Just okay.

If you're looking for fluff, this is it. College setting, "rivals" to lovers, low stakes second couple, premonitions. I was enjoying it up until the last couple episodes. The thing that pissed me off was the way the dad's plot was resolved. This is a man who very bluntly told Jinn (as a little kid!) that he was not his father, and he disappeared for years. Then we find out that he's been secretly seeing the mom and hiding it from Jinn. When they're discovered, he gives some extremely half hearted "sorry, but it was to protect you." (because the dad was a celebrity, but apparently was fine to see the mom and not the child??) And Jinn is understandably upset, but is persuaded to let it go for no reason at all.

Honestly, I hated that. The rest of the show was good, but it ended on such a sour note for me. Yes, the beach trip was cute but not enough to save it.

Too 2 Many Heads

This series got so close to the mountain top but then it slid down to the plain of mediocrity only to periodically rise back up and meet the sunrise to a shining light of creativity. Truthfully, I have such a love/hate relationship with this series and its protagonists. Sometimes they ascended to solid acting only to then fall into a pre-pubescent cesspool of triteness. Honestly, it is not their fault. It was a bad script and even worse directing. Parts of this series were enchanting; while others fell from grace. Although the intent of this series was entertaining and offered some novelty, I found the way the leads got there, wanton. So, what was the point of this BL? For entertainment only? Then okay, this was entertaining. If you are trying to convey a BL story among the protagonists, then you failed. Ironically, you told a great authentic story with the side couple that is way more heartfelt and real and, at least for me, more captivating.

Head for the hills…

This is my first time watching a show with Keen and Sea as leads. I have seen Surf and Java in different dramas. Surf in I saw you in my dream and Java as Thup in boss and a babe. For all the actors I really enjoying seeing them on screen JJ being my favourite as he brought that slap stick comedy with him but his character got real when needed.

That said this drama was a poor rip off of I saw you in my dream. I didn’t find it boring but it was not engaging. The storytelling felt choppy most of time. There is a lot that they could have done with this but they chose this lacklustre direction.

Let me start with the positives:
The actors are easy on the eyes, this makes it easier to watch and the acting is good as in they did what they were directed to do.
Ngevatives:
The music was forgettable, I actually cannot remember a single song. Moving on to the story- what was it?
Neighbour enemies turned lovers? (Cue bad buddy) J starts seeing future versions of him and Jinn and suddenly he catches feelings? Then the unexplained nose bleeds all the time… I spent more time at the hospital with this couple than anywhere else.
Their kisses don't feel natural to say that it’s their what 3rd series together?

Jinn’s daddy issues justified-Dad and mum’s lack of communication unjustified resolution too simplistic Jerome is not the magic pill to Jinn’s family issues.

I am still figuring out what happened- because the ending was very questionable it left me with a lot of questions. So the visions came about because they both wished at some point and bla bla bla. Is Jinn still going to die from some unknown sickness? I don't know because the director never bothered to use the 12 episodes to tell us the story. The characters all felt very 2D.

The second couple, Van and Farm were mildly more interesting. This is the opposites attract trope, Van was an ass and Farm had no business dating him. I understand Van's emotional distance due to unresolved grief but he was a total dick to his friend. And then he suddenly wanted Farm back? I was glad Farm took a stand for himself but it only took the fear of few mosquito bites to forgive Van.

The supernatural element was good to begin with however it was not utilised well for the story and becomes more of a prop for the show. This wa very much a rip off I saw you in my dream but I felt Deehup did a better job that GMmtv with this production. Highlight of the show for me was JJ- Lone Ranger.

would I rewatch- No. Too many plot holes, poor and simplistic ending that left lots of questions, the resolved arcs were luckluster and key explanations were never given. This i think is a directing issues. Siwaj is often hit and his with his shows.

I will give the cast another chance in other projects.

A slow grower with a pleasant surprise

It really grew on me. I went in without big expectations and ended up enjoying it more than I thought. The rivalry-to-romance dynamic worked well, with tension slowly giving way to softer, more emotional moments. What truly surprised me, though, was the second lead couple. I didn’t expect to get that invested, but they added an extra layer that made the story even more enjoyable.
Not perfect, but definitely a pleasant watch.

