honestly can't remember whether I saw the trailer or pilot first, but I stumbled upon Khemjira while scrolling through iQIYI - and thank heavens I did. The trailer alone was one of the best l've seen in ages, and by the first episode, I knew I was in for something special. It hooked me instantly - beautiful, haunting, and impossible to look away from.
Khemjira (Khemjira Must Survive) is a Thai supernatural romantic Boys' Love drama that dives deep into themes of fate, karma, and love across lifetimes. It follows Khemjira - or "Khem" - a young man cursed by a family tragedy that dooms all male descendants to die before turning 21. To protect him, his mother gives him a feminine name, hoping to trick fate itself. But as his 21st birthday nears, the supernatural world awakens. When Khem begins to see spirits, his friend Jet leads him to Ubon Ratchathani to seek help from Pharan, a powerful shaman - and, as fate would have it, Khem's lover from a past life.
From there unfolds a slow-burn story that blends Thai folklore, reincarnation, and romance with a chilling touch of horror. Directed by Panuwat Inthawat, Kittipat Champa, and Patarapon To-oun, and written by Supachod Kajonsiripong, this Domundi TV production is adapted from Cali's novel Khemjira Must Survive. The show stars Namping Napatsakorn Pingmuang as Khem, Keng Harit Buayoi as Master Pharan, FirstOne Wannakorn Reungrat as Jet, Green Ausadaporn Siriwattanakul as Ramphueng, and Tle Matimun Sreeboonrueang as Chan - an ensemble that truly delivers.

The production quality is top-tier - lush visuals, strong direction, and top-notch special effects that rival major Thai horror films. Some episodes run nearly two hours long, but not once does it drag. Each chapter feels purposeful, carefully paced, and emotionally charged.
What sets Khemjira apart is its respect for Thai spirituality and culture. It treats shamanism, rituals, and folklore with authenticity and reverence - never as mere set dressing.
The supernatural horror is gripping, but it's the emotional storytelling and human relationships that truly keep you watching.
If you're looking for jump scares, you'll get them early on.
But if you stay for the story, you'll discover something richer
- a deeply emotional narrative about reincarnation, forgiveness, and the weight of karma. The final episodes may stumble slightly in pacing, but the journey is so beautifully crafted that it hardly matters.

OS ELEMENTOS DE TERROR SÃO MUITO BONS, MAS TODO O RESTO NÃO ME CONVENCEU

Eu tenho muitas coisas e ao mesmo tempo muito poucas para dizer, então eu irei listar para ficar mais fácil.


PONTOS POSITIVOS (o que eu gostei):

- A ambientação e estética de terror é realmente muito boa, eu sou fã de filmes de terror e elementos sombrios
- Gosto do Peem e de sua personalidade
- O Jet é uma graça

PONTOS NEGATIVOS (o que eu não gostei):

- Os episódios são extremamente longos e cansativos pois a maior parte é sempre um looping de mantras e feitiços
- O Chan é muito insuportável, pelo amor de Deus, cada vez que ele abria a boca é para ser a pessoa mais chata, certinha e politizada possível (e isso não é um elogio). Eu detesto personagens que servem como a bússola moral de um projeto
- Ramphueng é uma excelente vilã, mas eu aprecio vilões de verdade, eu não gosto de vilões que não são realmente maus e sim alguém que passou por uma quantidade enorme de traumas e por isso busca vingança e tem uma "redenção". Não gosto, não tem brilho para mim. A maioria dos projetos não sustenta um vilão sem envolver empatia
- Jet e Chan não possuem química ao meu ver, eles estariam muito melhor como amigos, a personalidade deles não se entrosa romanticamente
- Sim, o Khem é o culpado da maioria das coisas que aconteceram. Gente, não é possível, o mundo se acabando porque todo mundo foi obrigado a lidar com os problemas karmicos dele (apenas por ele estar por perto) e todas as pessoas vão apenas fingir que não?
- Khem foi egoísta do inicio ao fim, ele queria que o mestre e todos os outros se envolvessem na sua bagunça (sem respeitar os nãos que foram ditos para ele) e então ele usou de manipulação (mesmo que sem má intenção), e depois quando tudo deu obviamente errado ele simplesmente foge e deixa quem ele diz amar sozinho e para trás? egoísmo puro


Enfim, esse projeto é um 5/10 para mim porque a estética e temática é interessante, mas todos os outros quesitos me desagradaram bastante. A amizade dos três amigos muitas vezes me soava forçada (gosto da amizade do Khem e Jet), o romance secundário não tinha a menor química e o casal principal foi bom mas não especial na minha concepção, houve excesso de processos religiosos que eram sempre iguais (nada em excesso é bom), etc.

