I loved this show. Easily a 9/10.
Everything about this show felt fresh and creative. From the sets to the characters, to the editing. Fitting for a show set in the world of production.Like other's have said, this wasn't a BL-- and if I was to rate it solely on that it would be lacking-- but I don't rate shows that way. A good show, should be a good show all around, no matter what genre it is. Do I wish there was more JaneRyan? OF COURSE.
These two characters are some of OffGun's best. Gun, like always, became Ryan. His micro expressions are always so captivating to me. He's so interesting to watch. Jane is my favorite character that I've seen Off do. He is just such an attractive character, and so nice to look at. I would have watched a show solely based on those two, and would have been beyond happy.
But-- despite JaneRyan being the heart of this show-- this show was in reality the story of 5 trainee's (and their mentor Jane) and their journey from inexperienced bumbling kids, to adults who found their path in life.
Although there are parts of this show that felt annoying to watch (Yes, I'm talking about the trio), the story lines usually felt relatable and the conclusions satisfying or at the very least understandable. All the actors in this show did a great job because they had me reacting appropriately 24.7. I felt annoyed, angry, happy, empathetic, and all the emotions possible.
This is going to sound weird but-- It was a pleasure watching these kids grow up.

The series itself!
I love OFFGUN so much like they f*cking NAILED IT! You know what I mean?!? And the casts?!? It's PERFECT AHHHHHHHHHHHHH! I was an intern in a production house too. I applied as a AE intern just like Bah-mee. It's really amazing how I can relate to the story. Especially when I realized that I wasn't really fit for the AE role, at the end of the day I got more comfortable working under assistant director like Jane and BELIEVED ME, it wasn't that easy just like what happened to Jane in episode 2. I really enjoyed it so much that I want to burst out screaming! THE CASTS IS PERFECT, RYAN IS SO CUTE THAT I WANT TO HIDE HIM TO MY POCKET, JANE IS TOO HANDSOME THAT I CAN SURELY FAINT ANYTIME, TAE IS ALSO CUTE HUHU, BAH-MEE HAS A GREAT SENSE OF FASHION, PAH IS BUBBLY AND SWEET AT THE SAME TIME (I suddenly remembered his character as Pun in We are the series), PIE IS TOO PRETTY AND SHE REALLY MATCHES JANE'S SERIOUSNESS AND LASTLY JUDY, THE QUEEN THAT YOU ARE! YOU SLAYED! OF COURSE I WONT FORGET P'BAIMON FOR BEING THE REASON WHY RYAN GOT ACCEPTED AND P'JO WHO HELPED RYAN TO CALL THE PRINTER REPAIR MAN HUHUHHUHUHU 😭 THIS IS THE BEST SERIES OF THE YEAR HAHAJWKEJSJWHWJHWHE I'LL LOOK FORWARD FOR THE NEXT EPISODE! THEY ALL SLAYED RAWRWas this review helpful to you?
I’m in love with this show!!
this show is a breath of fresh air, good plot with good team of actors leading it. offgun’s chemistry still shines!what I like most is how gun’s emotions feel so real and how off’s character is a bit tough but is probably an ideal mentor for gun’s character to have. aside from those two, I’m happy to see Sea looking cute with fluffy hair and those glasses. this show is shaping up to be one of my top 5 dramas of the year. easy to watch, easy to enjoy, & will stick w/ you long after it’s done.

The trainee
#TheTrainee What I like most is that the plot is very close to life, and the rhythm is not procrastinating.Thecomedy effect is full, the music is good, the lighting effect is very advanced, and the artistry is excellent. The cast is amazing and Gun Atthaphan shines as always he's the most talented actor in gmmtv in my opinion. I can't wait to watch the other episodes, I'm sure it won't disappoint me!Looking forward to the performance of off jumpol and gun-atthaphan in the following plot. I'm looking forward to it.

