Mysterious and interesting mini-show
This is an interesting mini-show. The storyline is mysterious and it’s hard to figure out what is behind all the actions of ML. That is always a good thing. The ending makes so much sense and even if it is a sad one, it is also the right one.Character wise:
FL is a kind woman whose blood is needed for ML to survive.
ML is a cold and emotionless man (or rather half-demon) who has to do certain things to lift a curse on him. He is very hard to read and manipulates people around him like puppets.
Acting wise this is not exactly top shelf, but it is absolutely not bad. The actors do a good job within the limited timeframe - and the chemistry between the main leads is off the charts. Their scenes are so intense that you cannot avoid being captivated.
Well, if you like stories that are hard to predict, this is a very nice watch.

What type of drama is this?
So basically its a very interesting drama that confuses everyone since the ML is shown as emotionless and it looks like he only wants to use the FL for his own gain so he can live. I could already guess that he isn't as bad as everyone thinks and as he shows. Later on in the story I do question the FL a lot because I didn't think the story would end like how it did, but it dies make sense and really shows the meaning to the saying that you only realise how much you love someone when they leave. If your worried about cliffhangers or worried that the drama will end without answering your questions then don't worry. It justifies the actions of the ML lead and as the story is revealed it leave no questions unanswered. This drama made me realise that the one who suffers from the beginning can suffer till death even if they are innocent. It doesn't matter how good your heart is, people will never know or understand you. I truly recommend this drama hope you can watch it 😁Was this review helpful to you?

Huang Jing Zhou was impressive as half demon
I had this drama in my playlist for half a year. I think I added it after watching Dong Lan Xue. Well last night I felt it was time to watch the drama. I have watched Huang Jing Zhou's dramas but this is my first time watching Yang Yi Mo's acting. Overall I enjoyed the drama.What I liked:
1. ML characterisation - He was mysterious at the start, more like an antagonist but turned out to be anti-hero. Huang Jing Zhou did well as the half-demon ML. I could see his character's internal struggle between his survival & FL's survival.
2. Writing - Very fascinating combo of drama, fantasy & romance. I liked that the drama centred around survival, slavery & ethics. The 2 twists surprised me. That line about humans being scariest than ghosts / witchcraft is true.
3. Supporting characters - Well written supporting characters in particular FL's family & friend.
4. VFX - I like the effects they did for blood shed.
What I disliked:
1. FL characterisation - I understand her hatred for ML but after awhile it stunted her character growth. She seemed helpless but not as pathetic. I was also underwhelmed by Yang Yi Mo's performance but perhaps this was tied to her character's development.
2. Romance - I don't sense much romance considering FL was always hostile towards ML. I could see ML's changing the way he treated FL halfway through the drama. It was definitely one-sided romance. Anyway I enjoyed his bloodsucking scenes.

MEU MINI C-DRAMA PREFERIDO!
AMOOOO, já assisti várias vezes, e em todas ela parece que é a primeira vez!Não vou listar pontos negativos e positivos, porque sendo esse um mini cdrama, sabemos que o orçamento foi de uma coxinha e um guaraná, então os aspectos técnicos não são perfeitos (por exemplo, o cgi), e tirando o ator que fez o fantoche, o restante do elenco é ótimo. Em especial, Huang Jing Zhou. Já vi alguns mini com ele, e ele é realmente ótimo!! Yang Yimo maravilhosa, como sempre também. Apesar do cgi não ser grandes coisas (nunca é nem em dramas longos KKK), a fotografia é muito bonita, trilha sonora ok, figurinos e cenários bem feitnhos.
Mas a história, a história minhas amigas... é a melhor!!! Amo a tensão e a química absurda do cp, uma coisa surreal! Amo que a Changxia era firme em suas decisões, não tinha medo, não voltava atrás, mesmo tendo uma vida difícil, ela buscou sua liberdade até o fim! E visto que Mo Jia era sim, abusivo e opressor com ela, fez muito sentido ela não se dar conta/não entender/aceitar o lado positivo que ele tinha, assim, de cara. Afinal, foram muitos anos em cativeiro, né?
E não tirando a culpa de todas as ações ruins que nosso ML fez, e as magoas que causou na nossa FL, ele era sim muito, muito lamentável... Ficou com dois fardos que não queria carregar, que era a seita do falecido pai, e decidir se morria cedo ou arrancava o coração da Changxia para continuar vivendo... Então, ao final, você entende o raciocínio dele em ser odiado pela Changxia, não só pra morrer pelas mãos dela (único jeito de morrer), mas para que, em ele morrendo, ela não sofresse demais, dor, luto, etc (deu errado essa última parte K)... É um drama com muitas emoções, você começa eufórico, com as interações afiadas dos dois, e a carga dramática não decepciona, dor, tristeza.... E assim vai o drama todo. Sem uma única unidade de episódio chato!
Enfim, apesar de ser um mini, a história é densa, não é preto no branco, não fica entre a dicotomia do bem e do mal, mas mostra os empasses e decisões difíceis que os protagonistas tinham que tomar, e depois as consequências disso, tudo em entrelaçado com amor e ódio. Não tem furo e apesar de curto, achei o desenvolvimento de toda a história, muito bem feito. 10/10
