It took me some time to write a review, even though I watched it a long time ago. I just loved it.

The way our dear Paran is handsome drives me crazy! I love him!

The series is so mature and at the same time innocent. I like the way they communicate, and even when they fight, there's a good reason to do it. When Khem went back to uni, I remember I said: "I'd go back too".

I learned a lot about Thai culture as well, and I could see more of the beautiful country itself.

I want to highlight that I'm terrified of horror, I can't watch it because I have had nightmares since I was a child lol but I could watch it anyway, and now I'm in love. I'd watch again anytime!

Khemjira was a drama that really surprised me. I expected something different from the usual BL series, but I didn't think it would be this interesting. The story kept me hooked from the beginning until the end.

One of the best things about this series is its unique plot. Instead of focusing only on romance, it mixes shamanism, family curses, past lives, and supernatural mystery. This makes the story feel fresh and exciting. The horror elements also add suspense without taking away from the emotional side of the drama. Every episode moves the story forward, and there are very few unnecessary scenes. I was always curious to know if Khem would be able to survive the curse before his 21st birthday. The village setting and the supernatural atmosphere made the series even more enjoyable.

The main couple, Master Pheem and Khem, have amazing chemistry. Keng and Namping did a wonderful job in their roles. Their relationship develops slowly, which makes every moment between them more meaningful. Watching their bond grow through small moments, caring actions, and emotional scenes was one of my favorite parts of the drama. Their performances felt natural and believable.

I also really enjoyed the side couple, Jet and Charn. Many dramas have side couples that don't add much to the story, but that wasn't the case here. They brought humor, warmth, and emotional support. Their playful arguments and the way they always looked out for Khem made them easy to love. They felt like an important part of the story instead of just extra romance.

Another fun surprise was Net Siraphop's cameo as Kachen. I wasn't expecting to see him, and his appearance made the drama even more exciting.

Overall, Khemjira has a strong story, excellent acting, beautiful visuals, and great chemistry between the characters. If you enjoy supernatural mysteries, emotional storytelling, and slow-burn romance, I highly recommend giving this drama a watch.

khemjira really did THAT and i am here for it

i have never been this satisfied with an ending. i have watched so many thai BL dramas over the years, from the most popular to the underrated ones, but khemjira truly stands out. it feels like more than just a series!! the horror was truly horroring, even if there were moments where the CGI was a little obvious, but it never took away from the tension or the atmosphere. it still managed to feel real and unsettling in the best way. the romance is slow, painful, REAL YEARNING and the way it unfolds amidst the chaos makes it even more powerful. every moment feels intentional, every scene crafted with care, and nothing ever feels wasted. you will definitely love both the main couple and the side couple equally, trust me.

what makes khemjira shine the most is its characters. each one has depth and purpose, their stories weaving together to create something so complete and meaningful. no one feels forgotten, no emotion feels forced, and that is what makes it so special. the cinematography is stunning, the soundtrack fits perfectly, and the acting makes every scene hit harder. you can tell how much heart and effort the whole team poured into it. khemjira really set a new standard for how storytelling should be done.

Stunning series. 10/10 if the pacing was a bit quicker.

The series shines with its amazing production, stunning acting, breathtaking chemistry between couples & heartfelt storytelling. I recommend everyone who doesn't mind a bit of horror to go and watch it!!
The only thing taking away from it being a perfect 10/10 is that the episodes were often almost 2 hours long and the series would've benefitted from not drawing everything out quite as long. That did stand out to me, among everything else that I really, really loved.
This series went above and beyond in creating a magical show that is respectful of and teaches a lot about spirituality, buddhist tales & symbolism. The characters have a lot of depth & the actors are able to portray so many emotions through simple glances, stares and posture. The NC scenes were very sensual, tasteful & added to the story. They felt natural and deeply romantic rather than placed in for titillation.
Thank you to all of the actors as well as the people behind the scenes for crafting this ama show.

A series that'll be a huge part of me.

