Frustrating disappointment
The first 2 episode were good : the first was full romcom, the second made the characters more profound and more interesting, but of course it went downhill, like every drama nowadays. It's actually frustrating because it feels like k-dramas don't want to grow with the audience hence those lamentable misunderstanding that drag for too long. I don't ask dramas to be the copy paste of the reality or have no tension/problems but having characters that acts more mature, more logically isn't that difficult.
Even worse those days, the writer only pile up different plot (ennemies to lovers, childhood connection, love triangle, amnesia, etc...) and call this a scenario even if it's not consistent. Sometimes I wonder how they could make some choices when it's obvious it doesn't made the story better but only made it lazy and annoying.
In this drama it's flagrant, because we had the opportunity to see a lovely couple between Ha-yeong and Seon-u that could've problems since he's a single father but still triumphed at the end. Instead we were served with a bland love triangle that made no sense whatsoever, super cringe and made character like Seon-u super dumb and irresponsible. Because why was he running in a dangerous zone to save his lover like he hasn't a kid that wait him back home and acted like he was some teenager ? That baffled me honestly.
Da-rim and Ji-hyeok were cute yes but also very frustrating. I agree at 100% with why Da-rim hide the truth. But because it was dragging so much, both became annoying even if we could understand them at first. I mean Ji-hyeok's super solution was to marry Ha-yeong against her will but why would he act like his father whom he hates so much ?
I won't even talk about this stupid break up that made no sense, sorry I found Da-rim so dumb to just follow the words of Ji-hyeok's sister without questioning them. I mean what's the point of being with someone if you can't communicate and overcome the obstacles together. If you can break up for such fickle reason and brand it as protection, you might as well not get together in the first place. Thank God there weren't many ep left so they couldn't drag this out but it was so frustrating.
Overall it's not a bad drama, the chemistry is there, there were some funny moments but I'm frustrated because I'm seeing a pattern with the recent k-dramas that doesn't please me. I think lazy writing should be call out otherwise dramas quality will only drop further.

Dynamite Chemistry
This show made me laugh and squeal in delight so much that the flaws didn’t detract from my enjoyment. This drama threw in ALL the tropes that the end was almost a parody of romcoms and I wasn’t mad about it. The comment amount ‘temporary insanity’ was so on point. LOL And the hilarious end credits was one of my favorite ever. It won’t rank as a high as some of my favorite romcoms, but I had a good time and it introduced me to Jang Ki Yong and Ahn Eun Jin, whom I now love. Was this review helpful to you?

How to ruin a good story 101
Honestly, this drama is the perfect example of how to ruin a great story with a messy finale! Gosh, I was so hooked at the beginning. I was literally counting down the days for every new episode, but they totally blew it.Don't get me wrong, this drama is basically a "cliché manual." I mean, it has everything: the love triangle where the second male lead is clearly the better choice, the fake relationship trope, endless misunderstandings, and the classic "rich guy/poor girl" dynamic. Even with all that, I was actively watching because it was funny, lighthearted, and just plain entertaining. I don't even hate clichés that much if they're done right, but this? This was a choice.
First off, the second couple had so much potential, but they totally wasted it—it still makes me so mad! Meanwhile, the SML became super annoying, clinging to the FL until the very end, even though she never gave him the time of day. Then, in the last two episodes, they randomly threw in a new love rival? It didn't last long, but it was so unnecessary.
And then... they hit us with the memory loss trope. (¬_¬) It was total filler that served no purpose other than wasting time that could’ve been used for actual plot development. Which brings me to the ending... like, what was that?! It was incredibly rushed and not at all what I expected. It’s such a shame because the cast was great and the chemistry was definitely there. I really thought this would be one of the top rom-coms of the year.
It actually reminds me of what happened with When the Phone Rings. That drama was so popular, but the ending was terrible because the development was all over the place, leaving everyone confused and disappointed.
I’m giving this a 7/10⭐ just to be generous because I did enjoy the majority of the ride, but those final episodes were such a letdown. It could have been so much better!

