I wasn’t planning to write a review, but…
[edited on October 9]I wasn’t planning to write a review but the many bad and one stars reviews I saw for this drama, gave me the need to do so.
I really can’t understand why this drama got so many bad reviews. Alright that it wasn’t quite what I would hoped for when I saw the cast and the screenwriter lined up for this, but in the end, it was still an enjoyable watch.
The chemistry between Suzy and Woo Bin is undeniable, I saw some reviews criticizing it and I couldn’t phantom why. Some reviews also complained about the lack of character development, but I honestly found the drama quite realistic in that sense.
Suzy’s character is a psychopath, which means her brain is different from that of a normal person, you can’t expect a psychopath to suddenly develop emotions and starting to have feelings like a normal person would because they WON’T, that’s a disorder and it can’t be cured, simple as that. The reason some psychopaths become killers is because that gives them a rush of adrenaline which makes them feel something, on the same sense, some go into extreme sports just to feel the rush of adrenaline of something that could kill them, that’s how they work, no miracles here, they don’t suddenly catch feelings and become a “normal person”. All that to say that I really enjoyed Suzy’s character for that, she was moved by curiosity and rules, which makes total sense, the genie made her feel something because he was completely out of this world and evidently dangerous, which gave her that adrenaline rush time and time again, same reason why she was into high risk investments, because the rush of possibly losing it all gives you that little thrill. Besides, I would feel so damn annoyed if they pulled all that “love cures all” bs we see so often in dramas that address some sort of mental disorder, especially so because this one isn’t one that can be treated, and more than that, it would be infuriating to see her change because of a freaking genie instead of doing so for her grandma and best friend.
Now on to the genie, I also think his character just made sense, he is bad, he doesn’t like humans, his loyalty belongs to his brothers alone and that’s it. The only human he ever felt something for was FL because she was righteous and proved his beliefs about human nature to be wrong, and that curiosity — to see and understand something he had never encountered before, led him to slowly fall in love with her during her first life. He is a mystical creature, something above human reasoning, so his lack of emotion for humanity is understandable — especially so when said humans betrayed him in the moment of his despair when he made himself vulnerable for them for the first time, proving his own beliefs all over again — which takes us back to him caring only for her: because from all the humans he came across, she was the only one who ever proved him wrong and the only one who ever cared for him, all of which made his changes in the end completely understandable to me: his rules came from his experience with her and his brothers and what had hurt them, not because he cared for humans, but because he loved his family and wouldn’t risk the same mistakes again.
Honestly, to see so many people criticize these plot points, makes me wonder if we were really watching the same drama… I get this will be a personal experience and each person will feel differently because everyone was expecting different things, but overall, I really enjoyed the drama. The effects were great, the story was engaging and the cast was spectacular, were there some weak points to it? Sure, but overall it was a great watch. The only thing that let me down a bit was the ending, because it felt kind of rushed and undersatisfying (specially because I wanted to see that infuriating death angel suffer miserable and he didn’t), but then again… Netflix. I also didn’t quite like how things turned out in the end, like Iblis disappearing and suddenly coming back… I just hate that kind of plot, however, it was to be expected, since the writer pulled the same thing on Goblin. Eitherway, the bottom line is that I enjoyed and would totally recommend this drama despite the opposing opinions.

Literally worth the time watch it y'all!!
Okay, so this is my first time writing a review for a drama, so it might seem messy, so ignore that, y'all, but I just couldn't help it after reading all these bad reviews about the drama. I feel like either most of them might have dropped the drama or just have different opinions, but alas! YALL I LOVE THIS DRAMA I'M NOT KIDDING BEST DRAMA OF 2025 FOR MESo, the first 1 was quite okayish but not that interesting, ngl compared to later episodes, and y'all, I promise that the later episodes are so worth it. Basically, the first three episodes were the build-up for the later episodes. I don't know, as I'm writing a review for the first time, whether I'm supposed to spoil it or not, but I have to say the actors killed it
Kim Woobin and Suzy Litreally ate the drama up and the side character omg little star and THE KID YALL IM NOT KIDDING I HATE HIM (watch it to know why lol) The angel and that owl girl or whatever she was were quite cute in the starting but later omggg (still trying not to reveal much as i want yall to watch the drama)
AND THOSE COMMENTS SAYING KIM WOOBING AND SUZY DON'T HAVE CHEMISTRY PLSSS I literally squealed when they were kissing, they are SO cute I can't honestly and suzy character omgg so slay like especially in the last episode omg like for 12 episode she was pretty badass but dang! The last episode made me her fan, I can't, and the cameo was pretty cute as well
Episodes 12 and 13 had me crying hard. I'm NOT even kidding, it was so bad !! This was my first drama of both Suzy and Woobin, and y'all, I came without knowing anything much about the actors and the drama itself, but now I'm going back as a fan, omgg, they are so cute, they ate with the acting genuinely
But like the story itself was pretty interesting and mostly unique and ne,w and oh my god I love it
Lastly, just wanna make my heart so warm after seeing the ending(IT'S A HAPPPY ENDING LETS GO NO KTRAUAM)
SO if you are looking for something unique, funny, and interesting and emotional as well, Pls do give it a try, it is so worth the time (lol binged watch it in a day says a lot about it)

