Rise from the Ashes

If you want a really great revenge story for a second chance life, check out Rise from the Ashes!!! It has a clever plot much better than The Double, and while a miniseries of 10-minute episodes it is done in a superb way with brilliant script, really good characters as written and acted and the heroine there is a thorough kick ass!

Both are -
1. Chinese mini historical revenge thriller & romance with enjoyable chemistry
2. ML pretends to be a family member of the villain

Both FLs are betrayed and die tragically, only to be reborn a short time in the past and try to change their future fate. Both are mini dramas.

Both are historical mini dramas in which the FL is murdered by her husband/the man she loves, and she is then reborn. She allies herself from a man in order to get revenge, and the two fall in love along the way.

Both FLs fall in love with a man who betrays them and causes their death in a fire. The FLs then find themselves back in time and resolve to change their fate, which leads to them growing close to the kind ML.

The stories are quite different but I just couldn't help but think of RftA while watching FJ. Main differences are: FJ tis about royalty and takes place in the palace. RftA is mostly revenge focused.

revenge story in both cases but RftA has a FL that managed to be a likable one whereas in The Lady Commander I understood the anger of the FL, but could not find her methods kosher

The plot is quite same in both series FL is back to life from hellish fire. But in revel princess she wakes up in other person's body.
As far as the intensity of emotions is considered Rise from the ashes was better,the FL lead actually turned grey ? and she was more ruthless considering she is back from the death. I missed it in the revel princess plot.
