Same old same old
Almost all these series have one major flaw, the producers want far more drama in it than any common sense would allow for. Many of them have the very same false reason for drama, which is the parents of a grown up adult dictating their children to do something they don't want to do.
Locking up an adult against their will, whether it's done by the parents or a stranger is a crime, any stranger who only hears about such a thing has to report the case to the police or else they are guilty of complicity and a single phone call to the police by anyone will get the criminal arrested.
As in many other series with similar nonsense reasons to insert drama, I started skipping forward when that kicked in, which just like in all other series with nonsense drama means it cuts out roughly 1/3 of the runtime of the series.
I do like the part before the fake drama though.

The concept itself is actually really good
I’ve seen a lot of bad reviews about Only You, and honestly I don’t really get all the hate. The concept itself is actually really good I love the whole bodyguard dynamic, with her being tough and protective but also clearly caring a lot about her partner. That kind of relationship is always interesting to watch, and I think the show does it pretty well. There are a few things I didn’t love though. The high heels… yeah, that just didn’t work for me. It kind of took me out of the serious bodyguard vibe. And while the chemistry is there, I personally wish the kisses and intimate scenes had a bit more depth and emotion. I wanted to feel those moments more. That said, I really enjoyed the jealous scenes with Tawan they were done so nicely and added a lot to her character. You could actually feel what she was going through, and those moments stood out to me the most. Also, the acting style is pretty similar to what we saw in The Secret of Us, so if you liked that, you’ll probably understand the vibe here too.
Overall, it’s not perfect, but it’s definitely not as bad as people say. It has a strong idea, some really good emotional moments, and it’s worth watching if you like this kind of story.

Stiff & unimaginative
I like LingOrm, both women separately have their own charm off screen.
I loved TSOU, I remember waiting every week, happily, because I knew I was going to enjoy the episode that aired.
Only You is objectively not a very good series. From the impracticality of the outfits, to the predictability of the plot (I was literally praying that it wouldn’t be another “I loved her when we were younger” plot line when I saw the trailer, but oh well, it seems to be a Thai GL must), to the horrible acting and the poor “action” scenes…. I really wanted to like this series, I was even prepared to love it, but from episode 1 I understood the vibe and knew pretty quickly that wouldn’t be the case lol.
LingOrm did an amazing acting job in TSOU, but now I’m wondering if the director gave them…bad directions for OY?? Like, did they tell LingOrm to make it seem so forced and cringe? Even if you love LingOrm to death you can’t say that it’s not terrible acting. It looks like Ling doesn’t even believe her own lines, and Orm’s character is only slightly more believable.
(Personal gripe)Don’t even get me started on the scene where Ling had to carry her—it visibly looked like she was struggling and I’m supposed to believe she was able to take down a group of guys? You would think as a director or anyone watching the footage back, that someone would say, “hey, Ling can’t really handle carrying Orm and it’s noticeable, why don’t we shorten this scene? Or only shoot from a certain angle to make it look more natural?”
Speaking of natural, there’s nothing natural about any of their dialogue, touches or line deliveries. That’s why I really wonder what their directions were…it seems as if they’re forcing themselves to be LingOrm & not Tawan & Ayla.
I honestly feel as though Ch3 is taking advantage of the fact that LO are already so successful, and not bothering to make the series what it could’ve been. I skip through most parts of the episodes, especially when the sidekick bodyguards do their “funny” banter that’s supposed to shed light on Tawan’s character. Such a bore. I’ll still finish the series for LO and I hope they’re able to get better projects…and maybe fresh characters.

Worth waiting for!
[Edited] Just came back here after watching EP4. The action scene is finally here and Tawan rocked it! I have been replaying that scene for more than 10 times already.First of all, the visuals!! Oh my god.. both of them are so damn gorgeous. Secondly, their acting skill! Their eyes are full of emotion when they act. I was watching LIVE and didn’t understand Thai but I understood how much they were feeling hurt or sad through their eyes. As for plot, I love how they focus on building the characters’ romance and relationship realistically rather than forcing them to love each other within a few days. Some might say it’s slow but for me, that is REALISTIC and I can relate to it more than unnecessary forcing love story. So far, I have watched 3 episodes and every time Tawan and Ayla look at each other, I was having butterflies in my stomach. Then, I realized, “wow! LingOrm’s chemistry is no joke. They can make me feel like that even without kissing!” Lastly, OST! Omg… both Ling’s Moonlight and Orm’s Distance of The Moon are masterpieces! Moonlight sounds sweet while Distance of The Moon sounds heartbreaking. Each OST reflects their own character. Overall, for me, Only You is worth waiting for. I can’t wait for Fridays!

