Waste of time-these 10 star reviews are lying to you
As a romance show it’s not anything over 6 stars. It sucks. The 2FL is straight up “happily” forgiven for taking 18 YEARS OF THEIR LIFE… like what? This is what I despise about asian dramas. Sorry to tell it to ya writers, we don’t need blanket forgiveness to have a feel good ending. It’s straight up annoying. There is no way on this planet you would go ahh you poor thing for ruining my life. Taking literally their best prime years, and you are actually the victim of yourself. No, you wouldn’t. And the evil son but not a son - what was that about? Just knock it off and let’s see some actual consequences for evil deeds. The ending was ridiculous too. Why the slapstick attempt at a wedding? The month trip to New Zealand to kill a bit of time? This show had too many silly parts and lots of plot holes. Far too long mid drama was draggy and FL stupid sneering mouth faces, it got so tedious. She literally was the reason they broke up as teens because of her jealousy over a non event, yet he is not allowed to be jealous that she lives with a guy with an obvious crush, spends tones of alone time with him, and then acts like a brat. Sorry, this behavior was written so poorly for what are supposed to be MATURE adults. They were written like teenagers. The lack of skinship was glaring. The chemistry in the older mains was completely void. The only couple that was believable as a couple besotted with each other was the teens. Well done kiddos you killed it. The old ones were stuffy, silly and lacking in chemistry.
The nurse’s relationship was more engaging, thank you for getting that right.
Heads up-you want to see how a drama for mature adults in late 30’s should be written and executed-watch “Love to Hate You.” I’m not referring to how much intimacy either. Rather I’m saying their overall interactions and behavior is mature. Not this silly slapstick stuff.

If you are looking for a sign to watch it, then this is definitely your sign!
I don't usually write reviews until it's done but seeing it's more than half of the episodes are out then giving review is a must because I felt like everyone should tune in. If you are looking for a good romance comedy with good ost then this is the drama you are looking for. As someone who have been watching a lot of dramas, I must say I easily gets bored but for this drama, no boring scenes and its been planned really well. The younger counterparts are really good that you wish for them to reunite for another drama. The main leads are chefs kiss. I'm glad Ju Ji Hoon took another romcom after so many years. He has that melo eyes which is perfect and blends with Yumi's acting. There are cliche scenes but I love it.They deliver those scenes well and not cringe. Almost all kinds of tropes in a romance drama is here. From Enemies to Lovers, Youth Romance, Cohabitation, Office Romance, Second Chance, Ex Lovers, Family drama, they have it all. This is such an underrated gem! So everyone should watch out!

One time watch!!!!!
What I like-2024 brought me back to watching kdramas. This drama doesn't have a unique story; its plot is simple and easy to guess. However, the way the story developed kept me engaged. You sense the hatred from the beginning, but the reasons behind it remained a mystery until episode seven.
The younger cast was impressive. They could easily carry their own short series, especially the main leads. I disliked Ji Hye for her actions, but she eventually realized her mistakes and showed growth, which was in the last two episodes.
The comedy hit the mark, and all the side characters had good stories too. The second lead was a sweetheart from the beginning and remained like that even after being rejected. The original soundtrack was really great.
What I don’t like-
The cast for Seok Ji Won’s Dad felt a bit too old. In some scenes, he looked as if he could be the same age as Yoon Ji Won’s grandfather.
When Seok Ji won saved Yoon on the rooftop, he chose not to clear the misunderstandings even though he knew what she was going through. It's not fair to blame Ji Hye for everything. But I wouldn't want a friend like that in my life after knowing all the backstory.
They both could clear those misunderstandings but acted like children.
The female lead's outfits during the pre-wedding shoot missed the mark. If they wanted a small-town vibe, there were better choices available.
I really wished the main leads would have a conversation about not abandoning each other. She was at Namsan, while he was right outside her house. A good 15-minute talk would have made me understand them more.
I would have given it a perfect 10 if the younger ones carried the whole show. Definitely not his(JJH) best one.