Relatable, but room for improvement.
'The Trainee' takes place in an office setting with an ensemble cast featuring BL elements, meaning that it's not quite BL, and the BL romance is turned down, which was fine by me. Every character is seen and heard - some a little too much - although the series is supposed to focus on its main protagonist, Ryan. There are two mentors, Jane and Judy - this brings back memories of 'The Jetsons'. If you know, you know - and throughout the series, their actions parallel their behavior when it comes to their trainee. Judy is like the walking manual for 'How Not to Pursue a Workplace Relationship' whilst Jane is the opposite... until the last episode!
The acting from everyone was top-notch, the OST is chef's kiss, and the setting is cinematically beautiful. What failed in the end was the writing. I believe the writing could've been stronger in many areas. Overall, I like the series, and despite its many flaws that I wish I could fix, it's the best series I've seen this year from GMMTV production-wise. I've watched every episode more than three times and it could've easily been a solid 10, but I had to take away two points for the lackluster writing at times and the useless triangle that went nowhere.
Watch if:
^ You like/love the cast
^ You like/love OffGun
^ You like an office setting
^ You're interested in what Off's hot boss era looks like
^ You don't care for the BL or the commercialized GL
^ You're a trainee or a mentor
^ You're into filmmaking
^ You just want to try something new.

OffGun show promised but Drama (Non BL) show delivered
Okay here is the thing. This is my first Review for a new Series . I really liked the series since I have watched many old Series of OffGun. These two can slay any role they given. but was it a BL? the answer is between no and maybe. This is not a typical Thai BL which I am glad. The address various topics of entertainment industry, youth confusions regarding careers and sexuality, Second chances in life. All actors were really greatWhat I not liked-
1. A silly person who doesn't know how to turn off the phone?
2. Too many added subplots which could have been cut
3. very little OffGun moments

What do we have here? Oh, that’s right, MY PARENTS’ SERIES. ?
I swear, OffGun could breathe, and I’d be out here screaming, “YASSSS, SLAY, SERVE, DELIVER.” They are *everything*, okay? If you’ve been riding with them since their first series, you KNOW they never miss. People were whining about *Cooking Crush* (I still don’t understand why, btw), and now some of y’all have beef with this series because it’s “coming of age” and not *fully BL*? Excuse me, WHATCHU MEAN? They kissed! In my book, that’s BL enough. Stop complaining and enjoy greatness. Now, let’s talk about Ryan. OH, GUN, YOU LITTLE KING OF COMEDY. He *eats* these roles up and leaves no crumbs. Ryan is such a relatable mess—clueless, chaotic, slow as a dial-up modem. Honestly, he’s giving “me during my intern phase,” and I’m not even mad about it. His energy is a big mood.
And Khun Po? Off ATE. He’s the grumpy mentor we all love to hate because, deep down, we know he’s just trying to make you better while simultaneously making you cry in the bathroom. The dynamic between Ryan and Jane was *chef’s kiss*—progression, tension, and those “OH MY GOD, THEY’RE GONNA GET CAUGHT” moments that had me gripping my pillow. The comedy? Hilarious. The suspense? So good. My only beef is that they focused so much on the work drama that the romance was like, “Hello? Still here?” But the ending? CUTE. Just wish we had more ~swoony~ moments.
Now, let’s talk about the SIDE PAIRING. SEA. BEING. STRAIGHT. *Nightmare fuel.* Why, WHY did they have to put Tae back with Bahmee? Like, Bahmee is cute and all, but y’all could’ve had her end up with Judy and then hit us with a Jimmy cameo at the end to hint he likes Tae. The potential for DRAMA, HELLO??? But noooo, y’all just HAD to take the boring route. Tragic.
And Poon? THAT MAN IS CHAOS INCARNATE. Every time he showed up, I couldn’t stop laughing. He’s the *perfect* goofy relief. But listen, if you haven’t seen him in *Terror Tuesday*, you’re missing out because that man can ACT. From comedy king to horror legend, he does it all. We stan versatility.
Overall? The plot was good—just a few tweaks here and there that could’ve elevated it to iconic status. But listen, I’m *biased*, and I’m not even sorry about it. OffGun are my faves, and they’ll stay my faves. You can keep your opinions; I’m out here thriving. Bye. 😂

This series is somewhat insightful and informative
I feel like there's so much information and cool insights about the media industry especially what happens behind the scenes of a production, which is something I really like about this series.I'll never doubt OffGun's chemistry but one thing I'm really confused about is how Gun's character, Ryan, feels very "stone" like? if you get what I mean and Ryan's reactions are very slow or maybe that's just how the character is supposed to be portrayed?

