think the acting was spectacular, unless you consider the Jiang Cheng-impersonator.
Classic story, top notch writing…….not so much, but it sure was entertaining.