An Emotional Journey Worth Watching
Love Your Enemy is a drama that left such a big impression on me, and I’ve been thinking about it ever since I finished it. It’s the kind of show that makes you feel so many emotions all at once sadness, anger, happiness, and even frustration. That’s why I gave it a 9 out of 10. It’s incredibly close to being perfect, but there are just a few things that held it back from getting a full score. One of the biggest reasons this drama stood out to me was the acting. The cast did such an amazing job bringing their characters to life. Every performance felt so real, and you could see how much effort went into making the emotions authentic. The leads were phenomenal every interaction they had felt natural and powerful. You could feel their chemistry, whether they were arguing, laughing, or just sitting in silence. Even the supporting cast had moments where they shined, although I do wish some of them had been given more to work with.
Another thing I loved was the production quality. Visually, the show is stunning. The cinematography isn’t just beautiful it actually adds to the story. The way they used lighting to show mood or used colors to reflect the characters’ emotions was just so clever. It’s something you don’t always notice right away, but it definitely makes the scenes feel more impactful. And then there’s the music it was absolutely perfect. Every song felt like it was written just for the moment it played, and the background score never felt overdone or out of place. It made emotional scenes even more heart wrenching and intense moments even more exciting.
I rated it a 9 instead of an 8 because this drama clearly goes above and beyond what you’d expect from a typical show. It pulls you into its world and makes you feel connected to the characters and their struggles. There’s so much depth in the emotions and themes, and you can tell that a lot of thought went into every detail. It’s the kind of show that stays with you, not just because it’s entertaining, but because it makes you think.
But at the same time, I couldn’t give it a 10. There were a few moments where the plot felt a little predictable. While the main characters were developed really well, some of the side characters felt like they were just there to move the story along and didn’t get the attention they deserved. It’s not a huge flaw, but it’s enough to keep the drama from being completely flawless.
One scene that didn’t stand out for me was a secondary character’s emotional confession about a past mistake. While it was meant to be a key moment, it felt rushed and lacked the depth and emotional weight seen in the main storyline. The dialogue didn’t hit as hard, and the character’s motivations weren’t fully explored, making the scene feel forgettable. It’s a moment where more development could have made a big difference, and this is one reason why I gave the drama a 9 instead of a perfect 10.
Overall, Love Your Enemy is an unforgettable experience. It’s emotional, beautifully made, and filled with performances that draw you in completely. It’s not perfect, but it’s so close, and that’s why I feel it deserves a 9 out of 10. If you’re looking for a drama that’s intense, emotional, and incredibly well-made, this is one you absolutely need to watch.

Nice try.
As a self-proclaimed introvert, stories like this are a bit triggering. Too much gossiping and interfering by coworkers to be truly entertaining. After a while I had to fast forward when the intruding coworkers appeared. In the real world, faculty spreading so many rumors would be disciplined or terminated. And the fact that the student body was included in the gossiping was cringeworthy. I would have rated it higher if all the negativity was eliminated. Was this review helpful to you?

Love the teen storyline but the drama tries to do too much.
I think “Love Your Enemy” suffers from the same criticism as many other second-chance romances - the teen/past story is better and more interesting than the adult/present-day story.I truly enjoy the acting of the young actors, Oh Ye Ju (as young FL) and Hong Min Ki (as young ML). Oh Ye Ju has played the younger version of many female leads in the past and you can tell she knows what she’s doing. She brings the young Yun Ji Won to life. She’s so full of life, so charming and so adorable at the same time. Took me a little bit to get used to Hong Min Ki’s acting but as the young romance progresses, you see a young actor that can have range in expressing different emotions. The two of them delivered a fun and heart-wrenching romance.
Despite having veteran actors in Ju Ji Hoon and Jung Yu Mi, I couldn’t find the same chemistry and attraction to their storyline. I think Ju Ji Hoon does his best and he does a good job. I guess my issue is the character development of Yun Ji Won (FL), who has endured such trauma in her life. She is no longer the younger version of herself, and life’s challenges have changed her. She has lost her charm. If I never saw the young romance, I might not have been as disappointed.
There are too many side storylines jammed into 12 episodes that I feel some of them are not explored properly, leaving a half-baked feeling. The sabotaging female supporting character’s bit lasted a little long. The school nurse’s multiple storylines could use a little more screen time. They could cut down on the number of students they want to write a story for. Add to that is a love square, Romeo & Juliet-like romance and family rivalries, a financial investigation, and the golf course construction project. That’s a whole lot for a 12-episode drama.
Having said all that, the acting is good and I really like the teen storyline. I would not say “Love Your Enemy” is a must-see but it doesn’t hurt if you are a fan of Ju Jin Hoon (he’s funny, handsome and swoony), or want to discover the young talents of Oh Ye Ju and Hong Min Ki.

