I made it through EVERY episode LOL
Well I am not sure where to start to be honest.Story line would have been ok, except i have a pet peeve with 1 ex showing up much less everyones ex's (still dont know the point of Pat's ex showing up with the exception of the asst secretary issue) I found the story did not fit the actors very much at all or maybe it was the nonexistent chemistry.
The NC and kissing scenes were BRUTAL especially with the main couple. Like come on, your an actor and im sure you went through kissing lessons or have done it in real life, but that was just sad.
The 2nd lead couple i wish they had more screen time (at least their kissing was halfway decent)
Most BL's i would watch again but unfortunately this one is a hard NO just because of the reasons above. (I think the show would have been better with different main leads)

Bad Guy My Boss — When a Strong Novel Becomes a Weak Adaptation
Bad Guy My Boss is one of those dramas where the concept sounds much better than the final result. The story itself isn’t terrible. A powerful CEO and his loyal secretary, secret feelings hidden behind workplace hierarchy, jealousy, and emotional tension — all the ingredients for a compelling BL are there. But in the drama, those ingredients never come together in a convincing way.The biggest problem is the chemistry between the leads. James Hayward Prescott and Kad Ploysupa relationship rarely feels believable. Instead of watching two men slowly realize their feelings for each other, many scenes feel like two actors trying to imagine what that attraction should look like. The romantic moments are present, but the emotional connection behind them is weak. I appreciate the physical intimacy, but the steamy scenes couldn’t compensate the lack of a strong narrative, and it becomes more noticeable as the story progresses. What begins as an interesting workplace dynamic eventually turns repetitive and monotonous, with very little real character growth. The relationship development often feels pushed forward by external plot events rather than by genuine emotional change between the characters. The supporting cast adds some visual interest, especially Zax Nattapat, who easily attracts attention whenever he appears. He has a natural screen presence and the kind of charisma that could easily carry a BL drama as a main lead. Seeing him in a more mature or emotionally complex role in the future would honestly be interesting.
The adaptation also struggles because the original novel handles the relationship much better. In the source material, the emotional tension and connection between the characters are stronger and more believable. The drama simplifies many of those elements, which makes the romance feel rushed and less impactful.
Final thought
Bad Guy My Boss isn’t completely unwatchable, but it feels like a missed opportunity. The premise had potential, the novel proves that the story works, and the cast certainly looks the part. Unfortunately, the emotional connection that should carry the entire drama never truly appears. And in a BL story, when the audience doesn’t believe the love, everything else starts to fall apart.

A lot of potential never dared to use
The show had potential and it wasn´t used. A pitty.The Bad Guy his Boss stayed "monochrome" and did not develop from Ep 1 to 12. The Mafia guy and his lover looked a bit like we need to have them. The friend with benefits ... the most attrctive is the cast, in my opinion (everybody has his own taste). The 3ed couple disintegrated when the lover was forced to be criminal and failed ... And his lover made the "irrational move". Btw. the fighting scenes ... there cpould be improvement to make them better than a shitty dance.
For the subs ... don´t they control what they write? I know it´s hard to do and get it done quick. But Mr. Elyse writing as Alice so often, and then so often the wrong tense. I am not a native English speaker, but such was hammered into us when in school. While reading you stumble over and get lost, or near to. It´s allready stressing enough to read the subs an follow the show.
The storyline of the show lacked from the 1st moment on and never improved. This triggered me for an own story to write about an abusive CEO/manager. I am a writer who´s 1st book will be published end of March 2025. A seroies, spanning from 18th to 21st century a 4 gay main leeds deciding for the family businees at important turning points. Mixed with gay love.
Anyhow this story lacks a lot and looks more like something hasty glued together to make investors happy a take a share in the BL market.
I watched till the end, despite all of my complains ... as it got me inspired, but not for the good work done here. In the end the show way a puddle of max 1mm depth max.

DO NOT START THIS TRAIN WRECK
Much like a lot of massively destructive train wrecks, you can’t look away from this series because you want Pat to survive Mr. Elyse.This has the potential to be hot and sexy from the trailer that brought us all here. But the actors are so bad in delivering the lines with any authenticity. The acting part was not as bad as the line delivery but it isn’t good either. This Pat at least didn’t have the constipated look of the other Pat from the Thai office BL that came out last year. Luckily I forget the name of that series. With any luck I will forget this one too.
This Pat had as much sex appeal as the other Pat. Mr. Elyse has a nice body and the clothes look good on him. I can’t say that his face matches the same sex appeal as his body but this is subjective. Anyway, Mr Elyse is the reddest flag of a boss and Pat either loves red or is colorblind. Or maybe he lives Mr. Elyse’s sexy body just as much as me. That’s why he’s over looking this STD magnet with his rotation of bed friends.
I don’t see why Pat fell for him as he’s a total POS in terms of how he treats Pat as an employee not to mention being his madame for the gigolos. Pat is definitely has a masochist kink to want to sex up Mr. Elyse. I wish it was a SM BL because I would like to see 50 shades of dirty with Mr. Elyse and Pat. But unfortunately they make this just a vanilla virgin who likes a toxic red flag.
I am bailing at this point because I am halfway through a 10 episode series and I don’t care if Pat survives or not from this train wreck. But if you like train wrecks and have time to kill. Enjoy.

just read the book
The book was much better than the show, because Pat and Elis's storyline had minimal drama—mainly just Pat running away to the beach when his feelings for his boss became overwhelming, knowing they wouldn't be reciprocated. The book's only other dramatic element was the Fei Long and Run kidnapping subplot that they later on added on into the show (I mean til like the very end). While the special episode somewhat made up for it, what we really wanted was a sweet office romance between the two, not unnecessary drama.Was this review helpful to you?

