This show is one of the best BL this year!
Sincerely talking this show have 3 episodes out till now and considering that it's just getting better and better like the graphics are eyes satisfying the music is on point in every scene even the opening is good the story is so relatable and help you to overcome your stressed if you're an intern right now(like me)every characters are well portrayed and none are leaved aside OffGun's chemistry is so amazing like just their eyes meeting make you feel the tension and butterflies in your stomach💘Okay now in the series so far Jane at first seems to be a bad and fierce mentor who don't care about his interns but with the episodes going on you can see that he's actually a good mentor who's tense and stressed because of work since he do the whole job in that company he's understanding and even defend his interns well🥹it's my favorite character so far
Talking about Ryan he kinda lack some common knowledge since he just entered to work in a field he never study before but with the ep going on you can see that he's starting to be useful at work helping his mentor comforting his colleague being more open and more talkative with people in the company😍you see him growing at a job he didn't wanted at first which make him so relatable because not everyone have the opportunity to work at the workplace he wanted
Now JaneRyan relationship and chemistry grow slowly in every episodes as they're getting closer to each other through the struggles and problems happening at work
For the others characters we can see Pie a girl dreaming to become a director she struggles at work for wanting to prove herself too much and will probably start to open more to her colleague(maybe in the upcoming ep) Bahmee is a girl who doesn't have any goal in life but just work there to be close to her boyfriend which will kinda become hard for her in the future(let's see what happen) Pah is quite a funny and mysterious man in that series don't really know much about him for now and Tae is bahmee boyfriend who look like a smart boy but is always disturb at work by her(let's see what happen between them)
Overall till now the serie is really educational and the characters are well develop even the story is interesting and let you feel lot of adrenaline while watching🔥i recommended it for everyone who want to watch a series focus on real life experience and enjoy others country series because this one with the music and graphics don't give a thailand drama vibe but more like an American Turkish or even Indian ones

A Great BL Drama Focusing on the Behind-the-Scenes of a Production Company
I was looking forward to OffGun's new series! And this series turned out to be a very well-done "workplace drama."The story unfolds from Gun's character Ryan's perspective.
It was really enjoyable to watch Ryan, who initially had no specific dreams or goals, slowly discover the meaning of his presence in the workplace, work hard, and grow through his daily job. And Off's character Jane was incredibly charming.
Off has played many roles so far, but I think this cold, seemingly aloof but actually kind and sincere character suits him the best, and it's my favorite portrayal of his.
However, in the latter half, Jane made Ryan anxious by not expressing his thoughts at all, so I wished that part had been explained more.
Also, I wasn’t a fan of the plotline where the trainee Jane was mentoring fell in love with him during the training period.
Speaking of which, the relationship between the trainee Ba-Mhee and her mentor Judy also developed into romance.
Honestly, from an ethical standpoint, this part of the story was uncomfortable to watch.
That said, it was still a great drama, showing young people who initially didn’t know what they wanted or what their real dreams were, eventually finding goals and dreams as they worked with professionals, and growing into accomplished individuals over three months.
My favorite characters are Pah and Pie.
These two were really well-written, relatable young people who faced their jobs and their friends' problems earnestly, without being forced into romantic relationships.
I really liked that.
Thanks to this drama, I learned a lot about how production companies work.
I hope more dramas focusing on professions like this, not just love and relationships, will be made in the future.

fell asleep
this was too boring for words. i thought that maybe i'd just have to wait till all the eps were released and then watch it, but i'm glad i dropped it because i read the story line and that's such BS!!!It would've been better if this were a full on office romance with Jane and Ryan on equal footing instead of this weird power dynamic between intern and boss...weird asf for both couples
I think it would've been nice to finally have both Off and Gun explore more mature characters with other worries on their mind, like work ambitions, work place culture & relationships (is that coworker just being friendly or is it more?), or how to stand up for yourself (like 'hey there's something wrong with this project but i dont know how to bring it up to my supervisor') etc. etc.
in every drama so far there is an unequal power dynamic between offgun (whether this is intentional or not doesnt matter) and it would've been interesting to see a contrast not from power but from characteristic principles, ambitions etc.
but we didn't get that.

beautiful
my eyes! the colors and set are gorgeous. loving the sound as well- so satisfying and adds so much to the overall vibe. the intentional design feels romantic and it reminds me of Amelie. who wouldn’t fall in love working in an office with such amazing lighting? the cast is adorable and I am excited to see the Ryan Jane journey. they are so different and it feels there is a lot of distance to bridge. I hope we get Jane’s story and more of Ryan’s family as well. it’s funny, sweet and beautiful! Was this review helpful to you?

