Ending?
I loved everything BUT...How could it end like that? I mean, it's just like they cut a few major part to fit into the last episode. What happen at the hospital? Where was the secretary Gu? How did he survive ? What will happen between them when they reunite? What about the kid?
So, I really do feel like one more episode could have made the ending perfect!

Last episode was a mess.
I loved this series so much, but the last episode left me with a big WHY?? So rushed and so many unanswered questions. It really was a big shame. I really looked foreward to a good story between Gao Tu en Shen Wen Lang, but they hardly got any screen time in the last episode. Why work a story up to something and leave the ending unresolved...The visuals are stunning and the special effects with the Pheromones very well done. The music is very beautifull.
The kisses were very "polite" but got better in the later episodes.
The acting was very good and i loved the smart replies of Hua Yong, they were really funny.
Really a must see!

too many expectations! disappointed
i was a bit sceptical at the start, the storyline felt unstable but thankfully it all came clear in episode 3. My fav couple is gao tu with shen, and although we didnt get as many scenes as id like, it was good. The music and acting were fine, sometimes a bit weird but nothing unwatchable. The last episode was disappointing- not only did the story for the main couple feel rushed, but the second couple was more of a "dont forget to add this here to get it over with". Didnt make much sense and if they had thought this over and gave us a clearer ending, it would have been 10/10.Was this review helpful to you?
good start for omegaverse shows
being the first Real omegaverse show, desire is both very fun and a good entrance into the trope. (well, ignoring the enigma part lol since that's not very common - but it's done well here!) I don't know that I loved all of the world building, but on the whole, it was very interesting and I could push past any weird things (like, we find out in ep 1 that all people with AB blood died?? ... okay...). there were cringe moments here and there as all shows have but it really wasn't that badsomething to know going in is that this show is very much centered on the first couple, sheng shaoyou and hua yong. if you don't like them, it's going to drag a lot, because the second couple do not get a lot of screen time. I definitely was more interested in the second couple (shen wenlang and gao tu), and was disappointed in how little we got to see of them. for reference, one episode only gave them about 3-5 minutes of screen time. so, manage your expectations there. and before anyone comes at me, I did like ssy and hy - I think they were 100% better acted than the second couple, and they had a lot of interesting tropes. I preferred swl and gt but either way, this is a show I would recommend BL fans watch!
on a final note, justice for gao lele!!

Wow! My first journey into the Omegaverse!
PLOT: A handsome Alpha-S (ML, CEO, of course) is being courted by a gorgeous, fragile "Omega" with an orchid scent (MC). The MC is secretly being helped by ML2 (Alpha - CEO of another biopharmaceutical company, which owns a drug that could save ML's father). ML2 has a very close secretary (ML3), an Omega who pretends to be a Beta, in love with ML2 (who hates Omegas). However, the fragile, orchid-scented Omega, obsessed with ML, is hiding secrets :)This completely unfamiliar world initially seems outlandish, incongruous, absurd... But the actors are brilliant and manage to draw us into this fantasy. Kudos!!
+++ Amazing actors
+++ High-quality production (costumes, sets, lighting, framing, props), everything is meticulously thought out.
+++ It's actually quite fun to see all the twists and clichés of classic dramas transposed into this world where gender roles are assigned differently.
+++ Excellent OSTs
### The ending is too rushed, especially for CL2. Their reunion is hinted at, but the viewer would have liked to see more!
=> A surprising but delightful discovery :)

Wahouuu !
Kudos !!
+++ Acteurs géniaux
+++ Production high-quality (costumes, décors, lumières, cadrages, accessoires), tout est pensé dans les détails.
+++ C'est finalement très amusant de voir transposer tous les twists / clichés des dramas classiques dans cet univers où les genres sont attribués différemment.
+++ Excellents OSTs
### Le final est trop rushed, en particulier pour le CL2. Leurs retrouvailles sont suggérées, mais le spectateur aurait aimé en voir davantage !
=> Une découverte étonnante mais savoureuse :)

Gao Tu and his little screentime
Showcasing the A-B-O Universe was a fresh concept for me. I find myself entertained and learn new things with this creative approach of pairing, or what is known as mating in their world. I love Gao Tu, and I am always looking forward to his story every single EPs. Even though there are EPs wherein he has minimal to no exposure, I hold to the drama solely because of him. Li Pei En is so handsome and the most charming actor from the cast. I was mesmerized by his beauty.As someone who hardly kept his Beta-identity for all those years, simply because Shen Wen Lang hated Omega, it was a very fascinating dedication to stay by the side of his crush, even though he thought that it was one-sided. I am always thirsty between Gao Tu and Shen Wen Lang’s scenes, and the production never failed to disappoint me until the finale. That was the end? It was obviously rushed, without a proper conclusion, for my best boy, Gao Tu, and when Shen Wen Lang was finally able to hug him for the first time in eternity, with their child witnessing the dramatic reunion.
For the sake of Gao Tu and Shen Wen Lang, I stayed. Not gonna say anything with other characters as I just come to the point to not mind them at all. I wasn’t a fan of the main couple’s story; every person has their subjective reasoning and avoids pushing others to like something that they don’t like.