The first episode was good, the way they wnd episodes makes me long for the next Saturday so much, Because in episode 8 they got me in a chokehold but in the end fans where like "they don't kiss because they cut the scene so it means they don't" ruined my hopes BUT EP 9 WAS SO CUTE, until we lost 3 persons in a episode. i'm happy to see the twins back on the screen AND THEY GOT ADOPTED TOO OMGG CUTIESS. but yk what still wanders my mind, if pheem (master) knew from the start that he has to lose his powers so khem can live does that also mean he was the first person to fall for khem and not khemjira for pheem?
But always the editors that edit this series are also so talented because all the special effects, they give me chills. but also the edits on tiktok are completely amazing just wish to see khem a bit more on edits but yk I can't be picky...
and please someone get me the fuck away from pheem's eyes because oh goodness I love his eyes so much but one thing im sure of if I ever see khem yk damn well what we gonn do🙏

⭐️ The OST brought me here and I HAVE NO REGRET !! BEST SERIES I've watch in awhile

I’ve been watching BL dramas for over 5–6 years now — Thai, Korean, Chinese, Taiwanese, Japanese, etc. I’ve seen most of what’s out there, and honestly, Khemjira really stands out as one of my absolute favorites. It’s rare for a series to pull me in so completely, but this one completely did. It was so good that I even rewatched the entire thing just a week after finishing it. I also rarely make a review but this series is too GOODDD to not share my thought so other can experience what i felt watching it .

🌀 Story & Plot

What truly impressed me was the storytelling. For once, I watched an entire series without skipping scenes or speeding things up , that almost never happens for me. These days there are too many BL coming out without actual plot or plot that are too cliche. But as for Khemjira, the plot was engaging from the very first episode, fast-paced yet emotionally rich. There were no unnecessary side stories or filler moments; everything served a purpose. The story telling was beautifully done.

ANDD that plot twist, the revelation that the monk was actually the son of the Ramphueng — was done so well! I especially loved how they developed her character; I went from seeing her as a villain to genuinely sympathizing with her. It’s rare for a BL drama to balance supernatural elements, emotional depth, and moral complexity this effectively. The way they showcase each person story without over shadowing the main lead and main plot was amazing. The writer / directors all did very well.

🎭 Acting & Characters

THISSS!!!!!! The cast did an incredible job bringing the story to life. Keng is effortlessly charismatic and, let’s be honest, absolutely stunning on screen. But what really surprised me was Namping’s performance, his acting was phenomenal. His emotional scenes, especially when he cried, felt so natural and heartfelt. It’s not common in Thai BLs to see such strong emotional delivery, but he nailed it. Every tear felt real, and it made the story hit even harder. Not just the main lead but all the side characters play their role so well.

I also want to praise the actress that played Ramphueng, because she was a vital part of the series and she did amazing. She got me sobbing with her EP 12. I absolutely despise her but completely sympathize with her. I just wanted to give her a big hug.

🤝 Friendship

One of my favorite things about Thai BLs is how they portray friendship, and Khemjira captures that beautifully. The bond between the main lead and Jet was one of the highlights of the series for me. Jet’s loyalty, love, and quiet support were heartwarming, and his relationship with Cham was just adorable. Their friendship added so much emotional warmth and balance to the overall story. The way not only Jet but his sister Jane was willing to put their life in danger in order to save Khem was so beautiful.

🎵 OST & Atmosphere

BEST OST!!!!!!

The OST deserves special praise. The main song, “Mantra” by Keng, is what initially made me curious about the series . I was showering when i first heard the song. I thought it was JEFF but when i realized it was Keng and a ost from this series . I immediately start series. I’m so glad it did. It’s hauntingly beautiful and perfectly fits the tone of the story. Every track was used thoughtfully to enhance the emotional beats and atmosphere. The soundtrack truly elevated the entire viewing experience.

💫 Final Thoughts

Khemjira is one of those rare BL dramas that checks every box — strong plot, great pacing, emotional depth, talented actors, meaningful friendships, and a stunning soundtrack. It’s a refreshing reminder that BLs can be both entertaining and deeply moving.

As someone who has been watching BLs for years across different countries, I can confidently say that Khemjira deserves way more recognition. It’s not just a good BL . it’s an excellent series in its own right.

