Sometimes love appears where you least expect it. This series explores friendship, love, and family relationships.Considering how young they are, and that this is only Sea and Keen’s second series in leading roles, they did a really good job. In the BL world, it often takes time to get your own series, and many actors start out as the second couple in other shows before getting a lead role.

Heads slowly
The concept of the show started off promising with the mystery of how two people who can't stand each other, but are constantly drawn together nonetheless by their family, but mostly by each of their respective obsession with one another that they interpret as hate before some kind of supernatural force intervenes. The reveal that Jinn confessed to Jerome when they were very little kids and the latter handled it with bullying Jinn from elementary school till current day in college and worse Jinn's crush still hadn't gone away in the 10 years since is so sad. Every time Jinn tried to move on in the interim with different boyfriends, Jerome kept stealing them. It took supernatural intervention of visions from his dating alternate future for Jerome to realize his extremely weird fixation on Jinn is something else. Alternate because it seems to be a world where he didn't have these visions and still organically started dating Jinn at some point. It's weird that Jerome is so not immediately more concerned about his visions more since they literally take over his vision and senses into crashing his car.
I love Jerome's speech to Jinn that it took a life endangerment to realize his feelings and that Jinn can take all the time he needs since he's still not used to them being loving to each other and even if it means that they don't end up together in the end, at least they don't hate each other. It seemed like Jerome had a plan revealing his future seeing to Jinn's mom, but they they decide to do it in a traumatizing way of driving Jinn up to the boutique to see his dad there instead of just having her talk to him like an adult, maybe with Jerome present. It didn't really resolve with any kind of communication, it just does when Jinn calms down. I did like that non of the parents are surprised or care that they're dating.
There was a scene where the director wanted to angle their faces to be visible to the camera during the hug, but there was like a cavern between their faces. The angle for the Van and Farm kisses are weird too. Despite the weird angles, I do think the kiss scenes in general between the two leads is a slight improvement at times from their previous projects, though definitely still needs more direction to look organic. The actors in the same age range in other shows are about the same. It also depends on the individuals, experience, good direction and perhaps some coaching from intimacy coordinators if there are any.
Mai has been a one man comedy show from beginning to end. Van is big walking red flag, but I do like that he's taking it slow and just gradually changing for the better with how he treats Farm without instantly just asking him to date before he can be a proper boyfriend that Farm deserves. I love that his friends call him out early and often to treat Farm right. Farm finally learning Van's parents have both passed on and Van's living a lonely life with no commitments to any of his relationships though relying on them to take care of him until he betrays the relationship somehow.
The pacing really grinded down towards the end.

Thais don't generally sleep with the lights on.
People watching Thai BLs who have not been to Thailand may assume that Thais like to sleep in broad daylight with all the lights on. But be assured most Thais -- like the rest of us -- prefer to sleep in darkened rooms. I realize that budgets are constrained but one would hope that producers could figure out a way of suggesting darkness during the scenes in which people are supposed to be going to bed to sleep for the night. And while we're at it, couldn't the makeup artists have made some effort to suggest that Jinn and Jerome have aged a bit in the scenes set a decade in the future? It's really hard to summon the necessary levels of empathetic grief when one confronts a rosy Keen Suvijak supposedly on his death bed. I mean, he looks not a day over 15 with his peaches-and-cream complexion and silky black hair Yes, he is a superb actor but conveying impending death in a hospital bed without any help from make-up artists is beyond even his talents. At least in the earlier visions when he was supposed to have died in an auto crash, we see some fake blood trickling down his lovely face. Was this review helpful to you?

This promises to be a fun riot and super cute!!! Reminds me of Bad Buddy!
The starting of this drama instantly reminded me of the big daddy of enemies-to-lovers series - Bad Buddy....and my Pookies Sea-Keen made me fall in love with it, as always!!BL-needle Score: 8 High BL-ness
What's not to like!!... Sea-Keen with their delish chemistry, the endless banters, steeped in every known cute-trope possible, and a rest of the cast that is sooo easy on the eye....we definitely seem to have got a winner on our hands...
Sea-Keen are my favourite pair among the new ones from GMMTV...other than their bang-on chemistry, both have reasonably good acting skills that is improving with every drama, and they have also chosen diverse types of characters even when they have only done the same cutesy-tropey romance genre, which is quite commendable!
And the way Ep 1 ended...that's exactly what was prescribed - a car crash injury for J just serious enough to break his arm so that he has to be nursed, undressed, washed (wink wink), cared for, and melted to the exact temperature needed 😍 by the 'Boy of his dreams'
This looks all set to become my go to drama for tropey-comfort ...I knew my Pookies will not disappoint 🥰