Here is your positive review - i loved it!
I am so glad i watched the drama before watching the reviews here!!!I enjoyed every moment of this drama and it's a shame that it came to an end.
The best i could describe this drama is that it took a great parts of kdramas and inserted them in one.
The beginning reminded me of The King, fast paced, amazing bickering chimesty. Suzy (FL) personality reminds me of IU from Hotel del Luna, a character i longed for for a long time. A fantasy that reminds me of goblin yet less complicated/dramatic.
I really loved Suzy acting this time; her acting always seems lacking somehow and either a hit or miss, but this time i feel like she infused the role and the role became her.
Woo Bin character was so fun to watch, he had this very unserious funny role and i thought at the beginning that it would be hard to watch, but honestly he nailed it. And he never lost his charisma in the process, it's Woo Bin after all!
Regarding the story, it started very very quickly, never turned boring and never got too complicated. It was a delight watch.
If you are looking for something as heavy as goblin, or expecting some insane plot like mouse/signal, this drama is not for you. This drama was made to be easy to watch and to enjoy very lightly, and they ALL did amazing job doing that.
Highly recommended for quick laughs with beautiful emotions, and breathtaking visuals of the one and only Suzy.

ALMOST ALL REVIEWS HERE ARE DISINGENUOUS. This is a warning ⚠️ to judge for yourself
Even before a single episode of this drama was released, there was a whole smear campaign against this drama calling it " THE WORST DRAMA" because of something very simple like the name of the character. The drama is fictional but religious people in general always come to preach about being respectful after being one of the biggest perpetrators of systemic oppression and disrespect towards human rights. This is also a lesson for the writer. For her next muse, she needs to cater to people who are pretty liberal with their ideas about what a writer can or cannot name a made up character. Greeks are well known for having a rational and scientific mindset about their mythology but she had to choose the worst option for drama setting.
I guess she didn't have an idea about the extent of damage religious fanatics can do. Nevermind, this will send a clear message to the korean writers and showmakers and this might be the first and last time this has happened.
So, if you actually wish to know how the drama is, DON'T JUDGE WITH MY REVIEW OR THE REVIEWS HERE because the picture here is either fabricated in a sly manner of straight up an act of religious intolerance towards writer's creativity and freedom of speech.
Go watch it and be the judge yourself!

The Magic of Community
This is my first kdrama in a long while--I don't know why but the recent ones have been so mediocre and uninteresting that I've not started any and the few I have I dropped early. This one however was a binge watch. I enjoyed all the episodes and I really liked the end.
The main couple in the drama, Wonbin and Suzy, are cult faves. I am not a huge fan of either--I've barely watched their dramas and I haven't watched any where they worked together. So, my review is not blinded by their stardom and is honest.
I enjoyed Kayoung's character, I totally understand why she was made a psychopath and I think that does put a refreshing spin to the usual fantasy romance. Iblis was hilarious and scary. Dr Choi was such a sweetheart and I hope she finds happiness and love in her life <3
The village was imperfect but sweet nonetheless. The Chang-Sik character, village chief, was refreshing. Loved Pan-Geum's final arc, a badass grandma till the end. I do wish I could smack a few people but that's acceptable.
I actually really liked the other stories woven into the amin storyline--how else would we see all the destruction wishes can bring AND all the ways Iblis twists words to bring forth that destruction.
Anything else? Oh yes, @netflix--great intro, horrible subs.