It is worth A Watch
I always come to MDL for review before I watch a show and for the majority the people doing the reviews are on point. I have skipped shows because you guys said it sucked. But on this one I am sorry I have to disagree with the low ratings. No, it is not the greatest show or even a show that is worth a rewatch ( unlessyou are absolutely bored) but it is worth a watch.From my point:
Story: Elise is a boss who I think his ego ( not his heart) got hurt when the man he was dating, Run, cheated on him. So, he stepped into a friend with benefits relationship with Khim. Then he meets Pat, who stirred his heart and brought out his true feelings of love but he is scared of putting his heart out to Pat because he dont know what to expect from Pat ( who is madly in love with him). He know what to expect from Khim ( comfort and a booty call) and from Run ( got cheated on). So when Pat told him he like him he became overly protected ( jealous and annoying) but still reserved because he stopped sleeping with Khim but used him for comfort, which Khim allows because he is also in love with Elise.
Pat on the other hand is a man who is in 5une with his feelings and self worth but is also a mon who is madly in ove with Elise and knows only what he sees the relationship is with Elise and Khim, so when Elise give him an opening he steps in and bears his heart and when Khim comes around he step back because he feels that's what Elise wants and he wants to be happy for him.
What makes Elise the bad guy is, he knows he love Pat, and Pat loves him but because of his ego he shows him instead of telling him which confuses and hurt Pat. Elise's actions are confusing especially when he hangs out with Khim (just eating and drinking) and Pat dont know what they are doing and Elise does not clarify, until he almost lost Pat.
The overall story is typical and the other characters are people who just don't understand the word "No".
But the show is an ok watch, they are worst.

A great storyline ruined by actors
Okay so I have never ever felt someone's acting was bad... But this show just broke that streak of mine oh my god both Elyes and Pat their acting is literally the worst.They are the perfect example for "Not every good looking person can be an actor 😔" I liked the plot so I tried watching it convincing myself that it will get better but I just can't go forward after 9th episode because of the bad acting by both the leads it's really hectic to watch after that..
In short they ruined a great bl with bad casting just my opinion

First review cause of slander
I honestly almost didn't watch this one for the slander. Did some of the low reviews even watch the same drama? I mean sure Elyes was a promiscuous at the beginning, but he is single? So? Neither of the Main Leads fell for each other at the beginning. It took at the least 3 years for both of them. Elyes was only promiscuous cause of a broken heart but even if he wasn't I don't begrudge people that live that lifestyle as long as they are honest with their partners and aren't leading anyone on, and my man was clear with everyone, bluntly so. They were FWB's. The only questionable behavior from Elyes imo is when he finally realize his feelings and in his jealousy/ or wanting get a rise out of Pat, rubbed his nightlife if in front of Pat's face.BUT after he actually did the deed with Pat he stop everyone else cold turkey. So he never cheated on Pat even though technically they weren't even together. Everything was slow and consensual too.
Now can I complain about Elyes close mouth with his feelings, sure. He could explain things that could be misunderstood more to Pat.
Could Pat be a little more firm in his decisions or not jump to conclusions so quickly. Also sure.
They aren't perfect people which makes them human. They don't see the whole story like we do, so honestly a lot of the decisions they made, made sense even if it's imperfect.
This was a well written and pretty well paced drama. Is it the best drama ever? No. But it's very solid. Lots of sweet and endearing moments led by both main leads. I enjoyed the banter and flirting.
Rewatch value is a little lower cause the plot was just okay. So it's one of those if I have nothing else to watch I might rewatch again once every other year or so. But I could rewatch it and still enjoy it.

only for those who are really bored
For some reason, the filming technique is not easy on my eyes, maybe the filters they applied are weird. Usually i wouldnt be bothered by this, but there is little to zero action on the screen so my mind keeps rambling. I've been watching so far just for the handsome ML, but theres nothing beside that... A lot of staring, a lot of going around in circles, annoying flashbacks, unwitty bickering, and no illusion of life - everything is the definition of fake.Looking for something better.

The acting is horrible. The music is as disappointing as it is in most BLs, if not more so. The story is nothing special. It is like all the other mostly subpar Thai BLs out there. The dialogues are nothing special either. Overall, the drama is disappointing and overrated. Perfect series!!! Great script, great actors and good music. Waiting frantically from episode to episode. Highly recommended!!!The story is constantly moving forward... in my opinion it is never boring for a moment and there is always something new that is discovered and much that has not yet been discovered. Very intriguing!!!
The main couple are stunning together!! The chemistry between them drives the viewers crazy!!! You see that Alice loves Pat very much, but is stuck in his trauma from the relationship he had with Run... and this is expressed in a lack of communication between the two.
In addition to that, I really liked that the story got more and more intriguing!!! I like that unlike other series, in this series the secondary characters are not frozen and banal but actually take part in the mysterious story.
Highly recommended!!!!