Wolf substitutes
Don't get me wrong - I understand the concept. I've never read or watched an omegaverse story and I'm not sure I will watch one again.The acting was mainly good, but there were chunks of the story that I just didn't get. I understand the hypermasculinity of the Alphas (although sometimes it just came across as being an insecure idiot) and the submission of the Omegas, but what's the purpose of the Beta? What is their role in this universe? Do they represent balance? Were the secretaries all Betas?
The unfolding of the relationship between the two MLs was interesting to watch. The back stories of some characters made sense but I couldn't see the motivation behind the behaviour of others. I know it's entertainment and not a psychological case study, but I'd still like to understand.
The actor who played the character of Hua Yong was so good and portrayed all the characteristics well. He was devious, manipulative and determined. I felt like I was watching a psychopath in action (which, I'm guessing, was the point).
What I liked: Huang (Eliot) Xing is a great actor. The portrayal of his character (Hua Yong) was so good and the duality was spot on. Li Pei En (Gao Tu) portrayed, really well, the nervousness and anxiety of a person in his position. He was my favourite character.
What I didn't like: the pacing was wrong - such a slow middle section and then a rushed ending. I have no idea what happened to the second couple - how did that story end?
I feel like I've missed something, but don't care enough to go back and work out parts of the story.

Confusing
I knew nothing about the Omegaverse, and I can’t say it ever really appealed to me. When I saw that this series flipped the roles — the prey actually being the hunter — I thought, “Let’s give it a try!” While that aspect is interesting, it’s not enough to hide the discomfort I feel toward the genre itself: violence in intimate relationships, dominance, animalistic behavior, and so on. I can definitely say it’s not for me.As for the series itself: terrible direction, ultra-cheap special effects, and average acting. And to top it all off, it doesn’t even have an ending — literally. I’ve never seen a show just stop in the middle of nowhere like that!
Honestly, ABO Desire won't stay in my memory.

Fun but not in the way I expected
While I am no expert, I am a pretty big consumer of danmei novels. When these books are turned into dramas, my fancy is tickled. While I never read the source novel for ABO Desire, in a moment of boredom, I turned the drama on.Less than 24 hours later, I completed this…..not masterpiece, not shlock, not….well, let me explain.
ABO Desire is a LGBTQ+ story set in the omegaverse. If you are not familiar with that type of genre, please google it. Just know ABO stories are typically the most toxic excuses for fiction out there.
Yes, I watched anyway.
Yes, it did have ABO toxic elements.
So why did I complete it in a day?
It may have something to do with having the time off of work to binge. Perhaps it was the long cold almost-winter’s night. This story had me laughing at all the wrong parts and hating every single character that graced the screen.
If a show can make me hate everyone on the screen while finding the characters sympathetic, it is worth watching at least once.
Characters:
Truth be told, if I say too much about the characters, it will be a spoiler. Just know that Hua Yong is probably one of the topmost memorable characters I have ever watched on the screen. Played beautifully by Huang Xing, Hua Yong sucks me in from the first moment I see him and I…..just……can’t……look…..away.
Watch this show just to see all the very interesting things Hua Yong manifests in all sixteen episodes.
Please know that if you are a human with a moral compass, all four leads will make you uncomfortable with their less than righteous choices…….very uncomfortable.
The main couple’s story was the most interesting where the second couple was borderline silly.
That said, if you’re looking for romantic chemistry, I did not find it anywhere in ABO Desire. If you desire (pun intended) stomach-fluttering-passion, watch Revenged Love not this show.
The one character that I will give detail on is Shen Wen Lang played by Jiang Heng. This was basically Jiang Cheng (notice the name is almost the same) from The Untamed. The actor looks like Wang Zho Cheng, he sounds like Wang Zho Cheng and he plays Shen Wen Lang if it were Jiang Cheng. The very essence of this character is Jiang Cheng played by Wang Zhuo Cheng, but not. It is UNCANNY!
I noticed other viewers commented the same thing.
Story:
I won’t go deep into the story because I’ll be honest, if I get too deep, it will spoil it. Just know it is about corporate China with an ABO story line that contains EVERY ABO and cold-CEO cliché known to Chinese dramas……yet, turned on it’s head.
And I laughed.
I laughed so hard at all the dramatic moments, I really do hope the screen writer meant for everything to come off as satire, otherwise, this is some really bad writing. I am grateful for the humor. It made this ABO mess just shine as something a little bit different or outside of the norm.
MUSIC:
The music was more than forgettable. This series is very low budget. Most of the money was spent on the clothes and cars. Everything else was passable.
OVERALL:
If you are looking for ABO on the screen, here’s your chance. If you long for clichés galore, turn it on. If you need a good laugh, I recommend binging the night away. Truly, Hua Yong’s character is the only one where I think the acting was spectacular, unless you consider the Jiang Cheng-impersonator.
Classic story, top notch writing…….not so much, but it sure was entertaining.

