I was shocked
TBH I was amazed that Sung Hoon suited the role of Seo Do Guk very well, he even matched the Do Guk from the manhwa but I was really shocked that that his step-mother in law is the mistress from the other drama Love ft Marriage and Divorce and also the actor who played his older brother Seo Jeong Uk (Kang Shin Hyo) was actor who replaced him in the third season of Love ft Marriage and Divorce because he couldn't shoot the third season due to clash of shoots from his other drama. The spoiler I want to give that is to watch this drama without giving a 2nd thought coz the chemistry btw the leads are amazing and I loved the fact that Do Guk believed I Ju through out the whole series but sad by the fact that they did not show twins which they had first before their daughter in the manhwa

Honestly perfection
I'm normally not one to say a show is perfection, but I truly I felt this show hit all the sweet spots and did not leave you unsatisfied by the end. It never slowed down and there wasn’t any messy outside stories or drama that left you bored between scenes. There have been so many cliche damsels in need of saving series that I was unsure on watching this one at first. But I am so glad I gave it a chance. I'll keep this as short and sweet as i can, since so many others have probably said the same with this being such a popular drama but I honestly had to write a review of one of my new favorites or I would burst!
While the main focus of this series was more about overcoming traumatic events both main leads went through in childhood and as adults, the love story between the main leads was still very sweet and to watch as they both started to find their sanctuary/home where they could both finally feel at peace with each other was beautiful to watch. They honestly grew together, and the male lead was amazing in how he cared for her. He is the epitome of what a partner should do and be when faced with someone they love who has gone through trauma.
First of all, the women in this series are the POWERHOUSES which I Ioved:
The female lead was nothing short of a woman learning to take control of her own life. Yes the male lead helped her but she was not a wilting flower when she discovered her own strength to fight. She didn't wait around for the male lead to solve all the problems, while yes she did lean on him when she needed to and he did the same, she was at the forefront of unraveling the web of deceit and hate her stepmother wrapped around her family before serving revenge on all of those who hurt them.
The Stepmother and stepsister were the epitome of villains, they did not pull any punches or rely on the men on the side lines to fight for them UNLESS it was part of their plan to use them. The stepmother was honestly amazing since there was zero overarching redemption arc for her, she was evil through and through which made her even better as a character. The step-daughter was more so spoilt than evil but she was still given her just desserts just like her mother.
The in-law women (mother, grandmother, sister, cousin - in -laws) were all strong, take no guff business driven individuals who took matters into their own hands when faced with obstacles. With the matriarch of the family being the grandmother who was the founder of the company, she worked as a carpenter first and grew from there, and never let others define what she could do which you can see mirrored in the the other women of this family who fight tooth and nail to protect those who they deemed family.
While the husbands and the evil brother were key with having the storyline progress, they were less dominant characters compared to the women in most respects. Although the evil brother does play a huge role in the finale, he's in between spoilt brat and evil demon level of the step mom and step sister of the female lead.
All in all I encourage you ALL to watch it so that viki can make more amazing originals like this one.

Sorry.....
There's no strong emotional development between the main leads; the male lead's acting is average; there's no proper explanation about the future (present). If there's time travel, going back to the present is an important element of the story, but without dealing with it, they give a simple ending with the past. This drama is good for K-drama beginners (time travel genre), but after watching many time travel dramas for me, they presented a simple revenge drama with the time travel element.
They had the choice to create a more dynamic relationship between the main leads by using her ex-boyfriend, and they had to create love triangle points too, like one spring night, but did not utilize those elements. It's better to sometimes use a third person to create strong emotional development between the main leads, like One Spring Night. If they use it more, it will become trash.

A good watch for me
I was patiently waiting every weekend for more episodes. There are many things I love about this drama :
- the fact that it’s fast pace.
- there is something happening every episode and satisfying scenes
- love the leads chemistry
- ML’s family (except the brother) is wholesome. She finally found a family to give her the love she deserves, with her mother too.
- I always get spoiled because I love it, but we have some pretty interesting twists
- ML is such a green flag
- Both leads help each other and heal each other. They are each other safe place and home
- I found the revenge pretty satisfying, even if the father should have suffer more maybe. But still, in the end she’s on good terms with her dad and grandpa. That still okay for me.
- FL’s leads « family » and the ex + his family were so crazy and delusional. I was shock at time and it was something to watch. I was kept entertained
- perfect happy ending
- I was laughing so hard at the ex and the « sister » ending and when she showed up. The karma, he wanted her, he got her. Now a life of misery awaits them ahah got what they deserved
- the villain’s acting was so good, they were good at making us hate them
Some minus point :
- FL was kinda weak, got better towards the end
- I would have liked more romance, but since the plot is interesting and the revenge is more the focus, it’s okay. We still got sweets moments.
- I’m sorry, but ML’s wardrobe was hideous. It looked so bad for most of the drama.
Probably one of my favorite drama. I wasn’t bored, no unnecessary scenes and pretty satisfying. It keeps us hooked for more

