Need more Cdramas like this…
Great show. Very fun! These are the type of Cdramas that keep me excited to see more. This simple little mini series kept things moving right along and was very engaging. Lots of comedic moments and the story was good. Each character was interesting. The acting was decent and the exaggerated characters with their facial expressions and antics kept me laughing. I wouldn’t mind seeing a longer version of this sort of drama. Surprisingly, the CGI wasn’t terrible. It definitely reminded me of Dominator of Martial Gods which I also enjoyed. I liked this one just a tad more because of the comedy. Our main lead was awesome in this and hope to see many more lead roles with him.The only downside is it’s a mini series so you don’t get much of character building and backstory.

That was one ridiculously fun ride! ?
Another completely biased review from me to you.The story sounds like your typical wuxia/xianxia drama but trust me this is not! The humor is just spot on. The ML is outstanding, my favorite form of snarky ML who doesn't take himself or anyone else seriously at all. I am absolutely in love with Pan Lu Yu and can't wait to see more from him! And even though it is a short length series with each episode only 10 minutes or less (plus intro/exit music and credits) the story is so well written!
Lots of spoilery bits below:
The story starts out with the ML doing some sort of ascension trial (?) and ends up dying. That scene is when I knew this series was going to push all my buttons in the right way! The ML breaks the 4th wall and deadpans into the camera "I'm doomed.' His expression and delivery made this sweet perfection! 😘
The ML wakes up in the recently deceased body of a guy who was pretty much a lazy waste of space in his life and proceeds to snarkily have fun with this new life, going from a supreme being to a wastrel! 🤣
Along the way we meet his 3 gorgeous fiancés, his adorable maid who thinks he is the best in the world (everyone needs someone like her on their side!), his beautiful martial arts master, a foster brother who hates him and is constantly trying to get rid of him and talks smack to his father about him, and a father who treats him like dirt and definitely favors the foster brother. Not to mention a pair of incredibly badly over-acted villains with hair so bad you just know it's camp, right?🤣 Oh, and an evil prince too.
The quality of this series is way higher than most short dramas. The writing and direction are superior. The job the stylists did was fantastic (except for the villains of course). Even the OST is great. I let the opening credits play each episode cause I love the song!🥰
Oh, and the story ends nicely but then gives us a To Be Continued! I hope this is one that actually gets a second season 🤞
So what are you waiting for? Got watch this now! With only 24 ~10 minutes episodes it won't take up much of your time and is guaranteed to make you laugh!😍

Mini Drama, Major Impact – Highly Recommended!
I honestly didn’t expect to love this drama as much as I do. For a mini drama, it’s so good! The plot is fast-paced but still well-developed, and I find myself excited for every single episode. I really hope the Season 2 give it a full 45-minute episode format, that would be amazing. The three sisters are such strong characters, and I especially love Bi Zhi—she’s so gentle and likable. Fei Yang's chemistry with everyone is so good I could literally ship him with every girl in the show! 😅
The acting is on point, the story keeps me hooked, and honestly, it deserves way more recognition. Just because it’s a mini drama doesn’t mean it should be underrated. I genuinely hope the whole cast gets the chance to be in bigger productions in the future—I’d absolutely watch them again.
Highly recommend this drama if you’re looking for something short, strong, and super addictive!

Guilty Pleasure
I am sucker for transmigration + cultivation + zero to hero stories.Especially ones that are executed well with this type of plot.
As a mini drama, it gets into all main points quite quickly.
While it has the usual troupes, it's still very much a fun and satisfying ride!
Even though it has a smaller budget/production, the SFX is done well.
Wish it was a full length with more details fleshed out.
While there are many stories like it found in Webtoons/novels,
there are not many live action/adaptions that follow this kind of plot.
Hopefully this gets a sequel!
------------------------------------------
One other example of this type of plot is - > Dominator of the Martial Gods. Full length but also on a small budget.
Others on much larger budgets have been disappointing.
-> Martial Universe, The Great Ruler, Fights Break Sphere, Douluo Continent, Burning Flames.

Another Over-Powered Harem Mini
Was this mind-less, brain-less fun? For the most part, yes. Was this some masterpiece? Absolutely not in my opinion. If you have seen one over-powered harem you have seen this one: Multiple girls fall in line for a guy that is obviously VASTLY more powerful than anyone around him but they will call him names and sneer at him until each one falls in line. The best selling point of this specific show is that they did get a rather engaging OST that honestly IS very good and makes you feel pumped up.
As for the acting, obviously some people have loved it, personally I thought it was awful and the ML couldn't "quite" pull of the "I'm confident in my abilities and don't care what anyone else says" look. Instead for me he looked cartoonish and goofy. The dubbing didn't help either for me.
The villian casting was... odd with the 4th prince specifically mentioned as being "young" and "handsome" but had visible wrinkles on his face.
For the CGI, I have seen plenty of mini-dramas and low budget mid-length dramas, I've seen bad cgi and don't care. It very rarely bothers me. But this does not have "good" and absolutely not "AMAZING" cgi in any way. It was Okay and consistent which is more what I look for.
I do recommend because it's a fun show, but again, don't expect a masterpiece. 🤷♀️

I'll start with the positives!
the costumes look pretty and cgi is decent and fights look good.
Now here are what bothered me while watching;
-the acting!
ml's acting is a bit too over the top. his over acting took me out of the drama a lot. not that the rest of them were any better!
-lack of chemistry
among the 3 girls and even if I count in his master, none had chemistry with ml!
-the comedy isn't funny.
It's nice that it worked for many but I didn't find it funny at all. it's a shame.
tbh there were some instances that if they didn't cut it with a comedic act it could've been such an impressive scene but they did it several times and it didn't let the ml shine as he should've.
-the dubbing
it's a bit inconsistent. most of the time it's out of sync.
-the camera work!!
it has a nice effect in fights and battles but it's so over used in this drama that it got annoying for me. I'm not a fan of too much camera movements.
You might ask why would I continue watching then?
I like super strong characters that don't bother with other's drama! and my most favorite of such character is the ml in 'the Dominator of Martial Gods' drama! didn't have a huge budget but it was gold!
I was hoping I start liking this at some point! since it was a short drama and many liked it but it didn't happen.
it's not as bad to be unwatchable though.
That being said if they ever decide to make a second season, I might give it a shot!
so should you watch it? maybe!
The humor in this drama has obviously worked for so many and if the other points I made doesn't bother you, go ahead and watch it.