End 2024 with a Good RomCom
Its been a while since I have watched a good romcom.Lets start in reverse order
OST
the 12 episode series have 2 of the good romcom ost you will ever find, when watching i am very picky with OST, there are ok ones but these 2 is a good one, one by 10CM and one by Big Naughty
these 2 OST fits perfectly to the series and with these 2 tracks, it gives you vibe you want to fall in love in south korea again
CAST
the 2 main cast led the series, but what stands out is the chemistry between the 2 young leads
when was the last time, i guess monster back in 2006, where the 2 young leads have a strong chemistry
future is bright for this 2 young leads, can't wait to see more of them on future series
STORY
the story is a typical family disputes, however there is a twist, same name, grew up together, made a bet together, detiny pulls the 2 together, and lives happily ever after,
a simple story without over the top story twist, is a good approach with the right chemistry.
REWATCH
yes you will not get board in rewatching this series, specially if you are on marathon
Happy 2025 Everyone!!!

A Midlife Romcom That Feels Middle School
When you see the names "CJ ENM" and "Studio Dragon" flash across the screen in the opening credits, you know you’re in for a visual and technical treat. True to form, Love Your Enemy delivers on production quality, with polished cinematography and meticulous attention to detail. The music, too, is a standout, boasting contributions from some of the biggest names in the industry, making the OST a highlight of the drama. The series starts strong, peppered with laugh-out-loud moments that genuinely catch you off guard. The humor, especially in the early episodes, keeps the tone light and engaging. However, as the narrative unfolds, it becomes clear that Love Your Enemy is, at its core, a textbook romcom.
Unfortunately, the drama leans heavily on tired tropes. The depiction of characters—despite being in their 40s—sometimes feels juvenile, bordering on cringeworthy. The frequent reliance on the "adults acting like middle schoolers" cliché detracts from the emotional depth that one might expect from a series with mature protagonists.
Midway through, I found myself hoping for a pivot—a moment where the story would rise above its predictable beats and offer something refreshing or profound. Sadly, that moment never came. While it’s not a bad drama by any means, it fails to leave a lasting impression, playing it safe within the confines of its genre.
Love Your Enemy is an easy watch for those seeking light entertainment with high production values and catchy music. But for viewers craving depth or a fresh take on romance, it might feel like a missed opportunity.

loving this so far!
This is coming to be one of my favourites of 2024 (excluding Lovely Runner of course)It’s got all the best tropes: rival families, friends from birth, the share the same first name, constant bickering, secret romance, enemies to lovers (fingers crossed), missed connections, love triangles, romantic bets, etc.
the first episode was a bit confusing with all the family background, but you can understand the core rivalries.
So good! and I love the slow reveal of their past relationship. keep it coming!

Young Love vs Mature Love
The show captures the high school romance, beautifully between the leads and the new romance between two students of the same high school the leads met and fell in love. This was what kept the show going for me. It was appreciated that we got to see the chemistry of the young leads in every episode. The mature actors were good but didn't capture the passion and yearning like the younger version of themselves. However, mature love is different from infatuation. The last 2 episodes got my attention without the youth romance so the actors did pull it off nicely. Overall it was a good show. I hope we see the young pair in another show as the Main leads. Was this review helpful to you?

Haters to lovers to haters to lovers done well
10/10.I loved the ending.
I dislike the more usual rushed endings to some dramas where most of the last episode stuff is still happening and everything gets closed of the last ten minutes with a quick overview of where the characters are. Following the events of episode 11, I thought this would share a similar fate. But, the madness of the plot twist in episode 11 got wrapped up pretty quick **—** which I loved**—** and the rest of the episode was a slow wind down from the wedding prep to the second leads having their love fulfilled to the final scene were they finally met at the promised spot.
Dare I say, it was perfect.

My fave so far!
I love this drama-comedy. Good story. Makes me laugh. Hate waiting days between episodes. Ju Ji Hoon is spectacular. I’ve missed seeing him since Blood Free which I hope has a second season. The female lead has some comedic skills but she is not worthy of JJH; I have seen everything he has done. He has great range and I never get tired of him. More please! Was this review helpful to you?