jarring tonal shifts
Overall: the series didn't work as a romcom and it didn't work as a supernatural thriller. Adapted from the book "Nai Khrai Wa JJ Mai Thuk Kan" by My feline10> episodes about 40 minutes each. Airing on GMMTV's YouTube channel https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLszepnkojZI4HRwD1wzag844Ig0ZGT_Pl&si=xYCTDHhz8MsyjvGp (everywhere except Thailand)Content Warnings: bullying, punch, , manipulation/lying, death (it's complicated), attempted suicide (it's complicated), past: punch/hits, bullying, unwanted outing
Note: if you aren't into bickering/bullying start at 4/1, then skip 5/1 and 5/2 and watch from there.
What I Liked
- sweet moments
- tried something different
Room For Improvement
- unless I mixed up who was who in the flashbacks, the bullying felt more one sided
- the comedy sound effects didn't make things funny and did not work well with the serious visions repeatedly shown
- a character not talking to a character or his mom for multiple episodes
- did not like either character in the side couple, they each needed to work on their insecurities
- explaining the world building in the final episode was too late

The perfect enemy to lovers
I started watching this series because of SeaKeen, loved them on both my only boo and muteluv, but stayed also because of the storylineI feel like it's different from their previous work, sea's character is portrayed very well by him showing the character development steadly and without forcing anything, Keen's charcter, Jinn, also has a major development and a change of attitude after ep 6 and i loved how well he represented the change from an hot heades guy to a head over heels in love little potato
The story is a little bit different from the novel but i have to admit that i still like it, the differences are not so relevant in my opinion and the focus of the story is still there
Overall it feels like a must watch for whoever loved bad buddy with some supernatural elements in it!

Solution, we get Jerome medicated, and then we execute our second couple by firing squad
My life is over, and I have no idea how I am going to spend my Sundays now. This was a great show, and I would give my life to watch it again for the first time. I would give it a 9 out of 10! Okay, I am going to say what I liked, what I didn't, and then an episode overview.SEA KEEN BACK AT AGAIN BETTER THAN EVER. I loved them in only boo, and I am so glad that they have another show together. Something in the water because they both have grown into their features so much and look so fucking hot. They have great chemistry and also great acting skills. Just overall, I am so proud of them, and they brought this show to life. Surf and Java, I have seen Java before, but never Surf, and they did great in this. The character writing for them was a little meh, but they are good actors and have good fucking chemistry. Honorable mention, Javas fucking eyes. THEY ARE TO DIE FOR I SWEAR TO GOD, THEY ARE EVIL BUT GREAT. The plot was lowkey really interesting and fun, like I don't think I have seen something like it besides magical prophecy, and they did this differently, which was really fun. I enjoyed it a bunch and thought it was well done. I AM A SLUT FOR A GOOD RIVALS TO LOVERS SECRET CRUSH, HOLY MOLY. Great job. The start was good and reminded me of Bad Buddy, but different, so it was fun. This was beyond funny, holy fuck. A CRUSH THAT NEVER FADED PLOTLINE. OH MY GOD I WAS GONNA EXPLODE. Dead wife flashbacks. The flashlight bits were to die for and so cute, and they were trying to make Jinn be ungrateful, BUT IF MY PARENTS GOT BACK TOGETHER I WOULD ALWAYS BE FUCKING LIVID, HOLY FUCK. So good writing, besides, when he comes around, I would truly never. Good character development, though, with our main couple, nice to see. ALSO, THE MAIN COUPLE FREAKED THE FUCK OUT HOLY MOLY. Okay, that's it.
