yah gitu deh

satu lagi drama seru di awal tp endingnya diringkes karna kejar deadline eps dikit kaya eek.

apalah, dr konflik keluarga yg tbtb keungkap dn sukses bikin emosi malah diceritain dlm kurung waktu 1jam + penyelesaiannya. dr si temen yg ada andil di rusaknya hubungan mereka pas kecil cuma ngaku sebagian dlm 5menit. point penting gimana mereka miskom + kjadian yg kdi "kacau", yg mreka lewatin (ya karna si TEMEN) malah ga dibahas samsek dan itu SUPER ANEH krna itu harusnya pentingggg bgttttttt

padahal gw udah siap bgt sambil ngebayangin scene mereka cerita kalo sebenernya saling nunggu, sebenernya noniok si cabil, sbenernya ini, sebenernya itu.

asw lah, bikin badmood, tolong kurang2in ngeringkes drakor yg udh bagus cuma krna ngejar embel2 eps dikittttt. pdhl klo ceritanya emg seru, eps banyak pun bakal byk yg nonton

yg cakep beneran cuma jiwon jiwon kecil sama jiwon jiwon besar

I'm currently in my depressed era and this adorable fluff is exactly what I needed for a good pick me up make me feel all gooey and warm inside! perfect amount of romance, sweetness, comedy, etc and little bit of drama without being overbearing. the acting was great, the facial expressions of the cast, especially the two main leads hade me absolutely cracking up and smiling 😂 the chemistry between them was perfect to me, made me all swoony! 🥰
great cast, great story, great acting, great ending 🥰

Didn’t meet my expectations and not enough romance

The first few eps were a bit annoying and too childish leads.

Useless love triangle (well always useless and annoying to me, but sometimes can make more sense. Here, zero point, both the leads still very much with each other), also the casting wasn’t good. SML looked way too young

Too much filler and time spend on side characters. I think we didn’t get enough scenes between the leads and romance throw the 12 eps. But yeah, I think with the damn ex-lover/childhooh trope, it’s not surprising. I think the things related to their families was important to the plot, but other things could have been cut and gave more screentime to the leads together.

I think the chemistry was decent and we still got some cute romanctic moments. It definitely became better to me when we reached half way. They looked good together. Didn’t see anything wrong with the acting

I liked grandpa and FL relationship. I just liked grandpa actually. Poor guy, felt so sad for him when we learned the betrayal of the guy he was calling son.

ML’s dad, he was annoying for a while, but everything worked out in the end. Reconciliation and they are all becoming a family. In the end, he didn’t really hate the grandpa, I saw it later on almost as 2 siblings rivalry or something

ML’s mom was a sweetheart. Actually kind and sweet woman, don’t know how she’s tolerating her husband😂😂

I liked how the leads got together relatively early and no breakup.

The younger version and the flashbacks, they did really good with the back story and the younger cast. Surprisingly, I loved the flashbacks. My heart broke for them. They love each other a lot, at last they found each other again

The friend didn’t deserved forgiveness at all, didn’t like how they went with this plot line. And they give an open ending with a potential love interest at the very end with the knew guy…. Like no.

All the mystery with the nurse and student was mostly nonsense and could have been written out. The couple with the other teacher though, kinda cute, but we didn’t really get anything

The 2 students, it was like a mirror, a throw back of the leads. A bit similar story and their ending déjà vu ahaha very short moments, but also kinda cute, I would have wanted more of that instead of other subplot

Disappointed with didn’t get a wedding (just some wedding photoshoot). But gave a funny moment, that was a real romcom moment😂😂 also, the wedding dress was horrible. I would like to know who chose the wardrobe of FL for the drama

Happy ending. Last ep was decent. Was more on the leads I would say and close up for side plot.

Ost was very good, I need it on Spotify ahaha

Anyway, I think it was an okay romcom to pass time and enjoyable in general. I think it got better as we progressed. Found it better than some other romcom this year that ended up disappointing me (like My sweet mobster, Miss day and night or no gain no love)

The story is the highlight

A story inspired by Romeo and Juliet a bit, it is easy to draw you in. The show has prons and cons. I liked more the younger version of the couple and their scenes than the older one. The younger couple had a lot more chemistry and I wished they altered the story and stuck with those actors. The comedy felt lukewarm. Overall, the show could have been better, but still it is a nice enough watch.

