Douglas Adams rotates in his grave....
The answer of this "BL" is not 42. For me it's a very generous 3 :)First, the over-acting and the "cat" actors are neither cute nor good. It's just hardcore cringe. How someone can give this a 10 is beyond me... It has no substance, no develeopment AND most importantly there is no real romance involved. It's a Bromance and the real thing the main character loves is the food. The production itself is ok, but it's very low budget even for Thai standards. The best of this series are the BTS in the credits.
If I had not a migraine yesterday it can get you one... Overall, if you like BLs avoid it, it's not worth your time.

comedy that works sometimes (watch suggestions)
Overall: wish it would have focused more on romantic/sweet moments of the main couple as I did not find the side plots interesting. The series is based on a book which I haven't read and I'm reviewing the series based on its own merits. 8 episodes about 50 min each. Aired here https://www.oned.net/video/6369378014112 with English subtitles.Content Warning: mental health struggles
Watch Suggestions (to focus on the m/m relationship and if the humor isn't your style)
- episode 1 watch 15-33
- episode 2 watch beginning-9:40, 12-14, 37-end
- episode 3 watch 5-9:30, 12-15, 36-end
- episode 4 watch 13-16:30, 18:15-21:45, 32-end
- episode 5 watch 9:50-12:30 and 35:20-end
- episode 6 watch 23:30-25:30
- episode 7 watch 30:30-35:50
- episode 8 watch 17:30-20:30, 25-29 and 40-end
What I Liked
- the entrance of one character was funny and I chuckled a couple of times
- different premise for a BL series
- the grandpa
Room For Improvement
- a character repeatedly called the other character 'bestie'
- what's with the random kid that keeps hitting him/running into him
- could have started the 1st episode at 15 minutes and not miss anything
- wasn't into the side plots with the stylist/barista and the cats, the guy was a jerk in episode 4 so even his plot line with his grandpa didn't pull at my heartstrings as it should have)
- nonsense that they wouldn't send their best after multiple failed attempts

It's cute, maybe not for everyone
It doesn't really contain much bl but I like it because the series was funny, the characters are likeable, and nobody was annoying. I watch a lot of comedic bl series this one wasn't the best but it was really cute, I really love Chun and all the other aliens. I would also say this bl is a really good time waster, if you're not looking for anything serious to watch just watch this.Final thoughts:
This didn't disappoint me, I got exactly what I expected to get

Weird, Funny, Then Fell From Earth
Honestly, I do not know WHAT this series was. It is just weird and completely off-the-rails. Had they continued with its original thread, which I think was humor (tongue-in-cheek specifically), then this would have been an outstanding if not memorable series. Instead, it lost its way towards the end as if it was not sure how it wanted to conclude. At that point, it ruined its tenacity and mojo, and it fell from Earth. The production of this series is so unique and different that words are hard to describe it. Where it unraveled is that it tried to do too much and so your attention could not focus on any one thing. Not for everyone but quite good for me
'Last Meal Universe' is a fluffy and cute story! I’m already liking them, Shun, the awkward alien engineer who’s supposed to blow up Earth but gets sidetracked by Chondan drool-worthy Thai cooking😋They have a nice chemistry with funny and romance, The whole vibe is so playful and bizarre, with Shun’s deadpan "I must destroy this planet… but first, lunch" The food looks so tempting 😋 I heard about Thailand food and always wanted to watch something food related. That slow guy in ep 2 was so damn funny and Mr. Peter is dead 🤣 my stomach hurts from laughing ,what I love most, though, is how it celebrates food as a love language—every dish feels like a character in itself.I love it's OST feel good to listen 😍I’m hooked and can’t wait to see how it wraps up!"The chemistry btw them is quite good,it's fluffy and lighthearted but people who like mature BL can skip this bcoz it's not for them,I will not be surprised if it has no kissing scene

Get Rid Of The Female Support Character
This show isn't anything amazing, but it is a cute enough watch. The main actor plays his naive character well, the main couple have they're cute moments, and the male support character even has his emotional scenes. But, like the title of the review says, get rid of the female support character. She adds nothing to the story except annoyance.I cannot believe the central threat of the show, the destruction of the earth, was solved by her incompetence. I was really hoping the writers were going for something like, the chef's grandmother (since they focused a lot on her in one episode) so was an Atlantean who married a human so he had a claim to deny the construction plans. But, it's just, the fsc trips and spills coffee on the world-ending device and that's somehow okay?? Write her out of the story and write a better ending.

