Wasted talent
Only You was very disappointing. We know that LingOrm can deliver; we’ve seen their acting in The Secret of Us. They routinely show better chemistry at fan events than they did in this, and that’s not on them, that is bad directing. Channel 3 has the resources to make amazing GL stories, and yet they seem to be trading on the star power of the actresses instead of producing quality content.None of the body guards were believable. Body guards in stilettos? At the very least they should be in flat shoes, probably athletic shoes. Body guards need to be ready to run, fight, or manage a crowd, not ready for a night out or a fashion runway. I realize that Thai TV leans into a specific aesthetic for gl actresses, and even ignoring all the problems with that, if you are unwilling to forgo the aesthetic to build a believable character, then perhaps stick to characters for whom the aesthetic is believable. The one and only positive I can say here is that the gun handling was better than most shows; at least they didn't run around with their fingers on the trigger just itching for a negligent discharge to kill some random innocent bystander. With the hype around the gun training they did, I still expected more, but I liked seeing all those fingers straight down the frame of the gun exactly where they belong.
The plot is lacking and the writing terrible. It’s obvious from the two main scenes from the trailer that they hadn’t finished, or perhaps even started, the script when the pilot was created. Major plot points shifted between pilot and production. In the pilot Tawan says Ayla is “just a girl” so I believed the story was going to be another age-gap romance. While I’m relieved that this wasn’t another example of Thailand speed running all the worst LGBTQ+ tropes the west had to get past, it was jarring to have a major change like this. Then when Tawan confesses to Ayla in the pilot there is an attempt on Ayla’s life, so understandably I was ready for an action scene that never came in the production, once again pulling me out of the story. There are ways to create pilots that subvert expectations in order to keep the viewer guessing and engaged as the story unfolds, but this came across as poor continuity and a lack of care about the story.
I kept waiting for it to get better and pull me in, but sadly it never happened.

Pretty dissapointed but still an okay watch
The edits from the teasers from this series were the ones that got me into thai gl in first place I was really excited about the whole plot but then I realised it wasn't on air yet, that's when I watched TSOU. And after all the gls I've watch since then, TSOU it's still my favorite one. This really got my hopes high about this gl and ngl it pretty was entretaining for the most part. I even got engaged at first, but suddenly they tried to fit too many plot lines in one. I think the series was great until the episode they actually confess each other's love at the rooftop. After that, the whole family drama made everything WAAAYY too long. Ayla's father was too stubborn, the whole thing of keeping Ayla inside to not let her see Tawan was a lot, Mek as a character entirely dissapeared once he went to jail, and everything about Tawan taking over her father's company was missing when Ayla got ill. Also the resolution between the parents didn't feel genuine at all even. Everything goes too fast and it's a rollercoaster of emotions between this couple that doesn't seem justified at all. My girls are actually fine, I love their chemestry and even if it was a little weird to see Ling acting all protective instead of mean and cold, I got used to it pretty quick and end up loving her devotion to Ayla (and found it pretty hot, to say the least...). I loved Chanya as a character too, how she was the brain of the A bodyguard trio and actually got Tawan to actually lock in when she had to make a decision about taking care of Ayla, after that she pretty much stayed in the background sadly :( The CEO of the company was very pretty too and I really liked her personality as unrealistic as it might actually be from the real idol industry lol. Overall, i was expecting way more from the series, but it wasn't a hard watch. I wouldn't recommend it nor rewatch it. But I love Lingorm so maybe give it a try.Was this review helpful to you?
Disappointed
I really like LingOrm and I am very certain that they are good actresses, but this show was not it. And the problem was not the plot, that was quite interesting actually. The problem here was the cutting, too many scenes were too long, and the pacing was wrong. If some scenes had been shortened and or cut, for better emotional impact, the show could have been great. The acting was mediocre, even though I know that the actresses can do sooo much better.
There were phases where their acting was great, which showcased, what I knew that they have talent, but damn... and the next drama from them also doesn't look promising. I dropped the show 3 times and now I finally finished it... I'm sad because this might tank LingOrm's acting reputation even though they are amazing actresses! They need new writers, and directors in the show and better workshops.
What I disliked the most were the employees of Tawan... let them be serious and silly but not only one thing.
:(

Slow-Paced, but Full of Heart – and Laughs
Honestly, I was more disappointed by the reviews than by the series itself. Only You kept me entertained, even though at times the pacing was slow – their kisses sometimes felt like neither of them actually wanted to be there. Orm could have filled a whole bathtub with tears this season, but debating whether the bodyguard wears heels felt completely unnecessary.I really appreciated that the series focused more on the emotional side than on intimacy, which worked well for me. Honestly, 10 episodes would have been enough, but I have to praise the timing – just when I thought nothing more would happen, a big twist came, and the story moved forward.
The supporting roles of the three bodyguards were absolutely amazing! Every time they appeared on screen, I couldn’t stop laughing.
I recommend it to anyone who doesn’t mind watching the slow development of a relationship, because the emotional journey was beautiful. I’d love to see Ling–Orm in something more serious in the future, and I wouldn’t mind a script with a passionate kiss or swapped roles – masc Orm and fem Ling could pleasantly surprise us. Both actresses are incredibly talented, and their chemistry still feels underutilized.