I enjoyed it but expected more

Ill start by saying The cast was perfect, they did so well in their respective roles, they had so much chemistry together which also made this serie special to me. And basically saved it for me
Now to storyline, we start off so well, first half of serie was good, we had intersting plotline kept me hooked than 2nd half come and editing become so bad, plotline lost and storyline dipped, focus went from jerome trying to save jinn to somehow making up with jinn's dad, i don't understand why they even tried to make jinn forgive him, he left him, this doesn't change, that forgiveness was some bs.
Now another big plot point we lost is how jinn actually die and how jerome save him, bcz it didn't matter if jinn survived accident with his mom h, he still died at age of 30 due sicknesses, so i dont get how we never got that explaned.

FarmVan needed better storyline too, van went from having no romantic feeling towards farm to loving him next ep, it didn't make sense.

Such potential of story got lost into details a'd i only blame people behind the scene from writers to editors and directors and i worry that one of series i look forward the most under same director which could end up with same team and ruin such great idea

just finished but...

a lot of plot holes and the ending felt a bit rushed, i still have a lot of questions that didn't get answered but overall still a cute show and i could see the good chemistry the couples had with each other. i personally haven't read the novel so for people who are also watching it without reading the novel first they should've explained why things we're happening, too much things going wrong and resolving them too fast without really explaining or giving them time to process it all.

Great Start But....

A classic enemy to lovers trope from my beloved SeaKeen. I just adore these 2 Boys. They have a fantastic chemistry and so much potential to be one of the top ships of GMMTV.

SEA is taking on a role unlike his others as a teaser or more devil may care type and I love to see it but behind the careless type J is we still see Sea as a caring individual. Hiding behind a facade. J obviously likes Jinn and vice versa but to say it out loud would be detrimental to their dynamics.

I look forward to this story,

That being said I could have done without the invited actor (New) as I am no longer a fan of his. And don't come for me. Like who you like and I'll do the same.

Missing the great JIMMYSEA on Sundays since My Magic Prophecy ended so SEAKEEN are a very welcome addition to Sunday Morning.

Love and Rivalry Collide in Head 2 Head

What an amazing start to another university BL! The first few episodes were pure fun from beginning to end, light, hilarious, and full of that chaotic energy that makes enemies-to-lovers stories so addictive.

It’s such a treat to see KeenSea from OnlyBoo and MuTeLuv reunited again, and their chemistry is unreal. The way J and Jinn constantly bicker, challenge each other, and then accidentally show a bit of care is just perfect. The story follows two long-time rivals who can’t stand being in the same room without throwing insults, but after a racing accident forces J to stay under Jinn’s care, that fiery tension slowly starts turning into something more.

The whole next-door-neighbour enemies-to-lovers setup instantly gives Bad Buddy vibes, and I just know this series will deliver that same perfect mix of humour, rivalry, and slow-burn affection. Watching two people who “hate” each other slowly fall in love is one of my favourite BL tropes, and Head 2 Head is nailing it already. Mondays are officially saved for this show with laughter, chaos, and romantic tension guaranteed.

I’m having so much fun with this series. Jinn and J’s enemies-to-lovers energy is absolutely hilarious. They hate each other’s guts like it’s their full-time job 😂 My favourite scene has to be when they’re acting all polite and sweet in front of their parents, then the second the parents leave, it’s instant chaos and non-stop insults. It’s so over the top and yet so charming.

Honestly, this is exactly what I needed after a long, stressful Monday, pure serotonin in BL form.

not just rivalry - it’s about connection, tension, and hidden feelings.

Head 2 Head is all about tension — not just romantic tension, but personality clashes, pride, and emotions that neither character wants to admit out loud.

Ken feels everything very intensely, even if he pretends it’s just competitiveness. He’s stubborn, quick to react, and hates losing — especially when it comes to Shin. But the more you watch him, the more obvious it becomes that it’s not just about winning. Shin affects him in a way he doesn’t fully understand, and instead of facing that, he turns it into arguments, teasing, or pushing back harder. There’s something almost restless about him, like he doesn’t know where to put all those feelings.

Shin is the opposite on the surface. He’s controlled, calm, and always seems like he has the upper hand. He doesn’t react as openly as Ken, which makes him harder to read at first. But that doesn’t mean he’s not affected — it just shows in smaller ways. A pause, a look, a slight shift in how he responds. Around Ken, his composure isn’t as untouchable as it seems, and those little cracks are what make his character interesting.

Their dynamic is built on constant push and pull. They argue, challenge each other, and refuse to back down, but there’s always something underneath it. The tension never really goes away — it just changes. What starts as rivalry slowly turns into something more complicated, where emotions get mixed in with pride.

What makes their relationship work is that neither of them fully gives in easily. They both hold onto their pride, their habits, and their way of dealing with things. So when they do start to soften, even just a little, it feels important.