Watered down BL
I don't know the source material for this. But this is a very disappointing BL series. If this was marketed as Bromance, maybe I'll accept it. But having no romantic Tension at all until the very last Episode? Even KBL that are known as very conservative, can do better than this..
Lets start with the story. Well its an intriguing Mess. I don't know wether i should considered this as a stupidly funny, or just straight up "huh?" level stupid. There's too many dispensable character. Dim and the old man, while they may convey a subtle messaged for Shun that people in this planet matters to. But I can't help but to skip some of their scene.
The Cat turn human was an okay addition. Its a comedic relief for certain times. And then there's Tan. She could be a very compelling arc with Dim. Instead of friend to enemy, they could turn from Friend to lovers. Bridge by the coffee.
The main story, was meh. It was too slow to build up. And it just went full on Tesla mode at the last Episode. Feel rushed at best, missing a whole Ep worth of build up at worst. There's too many filler that didn't have any impact to the overall story. Well, cause its just a filler. Gave us more content and build up!
And then to main couple. Which, I'm not sure if I can call them a couple at all. Its, a mess. Gun acting was actually good. I can't help but to feel sad every time he made that longing look on his eyes. Those tear-y eyes? Bro, he was born to cry. 😭 Every gaze, every scolding, just everything... He is a really good Actor. I mean, the works that he's done so far speak for itself.
Ritz? Im So Sorry man. Your comedic act, was okay. Your cry scene? I can't feel anything. It reminds me of Sarawat 😭 It was that bad. And your kiss? You've done nothing in the kissing scene 😒
So overall, it was an additional to my "Watch it then forgwt about it" shelf. Will i recommend this? Maybe not. Am i gonna rewatch this? Only if i have nothing to watch, and probably skip to the last EP.
As for Gun, this is for you. If you're serious about diving into the BL world, please find a better studio. Domundi, BOC, or at least GMM. You are a talented actor. And those Kiss you gave for Ritz, uh hum... That looks promising. 😚

A solid 6 for effort
Cons:Lose the cat subplot, neither cute nor relevant (unless they were the previous visitors who failed to fullfill their mission)
Lose the degenerative disease sub plot, didn't really fit in with the comedy aspect of the show
Lose the sudden appearance of the chefs 'best'? friend who appeared in the 2nd to last episode for apparently no reason (I was fast forwarding by that point so possibly missed it)
Lose the character with the reeeaaaallly slow speech impediment, just totally cringe and NOT funny
Hair stylist and coffee girl could have been given a more interesting hate to love plot and drop his 'uncle' sub plot
The writer obviously read Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy
Pro's:
The 2 main leads had great chemistry, chef had the greatest smile, liked his gran talking to him when making the tea
Appreciated the off beat scifi story and open ending and terrible effects (I love old 50's scifi movies so)...
Conclusion: Would make a great 2 hour fanedit movie

At The Most, This Can Be Called A Bromance!!
I am a little confused about how to explain this series. I was excited for an exhilarating ride in a Sci-Fi BL series, but what we got was more of a bromance; until the very end, when we got to see something intimate, only, coupled with the fictional elements. I would have preferred it if it had focused on that more. I do find Shun’s character cute. I mean, he comes to earth with a devil plan to destroy Earth, but ends up postponing it because he gets to taste food that probably tastes like heaven. Now, his entry was very chaotic, and so was his first meeting with Chodan, and instantly, he is inside the cafe, eating food. This is adorable yet weird, and feels rushed, but I understand the inconsistency, since the show is only a mini-series of 8 episodes.Read the complete article here-

Não Espere Muito, É uma série cansativa!
Onde estava o diretor dessa série durante a gravação?
