What is the benefit of working so hard?

This is the question Mi-Jin asks herself when she fails the civil service examination again. In her last ten years, she did nothing other than study for it. But all she got in return was to hear that she is in her thirties now, without any experience, so getting a job is difficult. Her best friend Chon Hui is her only confidante. Her never-ending plight takes an unprecedented turn when she finds herself in the body of a fifty-year-old woman every morning and only returns to her true self at night. In between a serial killer is on the loose.

Helmed by Strong Girl Bong Soon director Lee Hyung Min, the story is a perfect blend of romantic comedy with a big dose of horror. Mi Jin is strong and has an effervescent attitude. Even in the darkest hour of her life, she chose to live. This is where director Lee plays his cards. He never makes the story monotonous and cold. In the process of looking for the serial killer, Prosecutor Gyu and Mi Jin form a bond and even find solace in each other. The journey of love is not cliche but resonates with the life of this genre. The mother of Mi Jin resembles Bong Soon- she wants to see her daughter settled and is unaware of her true condition. They are sweet but self-centric. A supportive yet spineless father and an unannounced second lead in the form of idol Jo Won make the tale intricate and intriguing.

Reply 1997 girl Eun Ji is brilliant as the night girl Mi Jin. Her banter with her friend, feeling attracted to the charming prosecutor - the girl brings out all effortlessly as always. Lee Jin Eun as fifty-year-old Lim Sun- the alternate identity of Mi Jin is the twist of the tale. The woman who mostly dons the character of a helpless mother has brought out the invisible kitty from her bag. Her enactment of the twenty-eight-year-old in body of fifty is hilarious and melancholic. Jin Hyuk as prosecutor Gye is remarkable. The man is one of the versatile actors in the Korean drama case. He knows what he is doing. He is effortlessly hot and equally cold - which is needed for this dark role. The supporting cast adds humor mostly, but Byung Hee Ajushhi is the cherry on top.

Conclusion

Korean drama directors always do brilliant in bringing out supernatural stories. This Miss Day and Night is no different again. A fantasy element packed in delving into solving a cold crime case is not just magnificent but more than that.

Nice at first, but the story seems getting different

I was excited to watch the drama since it was fun watching clips in tiktok. Yet as the episodes go by, it's getting boring. I felt like Lim Sun and Lee Mi Jin has different personalities or different person. I felt like when Mi Jin appears, Lim Sun seems gone, like they act like different person when they supposed to be somewhat act like a same person.
Also kinda shock who really is the kill*r, yet I felt like it doesn't make any sense of her to kill someone. How she could kill that disable senior. They didn't give a reason why. How a person with experience of killing 4 people can be easily defeated, also how Mi Jin just left him hanging. How he wanted her. Kinda also weird how he couldn't sense that Lim Sun is Mi Jin and took years to know.
Also I couldn't understand why, how did she change and how did she change back completely. Also kinda annoyed how they didn't give more screen time of Mi Jin and Ji Ung dating. I'm still annoyed. But the cat seems like added without any reason who really it is, but the cat is cute, the pouch looks like going to touch the ground while walking.

you have to be patient

I'm at episode 14 and want to admit that it took me a while to keep watching, mainly because I had nothing else to watch. The beginning felt slow and didn't capture my interest. However, once the two main characters finally started interacting, I began to enjoy it more. Their chemistry brought some much-needed life to the series.That being said, I feel that the main story started very late, and as a viewer, connecting with the two main female characters wasn't easy. Their development felt lacking early on, making it hard to engage with their journeys. It's a shame because the potential was there, but it took too long to unfold.

Fun to watch though some parts could have been better

I loved the idea of a middle aged lady getting a job and being appreciated for the same skills that the younger lady was not. It showcases how society is not utilising the huge potential of the younger generation.
The crime angle , the various crimes that links to it, is also interesting and gives a freshness to the story.

The female leads ability to handle all her jobs well is also fun. But that is the only thing that i cam say has been good about this whole thing.


The actors all are awesome, but the female leads script makes me upset.

For a person who supposedly attempted the civil services for so many years, how could she be so dumb, with no common sense at certain parts of the story.

And some parts dont even feel funny anymore. That I almost feel sorry for the female actors for having to act out the scene. Its not even slapstick comedy more of a cringe comedy.


Edit : I have reached episode 7 and am wondering if its worth my time. I tried to fast forward the embarassing storyline but still am on the precipice of deciding to take the leap or not. To drop or not.