A Long-Awaited Omegaverse Adaptation That Almost Gets It Right
As an avid omegaverse consumer, I was genuinely happy to finally see those elements portrayed in a TV series. The casting was excellent, the actors did a great job and the overall production quality was solid as well.The script could have been stronger, though. I understand the limitations caused by Chinese censorship, but my main issue was the pacing. It started off slow and then suddenly sped up. I think the story either needed better pacing or more episodes to fully develop everything the way it deserved.
It was a shame we didn’t get to see more of the second couple, their storyline ended up unfinished.
I really enjoyed the characters, especially because I love complex personalities that aren’t simply black and white. Huayong was fascinating to watch; he’s easily one of my favorite characters so far.

The winner takes it all
I would give my life if I could watch this show for the first time again. First in my bloodline to witness this shit. I would give it an 8.8 so a 9 out of 10. People didn’t like the ending and I think they could’ve done more with it, but I still liked it. So I’m gonna say what I liked, what I didn’t like, and then we’re gonna do like a little overview.So starting off the bat with the omegaverse trope. Fight the allegations, but that is one of my favorite tropes EVER, behind another one that this show did which is mpreg. And I’m sick of pretending like I don’t fucking love it. It’s fucking great, so when I heard that they were gonna make a drama of this, you know my ass was gonna move heaven and hell to watch this shit. I was watching this every fucking week when this came out. I liked our main couple and I like our side couple. Towards the start, I liked the side couple more but then towards the end I liked the main couple more. I think that everyone’s character was fantastic like of course not everyone wasn’t a good person, but they were just brought to life so well and it was genuinely great. Starting with Hua Yong holy moly, fantastic character because I was being gaslit too. I’m like wait why are we mad at him again? I’m like oh shit he’s fucking lying to you, fantastic plot. I don’t really get into like the enigma shit but the fact that he was lying about being Omega and then he switched and was actually an enigma and then got his alpha pregnant. Next fucking question my show is on what the hell. I think that the fact that Sheng Shao You or whatever, I like his reaction to just being lied to like he’s like What the fuck I just got lied to and then he just kept getting lied to, and then now he’s pregnant oh my God I’d be like What the fuck. Next up, my favorite character in this entire show, Gao Tu, fantastic character. I genuinely loved him. The acting was phenomenal and the fact that he had some unrequited love with a childhood friend and then got pregnant from that same friend. Oh my God my show is on dude holy fuck and he was just so worried. Of course they’re ending. It’s like fine. I guess it’s not but I’m just gonna have to deal with it, but I loved his character so very fucking and holy shit. Wen lang can lowkey suck my dick but fantastic acting because this character pissed me the fuck off. Another thing I also liked is that they made the omegaversus the main plot like I don’t like when they put it on the back burner and I thought they were gonna do that because it’s a Chinese fucking drama. It’s the first ever OMEGAVERSE I’m like they’re going to do that. No, the Omega Verse was the main plot. Their weird fucking businesses. They were all around the fucking omega verse and around like the pheromones and shit. Every single thing in this show had to do with the Omega Verse and I fucking love that, and they did such a phenomenal job with that. Also, I love the costumes and the settings and everything. It was great and also the editing I cringed with the pheromones but great job because they brought that shit to life. Holy moly. I love this show. Also for fucking Chinese censorship, they stuck their foot into their fucking sex scenes. Of course, we did have two back-to-back fucking rape scenes that I low-key trauma blocked and I didn’t remember until I re-watched it for the fourth time (that should say a lot about this show), but they didn’t even have to show anything. They set it up perfectly. They did like some insinuating like assuming. Oh my God, they did that so well. And the mpreg I was not expecting like a full baby bump thing, but people on TikTok were convinced that there was a baby bump. I don’t think there was, but I was not expecting that they were gonna do stuff like rubbing his stomach. I love everything and he’s like the fuck is your problem he’s like you got my baby in there. He’s like you fucking bitch. I’m a man. I loved that to death. It was so fucking good and I’m surprised that they like went fully with it towards the end they had the time skip with them and their kid like I’m surprised they went all the way there and I’m glad they fucking did dude holy shit. I love this show. I also liked how Hua Yong's omega personality never really faded but we also knew it was a front even when it wasn’t. Yeah, I’m truly honored that I am first in my bloodline to ever