Goofy? Yes. Predictable? Sometimes. Addictive? Absolutely
I went into this drama with zero expectations. The MDL summary read like a shrug, and the mid-tier rating didn’t exactly scream “hidden gem.” But curiosity (and a slow afternoon) got the better of me — and next thing I knew, I was five episodes deep, skipping lunch, and fully hooked. This drama isn’t pretending to be a sweeping epic or a masterpiece of any kind, and that’s exactly why it works. It’s entertaining, light, and surprisingly heartfelt. Fei Yang’s character — the so-called “useless” happy-go-lucky nobody — is the kind of underdog you can’t help rooting for. Everyone writes him off, but he’s got tricks, heart, and a moral compass that quietly humbles the arrogant around him. He’s also accidentally engaged to three women because his brothers die in the first ten minutes (yes, really). The romance angle is more “are we, aren’t we engaged” than swoonfest, but it works.
Pan Lu Yu’s performance deserves its own applause — not because it’s award-worthy, but because it’s just plain fun. His facial expressions alone deserve a highlight reel. He embodies Fei Yang with such gusto that I found myself grinning through entire scenes. The fight choreography was surprisingly solid, but what really hit was the emotional payoff.
Fei Yang doesn’t flaunt his strength for the sake of it. He’s not stingy, not performative. If someone genuinely needs something more than he does, and he sees that they’re worthy, he gives it without asking for credit. Not because it’s easy, but because it’s right. His strength isn’t just in what he can do, but in what he’s willing to share. That generosity, that quiet justice, is what makes him compelling. He doesn’t hoard power — he redistributes it with emotional logic.
Between the scrappy fight scenes, the moments of unexpected sincerity, and the theme that kindness doesn’t mean weakness, Be Yourself turned out to be an absolute blast. I can’t wait for the next installment — this goofy gem deserves a sequel.

We need more Cultivation short dramas like this
I didnt have any expectations going in to this drama but boy was i proven wrong. Right from the get go, i was attracted and couldnt get my eye of this drama. As a huge fan of cultivation novels like nshba and so on. This has elements of reincarnation , strong hidden protagonist, harem, heavenly tribulation, and even more, this was my ultimate calling. I love the story, the costume, the cultivation levels, even the cgi was quite op for this drama. Felt like they really spent well on it. And i like how they did not shy away from the harem part. Hehehe. Cant wait for season 2. And even s3 and so on.Was this review helpful to you?
Can't wait for season 2
Honestly!! They should just compile this and release it in theatres — it’s that damn good. The ratings here do absolutely no justice to this drama. It’s a solid 8.5+ banger, one hundred percent. I literally sat in front of my TV and watched the entire thing in a single sitting.Plot:
Fallen god/supreme immortal — not “fallen” fallen, but sent back to restart his cultivation from absolute zero in Zhou Feiyang’s mortal body, a body that doesn’t even have a dantian. During his time in the mortal realm, he gradually understands the fundamental flaws in his century-long cultivation.
Characters:
Zhou Xi Shao (in Zhou Feiyang’s body):
I loved this ML. His arrogance, aloofness, confidence, and that perfect “I-can’t-care-less” attitude—sprinkled with just the right amount of kindness. And of course, all of this comes from his top-level cultivation. He’s the kind of person you simply cannot ignore, even if he's standing in a crowd.
Chen Qiushui (Fiancée #1):
Airhead-genius, in my opinion. She’s obsessed with superficial talent and completely ignores a person’s genuine character.
Yanran (Fiancée #2):
Beautiful and sweet, but honestly… quite hypocritical.
Bai Zhi (Fiancée #3):
The only fiancée who liked him despite his low cultivation. Respect.
Xiao Ran:
ML’s romantic interest and my favorite FL. She helps him discover the core flaw in his cultivation—truly living up to her title of “Master.”
Pan Luyu absolutely killed it as the ML.
The CGI was amazing, the action scenes were crisp, and my favorite part? The OST. It’s literally stuck in my head on loop right now.
Amazing drama. Desperately waiting for Season 2💕💕💕💕

Quick, Mood refreshing!
Light hearted , engaging. Good acting of male lead. Set up is good, not too extensive but enough to set the mood. Male lead has played the role well and kept it engaging with his character. Less political struggle.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

bring back 2010's fun familial drama
such a fun drama , i was taken back 2012 soap drama with laughter, parents loving their children, acting a bit over the top with exaggerated expression and just not very high stake goofy drama. the ending was a bit rushed and i hope there is a second season because so many things are left unanswered but i doubt it . i really loved it and probably would rewatch as serotonin booster and i am not a rewatcher ever. Was this review helpful to you?
Surprisingly Engaging Drama
I love the cast and main leads. I didn't believe myself when I said this short drama has a well-engaging plot as well. All I want to say is give it a try. I don't know yet where this drama takes us. Is it good in future or not? But one thing is clear. I hooked from the first episode until now. The story follows ML. ML is fine-looking and good FL characters as well. Was this review helpful to you?