No Training Needed
The Trainee was marketed as an OffGun drama and, in general, as a BL. It became clear quite early on that this was false advertising and it was actually more of an ensemble rom-com in an office setting. Personally, I loved it, but I also don't solely watch BLs and I didn't really have any expectations of this drama. I think if you go in with that mindset, you'll find there's a lot to enjoy. While The Trainee is a rom-com and romance does play a role in it's story, what I loved most was the secondary focus on the interns and Jane looking for their paths in life. We're expected to know what we want to do with our lives as soon as we graduate high school and I appreciated the realism that they didn't have everything figured out, particularly with Jane who was even older and was still figuring things out. I think that's something that really needs to be normalized far more than it is. And even those who did know what they wanted to do like Pie quickly found that there was still a lot to learn. There were also elements like the importance of learning from your mistakes and not being too proud to apologize, all little things that just added to the atmosphere and camaraderie of the office setting and that theme of growing up and finding your way in life.
I hate time jumps, I really do. They're lazy and annoying. We suddenly have a much more mature Ryan which is so unsatisfying because we didn't get the journey of how he got to that point. And he and Jane are reunited with the impression that they haven't really had any communication in the last 5 years which makes absolutely no sense because they have phones, they can call, text, Facetime, whatever. Are they both just completely dramatic masochists? On the one hand, I do understand the need for time to have passed. Neither of them was at a good point to pursue a relationship previously and when they meet again, they are both more mature as people and in their careers. There is the hope that they can truly build something solid now. I just hate the way they did it.
I really loved seeing the friendship that developed between the interns from basically ignoring each other at the beginning to besties at the end, they were just adorable and it felt real. I liked that they were friends as a whole, but they also paired off and had their individual friends like Ryan and Pie, Pie and Ba-Mhee, and Pah and Tae. Their support for each other was really beautiful to see and the way they learned from each other.
I do think Jane and Ryan's relationship needed more attention than it got. I liked them as a couple, but Ryan, especially initially was made far too helpless and it made it hard to see what Jane saw in him. There needed to be more time and focus on what exactly drew them together and how and why they clicked. They did get to a point where you could see it, but it was that initial that just seemed glossed over. Their relationship there at the end also felt unsatisfying in the last couple episodes. Jane disappeared with no explanation, popped back up announcing that he was going to get his Masters and that was it? It felt too abrupt. We needed more of the two of them actually sitting down and having adult conversations. In general, I do think there needed to be a little more of a focus on their relationship so we could see all that and they could be more cohesive as a couple.
On the other hand, I would have liked less focus on the mess that was the love triangle of Ba-Mhee, Tae, and Judy. That was a lot. Ba-Mhee was my least favorite of the interns for a myriad of reasons, but the biggest one was how she handled everything with Tae and Judy. Beyond the fact that she cheated on Tae, she lead on Judy when she had to know she was still in love with Tae and in no condition to pursue another relationship and when Judy did things she didn't like, rather than communicate, she just went along with it and then whined to her friends. That's not to say that Judy wasn't at fault. Jane at least was aware of appearances in getting involved with an intern while Judy didn't seem to care and was very blasé about the whole thing so to an extent it felt like she brought it on herself. Tae too really failed in the whole communication department which didn't help matters in the slightest. To be honest, I did like Ba-Mhee and Judy together. They had a lot of chemistry and they just worked. Not a fan of the cheating at all and I'm not justifying it. I think they could have eliminated that, had Ba-Mhee realize that she and Tae weren't compatible and had her get together with Judy and her and Tae just be friends. Honestly, Tae always seemed just kind of mildly irritated by her or unsure of what to do with her; I wasn't feeling romance between them.
This was a very talented cast and it shows. Off and Gun dominated every scene they were in as one would expect of them. I love View and I thought she did a great job with her character's development and gradual softening. Sea is such a talented actor and while I really didn't notice any chemistry between him and Piploy, he was fantastic as Tae otherwise. Kudos to Pompam for an entertaining turn as Baimon and Bobby as the wise and insightful Jo.
The production was great. There was so much attention to detail on the sets and the cinematography was just really beautiful. The after credit scenes were a fun way to explain film terminology and I applaud their creativity with that.
Though not at all what it was marketed as, that does not mean this drama is not worth the watch. It proved to be unexpectedly wholesome and sweet and while romance is certainly in the air and plays its part, it's the friendships that bring it all together. I would highly recommend that you put all preconceived notions aside and just enjoy this drama as it is. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

