Honestly, I loved Wonderfools.
Taking that chaotic 1999 Y2K vibe, baggy clothes, retro tech, and the fear of the world ending and giving powers to a group of complete misfits is just so much fun. They aren't polished superheroes; they’re awkward, messy underdogs who have no idea what they’re doing. It’s funny, visually awesome, and super nostalgic, but beneath all the chaos, it’s really just a sweet story about outcasts finding their people.Was this review helpful to you?
Overrated and ove the top
Yet another overrated drama, in my opinion.The production values are solid, and the acting is decent. Eun Woo has clearly been working on his craft—his improvement is noticeable and appreciated. The premise is intriguing, and I was genuinely drawn in during the early episodes.
However, Chae Ni's character completely ruined the experience for me. She had her funny moments, but her behaviour was so exaggerated and loud that I ended up skipping large portions of her scenes—and her friends' scenes too. I couldn't take another round of shouting. A little restraint in characterisation would have gone a long way.
The superhero concept felt fresh at first, but ultimately, the drama didn't offer anything particularly memorable. I struggled to connect with most of the cast. For me Jeong—was the only likeable character as he felt grounded and human, a stark contrast to everyone else around him.
Verdict: Solid production and a promising start, but let down by exaggerated characters and a forgettable execution. Worth a look if you're curious about the cast, but don't expect to be blown away.

finnaly a good drama !!
finally a good superhero drama after cashhero that i didn’t like this one is very good once you pass the third episode it’s gonna be super entertaining and I really like the story the the effect the character, the actor everything was amazing and I have to see the first superhero K drama that I really enjoy. fools with honor!!
For me, the acting is pure comedy style. Ahn Eun-jin, Choi Dae-hoon, and Yook Sung-jae performed their characters flawlessly. Their comic timing is spot on, and nothing feels forced or cringy—I just loved watching them.The luring evil in the background was also handled like an absolute pro. The overall vibe really reminded me of the movie Kick-Ass. However, this is definitely not a cheap copy-paste job. This series completely stands on its own as a wonderful comedy!

superbe drama ! Les acteurs sont génial, la musique est cool, le scénario est excellent! de très bons passages drôle, des pouvoirs rigolos, une bonne fin ! c’est vraiment à voir et à revoir.if you have doubts, just past the first episode and hang on ! its a very good super hero drama. so unexpected, so enjoyable and funny ! the cast is perfect, the soundtrack is good.

I rarely leave reviews but wow I just loved this. This had everything for me, Incredible casting, lovable characters, genuinely badass superheroes, epic fight scenes, swoonworthy leads, and just an overall great vibe. I audibly laughed throughout the entire thing while simultaneously gripping my seat, kicking my feet and shedding a tear. Also just a great premise, we’ve seen superheroes before but Just WOW The Wonderfools really stands out against the backdrop of repetive netflix kdramas right now. I don’t want to overhype it too much just give it a try if your questioning it. xtra bonus.. Park Eun-bin and Cha Eun-woo 😍Dear god PLEASE give us a season 2!!! ⭐ The Wonderfools ReviewThis is my first time rating a K-drama I’ve watched, and I can say that this is such a comforting drama. I really recommend this if you’re into rom-coms and slow-burn romance. The chemistry between the two leads is seriously amazing
I’m definitely looking forward to Season 2. This is exactly the type of K-drama I love funny, comforting, and heartwarming at the same time.

Super hero comedy of the year
Ep 1 took me a while to finish, but I'm glad I picked it back up bc I finished it in one sitting.The chemistry between the four was so fun to watch. The ride or die friend, the one friend who complains all the time but still shows up when needed, and with a dash of romance is just the way I like it. There were some scenes that got me laughing so hard that I had to pause to get it out of my system.
The storyline isn't anything new. If you've watched one super hero themed show, you've watched them all. But don't get me wrong, I enjoyed this drama and would recommend to people who enjoy watching this genre.
Overall, fun watch but there were some questions that still need to be answered. Maybe in s2?

Simply wow
Easily the best K-drama of 2026. It's the perfect combination of comedy and action. Beautifully blending serious drama with some of the most laugh out loud moments you will see in a show. It's like if Stranger Things and Guardians of the Galaxy had a child.Park Eun-bin I have to give all my praise to her because she is one of the few actors that can really get into a role. She doesn't seem concerned whether she looks good or not. It's very refreshing.

From the opening episode, the drama immediately captures attention with its cool late 90s atmosphere. They opened it with banger song by Radiohead?!! I was sold.
The homage to Guardians of the Galaxy was a fun surprise. The CGI effects are on par with many Hollywood productions and never feel out of place IMO. It can feel dark at times but it pulls you back to comedy. It's just unserious lol!
The acting chemistry between the cast was great as well, plus Chaeni and her grandma.
Park Eunbin, the master in acting, I don't even need to elaborate. It's no longer surprising. I just watched her in awe. She was so nimble switching from comedy to melo drama and she takes me with her with those emotional change outs. Her body acting was so GREAT as well, her teleporation and the lifeless body acting was so good it was creepy.
Cha Eunwoo played the stoic character well. His acting complimented with the highly energetic trio. Director Yoo Insik is known for bringing out the best of his actors regardless of skill level. And I see it here, CEW went from weak (previous works) to decent acting, although his tone is still kinda of flat. He needs to work on that next.
It's not a perfect drama, it definitely has its flaws but the good stuffs in it outweighed the flaws so I only want to highlight things that I like about it.

The Most Enjoyable the Drama in the first half of 2026
This drama is fun and unserious. It's a slapstick but will still leave you with a warm and fuzzy feeling afterwards.I have a lot of favorite scenes but I don't wanna give any spoiler here (to anyone who hasn't seen it). The story flow has a bit of slow down, specially the part when they were figuring out how to use their superpowers. There were a lot of lengthy dialogues but once past that you're in for a ride.
The chemistry between the superheroes are undeniably palpable. These are actors handpicked by the director so he knows exactly who will suit each character. Park Eunbin is as always phenomenal. She has great comedic timing and can deliver an emotional acting exceptionally well. Cha Eunwoo, though not on par with Park Eunbin in acting skill, held his own. The other two delivered their characters well too, specially Im Sungjae.
Overall, this drama is fun watch, nothing too profund. Just relax, bring out the snacks, and enjoy the ride from start to finish.