disappointing
This program started out really well. Up to episode 5 or so I would have easily given it an 8. It was funny, the pacing was good, the acting was good. Unfortunately the further along it went the weaker it got. The pacing became a major problem and the story spent too much time on silliness and not enough on developing the plot especially for the secondary characters. Silliness is great and fun but not when it replaces actual story.Overall the acting was good. The team were all good characters. Sadly they sort of disappeared toward the end.
The final episode was one of the weakest finales I have ever seen for a show. Things were wrapped up but not particularly well. It felt like a checklist was being completed and nothing more.
This was a seriously disappointing show.

Good beginning, mess ending
FAILURE!The first few episodes were actually really nice and easy to watch. You could feel the chemistry between the main characters. A definite plus were the moms. And that’s pretty much it when it comes to positives.
The final episodes were a complete mess. What started as waiting for new episodes every week ended with me not even wanting to finish the show. The whole storyline about her not telling him the truth dragged on forever. And the male secondary character seriously annoyed me.
My overall rating is a 5, mainly because the beginning was quite enjoyable and I have a soft spot for Jang Ki-Yong.

heart fluttering kisses but lack of plot details at the end
Totally one of my favorite releases for this year!! I really had so much fun with this drama, and plus the chemistry between Jang Ki Young and Ahn Eun Jin was there!!! I was not expecting for its comeback drama for the both of them as they became more famous because of their roles from this drama. Despite the plot was mostly the same, such as amnesia from one of the leads, villain roles with no development, unexpected supporting character that was too unnecessary, second female lead was just for a show of the second male lead, made arguments and breaking up of the main leads 2/3 from the whole series, etc. I feel like nowadays romance dramas were all just the same taste. And felt bad at the ending since in two eps there were tons of expected scenarios and twists that are typically the same as other released dramas for the past few years.Setting aside its flaws, I also love the progress of their story together of how they fall in love ever since its unexpected encounter of being that "couple" to impress someone else's ex. The whole point of the story was how their first encounter was an unexpected dynamite kiss. The title of the series says it all. The beginning was full of excitement and butterflies. I'm happy that both of the main casts did well with the roles. Its just that I felt bad that the writer made it rushed at the ending. It was definitely a good one but there were a bit plot holes at the end. Like
1. Where was darim's mission in finding her sister who had lots of debts left? I was actually hooked by that.
2. What happened to Jiheyok's father? And also to his sister?
Definitely it was a total downfall after ep 8.
But overall, this drama made me flutter, but I think there was justice to the casting. I also love the ending of the drama in which all of the casts involved from this drama were introduced through dancing on screen and in their last filming site at their BTS scene. Literally it was worth the wait, and a happy ending was a satisfaction for a joyful Christmas! <333 Looking Forward to the casts future endeavors and their projects to come!!

The ending ruins it
I don’t even remember how it finished. I swear, I’m so confused by the ending, I feel like there is no real closure.I really loved the first part of the drama, funny and fresh, well acted and gorgeous leads. But the two final episodes are just a mess, I think the writers forgot to finished the storylines they started, and instead started some new ones??
I wish they focused more on their characters and their growth, such a waste of story!
Moreover they completely forgot the sister! That’s ridiculous.
I hated the second leads’ story!! they never explained why he doesn’t want to be with her, he just kept pushing her away for no reason. I mean come on, she’s gorgeous, kind, funny, rich and totally in love with you, it’s not realistic you won’t consider her at all.

Cliche but pleasant
The chemistry between the two actors is really strong, and the series is very funny. I like the sister, even though her husband is really useless… to the point where the mother ends up having a heart attack.Dynamite Kiss is definitely a drama I really enjoyed watching this year. Yes, it includes all the classic rom-com clichés: fake dating, the second lead who realizes he’s in love too late, daddy issues, a female lead who sacrifices herself for her family — and the same goes for the male lead. But despite all of that, the series is still very entertaining.
Ji Hyeok and Da Rim are so lovable, sometimes annoying, but overall really adorable to watch. They have great chemistry and look amazing together.
However, the jealous sister who turns out to be the illegitimate child feels completely unnecessary. It doesn’t add anything to the story, and it’s not even a little bit fun.
I absolutely love the romance between Ji Hyeok and Da Rim they’re just too cute.
Episode 12 really ruined that special spark the series had. The writing was painful and made no sense, especially with characters we don’t even care about.
Still, after watching the final episodes and seeing the reactions on social media, the series remains enjoyable overall. Even though it uses every possible romance cliché, it’s still a pleasant watch.