The first, was getting scammed and on top of that giving her bank book

I get that the car was supposed to almost hit her , but that doesnt mean she had to stand on the middle of the road while checking some papers that were not even hers.
And the male lead just had to keep screaming her name so that the killer can record her name in his memory. Ughhh.
Also mentioning that since she stays nearby and she knows every tree and rock in the place that she has nothing to fear going out at night and this same lady seems to forget that her aunt is still missing.

Thirdly,
The male lead gave her safety tools for defense and ahe was like , why dont I just call the police instead. Is she living in a dream world, where the killer is gonna wait until she is able to call the police.

So stupid

Also the scene where the friend receives gifts from the singer as a Thank you.
She kept the door open with the so called manager who didnt even give her his card, while she checked on the gift outside her window.
She is lucky that guy was actually a manager and not some stalker.

And then the fourth episode, why in the world would she volunteer to get into the club even while knowing she was gonna change into her younger self at night.

And also going in and patting a guys body to check for patches lol. Trying to make it obvious. How in the world sis the FL ever think she would get hired in a responsible job.

Plus the older Fl , keeps dancing while mopping or even the simplest of jobs, while the younger Fl never seems to dance.
I mean if I get a job that I really wanted , on the first day, would I put music and start dancing in the corridor where prosecutors work.

I mean one minute she is a superwoman able to type stacks of papers and do coding , with enough knowledge on computer skills. The next minute she is a helpless pup who cant even cross the road without someones help.
The Female leads - both the younger one and the older one are awesome . But somehow the lines given to them is just sad.

I can use fantasy as an excuse but too much stupidity is impossible for me to excuse.i mean there were other parts of the story that had inconsistencies but these were the worst.

I will get back on episode 5 and hopefully there wont be any further frustrations coz I really like the actors, the leads and even the story line. It is quite fun.


But please stop making the Fls so clumsy and ignorant of this world. I cant even think of it as innocence but plain ignorance.

Lee Mi Jin é uma jovem esforçada que após ser reprovada mais um vez no concurso público e sofrer um golpe financeiro, acaba encontrando um gato misterioso e no dia seguinte acorda como uma senhora de meia idade. Após tentar sem sucesso quebrar a maldição, ela decide usar sua aparência madura para se candidatar a uma vaga de estagiária sênior no fórum de sua cidade. Por conta de um ato de heroísmo ela acaba sendo promovida para trabalhar como escriturária para o promotor Gye Ji Ung, o homem que havia ajudado sua versão jovem na questão do golpe.

O promotor e Lee Min Jin também compartilham um passado trágico, sua mãe e tia, respectivamente, desapareceram vinte anos antes e agora o promotor tem a oportunidade de encontrar o responsável quando novas vítimas surgem indicando que o culpado está agindo novamente. E de alguma forma a "maldição" de Lee Mi Jin está relacionado ao caso dos desaparecimentos.

Normalmente eu tenho muitas ressalvas com dramas de romance com plot de mistério, pois parece que não é mais possível fazer um bom romance sem mistério, mas nesse caso eu até gostei. Gostei da dinâmica do casal investigando o culpado. Na verdade, gostei mais da versão de meia idade da Lee Mi Jin, a senhora Lee Sun. Lee Jung Eun arrasou muito no papel. Ela estava muito engraçada no papel e no final quando a "maldição" acaba fiquei até triste. Embora obviamente quisesse que a Lee Mi Jin jovem ficasse com o promotor, foi triste pensar que Lee Sun desapareceu definitivamente.

É um drama que nos tira umas boas gargalhadas. Além da senhora Lee Sun, o investigador Byeong Deok foi um ótimo alívio cômico. As cenas onde ele achava que a senhora Sun estava tendo um caso com o Ko Won foram hilárias. Enfim, é um drama divertido de acompanhar e termina com final feliz.

Um drama clássico e atemporal

Este é um exemplo de drama clássico atemporal. Apesar de lançado em 2024, poderia ser confundido com um kdrama de 2010 ou ser um dorama ainda por vir. É uma obra que soube renovar aquilo comumente conhecido na fórmula de um drama coreano, mantendo a familiaridade. Essa nova roupagem permitiu um desenvolvimento leve e divertido sobre temas sensíveis como amadurecimento, morte, luto, envelhecimento e sobre as demais perdas irreparáveis da vida. A escolha por uma protagonista de idade mais avançada foi um enorme acerto, a senhora Lim Sun é a alma desse drama. Ela está envolvida em grande parte das situações engraçadas. Assistir após o lançamento, quando a obra está completa, foi uma ótima escolha. Eu não acredito que o romance seja a parte central das discussões e acontecimentos desse drama. Quando o romance é o centro, parece ser mais para contar uma história sobre se apaixonar, se permitir amar e ser amado do que acompanhar um relacionamento se consolidar. Dessa vez, eu não senti falta de maiores cenas entre o casal. A história de Lim Sun e Mi-Jin foi o suficiente para me deixar entretida e entusiasmada. Eu achei esse drama uma pérola perdida. Finalmente, um dorama com a essência de dorama!