What I didn't like was Surf and Java's characters, just both overall poor writing, and I think that they could have done them better. Like, they had bullshit issues, and it just felt so irrelevant to the plot, and I wish they had connected it better, because the placement was very weird and awkward. HOW THE FUCK WAS HE ABLE TO TELL THE FUTURE? I AM SO LOST. Because I know that's why he crashed, but it felt very out of the blue, and I think they could have done that better. THE ENDING WITH THE DAD. I think that they should have done more with it. I know it shows character development that Jinn was okay with it, but they built to it for like 11 episodes, and then it just kind of happened, like in 3 minutes, and I'm like, dude, no way. I understand why they did it like that to show character development, but I wish they had done it better. Some of the plot felt kind of empty, so they could have done more with that. Random fucking side characters, bro shut the hell up. There's probably more, but that's all I could think of.
Overview time. " I miss them so much, and I don’t remember Sea being this sexy, cause what the fuck, and the side couple they’re so hot. Everyone is hot, and why can't we have hot freshmen like this at my university (I am a freshman btw lmao) im like da fuq." "Whoever did Sea's hair needs a raise because he looks FINE AS A MOTHER FUCKER." "SEAAAAA MY LORD HE JUST KEEPS GETTING BETTER. THEY ARE IN LOVE, YOUR HONOR. OH NOOOO. NOW I HAVE TO WAIT ANOTHER WEEK." "THAT LOOK FROM JAVA IS LETHAL. Oh my god. Dynamic change. I am obsessed and can't wait till next week. They need to strap me down, I'm so excited." "Nightmares every single time he sleeps, daydreams, or even zoning out, THIS WOULD BE AWFUL, SO FUCKING AWFUL. AND THEY ARE ALL ABOUT HIM." "I am trying to nitpick this show, but I am really enjoying it. I think the side couples placement feels a little awkward at times, but they are cute. I also think some of the background characters are so irrelevant, but that's fine bc they are hotttt. I think their chemistry got better and feels less awkward, but still has its charm, which is nice. I love them so much." "They’ve grown up so much, but on God, jinn is still that motherfucking kid who got punched on the basketball court for having a crush on him." "I think by his being able to tell the future, he’s messing with things he shouldn’t be messing with because he’s changing the route of how they fall in love. The outcomes are gonna be different so I think two things jinn needs to calm his ass down and just like think about stuff and Jerome needs to realize that you can’t mess with the future and expect everything to be the same because the main thing on why they were dating is that he never found the journal because he hid it really well and all this, but he went through and looked at that journal." There are levels to this. "Also, their kisses are still awkward as fuck, but it’s like a charming kind of awkward." "Also, their cuddling was really cute, and I’m low-key so obsessed with them. I can’t lie. Also, Sea has gorgeous, fucking lips." "J needs to be medicated, I swear. They connected those two parts very poorly." "Solution, we get Jerome medicated, and then we execute our second couple by firing squad." "I understand him with his dad because my dad also left my family, and if my parents go back together after I think it's been 10 years, I would be beyond angry. Genuinely holy fuck. But I also understand both sides. This flashlight shit is so cute." " Y’all are together because he loves you because he didn’t start having these dreams until after y’all got together, lock the fuck. If he didn’t love you, then he wouldn’t be going through all these motherfucking links to keep you safe. You are fucking dumb bitch. WHY ARE THEY SO FREAKED OUT? This scene would be so much more meaningful and like, oh my God, they’re talking out if this FREAK was not on top of him, get the fuck off my screen you gay bastards."
Devastated that it's over, love them to pieces. Okay bye!

