Fun Watch, Bad Writing
Was this series easy to watch and have great chemistry? Yes. Was the writing good and did I like the characters? No.This series was really entertaining if you just turn off your brain and watch without thinking much but the second you sit down with it, you realize how toxic many parts of this was.
I hate most of the time when people say stuff like this, but if Pat was a man she would have been the villain of the story because she was SOOO TOXIC and OBSESSIVE to an unhealthy level. Her character was one of the main flaws of this series but somehow I still rooted for her? So maybe that's an issue on my part lmao.
Pat was also horrible with boundaries and some of her advances came off very creepy and bordered on SA. I also don't understand why GL series still have characters kissing the other when the other is almost black-out drunk, it's 2025, we can do better.
You also couldn't pay me to care about any of the side characters, especially Nam. I was so close to dropping this series at one point because Nam wouldn't leave Pat & Prem alone and it was just getting repetitive and annoying.
However, I would recommend watching this series to most GL watchers just because of how entertaining it was. Despite my complaints, I was sat every week for this mess and I feel like this would be a very easy binge. Also the leads had great chemistry and I hope to see them in a future series with better writing.

It only works because it's a "GL". If Pat were a man, it would be a horror series hahaha
In real life, Pat would be a stalker... but in the series, she is the GLs' most beloved red flag! Pat goes to great lengths to win Prem over, even though Prem claims she's straight! Of course, we have to keep in mind that this is a TV series, not real life, because if it were real life, Pat would already be arrested for numerous crimes, hahaha... It's unbelievable how she stops at nothing when it comes to winning over the love of her life. She's capable of anything, even if what she's doing is considered stalking... The fine line between romance and crime is definitely Pat, hahaha. Everyone is calling her a "red flag," but at the same time, they're IN LOVE with her because Pat has so much charisma, has the attitude of a villain, is elegant, beautiful, confident, courageous, and isn't afraid to show what she wants and go after it. But as soon as Prem gets sad, sick, or fragile, Pat will do anything to cheer her wife up and make her happy.I need to praise Pam. What a great villain! For me, a good villain is one that makes you angry, that makes you hate her. A villain who doesn't make you feel anything is worthless. Pam made me so angry throughout the series that I suddenly found myself watching it while grinding my teeth. Pam is hateful and cunning, and the actress deserves high praise for that. Congratulations.

Amazing Chemistry and Heartfelt Storyline!
I absolutely love the main leads — their acting, chemistry, and the way they bring the story to life is truly commendable. From the very first episode, they managed to capture my attention and make me emotionally invested in their journey. The way they portray their characters feels so genuine and natural that it’s easy to forget they’re acting. Their expressions, dialogue delivery, and subtle gestures perfectly complement each other, making every scene between them feel heartfelt and meaningful. The story is engaging and emotional, keeping me hooked every week. I wait for each new episode with excitement and truly hope both leads get the recognition they deserve. With love 🤍

Fun to watch
I'm not going to lie, I had fun watching this series, despite the many questionable and problematic behaviors from Pat towards Prem. But the series is interesting where it talks about the parental pressure Prem faces from her parents. She really did everything to satisfy them, but they never were. They did everything to make her suffer, and I really wish they had been made to pay for it because it was truly emotional torture. But there you have it, I recommend the series. The acting is solid and the plot is crazy and entertaining.

My favorite GL series of this year
I really like their chemistry together. They literally have their Work Shop week before the main shooting, still they have immense chemistry together. Also they are pretty good actress even though it's their first series. Overall the series is pretty decent. Only thing I don't like is that parents redemption arc. Otherwise it's really a good series. Was this review helpful to you?
Undeniable Chemistry - Standout GL of the year!
Poisonous Love is THE Thai GL series, and the heart of it lies in Ginny (Prem) and Jayna (Pat). Their chemistry on and off screen is undeniable. Their expressions, subtle glances, and body language carry a tension that keeps you hooked. The series does a great job of showing how their conflicting personalities push and pull at each other. That said, it’s not without its issues.
Pat is a little stalkerish, a definite red flag and crosses lines that in the real world would be unacceptable, a complete deal-breaker. While the series frames it as romantic tension, all those chaotic traits somehow turn her into the perfect villain. It can feel uncomfortable at times if you view her actions through a realistic lens. She’s unpredictable, obsessive, and impossible to ignore, which is exactly what makes her such a magnetic force in the series. Pat is the kind of character you shouldn’t root for… but you do anyway.
Prem is the perfect daughter—disciplined, accomplished, and everything her family could ever hope for. She’s a heart surgeon with her life neatly mapped out, ready to get married and settle down. But most importantly, she’s straight as an arrow… or so she claims. But that arrow starts bending real fast the second Pat shows up.
Ginny brings depth to Prem, showing vulnerability, frustration, and quiet resilience in a way that makes you empathize with her, even when her decisions are complicated.
Poisonous Love is daring. It doesn’t just serve sapphic romance, it dives into the darker side of love: obsession, regret, and sacrifice. It’s not perfect, and it leans into problematic territory, but that’s part of its identity. When it works, it really works emotionally, visually etc. It’s one of the standout Thai GLs of the year.
If I were recommending: yes, give it a try — but go in knowing that it’s not just “cute girl love”; it’s complicated, and you may love it or be frustrated by it (or both). Especially Ep9. That episode was the hardest of all to watch. Proceed with contusions.