Un concept risqué, un résultat réussi !

J’ai vraiment passé un bon moment devant "Miss Night and Day", un drama qui réussit à être original sans partir dans le grand n’importe quoi 🙈. Le spitch de base (une jeune femme qui se transforme en femme d'âge mûr le jour) aurait pu tourner au sketch, mais franchement, je trouve que ça fonctionne super bien 😍 !!!

Im Sun est un véritable coup de cœur pour moi dans ce rôle si unique. Elle incarne la version mature de la FL avec une justesse folle, elle est à la fois touchante, drôle et hyper naturelle 👍🏻. J’ai trouvé que ce duo entre elle et Lee Jung-eun (= sa version jeune) formait un combo inattendu mais vraiment sympathique !!! Leur alchimie etait bien présente lors des scènes et je trouve que ça apportait beaucoup de tendresse au drama 💛

Côté romance, c’est bien dosé, jamais envahissant, et tout en douceur 🥰. J’ai trouvé que les leads s’en sortaient très bien, sans surjouer, sans tomber dans le cliché. C’est mignon, sincère, et ça laisse place à autre chose... comme leur évolution personnelle et l’enquête secondaire qui ajoute pas mal de peps au tout 🔍💼👌🏻

J’ai vraiment apprécié cette touche de suspense, je trouve que ça crée une dynamique agréable qui casse la routine et relance l’intérêt au bon moment 👍🏻. Le drama aborde aussi des thèmes comme la précarité de l’emploi, les rêves mis en pause, et cette pression de "réussir vite" dans un monde qui ne laisse pas toujours sa chance aux plus sincères… Vous avez compris, ça m’a touchée 😔💬

En bref, c’est une belle surprise que je recommande sans hésiter. Si vous cherchez un drama à la fois léger, attendrissant et un peu original, Let's go !! Perso, ll m’a laissée avec le sourire et quelques papillons dans le ventre 🦋✌🏻

Estava na vibe de algo leve e descontraído e de repente minha irmã me chamou pra acompanhar esse drama com ela.

Preciso dizer, que foi uma boa pedida, porque Miss Night and Day me convenceu desde o primeiro episódio porque tem um tipo de comédia que me agradou, apesar de ser bem clichê em alguns momentos.

Destaco, por exemplo, como momento clichê: os inúmeros salvamentos de desequilíbrio do protagonista em relação a mocinha. Tinha tempo que não via tantas cenas de desequilíbrio em tão poucos episódios.

Tem um certo elemento fantástico no drama envolvendo um gatinho, e confesso que achei as cenas em que ele aparece bem fakes.

Ainda sobre essa questão, nossa protagonista depois de ficar bêbada se envolve com esse gato e acaba expressando um desejo um tanto pessimista em relação a si mesma e a sua vida. Ela estava passando por um momento péssimo e se deixou levar.

Isso me fez refletir sobre o cuidado que temos que ter com o que desejamos, palavras tem poder, e muitas vezes podemos virar reféns de nossos próprios desejos, sentimentos pessimistas ou pensamentos desastrosos.

Não sei se realmente a trama teve intenção de nos gerar uma certa reflexão a esse respeito. Fica a indagação. Mas talvez eu esteja muito reflexiva ultimamente.

Mas voltando ao assunto, gostei bastante dos personagens em geral e estou curiosa para ver o desenvolvimento de cada um.

Os protagonistas se conheceram em uma situação constrangedora onde a mocinha cai em um golpe ao tentar dar "um jeitinho" para conseguir emprego .

Alguns crimes graves foram cometidos na vila onde a protagonista mora, e o promotor pediu transferência para este lugar justamente para investigar isso.

Além disso, tem toda uma aura de mistério relacionada ao desaparecimento da tia da protagonista.

Confesso que não li a sinopse antes de assistir o drama, então realmente não esperava pelo "Q" de mistério que o drama tem. Mas achei excelente isso, já que foge um pouco daquela coisa batida das comédias românticas em geral.

O drama em si tem tudo pra ser um ótimo entretenimento, e tenho me mantido bastante interessada e ansiosa pelo próximo episodio. O que por si só já é um grande feito.

Então sim, super indico que você dê uma chance para a história.
