Best Action Movie for The Past Few Years

People, go to cinema right now and watch this show!

✅ Incredible action scenes, every fighting scenes literally keep me on edges!!! If this wasn't chinese movie, this would hit 9 or more 😔 They deserve more for this aspect alone.
✅ The wolf gang are visual feast lmao. I think the godfather pick them up by visual 😂
✅ Main villain is so charismatic and brutal.
✅ No need to question all acting, Jackie Chan? Tony Leung Ka Fai? They are the top one.

The story alone is actually the usual catch the criminal type of movie, what made it more special is the action scenes. I want to rewatch just to appreciate the action choreography alone, parkour, the gunfight, close combat, all type of martial arts, especially the opening, that was magical 😫 China, let's go back to your root and release more action moviess!! I want my childhood memories back, especially kungfu theme 😔

That was just no it

Was very excited for this movie! I mean it’s Jackie Chan! The hype was definitely for him and his legendary action scenes, and mind you but he is 78 years old now! Wow! What a man! What an actor. Now… I’ve seen a lot of great reviews simply cause Jackie chan is in the movies or other young trendy actors … it’s just not enough to rate a movie. And in my opinion, that movie wasn’t good enough. The story had a lot of holes like when the young officer arrested the villain in one move but couldn’t fight him few moments before to save Jackie Chan…. Also the twin stories and this 7th character when in the car (SWAT team scene) they’re 6 in the car….
Now, what about the action? The fight scenes were great but the way they were filmed and with the slow motion sound plus drum at the impact made them lowkey seem less powerful than what they could have been ….

To conclude, Jackie chan & actors did an amazing job b it the story isn’t it, lacks in so many ways, and the fights scenes could have been better. It’s an entertaining movie, but definitely not the best action movie out there and far from being the best Jackie Chan movie

Best Movie of 2025: The Shadow’s Edge

I will be rewatching this in theatre and then buying it to rewatch a million times over when it’s available!!

The acting, the storyline from start to finish—a true masterpiece. This has to be the Best Movie of 2025 for me, and I don’t usually rate things very highly! This also has to be my new favourite movie. I don’t usually have a favourite but this one has left me wanting more, in a positive way, to the point of getting every family member, friends and colleagues to watch also! I cannot wait to see more from ‘The Shadow’s Edge’ cast and production.

I definitely recommend watching—I will be!

Left yearning for more.

This was a good movie that deserves a sequel,because the 2 hour plus minutes was not enough to wrap up everything near and tight.The action scenes were superb,apart from the mission of figuring and capturing Shadow.I got lost as to what the robbers were upto after breaking into the command center.First things first,it was great to see the veterans in it and carrying their weight and owning their characters.Despite mentions of their history a sequel showing the past would really give depth to their characters.How Jackie was an ace during his time and lost his partner then watched the family behind the shadows.Also the past of Shadow and how he moulded his adoptive sons.
Personally i did not like her character, granted she was being looked down upon because she was a woman and had to prove her self but we never got to see her happy.I did not understand why we were shown she was heartbroken when the guy died all the while it seemed like it was a one-sided crush,and it was the guy who had a crush on her.
The robbery crew need also screen time of how they were trained by Shadow.
Last and not least the post credit scene does indeed give hopes to a sequel.

Great movie!

I’m speaking from the perspective of someone who doesn’t watch action movies a lot. To be honest, I watched this for Jun and I know how much screen time he has. But I still enjoyed the whole movie because the story was intriguing and I liked the characters, even the villains. In fact, I was rooting for them. Haha. Yes, they were a very good looking set of villains but their characters were also lovable.

I know Jackie Chan and Tony Leung are veteran actors but I want to shout out that Ci Sha is really amazing in this one! The way he portrayed two characters so differently, I didn’t even realize they’re the same actor. Haha. And I’m really proud of Jun too. 🥹🫶🏻

I know this movie did so well in China and it’s well deserved.

Long awaited and It's worth it.

That felt like, after a long time i just watched a good movie and enjoyed it whole. Thia movie was merely for jackie chen but I'm surprised seeing the cast. I specially love action movies and that's another reason i tried it.

Overall i am satisfied with it. Waiting for second part. Now Let's talk about why you should try it out and why not.

So it has beautifully captured Fight Choreography ✅
A strong and well written story which you Won't be bored ✅
Most importantly if you are a Jackie fan then you must.


And why not to try it out? I Don't know. For me it was a well spend time. I loved it and wanna watch Again.

Still offers something new after all these years of watching action movies

I was in a joyless mood and looking for something cool without requiring thought: if I would guess a team coming together, some training, gadgets, the usual spy fantasy, under a great mentor. While the intention was cognitive suspension, I suddenly found myself sitting up just to properly watch The Shadow.

I also assumed my interest was primarily for Jackie Chan, but the title turned out to be surprisingly accurate. The Shadow really is the point: unnerving, intriguing. The story itself is as straightforward as it gets and can feel predictable, but the action alone justifies the experience. There aren't many movies now that I imagine would be enjoyable in a theater, and in this economy? This one leaves a sense of longing for the big screen.