Another good show falls into a sinkhole towards the end. The show has a good start and a very promising story, but it plummets suddenly. The story is about two sworn enemy secretly fall in love with each other. I feel the story is going to be dragging and full of tense, but apparently the story is very funny and lightweight. Chemistry between Ju Ji Hoon and Jung Yu Mi is very good, but somehow I feel the chemistry between young Ji Wons (Oh Ye Ju and Hong Min Ki) is more incredible! I thought the feud between the Ji Wons was going to be evil but it's actually very funny instead.

Unfortunately the vibe switches extremely after episode 10. The comedy fades and it becomes more dark. I don't understand why the writer decided to add more than one(!) malicious premises. It should be enough with the corruption premise and Cha Ji Hye act is quite unnecessary. I don't understand what makes her qualify as SFL, Maeng Su Ah deserves this title better. Kim Hye Won also fails to build a strong character on her. The return of the sexual offender also makes the story more ridiculous.

At the end of the day, it's still a good show to enjoy, especially when you are looking for a lightweight and funny romcom.

Enjoyed but lacked passion

This was interesting. It was an enjoyable watch. I had a good time for most of it. The last couple of episodes dragged a bit for me so I was glad it was a 12 episode and not 16 episode show.
The reason I wanted to write a review is because of an issue I didn't fully notice I had until the last few episodes. The couple's chemistry was dry and lacked much passion. And that seemed to be a directorial decision and not because the actors lacked chemistry. I could literally see the potential for it in what the actors were given to work with but they were given so little! These actors are also 40 years old, playing characters in their mid 30's, so I could not understand why they were so romantically stiff. Far more than their teenage counterparts. I don't understand the directors choice.
Another point of issue, is how drabby they made the FL. And how stiff they made the ML. In the beginning, I understood her wardrobe as a manifestation of the aftermath of what had come of her life (avoiding spoilers) and his wardrobe to represent the "coldness" he was approaching the situation. But overtime, her look did become less PE teacher night and day into something more aged and boring. It did her zero justice. And ML couldn't even tone down to a more casual look. I was suffocating on the tightness of his ties.
This show could have been imbued with more passion between the leads, more recognition of the Adult relationship they developed and I think that would have been useful. But it was still a good show and I had a good time watching it.

Funnier than expected

Summary: This drama was funnier than expected and left very little loose ends (side notes below), which I appreciate. The storyline got deep in the middle of the series about their past and the plot twists were interesting. The one thing that threw me off was the unnatural facial expressions the female lead made toward the male lead which took away from the romance in certain scenes. The cinematography was well done with different angles of perspectives or blending of locations/times. The last episode dragged on a little but the ending was really sweet. ^_^ Certainly worth a re-watch.

Details: At first, I was hesitant to watch this show because the beginning just seemed like every other hero-in-disguise male lead and doormat female lead scenario I’ve seen previously. However, the series had me rolling at stuff like the thunder/lightning scene or situations warranting matching sweatsuits. Lol. Yoon Ji Won’s reaction to seeing Seok Ji for the first time after 18 years is the best (not expected at all), including the scene of them flipping each other off covered by cartoons! XD

Another thing that was amusing was that the writers parodied typical romance formulas in which one lead falls into the other’s arms as they stare passionately into each other’s eyes. “Writers should think deeply!... They don’t look at each other [in real life], they just get hurt,” then a hilarious martial arts spin to embrace, followed by a surprised gaze. XD

I love that they added a backstory to the leads (and their families) that explains how they ended up where they were and felt like the younger versions of the leads could have been a whole drama by itself. It also explained why Yoon Ji Won became a shell of herself later, always getting picked on to organize events, run errands, stay late to talk with parent, etc. I like that Seok Ji Won’s mom was so supportive when needed.

Some things I found annoying were the plot twist with the 2nd female lead (but I suppose was necessary to explain what kept the leads apart for so long); how Mr. Byeon couldn’t just stay out of people’s business and embarrassed the crap out of the leads; and Yoon Ji Won’s weird deer-in-the headlights look along with some unnatural facial expressions (eye popping, eyebrow raising, heading teetering, etc.) that made scenes unromantic to me. I do wish one of the villains (a student’s parent) got more than just a smacking but you can’t have everything be perfect on every show.

Overall, I really enjoyed this unique drama.

