No Injustice in This World

Im here basically for my baby Ao Rui Peng, but I got lot of surprises as long I watched the drama. This is my best summer drama that I ever watched this year, and here is why,

Story,
OMG this is so engaging! Even of the genre isn't my cup of tea,but I ended up watched it in just 2 days. Such an accomplishment!
Each of the case lit up my curiosity, the headless bride case is an epic opening, Qin's third branch was despicable, eldest senior master's case was love turn into evil, the trope and general's case and the heavenly something sect's case was embodiment of when finally take action because authorities are corrupt, And all of the case arrangement are so good. Even the grand case of the evil deeds of the emperor and the 3rd prince was perfectly executed.
After all of this shit happens, the end of the evil was the most perfect ending I've ever watched in drama.

Acting and Cast,
How come the casting director can hire such an incredible actors for each case? This is the most perfect cast I ever watched, like you know the casting team pour all of their effort to bring each character come to life. Like each od fhe actor got their time to shine and acting skill so perfectly.
Ao Rui Peng, my baby, you did a great job! Li Landi also the other actors really amazed me with their skill.
And I was so surprised by appearance of familiar faces from short drama artist like Liu Run Ming, Zheng Feng, and even Hu Yi Yao, they are SHINE.
Thank you for all of the cast and the casting team that made me enjoyed the show very much!

Music and BGM,
Such an amazing song that matched the drama perfectly sang by my love Zhou Shen and Curley Gao! And the BGM placement was so good.

Overall I enjoyed this drama as I enjoy watching Under The Skin. This two was my only favorite crime drama. Thank you for all of the pre-production, actors, and post production teams. Its worth my subscription's money!

This FL does not disappoint, and neither does this couple!

From the beginning to the end, this drama left me captivated and desperate for more. Firstly, the romance. The FL and the ML were amazingly written, from their tension in the beginning, to their sweet and bubbly romantic scenes, this couple delivered in terms of chemistry and sweetness. I also loved that their were no misunderstandings or breakup, a smooth and loving journey the whole way. Now, for the plot and characters. I loved this unique coroner plot, it was something fresh and interesting. Our FL is smart, kind and fierce; everything you could ask for in an FL, a true role model. While our ML, a seemingly isolated and cold figure immediately gains puppy eyes for our FL. I loved them both. All I would have to say is that towards the end, the story became much more plot heavy and we saw less sweet and cute scenes between the couple, which I especially wished for since they were finally married, but other then that, it was an amazing watch. Highly recommend.

A Phenomenal Case By Case Historical Mystery Drama With Amazing Cast!

Coroner's Diary is the dark horse of 2025 Historical Mystery cdrama! But WARNING: It has GORE, LOT'S OF BLOOD, AND CORPSES. Don't watch it if you are squeamish.
Honestly, it has everything you'd want in a historical drama, or at least for me. There was no dark holes in acting, the cases were very intriguing as the episodes went by. The story line and how it ties up at the end was quite satisfy and it really resonates with what the main leads believe in.

I have definitely seen both Ao Rui Peng and LI Land Di's dramas before. I must say Ao Rui Peng has been rising on my list of favorite "new" actors to look forward to.
Ao Rui Peng plays the Prince Rui aka Yan Chi. He is the young Marshal of the Shuoxi Army, and known to have one of the best martial arts in the army. Yan Chi is a protective, loyal, and extremely help green flag of a man. He cares about justice and the people around him! ARP gave the martial arts choreography immense justice, every move he made was extremely fun and satisfying to watch! His acting is also amazing! I loved his expression, the subtle and micro expressions - this is always a A+ actor in my book! Although in the beginning I feel like when looks at Li Landi aka Wan Er, he would give her like big puppy eyes look, but it also cause he has big round eyes. Eventually that would go away and I wasn't noticing it as much. lol Overall, his acting is great! I especially loved the part when he did the execution of a certain character, you could feel the anger emanating from him, the power when he swings his sword around. It was a chef's kiss moment!