Khemistry in Spades

Ep 1 - c’mon horror theme, I never get goosebumps but that opening scene was scary, cool AND funny lol. But seriously, how beautiful can an actor lewk walking down a dark alley in Thailand! Namping is serving face chile.

And lordy did I get get chills seeing Namping/Khem’s father as a monk. It was shocking, scary and heart wrenching all at once and we’re only 1 episode in.

The red toolbox, chills again…seriously I’m really difficult to scare but ok, Ima keep watchin ya 😟😥😂.

Masters spirit dolls are the cutest.

Background music and OST, honestly from the trauma of ballad ridden The Next Prince and it’s clunky sound scene changes and BG music that is a character in itself, Mandee Work I was skeeerddd for this one, BUT, refreshingly it’s all really quite good, with a bit of silly so TNPs bigger budget doesn’t always mean better Mandee Work.

We have story, a plot and good acting, winning!

Keng and Namping finally have their own series. We’ve been waiting since they were paired in 2023’s DMD Friendship The Reality after their excellent showcase highlighting their Northern heritage Keng from Phayao on the Laos border and Namping from Mae Hong Son on the Myanmarr border. It was a cute showcase vying to win starring in a series, go have a look at their early Khemistry (see what I did there 🤣). In the series they were up against #ThomasKong no less and see where they are now!

Personally, I think Namping is very beautiful on screen and Keng comes across as stoic and mature. I’m really looking forward to seeing how they’re acting has evolved in this horror comedy series.

Honestly one of the best BL's !!!

As someone who's been a supporter of KengNamping ever since the DMD friendship show S1 (Which everyone should watch) I did have a personal dislike to Keng - you will understand once you watch it. But I'm so glad in the end he choose him..

Moving on with the production of Khemjira it's soooo good! From the setting, plotline and chemistry its insane. I'm not even being shady about it. From the trailer it was already bound to be likeable and the cast hello?? Fine ass people!!! Master Peems back has it's own fandom and I'm so glad that some people's first BL is this.

What I don't like is the downgrade of some people who say "This is too good to be BL" like what? It's a slow build up the relationship between the two main leads and it shows the past lives of both couples. It's horror and very addicting what's not to love about this show!

I wasn't expecting to fall in love with this show

It's been a while since I've been that much hooked on a TV show.
I almost didn't start it because of its horror aspects but I decided to give it a try anyway since I liked Keng in Paradise of Thorns.

It starts slow but the story is building at a constant pace that makes you more and more interested.
As weeks went on, I found myself waiting for the next episode more and more.

The love story is not the center of the show, it really is the story of Khemjira.
We follow Khemjira's journey, his hardships, friendships and we see him grow up despite all he's facing. Khem is a character you fall easily in love with. He's funny, gentle, thoughtful and a good friend.

We meet Master who is the shaman of a village in eastern Thailand. He seems stern at first but we quickly guess this side of him is a facade.

Jet and Charn are the perfect sidekicks and their story is cute too.

Even if the love story is not central, the romance is so good. It's subtle, not the "in your face" kind of way. It's the stolen glances, the emotions between the characters, the obstacles on their way. Damn, it's good !!

The show is well written and that's what makes it such a good one. I think good writing is what lacks in so much BLs and that's a shame. This series shows us how good writing affects the viewer's experience. Here the writing is perfect. I guess the book it's based on must be really good.

What I loved in this show is the beauty of it. The colors, the countryside, the beautiful traditional houses, the villagers... It makes you want to see Thailand's beauty with your own eyes. This show is filmed like an ode to Thailand's traditions and people. It makes the viewer fall in love with it.

The acting is also very good. All the characters are convincing. You can tell the actors became their character. Not a cringy moment. The actors convayed genuine émotions without being over dramatic. The director did a really good job.

Finally, the OSTs are top tier. I'm not an OST listener. I usually either don't like it or I'm rather neutral about it. But I've got the soundtrack on repeat these days. The songs are amazing and they compliment the story. Wether it's the one sung or the melody only, they are amazing. They make you immersed in the story which is what every OST should do. I can't wait for all of them to be released!

I can only recommend this show. I've already recommended it to everyone around me in hope they fall in love with it too.
Get in, this is such a good ride. You won't regret it.