The connection between them isn’t loud or obvious — it builds through all those charged moments, the arguments that last a little too long, the looks that say more than what they’re willing to admit.

Overall, Head 2 Head is all about tension, pride, and emotions hiding under the surface. If you love rivals-to-lovers dynamics, strong personalities, and relationships that grow through conflict - you’ll get hooked on this.

Such a good series!

I started watching the series while it was airing at EP8.

I didn't expect much, but it turned out to be a really good series. The story might be a little confusing on Jinn's and Jerome's part, but I really liked Farm and Van. Everyone's story was a bit confusing/frustrating, but that makes the series interesting and watch wortht. Everything makes sense at the end!

SeaKeen and SurfJava did really well in this series. Their characters were really likeable and interesting. The acting was actually pretty good.
Of course JJ did a very good job being the comedic relief character as aways.

This was a cute and heartfelt series with drama and actions. I for sure teared up a few times while watching lol.

I'm definitely rewatching this soon!

THANK YOU GMMTV FOR GIVING US THIS SERIES

Rewrite The Stars.

For a drama that was being provided for free on Youtube, Head 2 Head exceeded my expectations. The storyline is nothing new, and the very simple portrayal of family, friendship and the explosive dynamics between them all is what elevates this show to another level.

Childhood friends turned rivals Jerome and Jinn has made it their mission to annoy the living daylights out of each other, including moving to extreme lengths such as courting the other's crush.
When one such 'competition' ends with Jerome crashing his car, he starts to dream visions from 10 years ahead... visions in which he and Jinn are no longer at war. Jerome begins to realize that the dreams might not be as simple as they seem when he scarily cross checks facts, revealing a crucial information that rewrites everything he had assumed about Jinn.

Why was he receiving these visions? Could he really change what awaits him? Who exactly was Jinn to him?

☆ Most of the drama takes place at college, or in their homes. Honestly, it's an almost accurate portrayal of a college students life. The relationship between the kids and their parents is one of the main backbones of the tale and I adored how it was depicted.

☆ I have to give it to GMMTV... this is my 4th drama from them and however the story strays, the characters are all fully fleshed out human beings who are relatable. Characters are empathetic and make logical arguments, which was refreshing to watch.
Yes, there were tough episodes, but the writers couldn't afford to drag out conflicts with only 12 episodes.

This might be the true highlight of Head 2 Head. Not to mention that every actor was convincing to my eyes.

☆ The second couple, Farm and Van are equally captivating as the main one. They were definitely the sour apples, and time might've been insufficent to portray Van's growth, but they somehow managed to bring it to the finish line.
Throw in their friend Mai and we get a gang of mixed personalities that doesn't seem unrealistic.

I'm not the best judge when it comes to technicalities, but, honestly, this drama was a warm hug for me since November 2025, without being overboard or underwhelming.
It was a sunshine after rain moment for me after Khemjira, which I had completed prior to it. I'm slightly upset that I won't have anything to escape from reality for a while.
I wish that Jerome, Jinn, Van, Farm and Mai continue to live their lives in the best way, whichever universe they exist in.

A mix of fluff, tiny angst, lots of comedy and a mystery.

Not every drama has to be extremely high quality to be enjoyable. I loved every bot of the drama. It was entertaining to watch, heartwarmingly cute and kept me hooked to know what happens till the end. I never knew SeaKeen had it in them to pull of a drama like this. Now I want them to have more characters to banter.

The plot was definitely good. It might have had holes here or there, honestly I didn't care to notice. What I loved the most is the dynamics of J and Jinn. It's been a while we had a rivalry college drama. The first half focused more on chemistry build up and the second half of the drama untangled the mystery. Sometimes I couldn't get the timelines but it was not difficult to understand what was going on. The side couple's story was as investing as the main one. It's rare to see red flags in such semi-fluff stories so good to see something different.

The direction was definitely on the better side. Whoever designed the theme and concept deserves some kudos. It perfectly captured the essence of the drama. The whole drama is so GenZ coded and I think it was directed well.

Keen has so much of potential, he portrayed his character so well and his emotions were never failing. Keen has improved so much, he is definitely a lot less stiff and is showing great expression. I am fairly impressed with Java, I cannot believe he is one of the newbies. The way he portrayed he character was so to the point I wanted to slap some sense in him. Surf indeed showcased strong acting ability with stable emotions and delivery.

Definitely one of GMMTv's better drama. It should have gotten a lot more hype.