Best one I've ever had in this category!
First off all, the movie doesn't focus primarily on the main character's job or duty. That's the sub part, but main part is what happens between them. The show got rid of all the unnecessary subplots. And showed little parts of what they could've added as a whole subplot and didn't, just to save time of your valuable life.
Suzy succeeded at showing a psychotpaths attitude which a lot of people misunderstood as emotionless. Those are literally psychopaths.
Plot was really good except it offended some religions. Most movies are easy to except what's gonna happen next and this one's plots are endless.
Really good show overall! Recommended!

As a Muslim I really didn't mind the concept of iblees being taken
As a Muslim I really didn't mind the concept of iblees being taken I mean they didn't say he was wronged from the start they even showed him being beaten up by the very creation he loathed and falling for the same creation I don't know why you all didn't like it I laughed soo much everytime he was beaten up and the acting of every character was sooo damn good we could see when the FL lead finally started changing because of genie the change in her expressions was prominent especially when she was scared and sad for the first time....I've seen wayy too many kdramas ever since I was a child and I hardly like many kdramas but this one didn't disappoint I wasn't bored all night I was hooked on every episode

humor with fantasy elements, and an invitation to reflect on desires and the human condition
The international popularity of the South Korean drama "All Your Wishes Come True," or "Genie Make a Wish," released this October 2025, is growing because it highlights the blend of romance, fantasy, and humor with the charisma of Kim Woo-bin and Suzy. The drama's visual aesthetic is simply stunning, and the reflection on human nature and the power of wishes is an additional invitation to watch the drama until the end.
The series has an engaging narrative, and the chemistry between the protagonists, full of moments of humor, emotion, and tension, is highly explosive!
The plot development was carefully crafted to deliver a drama with a fun and exciting dynamic.
The drama cleverly blends genres and successfully presents a combination of fantasy, romantic comedy, and elements of reflection on human nature.
The drama's visual aesthetic features ethereal and luminous photography that creates a fairytale atmosphere, with delicate visual effects and costumes that help tell the story.
I've already watched it twice in the same month and recommend the drama because it provides an engaging experience, delivering a powerful message and inviting reflection on themes such as temptation, corruption through power, and the capacity to love and feel.
The tone of this drama's humor is exceptionally high, refined, and cleverly aligned with witty one-liners that fit well with the story.
This drama has often been compared to Goblin, but in my opinion, the romance in the series wasn't the main focus.
In my opinion, this drama stands out from other supernatural fantasy dramas and romantic comedies because it prioritizes plot development by exploring the relationships of third parties to develop the characters.
I recommend the drama "Genius of Wishes" because it offers emotional delivery, a good dose of humor with fantasy elements, and an invitation to reflect on desires and the human condition.

A Breath of Fresh air in monotonous Kdrama land
This review will be in two parts.1st part - the actual drama &
2nd part - my views on the hateful comment section this and many other dramas are getting.
---------------- 1st PART --------------------
I am forced to write this review as this drama is getting buried by the false hateful rating, reviews and comments it is getting.
This drama experiments with many new intresting elements new to Kdramas.
Good parts :-
1) 4th wall breaking scenes (like Deadpool) are new and it is done so that it doesn't feel jarring to usual narrative and continuation.
2) Humour is not rinse and repeat i.e. jokes are new and even made including 4th wall like Song hye kyo guest where she acknowledges her real life character. The jokes are actually funny.
3) Psychopath character are done in so many ways in kdramas that it gets increasingly difficult to portray it with new twist. But Bae Suzy does it so good by being a inherently good psychopath who doesn't feel emotions.
4) All the actors and side characters were good with their acting especially or ML the genie.
5)Side Character stories are good and their three wishes are what holds the whole plot of this drama for 13 episodes and doesn't make it monotonous.
Bad parts:
1) Side Character should have been given more time to flesh out their stories and doesn't make the some plot points repetitive.
2) Too many famous faces especially including Ahn Eun Jin was not justified by not giving her enough time to act out her scenes.
3) OST felt lacking. Some good songs were needed to emphasize plots.
4) Too many plots to cover lead to fast pacing which made it tough to immerse yourself in the drama.
Overall this is a good one time watch for its fantasy genre, Chemistry between both leads and enchanting visuals.
----------------- 2nd Part-------------------------
PEOPLE WITH FRAGILE FEELINGS KEEP AWAY
With my watch history there should have been more reviews but I don't like writing. I was angry enough to write this review after seeing the bad rating and comments this and many other drama is getting.
First off to start,
STOP IMPOSING YOUR IDEA OF BLASPHEMY ON OTHERS.
Blasphemy doesn't always have to be religious it can also be cultural. Someone's cherished views of their culture can be different from other's view of cultures. That doesn't mean one can be racist but everyone is free to hold their views.
People were also hating on Tempest and Bon Appetit, Your Majesty.
WHY IS IT ALWAYS WITH CIVILIZATIONS WHERE THEIR IS LIMITED FREE SPEECH THAT THEY HAVE A PROBLEM WITH CREATIVE WORKS OF FICTIONAL DRAMAS?
Islam has Blasphemy and Chinese have their party controlled walled garden. If you don't like something don't watch. Is it so hard to understand the concept of free speech.
This drama is based on Arab culture which is basically Persian. Genies are supposed to be from Arab mythology. People might have raged if their was korean genie with no arabic backstory.
Every ancient civilization had a dark past of Slavery. Even Historically this drama was not wrong in showing slavery and killings, if anything they were tame in their descriptionsof barbarity. On the scale of barbaric civilizations my rating would be
Genghis Khan > Assyrians > Islam > ...
Islamic history is rife with sending conquering hordes of fundamentalists to either convert and loot others. They left alive those who forcefully converted , looted wealth and took s*x slaves even i.e. harems. They burned libraries and were chief in destroying paganic persian civilizations from which they descended.
All this is historical fact and even now some(they are a minority) are more fundamentalists than others i.e. terrorists. But not everyone in that part of world is like that like Saudi, UAE, etc.
Finally stop downrating based on factors other than the actual drama. Let's not make other's experience bad and give death threats in comments.

