A fun show (if u look past technicalities)

Their ideas and schemes were fun to watch even though its not practical. Park Min Young as yu yirang was so fun , she was such a diva. I liked her backstory and overall connection to the main revenge plot. I feel like this could have been done without the other two of the trio since they aren't that important. The cameos were a nice addition too. They are definitely going to have a s2 and I know where that is going to go.

Same Old Thing in a New Packaging!!

What happens when a genius con artist joins hands with her bodyguard & a pure character to fight injustices!

So, after “Marry My Husband”, I was expecting something fresh & intriguing from Park Min Young. She is one of my favorite Korean actresses, so I’m always sat for her shows; no matter the storyline. “Confidence Queen” depicts her in a never seen role before; her Yun I Rang is a genius with sociopathic tendencies. While you would expect violent behavior from such individuals, especially when their peace is disturbed; I Rang has an overtly bubbly personality and a sharp acumen. She solely focuses her intellectual abilities on seeking justice for victims who have been wronged by rich, ruthless individuals. Joining her on this crusade is her old bodyguard, James whom she picks up when he is fired from his job. Myung Gu Hu makes up the triad as the youngest member. The storyline doesn’t offer anything new; the trio take on cases where poor, helpless victims have been wrongfully accused. Yun I Rang is obviously the brains of their operation, but as the show unravels, it becomes clear there is a deep mystery hidden.

“Money, Scams & a Side of Trauma — Meet the Confidence Queen”

So here we have a rich, independent, dangerous, yet deeply traumatized woman running the show — basically, your favorite “queen with a past” type of K-drama heroine. The acting? Pretty solid. You’ll even find bits of humor sprinkled here and there to keep things light.
But honestly… I couldn’t completely connect with the story — maybe because I’m not that rich and I’ve got a few more real-world priorities (like paying bills instead of scamming millionaires 😅).
That said, if you enjoy crime dramas with stylish scammers, sleek visuals, and a few throwback 90s-era sequences, this might be your cup of tea (or champagne 🍾).
Would I rewatch it? Probably not.
Would I recommend it to crime-drama lovers? Absolutely, especially if you like your crime with a side of glamour and chaos.
P.S.: The scammers here are way too good-looking for their own good — just saying 👀

Entertaining!

This was funny! They can play any role and it shows in this. They were all pretending to be different persons and they acted so good too.
What can James not do!? lol and he looks so funny in some of his looks.
Lost it when James and that doc was running in the rain and you hear “you are my everything” 🤣🤣🤣
Overall it was entertaining. And I can’t wait for part 2 since she said “we will be back” at the end.

PARK MIYEONG THE ACTRESS YOU ARE...

DONOT let the slimy words of those haters get to you. I wonder why these people think that hating on one actress would make their favorites stand out more. Not knowing that the sky is wide enough for all stars to shine collectively.
This aside, if you want to watch a fun drama that also keeps you on your tippy toes, CONGRATS this drama is for youuuuuuuu. The first two episodes were amazing and I CANNOT wait for the next one now..... especially seeing who would cameo in that episode.
Park MinYeong is a WONDERFUL ACTRESS and I love when she gets roles like these.
Let's see what this Team Robinhood brings to us.....💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞

The drama is so good

I loved the drama I was waiting for it each Saturday and Sunday. The cast and storyline was amazing. I also wouldn't be disappointed if they brought another drama. The ending was cinema and a good plot twist. I loved each storyline of when they catch the bad guys honestly. Park Min Young at his role up. I also was expecing some romance but the story was still graea in the end without it.

A laundromat for the evil.

Bravo team 👏👏👏 Well done 👏👏👏
It was such a fun watch.
Loved the endless twists throughout the drama.
The con operations were such a delight to watch. And undercover looks were phenomenal.
The cast really did well.
Too bad people might miss gem because of the rating.
Cheers to the rest of us who enjoyed the drama regardless I guess.

Revenge served with confidence

It starts off with a bang and you would expect things would slow down or it would fall short after such an amazing in your face pilot episode but no damn it kept on increasing the “confidence” with each and every episode. Amazing cast and series. Very good acting and chemistry. God this is park min young’s best show in my opinion she is just shining. At first i was thinking why did they cast her there are so many actresses why her but now i know why her only she could deliver such performance to be honest. It’s a perfect mix of comedy, slyness, quirkiness, action/revenge her eyes and her body language did change with emotion she had to portray. Stunning ! is the only way i can describe this series.