Li Landi plays the female lead, Qin Wan/Shen Wan. She is a very intelligent, observant, caring, and compassionate female lead. Although she wanted to find justice forher father, she knew she had to rise up the ranks through skills alone. She is probably the female lead with the most job: detective, doctor, and coroner! With all these skills, she helped Yan Chi solve multiple cases, and she the vital character in solving the main case at the end of the drama. She does not let antagonists step on her, and will fight back if needed. However, she is quite forgiving, and seriously she should've thrown that one character for always being a b*tch. lol I've always been a fan of Li Landi, she is a very natural actress, so there's really nothing bad to say about it. I think I've seen many of her dramas that I cannot pinpoint which scene was very powerful in this drama as she's pretty embodies the power with her words alone.

Notoable mentions would be the Emperor played by Ren Zhong. I initially thought Ren Zhong was not a good actor because you can tell somethign was off about him the moment appeared. It felt like he was fake "acting" when it reality there is something much more sinister about his character. Eventually his true colors showed, and the plot twist of this drama surprised me. I don't think I ever heard of twin Emperors in any cdrama that I have watched and I have watched a TON. It makes the story quite unique aside from dissecting corpses.
Shen Yu Jie plays Princess Yongning - I was waiting for the moment when she betrays Wan Er but nope, she's a girls' girl, best friends for life! She always have Wan Er's back and will protect her to the best of her abilities, second to Yan Chi. I love her loyalty to Wan Er! Her acting was very natural as well! She's definitely one of my fav characters of the drama

The production team behind Coroner's Diary also need a round of applause because I was very surprised by the way they filmed and edit certain scenes. For example, the transition between three characters while a fourth character was being executed- It gave me GOOSE BUMPS! I just loved the way they edit that part. The point of views when it comes to certain scenes that need the power dynamic was very, very nice to watch as well. The corpse and organs looked quite realistic adding to the the goriness of this drama. It's definitely not for the faint of heart!

Would I recommend this drama? Definitely yes, if you can handle gore.
If you enjoy watching historical, mystery, intelligent characters, martial arts, closely knit circle of friends and family then this is definitely a drama for you!

MASTERPIECE!

OMG, guys. I just finished watching Coroner's Diary and I swear, this drama is a masterpiece. It’s honestly one of the best Chinese dramas I’ve ever seen. I didn’t expect to love it this much, but once I started, I couldn’t stop watching. I was completely hooked!

The story was so interesting and well-written. Each case made me curious, and I loved how smart the main characters were. They used science, clues, and careful thinking to solve each mystery. The drama kept me guessing until the end, and every episode made me want to know more. I never got bored!

One of the things I loved the most was the ending. It was very satisfying. All the bad people got what they deserved, and nothing felt rushed or confusing. It was the kind of ending that makes you feel like everything finally made sense, and justice was served. I was so happy with how it all turned out.

If you’re looking for a C-drama that’s exciting, smart, and has a great ending, Coroner's Diary is a must-watch. I really recommend it. It’s the kind of show that stays with you even after it ends.

A high-quality investigation series, with excellent actors, but not addictive

A mix of Sherlock Holmes and NCIS in historical style, with Ao Rui Peng and Landy Li as investigative CL.

PLOT: The FL, a genius female doctor and coroner, survives the murder of her parents by posing as Wan Qin (her late friend). She meets the ML, Prince Yan Qi and the emperor's nephew, held hostage in the capital to ensure the loyalty of his general father. They join forces to solve murders (or series of murders), fall in love, and become embroiled in power struggles while solving the key to all the cases.

+++ Great CL (Ao Rui Peng and Landy Li), with a lot of charisma and chemistry.
+++ Lively and effective production, alternating very dark scenes, suspense, and romantic or light scenes (very useful for lightening the atmosphere). Great cinematography (effects, lighting, slow motion, framing, etc.)
+++ A bunch of talented actors, bringing life to endearing characters.
+++ Excellent OSTs

### The "historical coroner" aspect, with today's techniques, doesn't seem very credible :)

=> A high-quality series, with excellent actors, but not addictive.

********************************************

Great cinematography (effects, light, slow motion, framing, etc.)
+++ A bunch of talented actors, bringing life to endearing characters.
+++ Excellent OSTs

### L'aspect "coroner historique" avec les techniques d'aujourd'hui, ne semble pas très crédible :)

=> Série de qualité, avec d'excellents acteurs, mais pas addictive.

Darkhorse of the summer!