Gave me Hope, Made me Laugh, Great Comfort Show.
I loved everything about this. The office theme isn't always my cup of tea but this show made me love it. Every character had their own life and personality. The Acting fit the story and the characters and overall it was a light watch that made me feel good. I really laughed out loud or had to grin into my hand because I was watching this until deep into the night and didn't want to disturb my neighbours. Also, when I say this gave me hope, I mean it.
Give this a chance and don't only watch it for the romance only, but also for the found family workplace friendgroup!
I will come back to this show again whenever I want a laugh or to feel warm and included.
Lastly I also want to add, this story ist not about "offgun" but about Ryan, Jane, Tae, Ba-Mee, Pah, Pie, Judy and everyone else. Every character has dreams and hopes and If I am honest I would have loved if this Office Drama had continued a lot longer.

A MUST WATCH!! HILARIOUS, SLICE OF LIFE
Listen, I finished this about two or three months ago.... I have been STRUGGLING to find something as good as this one. It is so rare to find a drama that just makes you feel so... content? so comfortable? it is hard to even describe. The vibes are just IMMACULATE in this drama, I love the hilarious scenes, the awkwardness, the budding romance.Could some plot points have been done better? Of course.
But the acting and actors efforts are clear and I truly love this drama!!!!
Great drama, especially for those who are in university/graduated and know what it feels like to be interns!

Should watch
"I absolutely love how beautifully this series ended. As a huge fan of OffGun, their chemistry is so effortless and smooth—they're truly made for each other. Not just the main leads, but the supporting cast also did an outstanding job. Every character draws you in, and the way the story progresses and concludes is both beautiful and seamless. This series will make you fall in love with each moment!"Was this review helpful to you?

Enjoyable and easy to watch, but with a few issues
Hopefully this doesn't need spoiler tags, but you may want to read this after watching the last episode.I really enjoyed the whole cast in this series, they did a great job. The characters were also very fun and easy to watch.
The story itself was interesting enough, and I would call it unique. No engineers, no guys in high school, etc. I think the story needed a bit more development, or maybe they needed more episodes to fill in some blanks. I think that having so many characters and couples in so few episodes made things feel rushed or incomplete at times and is the root of the issues this series has.
In the last episode, it seemed so hurried and chaotic after the 11th episode where the interns graduated from the production company, then suddenly they are mentors/adults. There was no arc to the story between those two points.
OffGun (Ryan and Jane) seem more like a side couple here, I would call this series an ensemble cast. I think it should have been billed that way, but I get why GMM use the big name stars to draw attention to a series. I also am not sure I would call this a BL, or even a Ryan and Jane romance, I don't think it ever gets to that level. I think Ryan and Jane characters are more of a bromance or crush or something like that. This is total speculation, but maybe Off or Gun are tired of being in BL series and want to tone it down a bit? Not sure, but they barely did more than hold hands throughout the series.
That ending was... unfulfilling. I am not sure what else I can say about it that sums it up for me. OffGun needed more closure here, unless we are getting a second season where they explore their relationship further. I guess I don't hate the time skip as much as some others here, but it was unnecessary and lazy. It was like they had "X" hours to film, and once we hit that "wrap it up" and onto the next series.
I get that some couples would stay together through something like this time skip, but Ryan and Jane had only agreed to date before this, I don't think they had even had an official date yet. I am not sure how deep of a couple bond they would have before Jane left, or how likely it would be they would wait for each other for this long.
Overall it was good, but there were a few things I think they could have changed to make it go from an OK but forgettable series to a great one that would make it onto a "Best Of" list.