JAIL TIME FOR THE WRITERS.
I'm seeing an upward trend of writers seemingly giving up mid story. It had so much potential to be the best romcom of the year but the writers had to ruin it with their lazy storyline. It started off with a bang- the first two episodes gave me hope for what was to come, and i admit, it had me hooked, but as the story progressed i felt bombarded with all existing tropes and cliches that made the story laughable. If i were the writer, these are some of the things i'd do differently:
- Darim and Seonu (sml) will strictly be FRIENDS and nothing more. He reluctantly agrees to being her husband but feels very uncomfortable to act as so as he is very smitten by the SFL. He doesn't gain any romantic feelings for Darim AT ALL. Although, they have a platonic relationship, he is very protective of his friend- fueling further jealousy in Jihyeok. Seonu and Darim are a comedic duo.
- ML would find out the Darim's secret early on, although he is upset about the lies, he is able to move on.
- They start a secret relationship, where we get to see their electric chemistry from the initial episodes. They work hard to hide their relationship with great difficulty, whilst faking being with their intended other.
-sml and sfl are also in a relationship, and have to hide their relationship and when everyone discovers this, hell ensues.
-after Darims debt is paid off, she remembers that she has a sister! the leads work hard to find her, and have the family reconnect.
- with all the misunderstandings cleared, we see the leads living a happy domestic life until the accident (no need for filler episodes)
- jihyeoks accident happens a few episodes earlier, where darim sadly fails to help him regain his memories of them together and they separate.
-the last two episodes have the leads cross paths over the year, where jihyeok slowly but surely falls in love with darim all over again. His old memories don't return but they build new and deeper ones.
I think it was an easy fun watch. Cinematography was good and visually appealing. Acting was ok, but the leads chemistry made up for it. Despite its faults, i was very invested and i would still highly recommend it.