I chose to watch this c-drama on a whim. I was bored and nothing was interesting me. I love mystery dramas with a romantic subplot so when I saw a clip of this show trending, I was immediately hooked. I was wary at first because I didn't know what to expect. But it was ABSOLUTELY fantastic. The main leads' acting was just incredible to watch. How are they not praised more? I was shocked at how good they acted throughout the drama. Also, the chemistry between them was just DELICIOUS. I loved how the male lead admired the female lead for her skills and talent, but also he had his own strengths and they balanced each other out so well.

The cases were interesting enough. My only criticism is that sometimes it was difficult to follow, especially the royal lineage. I was like who is related to who??? But it does become more clear towards the end. There is also a really nice family found trope as well! I JUST LOVED this drama. I need everyone to watch it. You won't regret it.

DRAMA OF THE YEAR!!!

THIS SHOW WAS AMAZING. From episode ONE I was completely hooked. It's literally just Apothecary Diaries but live action, in Chinese, and the romance is NOT A SLOW BURN!!! What I loved most about this show was how fast-paced the romance was. He fell first (at first sight too) AND fell harder. No miscommunication, no drawn-out conflicts- JUST PERFECT. Yan Chi was the sweetest guy ever and I thought he and Shen Wan were beautiful together.
The plot was amazing. It was the perfect mix of murder mysteries and political struggles. I love the slow build-up: how the first mysteries were wrapped up within a few episodes but as the show drew on they began to build up to the final great issue. I didn't see some of the plot twists coming at all (although some of them I did see haha). I really value plot in a show, and Coroner's Diary DELIVERED.
100% would rewatch this show (every day if possible).

THIS IS SOO GOOD!

I was going to wait until finishing the drama but damn!!! I couldn't wait!

I never knew I needed this couple! Landy and Ao really slayed the chemistry in this one!

The things I fell in love with:
- DETAILS: they really went all out on the autopsy reports, the blood and gore and body details and display of great forensic skills
- CHEMISTRY: the Main lead pair won over my heart. I have seen individual dramas of both Ao and Landy, but together...WOW! Their chemistry is sooo good! It's slow, gradual, naturally falling in love little by little. The way Ao knows Wan and her actual identity and gives her hope and promises to bring justice to her father...loved it!
- VA: The voice actor that dubs Ao's character! Hatss off to you man! Whoever this guy is, fabulous dubbing! Really suits Ao and the characters he plays. It was the same voice actor in Moonlight Mystique also.
- OSTs
- CASES and political storyline, but more so the cases related to the discovered corpses

The one where they find the 13 girls in the well...omg I cried so much! The story, the heartbreak, the way they uncover the horrifying truth of what had happened, the monster that was the head Qin An, and Ao and Landy's acting! Wow...just wow! When Landy breaks down while cleaning the bones of those girls! That scene needs an award of it's own! It was a masterpiece!

After Legend of Zhang Hai, this drama won me over! Everything is in the details like they say.

__________

The last 6 episodes were INTENSE!!! Although I had guessed some of it, I'm soooooo happy we got a nice ending, with every couple getting a good happily ever after!
So many cdramas nowadays ending with sad or open ending! And it pisses me off!

BUT THIS ONE IS A TRUE GEM!

Nice pacing, good cases stories, really well done acting, chemistry was terrific! The script, osts, everything was great!

Rewatch: 10/10

A great watch!

I started watching this drama because of Ao Rui Peng, and having enjoyed Li Landy’s previous works, I was already familiar with her solid acting. I went in with zero expectations, assuming it would be a typical detective-style plot but it completely exceeded what I imagined. Every scene adds meaningfully to the story and kept me fully engaged. So far, I’m impressed with the pacing and character development. The coroner’s examination scenes are especially detailed, and the explanations are logical enough that I don’t have to switch off my brain to enjoy them.

Edit:
I have now watched all 38 episodes. When it came to the different types of crime in this story, most of them paced well. The show dropped subtle hints to help guess, yet still managed to surprise with unexpected twists, making it even more intriguing, but at certain moments, the facial expressions of certain people gave it away. The crime by the tailor felt super shot, some were a bit draggy but at least the cases tied well without a loop hole. Overall it's a great watch with a satisfying ending.

So Coroners diary = mystery + creepy cases + romance + acting + funny

Excelente drama!

Bem feito e bem executado.