Fun, Funny, Funnier, Funniest! Action, Adventure, Party, Emotions, Surprise~~...

If you watch this one with a right mindset and timing. I am sure this one won't dissapoint unless there is a personal preferrences for particular moral point or actors since they carry this drama man!

If we have to rank what carried this drama...
though a good script is what takes to make anything even worth to watch.
However despite being a good story, it wasn't an extremely unique one in the industry. However it felt such!

Reasons? for me to binge it in one sitting?
First would be the direction and dialogues,
which actually worked so well — thanks to the second, amazing acting!

Shoutout to Park Min Young, Joo Jong Hyuk, and Park Hee Soon-- amazing performances. Their dynamic and contrasting conflicts were so engaging i am sure those who stayed, stayed for their interactions and jokes.

A sibling-cum-friendly banter, caring enough to donate a liver but ready to kill for a glass of water.

Yi-rang’s eccentricity blended perfectly with Gu Ho’s innocence.
This pair, softly wrapped under James’ care, felt like the perfect gang ever.
Each had their own weapons, quirks, and issues.
And honestly — we’d love an overpowering, invincible FL Park Min Young any day!

Though I completely fell for Yi-rang — her wardrobe, her lowkey need to be acknowledged or cared for by her teammates despite claiming to be a sociopath,
her unhinged lying in the most serious situations,
her backstory, her revenge methods, … that smile!..... ,

This man Gu Ho, somehow, became a character I kept caring for and looking out for through the entire series.
The whole CFO twist at the end did make me question — “bro, not possible…”
And I was right! I knew he wouldn’t blatantly ruin it all or forsake the bond he built over the last five years.
Being the emotional Gu Ho he is… of course not.

Truly, they say it right — blessed are those with kind and innocent hearts.
We unknowingly grow softer toward kind people.

It was hilarious how Yi-rang, despite being arrogant and proud by nature, never hesitated to step back when needed —
whether it was fake tears or a planned sorry.
I was glad she didn’t let ego ruin it or make things too serious between friends.

Honestly, it was hilarious. I never found her heartless or soulless.
If anything, she was sincere — just in her own sociopathic way, as I love to say.
And we all know one or two people like that — those who have their own unique way of showing love. ❤️

A fun watch with 3 ridiculously attractive leads!

First off, I loved the three main characters and the side characters that helped them complete their tricks. That being said, the show started to slow down in the middle for me and I had to push through to finish it. I wonder what would have happened if they skipped the whole cute-rich-girl-kidnapped-for-money-scheme and it was just three people who sought to make money while righting the wrongs of people in power who abused others. I don't think the connection of how that that traumatic experience shaped the FL was developed and discovering who the mastermind was and the con to get him were not as satisfying as I would have liked.

Those ratings are foul, this deserves more love.

"Confidence Woman" is a crime comedy that cleverly blends humor with the thrill of the con, offering a fresh take on the vigilante genre. The show centers around a trio of con artists who target the wealthy elite who exploit their fortunes for nefarious purposes. This premise immediately sets the stage for a narrative filled with both suspense and social commentary, as the audience is invited to root for characters who operate outside the law but within a moral gray area.

The strength of "Confidence Woman" lies in its well-developed characters. Yirang, the female lead, is the brains of the operation, portrayed with captivating complexity. Her meticulous planning and sociopathic tendencies are balanced by a hidden depth, keeping viewers engaged and eager to uncover more about her. The performance by Park Minyoung seems to be a highlight, effectively capturing the character's confidence and hidden vulnerabilities. James, the master of disguise, adds a dynamic element to the team. His ability to transform into various personas is not only entertaining but also crucial to the success of their cons. Park Hae-soo, known for his villainous roles, brings a refreshing twist to his character, showcasing versatility. Guho, the youngest member, provides a contrasting personality with his kindness and compassion. The interplay between these three characters creates a compelling dynamic that drives the story forward.

The acting across the board is impressive, with the cast skillfully portraying multiple roles throughout the heists. The expressive performances enhance the comedic elements and the emotional depth of the characters. The show's ability to keep viewers guessing, combined with its clever plotlines and strong performances, makes "Confidence Woman" a standout in its genre. It's a show that deserves more recognition for its engaging storytelling.