I expect a lot. A bodyguard and an Idol together, it has so much potential. But it was wasted... Everything was blant and the plot was slow but for nothing.
Looking too amature, and not in a good way. I had the feeling I was watching a wattpad adaptation..
The chemistry was not there, even the fathers and mothers had greater chemistry TT
I'm disappoint in this drama...

OKAY !!!
Idk where I should start . I really wanted to give this series the benefit of the doubt, especially after their previous series at least it was watchable, but it ended up being a massive disappointment. While the first two episodes showed some promise, the quality took a sharp nosedive immediately after. The writing became increasingly messy and aimless, leaving the plot feeling like it was spinning its wheels rather than moving the story forward. The technical aspects didn't help, either. The cinematography felt uninspired and "flat," failing to create any real atmosphere or visual interest. This was compounded by the acting, which unfortunately felt forced and wooden throughout; I found myself constantly pausing the series just to take a break from the secondhand embarrassment of the cornier scenes. It was nearly impossible to form an emotional connection with the characters when their dialogue and delivery felt so unnatural.
Ultimately, there was no justifiable reason for this to be 14 episodes long. The story was stretched so thin that it became a chore to finish, turning what could have been a tight, punchy narrative into a bloated, repetitive experience. I genuinely hope that for their next project, the team prioritizes a solid, well-paced script and more authentic performances over simply filling a runtime.

Underwhelming
The plot is so underwhelming and the adplacements on scenes that are unnecessary like ordering a damn mattress. The over reacting lead about a hand is complete exaggerated and ost just kept on playing over and over. Costume design is also wicked, if you think about safety hazards when those bodyguards fight in stilettos and hoop earring. Was this review helpful to you?
A story that had potential
Ever since I watched Secret of Us, I’ve been a fan of Ling and Orm for their outstanding performances, and I knew this pairing would bring us soft GL content. Now onto the review: the storyline had great potential, especially as it gave Ling the chance to shift from her usual doctor role into a more action-oriented character. It definitely stood apart from other GL stories out there. However, the writing felt lacking—too many scenes seemed to fill space without real purpose.
More importantly, their on-screen chemistry didn’t come across as strong as it does in real life. Considering this isn’t their first time working together, they should’ve seemed more at ease. Honestly, their kiss scenes in Secret of Us were way much better—here, they felt hesitant and forced. The story also didn’t provide a solid foundation to justify their actions, making it harder to connect with, and not counting the pointless crocodile tears.
To the producers: if your actors aren’t comfortable with intimate or fan-service moments, don’t stretch out or overload the series with awkward kissing scenes. Viewers will still love the actors and appreciate the series more if those moments feel natural rather than forced.

I really want to love this series but I just can’t ?
I had really high expectations for Only You because I love Lingorm and tsou, it’s one of the first GL series I ever watched. Unfortunately, Only You just doesn’t hit the same for me. Don’t get me wrong, I still love Lingorm, but the storyline feels ridiculous and it’s getting harder and harder to watch. I actually have to force myself to finish each episode. And the song…I think everyone knows exactly which one I mean 😭 They keep repeating it every single time. At this point, every time it plays, I just feel annoyed.
It’s 14 episodes long, but honestly, it could’ve been wrapped up in 7 because so many scenes feel dragged out. Maybe I set my expectations too high, and that’s why I’m so disappointed. Hopefully, their next series will be as good or even better than tsou

[1 - 3] Underwhelming, excessive product placement, LO still LO, support cast the highlight so far
- The actresses are good, though it's feeling less engaging that with their last series.- The casting is great, in my opinion the support cast has been the best out of the show so far.
- The plot has potential, but so far, not sure if because of the pacing, the directing or the writing, it's potential is not shining through
{I'm sorry for what's coming}
Dear god, the production is terrible. I'm actually surprised something created by a huge Thai Ent company looks this bad.
The mistakes are things not even beginner level.
It looks like a project you rush to do last minute just to say you turned it in.
Sad that they fumbled it like this because they really had bagged a great base storyline and actresses. Even things that fans highlighted prior it started filming were not fixed or taken into consideration.
Hopefully it gets better as more episodes are out.
And that the nonsensical product placement slows down. Product placement is ok, but at least try to make it make sense with the scene, or on the contrary do the opposite and make it clear. The approach they took so far is just... Not it for me.
Will still keep watching, it's LO after all...
And the support cast, Tawan's team specially, makes it worth it while it's their screen time.
Hoping it gets better and they shut me up.