Side Notes:
- If Seok Ji Won was always there watching and protecting, why didn’t he ever go up to Yoon JI Won? Why didn’t he just go to her house if he wasn’t getting responses through text, or send a snail mail letter? And when Yoon Ji Won later found out the truth about the phone situation, why didn’t she talk to him about it?
- There’s not much explanation as to what exactly happened with Seok Ji Won AFTER the hospital incident. Supposedly, his dad sent him out of the country but that’s never really elaborated on. I wish there was more backstory on that part.
- Knowing how intrusive Mr. Byeon was, why would Seok Ji Won willingly give away his address to him? Is that standard etiquette in Korea, to give out personal information readily to a near stranger like that?
- Can people really pass out from one drink, and have selective tolerance to different types of alcohols?

I enjoyed watching this

The acting was great, ju ji hoon is the reason I watched it and I've not been disappointed, all the actors did great too, both young and older versions of them had chemistry and I think they did a great job in creating connection between their younger/older selves. ost was great, I loved the small reference to Princess Hours, I liked that they didn't turn plot into some weird mess, so I'd say this is one nice drama

young jiwons were perfect

this has been said many, many times before but the teenage jiwons??? absolutely amazing. i adore them so so much. the drama is 12 episodes long but i wish we had 4 episodes more just dedicated to the younger versions and their high school days and after. the flashbacks we got were not enough and the young actors really deserved more screen time. i would have preferred them over the weird dynamic with the second couple. it’s such a shame because i spent most of the drama skipping their scenes and hoping to get more flashbacks to the younger jiwons.

the older versions were not bad perse and while the actor playing the ML was okay, the actress for FL was a questionable choice for me. it could be because of the chemistry or the simple fact that the older versions were not interesting enough compared to the younger ones. the reunion i liked well enough and i did love the moments when you could see how much the ML still adored the FL but the storyline in present day was just bland. their past was a lot more fun to explore and i honestly just loved the hospital scenes. i wanted to stay in that time and get to know the characters there. present jiwons did not hold a candle to it and i was always disappointed when the flashbacks ended.

the nurse story was interesting enough i suppose but not something i cared overly about in the end because there just wasn’t enough information about it. the second couple were mostly dull and stole screen time that could have been used better - the same for the best friend with the love triangle and how that conclusion came??? well at least she came to her senses and was helpful i suppose.
the present students or i guess “the next gen” were not very necessary in my eyes?? i can see they were trying to recreate the jiwon teenage dynamic with two of the students and i can both appreciate and hate it because again??? could have used that time to show more flashbacks instead. i’m very bitter about this.

so. rating this 8/10 simply because the young actors who played both jiwons deserve this number and overall it was not a bad drama, but if we had those extra episodes or at least more flashbacks, i might have enjoyed this a lot more. blame it on the casting or writing, i just want to see the young jiwons again.

Unforgattable chemistry teen Ji-wons

This drama is quite light and enjoyable, just as expected from a rom-com. The main actors are very famous, and their performances were great. However, what really caught my attention were the teenage versions of the main characters Seok Ji-won (played by Hong Min Ki) and Yoon Ji-won (played by Oh Ye Ju).

Their visuals are, of course, stunning, but what stood out the most was their amazing chemistry. They played their roles so well, perfectly following the storyline. From being enemies to slowly falling in love, their relationship felt so real. During their dating phase, they looked truly happy, just like a real couple in love. Then, as misunderstandings started to grow, they drifted apart and experienced deep pain. Every emotion—happiness, love, heartbreak, and sadness—was delivered so naturally that I could really feel it as a viewer.

Honestly, rom-coms like this work best in a teenage setting, where emotions are intense, and love feels so strong.
Last but not least, I really hope these two "teen Ji-wons" will reunite in another project as lead actors in the future. To be honest, they are the reason I still can’t move on from this story.

Overall, this drama was super fun to watch!

Good Enough

Korean Drama '' Love Your Enemy '' is a romantic comedy about misunderstandings and second chances.

The drama has a weak first half that tries to make a successful love triangle, and fails to do so, tries to be funny, but ends up being cheesy, and tries to create tension between the two main characters, but they end up making them annoying.

And yet, the second half was great, funny enough, sweet enough, and romantic enough. The family drama was enjoyable, the mood was light, and the past story, which was what shone in the first half, had a smooth conclusion in the end.

The performances were, in addition, great by everyone in the cast.

So, overall, six out of ten.
