Such a Beautiful Tragedy

The very first Dai Gao Zheng's drama which I watch, and my reunion to meet Guan Yue and Hu Yi Yao. I'm satisfied.

Story,
The plot serve the various type of relationship. the very first we can watch the violence-obsesive-yet- yearning plot between ML and FL played by Dai Gao Zheng and Hu Yi Yao.Then we can watch the heart-warming father-daughter from FL (He An Ran), yet contrats by the Godfather-son relationship from ML (Helian Zheng/He Zheng).
We also can witness the beautiful-yet-ended-in-tragedy brotherhood between Helian Zheng and Mo Yu Tang (played by Guan Yue). And the loyal-and faithfull relationship between A-Tang and his maid, Rong Yin (played by Zhao Xing Hui).
Honestly, republican dramas are not my cup of tea. But foe some reason, I decided to watch this as I read the name of the Lead. Thank God, my midnight whimp to watch this drama actually worth. Such a nice story from the fight scene till emotional scene.
Its simple yet intriguing story.
Some people find this kind of story is nonsense or immoral. But I think I got different impression. At least I can enjoyed the story from the start until finished.
But for some scenes maybe triggering for some people.

Acting/Casting,
I watched Guan Yue and Hu Yi Yao drama before, and I enjoyed their acting. But this is my first Dai Gao Zheng's drama.
I got a lot expectation for all of the lead. especially Dai Gao Zheng. Because I heard a lot of CDrama fans praised him for his skill as an actor. And this drama proved it.
Such an experience to watch his acting. Even I cannot take my eyes from him. The eyes, thw gesture, the little expression, even a little part of him such as his hair or his attire compliment his demeanor as a great general beautifully.
Now Im in love with him, what should I do? T,T
As for Guan Yue, he's amazed me by his Mo Yu Tang. He is perfectly made for this character. Thank you for the casting team to find such an amazing actor to play a morally grey yet beautiful character like A-Tang.
Hu Yi Yao even don give me such awe impression, she's already good at potraying He An Ran Character. She radiates an elegant-heart warming-kind of lady from aristocrate family.

Music,
For me their muaic is good but not good enough to made and impression for me. But I agree that the soundtrack placed-wise and matches perfectly with the scene.

Un'opera che non posso che definire "terribile", dopo aver vagliato una serie di aggettivi sinonimi anche peggiori. Il mio subconscio deve essere un po' autolesionista per avermi condotta, a pochi giorni da un'altro drama che includerei nella stessa categoria, a una visione - se possibile - ancora più agghiacciante.
Abbiamo un lui, orfano di padre e con un trascorso povero e difficile, che incontra lei per via del matrimonio tra i rispettivi genitori. Sboccia l'amore poi subentra l'evento tragico che li allontana, con lui che fraintende in pieno le motivazioni di lei. Si ritrovano anni dopo, lui ora un uomo di potere e successo in cerca di vendetta, ma in realtà ancora innamorato della donna che - per punizione - costringe a un matrimonio forzato.
Il succo, sostanzialmente, è questo. Niente di nuovo e, se vogliamo, anche piuttosto misera come idea. Nel concreto è ai limiti dell'inguardabile.
L'attrice protagonista pessima e poco espressiva, perennemente in balia degli eventi.
Lui a dir poco agghiacciante: l'attore - esteticamente piacevole ma che manca di carisma e di un vero fascino - viene immortalato da tutte le possibili angolazioni ad effetto, manco fossimo davanti a una celebrità sul red carpet. Il personaggio interpretato è davvero malsano: aggressivo nei confronti della protagonista, verso la quale sfoggia un'irruenza che definirei più violenza che passione, alterna espressioni che vorrebbero essere di fredda crudeltà a sguardi affranti dagli occhi lucidi. Il matrimonio forzato non sta in piedi, il suo continuo sottolineare quanto sia volutamente inappropriato in quanto fratellastri (non consanguinei) lo fa suonare ancora più morboso di quello che sarebbe altrimenti. La storia si trascina in modo banale, le grandi motivazioni che vengono addotte non hanno di fatto alcuna fondamenta, i cattivi ci manca poco che si mettano un cartello sulla testa con scritto "ehi, sono io il cattivo!", tanto per far capire quanto davvero non ci sia coerenza tra il detto e il fatto.
Un prodotto che manca davvero della qualità minima, con un cast mediocre (del resto non basta un bel faccino per essere un bravo interprete e il fatto che l'attore protagonista sforni una media di sei o sette drama all'anno - che, per quanto corti siano gli episodi, se sommati raggiungono comunque una durata non indifferente - la dice lunga su come la quantità venga nettamente preferita alla qualità).