Very bad story
I was hoping to see a good script with good acting . Actually I'm just watching it because I love lingling as a beautiful woman . But the series is very boring and the kissing scenes is not as I expected . Any way orm very bad kisser and not beautiful enough for lingling . There's no chemistry between them + the story is very bad with a lot of wholes . Harmony secret much better and denied love is better than both .Was this review helpful to you?

Only You (2025): Where the Love Is Denied, and So Is Good Kissing ??
I wanted to love this GL series, but honestly? The pacing dragged so hard I thought I was watching paint dry. The chemistry between the leads? Practically nonexistent. For a show built on repressed feelings and slow-burn romance, their connection felt more like two awkward classmates fumbling through a group project. And the kissing scenes? Oh boy. If those kisses were any stiffer, they’d need their own chiropractor. No heat, no tenderness, just a lot of “please don’t mess up my makeup” vibes. I was waiting for fireworks, but all I got was a flickering flashlight.
Seriously, I’ve seen more spark in a damp campfire. The show looks nice and all, but when the romance feels this flat, all the pretty lighting in the world can’t save it.

Watching exclusively for LingOrm
Two episodes in, and I’m feeling extremely mad. CH3 what the hell is this? LingOrm deserve better.I’m going to stick till the end because I love them but the plot is full of holes, it feels cheap, and is quite embarrassing for a big channel to even think delivering a product like this during prime time and on Netflix.
With Whale Store and Harmony Secret currently airing and ClaireBell, Girl Rules, Cranium and other GLs coming next, every production is upgrading and here we have CH3 downgrading to the max, thinking they can survive the long run without putting some effort to the plot or even the scene cut. It’s extremely embarrassing to see Orm changing hair colour from one scene to another and having “LingOrm” written all over the screen while Ayla is dancing, like c’mon?!? They are not even trying.

A Bold Blend of Action, Emotion, and Romance, Must Try
The chemistry between the two leads is subtle but striking, and the emotional pacing feels real — not rushed, not forcedLingling as Tawan and Orm as Ira bring that butterfly‑in‑the‑stomach feeling of first love.
Feels like a K‑drama with top-tier production. LingOrm’s chemistry is astronomical—absolutely captivating!

Only You is soooo goood
Only You is a Thai prime-time series airing on Channel 3, one of the country’s top TV stations. The story centers on an idol and her bodyguard—Tawan, played by Lingling Sirilak Kwong, and Ayla, portrayed by Orm Kornnaphat. Lingling delivers a captivating performance as Tawan, a strong yet emotionally layered character, while Orm shines as Ayla with her grounded and sincere acting. What makes this series special is that their connection isn’t just sudden—it’s rooted in a past love story. Tawan and Ayla had already fallen for each other back in school, but were separated by circumstances. Years later, they reunite, only to find themselves torn between professional boundaries and their true feelings. With natural chemistry, strong emotional beats, and high production value, Only You is a standout drama that blends romance, tension, and heart. Was this review helpful to you?
Absent dynamic I'm bored
The scenario without being great remained good especially on Tawan's parts, especially the fight scenes. On the other hand, the director did not manage the bodyguard part well. For example, bodyguards are always next to each other when they should have been more distributed. There were not very dynamic times in the sequence of scenes making the whole boring. The editing, the sound, the image were very good. The recurring music made the scenes too predictable. Ling and Om's acting was up to par but not helped by the acting direction. I beg the directors to think about realism in relation to the supposed Lesbian orientation of the 2 main roles. How Orm can have super long nails before and after an intimate relationship. GAP and SWSH explain this and most other series take this into account. Because of some detail, the series completely missed its goal. Was this review helpful to you?
Fictional Vibes
It's giving fictional novel vibes Loved it and the leads are amazing duo!!!! Both the leads did a great work together. The Bold character of the lead TAWAN is giving masculine woman and Mommy vibes. And the second Alaya is pretty and cute.HUGE FAN OF THAI GL FROM INDIA. WE LOVE YOU SO MUCH HERE!!!

TSOU is wayyyyy better....
The Secret of us is better the cinematography the story everything is on point... Too bad i can't say the same with only you the series. The action scene in the beginning looks bad like you can't tell me she bring down 4 man with those Lousy moves. Like the fight scenes seems like it was just rehearse that very moment. The phasing of the story is very anticlimactic and a bit boring. The production seems low budget unlike TSOU. like it feels like Only you is there first one because of the quality. Only is boring like im sure you are a lingorm bias if you say this series is a 10/10Was this review helpful to you?
