Let'sssss get it!!✊?
❤️Honestly, I really liked it! The cast and acting were amazing, especially 🦋Park Min-young (as yun yirang) she totally owned her role. Every character had their charm and chemistry that made the show fun to watch. James (park hee soon), Gu-ho(jo jong hyuk) make it super delicious..!🐬🔥 The story felt a bit messy in the first half, but the middle & last few episodes were actually the best emotional, smart and full of twists.💥The dark aesthetic, lighting, and overall vibe were on point it had a mix of drama, humor, and stylish con-scenes that kept me hooked. Even with some flaws, it’s a unique and enjoyable heist drama. Definitely worth watching if you love strong leads and clever teamwork!✨💯
You all can give it a try!🥳

Needed more episodes
I think this show would have been a great one with 20 episodes in total. The story is interesting, the reveals are fun, the characters are believable. I really enjoy this type of con/heist type shows that are lighter in tone than what the Korean media usually comes up with. I liked how this show managed to keep it light but still hint at the darker themes. The balance was kept well.
The problem was, they didn't have enough time to cement their main theme. When the line comes at the end, it rings hollow. Not only that, it reads as something else entirely.
Overall though, I really enjoyed it. Park Minyoung was absolutely brilliant in this.
*spoilers*
When Yirang says Yoseop lost because he didn't have a community, it's totally news to us as the audience that "community vs individualism" was the theme of the show. We've seen cases against greed and cases against callousness, but they didn't develop this enough for this line to land. Instead, we've seen Yirang and her rich clique taking down a man who made his way up the social ladder through playing the rich. If they had more time developing the villain beyond that, this show would have been a 10 for me.
*spoilers*

Underrated drama with great storyline but weak start.
What a fun ride this drama turned out to be! Although it took about three or four episodes to truly hit its stride, once the core team assembled and the dynamic took hold, I was completely hooked. The greatest strength of the series lies in the brilliant teamwork of the central trio. It was immensely satisfying to watch them operate, always staying several steps ahead of their targets to ensure justice was served. Every case felt fresh, providing exciting challenges and leading to genuinely entertaining downfalls for the villains. A major highlight was the performance of the actor playing James (Park Hee-soon); his ability to completely transform into new characters for each scheme was captivating and added a unique layer of flair to the show. Yun I Ran's wardrobe was so impressive, it felt less like watching a drama and more like attending a high-end fashion show.
Despite the high praise for the team and action, the drama carries one significant flaw: the backstory involving Yun I Ran. This subplot felt entirely disconnected from the compelling main narrative and ultimately detracted from the experience. The exploration of her trauma was poorly executed and could have—and arguably should have—been left out of the story entirely. It added no necessary depth and only served to interrupt the fantastic momentum built by the main action plot.
Overall, this is a highly enjoyable and intelligent story about a great team that catches villains. It’s a shame this drama is so underrated; its current rating simply doesn't do justice to the brilliant chemistry, engaging cases, and sheer fun factor it delivers. It's definitely a must-watch for fans of crime and teamwork dramas.

it was better than I expected
To be completely honest, I wasn’t expecting much out of this drama and started watching it just to pass the time, but in the end it was a nice surprise.I’m a complete sucker for Park Min Young, so I might be suspicious here when I say this, but she completely shined on this role, making it refreshing to watch her play a cunning and smart character without a love line in this story.
Now… although I said it refreshing watching her in a drama where she didn’t have a love line, I’ll admit I’m a sucker for a good romance and kind of started this kinda hoping for one, however, the chemistry between the main cast was so freaking good, — it so natural and fun, that completely dismissed the need of a romance to keep me hooked, instead, I was always watching out for their antics, and trying to figure out how they would mess with Gun Ho next lol
I’ll admit that the ending, although satisfying, felt kinda short for how long it took to build up things to that point, still, it was satisfying to watch even if it was not perfect by my standards. Overall, a great drama and a 10 out of 10 would recommend if you want something light and entertaining, with a bit of comedy and a subtle mystery, to pass the time.

Confidently good
Confidence Queen is a drama that I can confidently say is good. It's delightfully unpredictable, has great bromance and friendship, a nice set of unique characters that blend well together, i.e. the characters who are supposed to be bad make the viewer really hate them, the characters that are made to be supported have the viewers on their side. I would say however that there were a few unpredictable moments that made me confused, and I'm glad it ended where it did, as it was becoming a little repetitive; not bad, just on the verge of repetitiveness.I enjoyed the vast range of themes and scenery alongside costumes and cinematography. The OST was wonderfully addictive and the cast was what I expected from the cast when seen on paper: great. There were a few minor characters who were a little off and the extras were made to look seriously dumb and stick out like a sore thumb, unfortunately.
In conclusion, if someone was to ask me about whether they should try 'Confidence Queen', I would say yes, watch it, but try and binge-watch it. I think watching it at a slow pace myself made it a tad less enjoyable. It's still a solid drama in the drama world, however.

Putting on hold from ep 9
I had been enjoying the ride of this show since ep 1. Loving the performance of the 3 leads, specially the actor who plays James. I think he is a genius actor who we need to see more in lead roles. The terrific acting has been carrying the show on its able shoulders, so much so that despite the obvious suspension of disbelief required at many places, the show(the con-acts) seemed believable. I loved the painter-arc and the beauty-product tycoon arcs. They were thoroughly enjoyable. But ep 9 suddenly felt disappointing with the introduction of the seafood tycoon arc and to be honest i dropped the episode halfway through . Somehow, the pattern of the show felt as if it was turning monotonous.
It feels almost as if the team intends to show us the scum of each profession.
I have kept the show on hold for now.