Difficult to rate
Things I adored1 The 2FL. Such a great character, so grounded and enthusiastic at the same time.
2 The small boy. What a cute boy and what a great actor. His character was my favorite and I adored his relationship with the 2 FL.
Things I loved
1 The beginning. It had so much potential to be funny and interesting
2 The mothers. The ML and FL mothers were absolutely great. I loved their friendship, and how they were there for each other. I also loved the 2FL mother although I wish she could ditch her stupid husband.
3 The mothers' team and how supportive they were with each other. Heartwarming, but also funny and inspiring.
4 The ML. I thought at first I wouldn't like him at all because the actor wasn't appealing to me. But, rare enough to mention it, I warmed on him and I thought his character was great. He did act silly sometimes, but all in all he was decent and funny and never did anything I could blame him. Not even when he thought she was married. He didn't deny his feelings but he didn't do anything to ruin her marriage. I loved how he was with his team and
5 The relationship of the ML with his mother. I loved how he fought about her.
6 Small scenes like when they prepare food, or they are in bed. There were many scenes sprinkled all over I loved.
Things I liked
1 The ending. I know many didn't like the ending, and the amnesia plot. I get it. Personally, I dislike the amnesia plot that lasts, but here it was short and it didn't bother me. I thought it was funny to be honest. I'm all for tropes, so no problem there. The only thing that bothered me is that we didn't have enough time with them being a couple.
2 The FL. I didn't love her. I'm not sure what the problem is. At first I didn't like any of the leads but I more than warmed to the ML while I still found the FL lacking. It's not only bout looks, although yes, I don't think she's attractive. it's more how she played the role. Except from some scenes where she moved me, she was weird. Like when they kissed one time and I thought she was awful. She froze in a weird pose and had a lost look. So uncomfortable. Also, she's un ugly crier and yes, these are details, but they all contributed to think that the 2FL should be the lead.
The series would be wonderful if the 2FL was the FL. better acting chops, much more attractive and also more luminous. Anyway, I didn't dislike her, but I don't think I'll watch another drama with her. As it happens, I've seen another one where she was part of the main cast and I found her a bad actress there as well.
Things I disliked
1 Not enough time with them as a couple. It felt rushed and I don't think it needed more episodes. I need it needed better directing.
2 The FL sister. Yes in the end she tried to redeem herself, but what the heck? How can you be so irresponsible and bring others to your mess?
Things I hated
1 The ML father. Not an ounce of sympathy from me. Such an awful father and person. I would love to see him go to jail.
2 The "sister" of the ML. Not only I thought she was a bad actress but every time I looked at her I had goose bumps because she looked like a mummy to me for some reason. Of course I hated her character and didn't like at all how she ended. I would love for her to pay for her awful actions.
3 The 2FL brother. Well, what else to say about him that he was a poor excuse of a human being. 'm happy he got what he deserved.
4 The 2ML. I can't stretch enough how much I disliked the actor, the character and the hole plot around him. I wasn't happy at all that he ended with the 2FL. She deserves someone who values her and someone who knows how to deal with adults. He may have been a great father but he was a crappy friend and romantic interest. I'm not sure I liked him a single second and I know it's harsh but he rubbed me the wrong way from the start.
5 The whole triangle. What the heck? That was angst for the sake of angst. He could pretend be married to her without having feelings for her. I could have liked him then and the romance between him and the 2FL could have been more interesting, sweet and something to rule for. He was the worst part of the drama. Oh, and an awful actor to top that. I never felt anything watching him. Not even when he was with the kid apart one or two scenes. The FL played the parts with the kid a million times better.
It wasn't a bad drama and it had some funny, inspiring heartwarming moments. It could be better, though. Still, better than many for me and I watched all the episodes which is rare enough to mention.

Good and Bad, Highs and Lows
It's very tropey and contrived. It's not a bad drama, but nothing blends well together, the characterisation for the leads isn't right, and instead of bringing something new or sticking to one story, it tries to do multiple things in one show. There's nothing that feels real or natural in terms of the romance either, and their relationship was rushed (no building friendship or romance), so it didnt feel like it was really going anywhere and I ended up disconnecting from the pairing. I also didn't like that the family issues weren't really dealt with.
What I did like... the lead's mum's relationship, ML's mother's awakening and healing, the mother team and the FL's place in it and relationships within that, and the FL's growth and the positive changes in her life.
I rated as high as I did because of what I did really like, and because there were some VERY good scenes, and some shows don't even have that, even some of the better shows that are consistent.

A fun show if you don't take it too serious!
Dynamite Kiss!🎇Overall 8/10
🌟🌟🌟🌟
Dynamite Kiss was definitely an enjoyable show to watch. The last two episodes were overloaded with kdrama cliches, I almost lost my mind, but despite that super fun. We start with an intense wedding crash and debt collectors, and a memorable trip to Jeju. Darim wants to avoid seeming pathetic in front of an ex and meets Ji-hyeok. Urgent news sends her back in a rush, and in desperation, she lies to get a job. Was it worth lying? You'll have to watch and see! Adorable SFL and Kim Jun steal the show for me, just hoping SML wakes up and sees what he is missing! (There are some plot holes that I found annoying which is why it stayed at a consistent 8/10 for me as we reached the end.)
After the show ends, we get a fun bonus credit scene where the actors are shown, and I really loved that small but fun section to fully wrap up and part with the show! Thanks for the fun Dynamite Kiss!!
NOTE: If you were looking for something serious this is NOT the drama for you! It's a fun drama and it doesn't make all that much sense but it's fun-loving and enjoyable if you watch it without taking it seriously! Just have fun!)