This series is the true revelation of 2025 in the Girls' Love drama.
The story is beautiful, the protagonists Prem and Pat are splendid, and the cast is up to their standard. The series doesn't have a single boring moment, not even for 1 minute; the plot flows smoothly without any dull pauses. The actresses are an unexpected revelation. Ginny (who plays Dr. Prem) in her real life seems like a very normal girl, the girl next door, although she is truly very beautiful; but what stands out is her academic background, which marks her as a very intelligent, mature, and enterprising person despite her young age. The other protagonist, Jayna (who plays Pat), is a worthy co-star to Ginny, a very cute young student, actress, and model at just 19 years old, with a jovial, enterprising, and carefree personality. It's a real pleasure to see two young women in real life who are so intelligent and with such good and determined character. I notice a certain resemblance to their drama characters. The soundtrack is really nice. The costumes are excellent. The makeup and hairstyle greatly enhance the natural extreme sweetness of Ginny's face. God bless, I hope to see them together again after this hugely successful series that kept me in suspense until the very last second without respite. It's a series I will gladly rewatch.UPDATE:
Final episode raised my vote from 10/10 to 1000000/10.
Ginny, 1 billion.
Can't stop rewatching the last episode again and again.

Must Watch thats all
If I had to rank my GL's Poisonous Love. is 9.9/10 for the amazing story and OST that suits it, then in 9+ range The Secret of US, Pluto, US and others... btw my absolute top one is The Root, becasue it tops the board for only one reason, becasye it always probes my imaginaiton for a better happier ending, Prem Pat sad scenes = the Grave Scene and Hair cutting scene in The Root, but still no happy ending, just sadness. One Bad thing is that Prem's parents acted too well, I hated them at one point LoL, but everything is okay, maybe that is the realism in it.

Simply superb
From start to finish, the story was superb. The main reason for this is the chemistry between the main characters. The series' story will benefit from the characters who are kept on the side. The friendship bond they had was exceptional and their love story was also outstanding. Their chemistry was also remarkable. Was this review helpful to you?

Got me emotional
Ahh, I loved this! Ginny and Jayna did such a great job. I loved their chemistry and acting. The friend group was so supportive as well. I felt so many emotions while watching this, whether it was happiness or sadness. This show made my heart feel full. <3.

I do not believe Prem's parents deserved that redemption arc. The actors did such a great job that I loathe their characters. The unnecessary grief that they put Prem through killed me. They watched her become a husk of a person and still would not tell her the truth until she said she no longer wanted to live. I was crying alongside her. We let go of that lie too quickly. It was such a cruel thing to do and was moved past so easily. I hate them for what they did to her.
Other than that, it was amazing! :)

Amazing chemistry ❤️
The main couple’s chemistry is undoubtedly the heart of this drama. Both actresses deliver performances that feel incredibly natural and sincere. Their gazes, hesitation, frustration, and affection all come through so clearly that it becomes easy for viewers to connect with them emotionally. Their on-screen presence is powerful, and their dynamic evolves in a way that feels organic rather than rushed or forced. Whether they are fighting, falling apart, or slowly finding their way back to each other, their connection remains compelling and believable. Was this review helpful to you?
I also really liked the depiction of being rejected by society or family for who you love. I liked how realistic it was and that alone brought me to tears. However, there were times when I didn't enjoy the series or was just bored watching it. Other than that, I think it's just the right thing to beat boredom.