Se você quer algo fora da bolha BL (mesmo sendo um) isso pode ser para você, mas eu não me senti positivamente entretida de uma forma geral.

First of all, I’ve had this series on my list for a long time, and what initially caught my attention was the storyline. I’ve always loved, been interested in, and even admired things related to ghosts, the supernatural, and Buddhism. As we know, unfortunately, even though there are many productions on this subject, the projection, the flow of the story, and the progression have usually been poor. I often left such series unfinished.

But with Khemjira, from the very first episode I watched, I strangely felt more curiosity and desire for the series. I immediately wanted the next episode to be released, and I still do. Honestly, the progression so far is so beautiful and smooth, exactly at the right pace—neither lacking nor excessive, just as it should be. Especially the supernatural beings and ghosts were done wonderfully. They don’t look fake or artificial at all. When you watch, you don’t think, “Oh, this is so childish, like a cartoon.” Instead, you literally say, “Wow, that’s amazing!”

The chemistry between Khem and Wat entertains me a lot. Their harmony—especially Wat’s power—really impresses me. His commanding attitude instills real fear. I absolutely loved it. I adore both of them so much. If you enjoy this type of content, I strongly recommend watching it.

For me, this series doesn’t deserve just ten out of ten—it deserves a full hundred stars. After a long time, I finally found a show exactly the way I wanted it. After The Sign, this is the best supernatural mystery series I’ve watched. I love you, Khemjira and Watt. 😍🌟🖤🤍

Que bl foi esse?? Surreal tá!

Cara, eu nem sei como explicar o quanto eu amei esse BL! A atuação perfeita de todo o elenco foi meu ponto favorito. Os efeitos foram um dos melhores que já vi em BL, a produção está impecável e, FINALMENTE, uma história completa! Uma história sem falhas, que não te deixa pensando: “Mas não faz sentido, eles não explicaram como tal coisa aconteceu...”. Simplesmente não tem disso! Já vi tantos BLs assim que, meu Deus, um saco total... Mas essa história, além de muito bem feita, é linda, tanto a dos protagonistas quanto a do casal secundário (que também arrasaram MUITO). E, meu Deus, o Net aparecendo do nada! KKKKKKKKK juro que não estava esperando. A participação dele também foi muito legal. Enfim, quem estiver cogitando assistir, apenas assista, porque eu arrisco dizer que Khemjira foi um dos melhores BLs de 2025!!! Beijinhos e obrigada por ler 💕

Historia preciosa ?⭐️

Me encantó la historia; me gustó mucho porque también muestra a fondo las creencias y la cultura de los Tailandeses. Para Keng Namping, esta es su primera Serie como protagonistas, y su actuación fue de 10/10, tanto que olvidé que eran “rookies”. Las canciones son preciosas; Keng, Namping, Tle y Firstone tienen un talento increíble para cantar y suenan de maravilla. Creo que valdría la pena volver a verla, ya que la historia en sí te atrapa y te hace querer seguir viéndola. En general, la serie no es como las que solemos ver en la industria del BL y me encantó; valió cada minuto que vi.

Como foi bom ver a história se desenvolvendo

Um dos melhores bls que eu ja assisti, essa pegado de terror e fantasmas foi muito boa, trás uma identidade única pra serie, no começo eu achei que seria estranho mas eles desenvolveram tao bem a questao dessa parte mais assustadora junto com a parte mais romântica, foi tudo muito gostoso de assistir. O desenvolvimento profundo de cada personagem cada um com suas complexidade individuais que no fim acabam se ligando, isso deixa a série muito mais interessante de se assistir, sem contar a fotografia simplesmente linda, cada cena e cenários em lugares lindos, as cores fibrantes, cenas tao lindas e claras e cheias de vida que entram em contraste com cenas que puxam o ar de mistério e magia da série, simplesmente lindo.

Dukunnya jangan ditanya, justru dia penglarisnya, diem aja damagenya dapet banget. apalagi mode senyum malu-malu.

The first BL Horror yang beneran horror menurutku, gak yang ambil cerita fantasy kayak pacaran sama hantu kek atau ngusir hantu yang menurutku udh mainstream. good job bgt udah ambil genre ini dan punya makeup artist yang oke.