The best revenge is massive success.
There’s an argument to be made about how Perfect Marriage Revenge had a perfect execution because it was a 12 episodes long drama and didn’t have time for unnecessary conflicts. Everything took its right time and was resolved in a cohesive way with the characters development. Both leads were compelling and had amazing chemistry, but the secondary characters were equally interesting to watch. All the performances outstanding and you can tell the actors are enjoying themselves in their respective roles.
On a story about a woman looking for revenge against her own family, this kdrama had a perfect balance between makjang and romcom. Making it an easy and fun watch. I highly recommend it!

Perfect!
Literally sooo good! I loved it so much. Perfect acting, Perfect Romance, Perfect Revenge! Ahhhh so good! Never a dull moment. So worth the watch!Sung Hoon finally landed himself a perfect role! He did so good. I'm so proud of him haha. Such a great ML. FL did so well too, especially for being a not so seasoned actress. She's so pretty.
I think it's safe to say I loved everything about it and I'll definitely be rewatchung. I love that it's only 12 Episodes, otherwise I feel like it would have dragged, but it was literally perfect:)
Highly recommend 10/10

The Most Green Flag ML In Drama World
I came across this drama from a short video, and I didn't regret watching it. This drama told about Han Yi Joo, whose given a chance one year back after being murdered by her stepmother. This time, she vowed to take a revenge against anyone who harmed her in the past life. To do it, she married Seo Do GukSeo Do Guk, is a really green flag ML. He cared for Yi Joo. Knowing she feared food because of past accident, he tasted all of her food, and he cooked for her. He gave her a bigger room than she had in her parents house, and gave her love she deserved.
This drama is so light, but didn't mean it didn't have any conflict. The conflict solved rather quickly, so we didn't get curious that long. Both leading actor and actresss had a good chemistry. And from this drama, we know that Yi Joo got happiness she deserved in the end.

Must watch!
This was so amazing I loved it so much. To be honest I think the female lead was great, and so was the male lead. Overall beautiful storyline. I rarely like to watch dramas with like family plots and stuff but this was really fun to watch. The male lead was a total sweetheart for the female lead. I liked that the plot wasn’t too hard to understand. I don’t really dislike anything about this show. And the ending was what everyone would hope for a drama.I’m not even joking the ending was one of the best endings possible!

SATISFYING ALL THE WAY THROUGH
I'm usually quite harsh on these types of shows where there is revenge but this show really captures a person's breaking point so well. HYJ had been thrown away by everyone she thought cared about her and when she wakes up a year in the past, she doesn't waste a second and immediately chooses to turn her back on everyone that betrayed her. Her attitude from that point on is just perfect! She doesn't back down and although she still struggles with the anxiety of being around her abusive family, she ultimately chooses herself at every turn.I actually really liked Seo Jung Wooks character portayal. Of course he was a horrible person but his aura and even just the way he speaks reminds me of a classic Disney villain (specifically Shan Yu from Mulan). I think what sets him apart as a character is he's not a psychopath like Lee Jung Hye, he just never learned how to love anything or anyone including himself.
I kind of wish that the sister, Han Yoo Ra, ended up in a ditch somewhere tbh. God she was insufferable. Also no one found out that she's not actually biologically related to her dad. I do like that she ended up having to go back to that simp of a man, Se Hyeok. He deserves her simply for loving her so much he didn't care about hurting Yi Joo in the process.
All in all, I think this drama did a fantastic job of presenting a satisfying revenge plot. 10/10

An absolute must watch!
Yes, yes and yes. This has been one of the most addictive dramas I have watched. I was reluctant because I’m not a fan of revenge dramas but I’m glad I watched it, because it was so much more than that. There was romance, drama, revenge, karma and so many yes, yes moments. I have no regrets watching this. I honestly rewatched it while waiting on the last episodes. It was that good. What I enjoyed most was the concept in general which was second chances or a redo, it coincides with the saying “If you knew then what you know now, what would you do?” The series is the epitome of, Show me what you’d do. And boy did she!!
My favorite elements were present: quick karma, chemistry, action, romance, strong and smart leads and the happy ending.

Uma das jóias desse ano! Espetacular.
Simplesmente espetacular. Was this review helpful to you?