witness this. Also, I loved how they showed the heat and the rut, that was fucking phenomenal. We ate that shit up. I can’t even lie and I’m sick of pretending that this isn’t peak. This show was phenomenal and I’m not gonna pretend it wasn’t just cause it’s an omegaverse. Also, the chemistry between our couples holy fucking moly we have so much chemistry just between all of us.I also like how when he found out that his cute omega bag was an enigma he was like what the fuck and then like Hua Yong got a fucking cement block dropped on him and then a metal rod to the back to protect him and then he’s like OK fine I’ll get pregnant. Yeah, I remember that happening. I remember this is exactly how the story went…definitely… I also just remembered the Lore that hua yong has actually been obsessed with him for like a while now and that’s why he’s so head over heels for him and he’s willing to give up everything for him and I low-key ate that up I can’t even lie like he’s like I’m so in love with you and it’s like I’m willing to lie to you and become this person. I’m not just to make you happy and I was like OKKKAAYYYY!!
What I didn’t like, starting right off the bat Fucking Wen Lang. That dumb bitch can genuinely suck my fucking left dick shut the fuck up with your fucking fat ass. Oh my fucking God shut your fuck ass up he was annoying. His character was written miserably. I cannot even lie. It was just such a shitty fucking character and he’s like Oh I don’t like him. I don’t like him and then something just clicked and he was like Oh I like him and I’m going to go crazy based on my tribal instincts. Also, the ending with our second couple that’s what people’s main criticism with the show is and they’re hating on the show because of that. I think they set it up for a season two which I don’t know if we’re gonna get because censorship and all that but they set it up perfectly for a season two but I wish they ended them a little bit differently and instead of like oh he’s a single dad for the past like three years and then he sees across the ball pit and he hugs him and that’s the end of their thing. They could’ve had like a conversation there. It could’ve been like very standoffish and kind of been like Hey I’m ready to be a dad or he’s always been ready to be a dad but he like disappeared. Also, the fact that there was two back-to-back rape scenes, I’m like holy fucking moly and I don’t know if it also got the other guy pregnant but like that’s just so kind of like annoying. This shit with the X holding things I don’t think I understood and as they start talking about that, I’m like why don’t we get naked kiss cause I don’t know what we’re fucking talking about right now like I’m the owner of X Holdings because I’m the bastard of my dad‘s left ball sack Cousin‘s cat‘s grandmother and I’m like what are we fucking talking about right now?
OK, let’s get into my overview which is gonna be all over the place because this is 16 episodes I think. Right off the bat I was like Where is my side couple I want to see them. ”That was low-key a fire episode but I wish they split this more evenly but it’s like whatever the plot is coming together and acting better and I actually low-key like the characters and I like how it’s like there’s other plot besides the omegaverse.” But the plot still related back to the Omega Verse, which was fucking great. “I wish they did more with those episodes instead of just like sitting like a waiting duck kind of episode.” I was gonna put the fact that there was a lot of waiting and things I didn’t like, but it was low-key re-watching it. I was just like delirious and like there was a lot of waiting, but it was still like juicy plot and I enjoyed it. Their power dynamic like for our main couple was low-key terrible but I was only OK with it because I knew it was gonna flip. “Me when the omega guy. I swear he's always in heat but me too when his sexy ass is on screen, my lord.” “This show needs to lock in bc i cant bring myself to hate it.” “REF DO SOMETHING. NURSE HE GOT OUT AGAIN. Gorgeous scene with Hua Yong and Sheng i think. GORGEOUS. So everyone is going to hell. So the same thing happened it was just flipped. You know what hell yeah.” This was the rape scene that I had genuinely no idea what was happening and people who were also watching, were pissed about this and I low-key did not know what was happening. I can’t even lie. “S Tier Alpha? Worse?” This show is so addictive. “GAO TU PREGNANCY ERAAAAA. Mr. Shen is a dumb piece of shit and if he wasn’t so fucking dumb he would have connected the dots already. Dumb bag of rocks. Hua yong is such a good manipulator I lowkey forgot why we were mad at him.” “If you stab someone in a fatal spot and they get up and keep moving RUN. Especially run if they rub their blood on them as well.” “Yeah, I lowkey became so obsessed with Hua Yong and Sheng's dynamic at the end. Hua Yong loves the child only because it's sheng. I thought that was very romantic. The ending bruhhh.”
I would sacrifice my entire bloodline if it means I can watch this shit for the first time again. Watch this shit, rewatch this shit, watch this shit in the bathtub, even while you’re sleeping bro, in the air even, just watch this shit. Okay bye!