All the characters learn that there are parts of life, especially in relationships and personal conflicts, that are out of our control, and accepting that is part of maturing and moving forward. Keen and Sea have amazing chemistry together; they make every role feel genuine, heartfelt, and believable. On top of that, their bickering is both ridiculously cute and surprisingly intense, which makes them perfect for a rivals/enemies-to-lovers storyline.
Java and Surf completely won me over with their honest interactions, and both delivered real emotional depth when the moment called for it. I even teared up a few times. But the ones who truly stole my heart were Jerome and Jinn’s moms. BL series often have a history of terrible parents, so seeing them was like a breath of fresh air. They’re loving and caring, but also firm when they need to be. Their scenes with Jinn and Jerome are just adorable.
And yes, JJ, oops, I mean Mai, I’ve already lit some incense for the GMMTV gods, hoping they’ll find you a faen!

Sharp Tongues, Soft Hearts: Head 2 Head and the Beauty of Emotional Slow Burns
Head 2 Head (Thai: ไหนใครว่าพวกมันไม่ถูกกัน) is a 2025 Thai BL series from GMMTV that starts out loud, chaotic, and sharp, then quietly grows into something far more heartfelt than you expect. Built around the familiar rivals-to-lovers setup, the series mixes campus life, humour, romance, and a touch of the supernatural to tell a story about two people who clash constantly, yet are far more connected than either of them is ready to admit. At its heart, the show asks a simple but emotionally loaded question: what if the person you can’t stand is actually the one you can’t lose?Jerome, or “J,” and Jinn are well known around campus for their constant bickering, competitive streaks, and unmistakable tension. They cross paths everywhere — same classes, same social circles, even next-door neighbours — making their rivalry impossible to escape. Things take a sudden turn when Jerome begins having disturbing visions of Jinn’s death, followed closely by an accident that leaves Jerome recovering under Jinn’s care. As they’re forced into closer proximity, the sharp edges of their relationship begin to soften. Through quiet moments, emotional honesty, and shared vulnerability, it becomes clear that their lives — and feelings — have been intertwined all along. As the future Jerome fears draws closer, both men are pushed to face not just their emotions, but the cost of staying silent and the courage it takes to choose each other.
Directed by New Siwaj Sawatmaneekul with a screenplay by Inthira Thanasarnsumrit, the series is led by Sea Dechchart Tasilp as Jerome, a loud, competitive presence hiding a deep fear rooted in his visions, and Keen Suwijak Piyanopharoj as Jinn, whose sharp wit slowly gives way to warmth and emotional steadiness. Their performances anchor the show, supported by a strong ensemble cast including Surf Patchara Silapasoonthorn as Farm, Java Bhobdhama Hansa as Van, JJ Chayakorn Jutamat as Mai, and a set of parents who bring warmth, humour, and grounding energy to the story.
I’ve followed Sea and Keen since their first pairing in Only Boo, so naturally I didn’t miss this one, even with its late Sunday-night timeslot. I was immediately drawn in by the first episode — their banter is quick, sharp, and genuinely entertaining, and seeing them play such different roles felt refreshing. This is the kind of series that sneaks up on you. It begins as something light and chaotic, and before you realise it, you’re emotionally invested. The episodes are short and the editing can feel abrupt at times, but honestly, the Jerome–Jinn dynamic makes it easy to forgive.
What makes Head 2 Head stand out is how it balances its tones. It’s a slice-of-life romance with supernatural elements, but it never lets those elements overshadow the emotional core. As the series progresses, the story grows heavier and more intense, yet it never loses its warmth or sense of fun. The shift feels natural, giving the narrative more depth without sacrificing its charm.
Jerome and Jinn are chaotic in the best way possible. Their rivalry is loud, messy, and filled with tension, but it quickly becomes clear that what looks like hostility is really just unresolved attraction. Every argument, every glare, every attempt to outdo the other feels charged with feeling. The show may label them as each other’s nightmare, but what you actually see is two people whose worlds quietly revolve around one another. Whether they’re arguing, racing, or simply sharing the same space, it’s always them — against each other and with each other.
The darker elements of the story are handled with care. The visions and dreams aren’t used as cheap shock tactics; instead, they slowly reshape the emotional tone of the series. Jerome’s decision to keep the truth from Jinn becomes its own source of tension, and while his reasoning is understandable, watching him carry that fear alone is quietly painful. Some viewers may find the dream sequences repetitive, but they’re meant to build on one another. Each vision adds weight, making the threat feel more real and more suffocating as the story unfolds.
The second couple, Van and Farm, adds another emotional layer to the show. Van’s self-destructive tendencies and unresolved grief make him difficult but compelling, while Farm’s patience and quiet devotion make their dynamic deeply affecting. Their relationship is messy, intense, and emotionally charged, and while Van’s actions are often frustrating, the writing never excuses them — it simply makes them understandable. That consistency in characterisation is one of the show’s biggest strengths.
Mai deserves special mention as the perpetually third-wheeling friend who somehow becomes the group’s voice of reason, and the parents — especially the mums — bring a warmth that grounds the story. Their presence adds balance and reminds you that love and care exist beyond romantic relationships.
The music is another highlight. The OST fits the story perfectly, especially “Turns Out It’s You,” which captures Jerome and Jinn’s emotional journey with startling accuracy. The other tracks, including “Secret Crush” and “Not a Crush?”, mirror each character’s inner world beautifully, while the background music quietly enhances key moments.
Performance-wise, the cast delivers across the board. Keen continues to impress with his emotional range and subtlety, while Sea shows noticeable growth, balancing playful energy with emotional vulnerability. Java and Surf bring strong chemistry to the second couple, and the supporting cast adds humour, warmth, and depth. Visually, the series benefits from a warm colour palette and atmospheric cinematography, though the editing can feel choppy at times, particularly in the latter half. The supernatural storyline could have been woven more smoothly, and the pacing occasionally rushes key moments, especially near the end.
Despite its flaws, Head 2 Head left a strong impression on me. It’s sincere, emotionally grounded, and deeply character-driven. The series takes its time, allowing its characters to struggle, reflect, and grow, which makes the emotional payoff feel earned. It’s not perfect, but it’s heartfelt, memorable, and surprisingly comforting. This is the kind of show you find yourself returning to, simply because you miss the characters and the world they inhabit.