might not be everyone's cup of tea, but it's definely mine
Even though the development of the main pairing janeryan could be a little better, I was glad that The Trainee spent so much time showing the characters struggles as an young adults who still don't know that much about themselves. It was honestly very refreshing to go from teenage stories to something that I can personally relate to! It also soothed some of my own desperation to get everything right when I watched them suceed after so many failed attempts, it was like being gently reminded that we're still learning who we are and we're still finding out how to do this right.
I know a lot of people didn't really enjoy ba-mhee's storyline, and even though I didn't love it I honestly found it to be a very interesting and honest take on how we sometimes might deal with relationships.
I just wished we could see Judy getting her happy ending when it comes to romantic relationships.
overall, it's not perfect, some characters could be better exploited, but I do think it's still a very good watching experience.

OffGun is backkkkk!
It’s been awhile since GMMTV has launched such a slow burning BL. Did this creative gamble pay off? Absolutely. There’s no dramatic moment where they meet for the first time and sparks immediately fly. The relationship really takes its time. But I’m not complaining. This was really good stuff.
Coming off the back of Cooking Crush (a silly story that turned out to be really cringey and in my humble opinion, a complete waste of Off and Gun’s talents), The Trainee has proven that Off and Gun can shine – when given the right storyline and director.
The Trainee is entertaining beyond the developing romance between the main leads. While it’s a major plot point, the other characters in the show are also given interesting character development arcs. This is significant and refreshing because they don’t exist merely to facilitate the relationship between the main leads.
There was little fanfare about the series and you don’t get the same level of hype and promotion unlike some other BL couples. But I’m utterly obsessed with this show.

Wasted potential
Honestly this show started of so so good, even from watching the trailer you could feel it would be a good one. Though as we kept on watching the story slowly felt like it was losing it's path and instead of going forward it started moving to different paths. One (and the most important) was the love triangle between Judy, Bahmee and Tae we wasted so much precious screetime for our boys and main couple may I add to a story that not only did it not live up to its hype it threw off the overall vibe of the series. Bahmee going back to Tae because she apparently missed him (more like missed playing mother and child) really did it for me. She completely forgot about her personal growth and her promises to not only Judy but to herself, lost all personality and became once again just Tae's girlfriend that also happens to work now as an AE. It's sad seeing gmmtv waste another gl by turning it back to a heterosexual ship. Gmmtv truly needs to open their eyes and understand just how big GL shows now are. Their actresses deserve so much more and so much better especially since many of them are way better at acting than many of their main men actors. It was really disappointing seeing how the story ended up especially since they promoted it as a GL couple, I honestly wish they just never did it and use the time to build up Jane's and Ryan's relationship since we barely ever saw them at some point of the series. It got so bad that we got our first kiss and second kiss (the only to kisses between the MAIN couple) at the last two episodes. I hope gmmtv will learn their lesson and not waste such a good show again, because if done right the love story along side with the humour, the beautiful friendship between the interns and later on their mentors, the world building and the directing, the show would have been an easy 10/10 and one of the best shows they ever released.