I don't understand why people keep giving bad reviews about it but to be completely honest, the whole story was really beautiful and all of the actors were able to portrait their respective character's roles perfectly with genuine feelings & emotions.
Overall, it was downright beautiful ✨️.

Not the usual Romance K-Drama
I personally didn't have this much fun watching a drama for a long time. It's "kinda" a dark comedy and they really played their cards really well here.I loved both character. Satan aka. Iblis was a mix of goofy & merciless. So weak to his "Master" but he could still ripping out the heart of a living being.
As for Ki Ga Yeong the "Psychopath", while it wasn't really at the character writing level of a "Dexter", they did delivered. Personally I didn't have much expectation. K-Drama & a romance tag with it ? I was sure it would be sugarcoated to the max to make believe she was a true psychopath. But no, they really did stick to her character until the end (again, I expected them to "magically" cure her).
Anyway, if I would nitpick, the editing wasn't exactly to my taste. Sometime scenes just jumped out of nowhere without real link between the previous or next scene. Probably made by choice, but I wasn't fan of it personally.
As for all people "sensitive" about religion and others stuff, don't forget it's made for entertainment and not a documentary that need to be faithful to his original source material. But I'm not really surprised as I watched this drama and see a bunch of reference to religion, I was 100% sure some will take it personally & get offended by it.
I give that a 9.5/10 because like I said, I had a real blast with it but the editing issue didn't make it perfect.

A ROLLERCOASTER RIDE K-DRAMA
Quick VerdictA wildly ambitious fantasy-romance that has strong moments and beautiful visuals, carried by charismatic leads (Kim Woo-bin & Bae Suzy), but marred by tonal whiplash, controversial religious elements, and uneven execution. If you like K-dramas with magic, high stakes, and emotional highs, it’s worth checking out — just go in knowing it isn’t perfect.
What’s Good
Lead Performances & Chemistry
The reunion of Kim Woo-bin and Suzy is one of the biggest draws. Their acting—especially in emotional moments—is very strong. Many viewers feel their scenes together are the high points of the show.
Original & High Concept Premise
A genie (named Iblis) who awakens after a millennium, a woman born without empathy, and the challenge of granting three wishes that test human nature. The idea of exploring human flaws via wishes is intriguing. The mythology, stakes, and fantasy elements set it apart from more typical rom-coms.
Emotional Stakes & Dramatic Moments
There are scenes that hit hard, particularly in the later episodes. The relationship arcs, memories from past lives, loss, and sacrifice give the story emotional weight. Fans report being moved by the ending.
Visually Ambitious and Some Strong Fantasy Elements
The fantasy setting, special effects, and overall visual style have been praised at times. Some settings—especially the more magical or mythic ones—are lush and immersive.
Despite that, many viewers found the ending bittersweet yet satisfying, praising its emotional impact.
⭐ Overall Rating: 9/10
Worth watching for fans of fantasy romance and emotional stories, but expect a few rough edges.