Light, Sharp, and Surprisingly Addictive
Contrary to popular opinion, I really enjoyed Confidence Queen! I love it when the female lead is the mastermind, smart, beautiful, and just evil enough. The show’s format, focusing on a different case every other episode, kept things fresh and fun. Watching the evil characters finally get what they deserved was so satisfying. The childhood kidnapping storyline was probably the weakest part for me. a bit boring and unnecessary but it didn’t ruin the experience.
Park Min Young and Joo Jong Hyuk had great chemistry, though I did feel Park Hee-Soon was miscast. He’s definitely better suited for more serious, intense roles.
Overall, Confidence Queen was a great weekly watch: light, simple, and entertaining without needing too much emotional investment in the characters or the story. A solid, underrated drama for those who love clever female leads and stylish revenge stories!

An Underrated Gem Elevated by Park Hee-soon
Park Hee-soon is truly the heartbeat of this show. While the storyline and production were solid on their own, it was his presence that gave the series depth, intensity, and unexpected emotional weight. Seeing him step into a new kind of role—distinct from his previous works—was refreshing, yet he still managed to carry over the same raw charisma that made his past performances unforgettable. One scene in particular stood out: when he plays the cop, there's a subtle callback to his role in The Bequeathed. The way he carries himself, the calm but commanding energy—it felt like a quiet echo of his previous character, but reimagined through a completely new lens. That moment gave me chills, almost like watching two worlds collide.
If you’re already a fan of Park Hee-soon, this series will give you a fresh appreciation for his range.

“Park Min-young + Genius Cons = Your New K-Drama Obsession "
Confidence Queen is such a fun ride! Park Min-young totally owns the role of Yoon Yi-rang, a genius con artist who’s way too smart (IQ 165!) and stylish for her own good. She leads this hilarious little crew of swindlers who pull off wild scams against greedy villains—think fake shamans, crazy disguises, and mind games that make you want to clap at the screen. Instead of just being about the tricks, the show has heart too, with lots of warm moments sprinkled between the laughs. The cast really makes it shine. Park Hee-soon is effortlessly cool as the veteran James, and Joo Jong-hyuk brings so much charm as Gu-ho—their banter with Yi-rang feels natural and makes you love the team even more. On top of that, the chemistry between Yi-rang and Gu-ho adds just the right amount of sweetness.
It’s light, clever, and super bingeable, with each episode feeling like a mini heist movie. THerefore, If you’re in the mood for a drama that mixes brains, comedy, and heart, Confidence Queen is definitely worth the watch.

a waste of time, both for the creators and the viewers
I'm so sorry to say this, because of the efforts of so many people, but after only 2 episodes I can see that the series is not good. The plots are waaaaaaay too illogical, the whole thing is unpleasantly exaggerated, (even music)and acting of main female character is too much. She isnt a good actress. I think they try to be funny and silly but it is……somehow too too much. I'm giving up and never come back.

Robin Hood, But Make It Slick. My First Look at Confidence Queen.
First episode in, and I'm already intrigued. The plot will likely branch into multiple storylines, with the main characters facing off against various antagonists. What makes it interesting is that their methods aren’t always morally clear, they often bend the rules by impersonating others and taking on roles they aren’t technically entitled to. Still, their ultimate goal remains justifiable: to protect the innocent and bring justice to those who have been wronged.
Introducing our charismatic crew of con artists: Starting with Yoon Yi Rang, portrayed by Park Min Young. She’s smart, witty, and unstoppable; whatever she sets her sights on, she achieves. But her schemes always come with a purpose, as she uses her talents for a greater good. Fiercely loyal to her partners in crime and always ready to help those in need, Yoon Yi Rang is the ultimate good baddie, the kind who flips her hair, winks, and blows a kiss while leaving you in awe. And yes, her outfits in this drama are absolutely stunning.
Next up is James, played by Park Hee Soon, the seasoned member of the crew. With his years of experience, he carries himself with an air of sophistication, looking every bit as expensive as he sounds. Calm and collected, he balances the team with his composed demeanor, but he also surprises with a dry, dad-joke kind of humor that’s oddly charming. Most importantly, James is the steady backbone of the group, always standing by his partners and offering unwavering support.
Finally, we have Myung Gu Ho, portrayed by Joo Jong Hyuk, the youngest of the group. Energetic and eager to help, he radiates a puppy-like charm, trustworthy, funny, and utterly genuine. His light-hearted nature brings warmth to the team, and even when he gets a little grumpy with his partners, he doesn’t come across as intimidating, just irresistibly cute.
Confidence Queen has a very promising premise, and I’m excited to see where it goes. While it’s hard to judge a show based on just one episode, I’m already hooked, the concept is engaging, the characters are delightful, and the music fits perfectly, keeping every moment interesting.
Right from the start, the drama gave me familiar vibes, reminding me a lot of Leverage (the Korean adaptation). After looking into it, I realized that the same director, Nam Ki Hoon, who worked on Leverage, is behind Confidence Queen as well. That connection gives me even more hope for the series, especially since I thoroughly enjoyed Leverage back in 2020.
I can’t wait to see how the story unfolds, and I would highly recommend Confidence Queen to anyone looking for a fun and thrilling watch.