Title on point
Off-Gun new drama, of course here I come... As usual, their chemistry didn't disappoint us. But turn out this drama offer us more than typical BL drama. Fair warning, this drama does not focus on Off-Gun relationship, but rather a group of internship & how they become mature in their workplace.Story about a group of intern that get their first step into workplace. As ordinary people, these bunch youngster also don't know what they did & what to expect in the workplace. They did a bunch of mistake, get yelled at & finally become good at what they did.
Ryan:
> A man that put his feet into the wrong place. Ryan comes to Good Pick to accompany his friend, but mistakenly been called into the interview place. But since Ryan also looked for place to do his internship, he decided to stay around, accepting his position in Good Pick.
> In the Good Pick, he got the fiercest mentor, Jane. Many bad rumoured around the company about Jane, at first, he also almost quit. But when Ryan work with Jane, he realizes Jane not as bad as people talk about him. And of course, since their our main lead, their feeling toward each other also blooms with their closeness.
Tae:
Your typical geek friend. He got internship for editing team. He did his best in the editing team, but that's also mean he started to abandon his girlfriend, Ba-Mhee. And this later will trigger problem for them.
Ba-Mhee:
The girl that went to Good Pick just to become close with her boyfriend, Tae. She got internship as Client Relation (CR). She first thinks CR just pretty girl that sit around do nothing. But when she did her internship, she found out, this work not that easy.
Pah:
Your slow friend. He got internship as art team. He is one slow mind people, not in action, but rather in the way he is thinking & loading information. In Indonesia, we call this kind of friend as 'lemot'. But he's one loyal friend.
Pie:
Lastly, we got Pie. Your awesome friend. She knew what she did, or think she knew. Cause she's ever made short film & get award for it. So, she's got used to with shooting place. But as we always said, work for small project and big project/firm is so different. So yeah, she also got shocked by how in the Good Pick she's nobody & know any better.
That's pretty much the story about our character.. Now what I like & don't
What I like:
+ The pretty realistic workplace. How the intern been treated, Good Pick is really good place to train the intern.
+ How much our groups grow into adult that ready to take their place into workplace.
+ They never shy to said sorry, even if their higher up in the company. Like the Accounting manager, for yelled at Pah several time, but when she knows that Pah literally don't know what he supposed to do for the finance report, cause no one teach him in the team, she apologizes to Pah for being so harsh.
+ Ba-Mhee & Tae learn how to be better in their relationship.
+ This drama for talk about the sensitivity of sexual preferences. I mean with Ba-Mhee, how she confuses of her feeling between Tae & Judy.
+ How trust your partner. Like in Jane & Ryan case in the last episode.
+ How to find your passion no matter how old you are. Like in Jane case.
+ End scene. There are explanation of production house / shooting related at every episode before the credit scene...
What I don't like:
- Their communication are really sucks. Jane - Ryan or Ba-Mhee & Tae
Overall, this one really one good drama. If you hope for romance, just stay away from these. Because we got so little almost no romance, especially Off-Gun.

I Laughed So Much (10/10 for Offgun!)
I love the setting. It's refreshing to watch different roles & departments that bring a movie alive. I really love this aspect and the aspect of internship is also pretty nice. The only thing is- I really don't enjoy Tae & Baeh min relationship from the moment they appear on screen. It just doesn't land well on me. That said, Sea looks cute and hot in that glassess!
I pretty much fast forward all non-Off Gun scenes- I just glimpsed enough to know whats going on
OffGun chemistry is SOOOO good- as usual! Its a familiar dynamic done in a different way, which never gets old coz honestly- there's something about OffGun chemistry that's unique to them- which makes me a fan from day 1 till now!
It seems the show these days have a mixed of BL, GL and Hetero- its a hot mess. I miss the old classic BL show where OffGun just falls head over heels over each other- with main screentime on them.
GMMTV- We seriously need a real good OffGun series as main couples, when i say MAIN, i mean- the kind of main where I don't have to fastforward more than half of the show.
Otherwise, I really enjoy OffGUn interaction here- I LAUGHED so much, its been a while I had a real good laugh. Thank you!!!

Its Really Funny!
If you all looking for an all out BL romance story, you might feel a bit misplaced here. But the overall objective of being comedy was great! From the sound effects, one-liners and odd characters, every episode was so funny. They still maintained a healthy balance with some drama and seriousness of the setting, very well done.I had a great time. If you are looking for a great laugh this is it. It leans more into the lives of the intern and learning about production which was fun for me as a person who was in the field. The romance is just enough to keep the story interesting. There is also a bit of drama which I throughly enjoyed. The cast and production crew did a fantastic job, cheers for enough amazing story well told. A definite mood booster and re-watch for me.
