Cute enough

Sea and Keen were cute enough in this one, but their plot line just dragged on. I did enjoy the explanation at the end as to why Sea’s character was getting the vision, that was cool, but like does Keen’s character die in 10 years or was he able to fix the future? Keen’s characters conflict with his dad and mom dragged and then was too quickly resolved. Like I get why, he didn’t want his mom to die, but it was way too fast. Sea and Keen acted well and they have great chemistry. It was fun seeing both of them be goofy.

What I really liked about this show though was Surf and Java. I’m excited to see what they will do next, they were my favorite part of the show towards the end. They have a very natural chemistry with one another that is super enticing and genuine and that comes across in their performances. My favorite part of the series is when, I think episode 9, Java’s character apologizes to Surfs’s and admits the real reason why he doesn’t want to go home. Java’s range really showed through in that moment and I would love to see him do a more emotional series in the future, same with Surf. They’re both very talented and I will definitely be watching their next series’s.

SEAKEEN'S BURNING CHEMISTRY Y'ALL!!!!

This is not a masterpiece with exceptional plot line or cinematography, but it healed me! SeaKeen really has the CHEMISTRY, more than many popular BL CPs. They are so underrated! H2H is literally my comfort drama now and I've already rewatched twice. The main couple has the HEALTHIEST relationship dynamic, understanding and communication. Even the Episode 11 Cursed breakup only lasted less than 12 hours in the drama world and 2 minutes on screen for us. It has it's suspense, thriller and comedy. The plot is not phenomenal but it's great! Not your typical high school story. I really, really Love it!

Classic enemies-to-lovers done the soft way ?

Head 2 Head is one of those series you don’t watch to be emotionally destroyed — you watch it to feel warm. From the very start, it leans fully into the classic enemies-to-lovers trope, and honestly? It works. The tension is playful rather than cruel, the banter is fun, and watching them slowly soften toward each other is incredibly satisfying. Yes, it’s a bit predictable — you can see most of the beats coming — but that’s part of the charm. It’s comfort-watch predictable, not boring predictable. Every step toward romance feels gentle and earned, like the show wants you to relax and enjoy the ride instead of stressing you out.
The whole vibe reminds me so much of Bad Buddy mixed with Vice Versa: that same light, refreshing energy where misunderstandings don’t drag forever and the focus stays on connection, growth, and soft moments. The chemistry isn’t loud or dramatic, but quiet and sweet — stolen glances, small smiles, and that gradual “oh no, I care about you” realization.
Overall, Head 2 Head is cute, cozy, and easy to love. It’s not trying to reinvent the genre — it’s just giving us a comforting, soft enemies-to-lovers story that feels like a warm hug. Perfect for when you want something light, romantic, and genuinely enjoyable ✨💖

Fire the director

Head2Head was one of GMMTV's bl I was anticipating the most. The first episodes didn't disappoint: Jay's quirky persona and Jinn's savageness were just the perfect mix. The main actors are just amazing, giving out hilarious and catching performances and great chemistry. Everything goes downhill in the second half of the show: in those episodes NOTHING happens, everything revolves around the secondary couple. Van is toxic, manipulative, and Farm just gives in when it comes to him. Literally the two of them gave me the wildest headache (the acting, though, that was AWESOME. Kudos to Van's actor). The result is just as bad as you can imagine: everything concerning the mains' story has to happen with in two episodes. Ep 11 is chaotic, there's no time to process what is going on, and it reflects on the script. Without much sense, it looks like the director chose to give more space to the intimate scenes rather than just giving the characters proper communication.
It slowly fell from a 10-out-of-10 BL to a 7. I hope the main leads will get a better project with a better director this year.

Bubbly Romance & a Storyline with full of beans

"Head 2 Head" tells a delightful tale about the lives of two childhood friends who were once rivals but later fell in love. They end up living next to each other and attending the same class and school. Even though the idea of "enemies-to-lovers" is monotonous, the plot masterfully creates a special situation that highlights the loved one's protectiveness while incorporating some humorous elements.

As usual, "Sea-Keen" is a delightful couple, and throughout this series, their performance was charming and refreshing. The second lead, "Surf-Java," likewise gives a very poignant and mature performance. For my part, I am excited about their upcoming project. Finally, JJ Chayakorn did a fantastic job portraying his upbeat and friendly persona.

In summary, "Head 2 Head," the series, gave us a lovely year-end present with a charming and novel plot and a cast of adorable actors.

This is a wonderful BL where it mixes fantasy and reality

From the first episode the leads and second leads had wonderful chemistry. The series is about a guy that loses his partner and wishes to change the past, where his wish comes true making him able to change the past, this the fantasy part to the story. The series is fun to watch, can make you laugh and it can also make you cry. I recommend it, it was beautifully made. Their cute moments were always wonderful to watch.

SOMEONE PLEASEEEEE GIVE JJ A PARTNER IN A SERIES

555555555

Overall, this drama is adorable! I am officially in love with Keen and his acting—especially when he was “possessed” and screamed at his dad. SeaKeen’s chemistry was beyond my expectations from nongs jaa~

As for JavaSurf (or SurfJava), I skipped their story most of the time because I don’t like the character Van. He always makes me feel like punching him in the face.

The story itself is actually quite good, filled with hilarious moments, heartbreaking parts, and of course, we have the great lonesome king of being single who represents us fans/watchers—JJ! He made everything even more fun to watch.

However… I feel like this drama has several similarities to other series, such as Bad Buddy, followed by Final Destination, where death doesn’t like being cheated and follows you wherever you go. And in the finale, one scene even felt like The Boy Next World.

Maybe I’ve watched way too many series to notice these resemblances? (I feel like I really need to get a life, 555.)

It was so good

In the first 5 episode was good, maybe because it was similar to the novel or maybe just because SeaKeen and SurfJava have a great chemistry and their story were intruiguing. But right now the director point of view is starting to show and you can see both their storyline are going nowhere. Last 2 episodes really just running in circle, still no explanation to the visions and still no progression in Van growing. It's getting disappointing

A Beautiful Sunday Addition

I rarely write reviews for a show that's still ongoing but 3 episodes in and I felt compelled to do so.

I had no expectations coming into this show. When I watched the mock trailer for this in the lineup, I expected something entirely different. But I was determined that regardless, I will watch it for Sea and Keen. I saw a lot of folks comparing it to previously released shows and assumed many things which I find not true in the final output. This show, so far, is very good in its own right.

The main couple, J and Jinn are adorable. They are chaotic and funny and act exactly as one does in their youth. From the very beginning, I had always thought that they don't really hate each other at all, but because they have fallen into this cycle of fights and competition, they might have found it difficult to see themselves otherwise. The way they built that up until this 3rd episode is deliciously good.

The second couple are just as complicated but their approach is different. They don't force it and they don't try to be anything other than what they are. And because they are the way that they are, the blurred line between them is not acknowledged. It's something you'd understand when watching, and the two actors who play the roles really exhibit a good understanding of this.

And not to mention, the rest of the cast and characters have their own distinct personalities which are consistent, makes sense, and a whole lot of fun.

I am so glad that Sea and Keen have this show up their sleeves. Not only did they improve in their craft, their chemistry is stronger too and it makes this show all better. I feel good and optimistic about where this show is, and I only hope that it continues to be well thought out and consistent!

Based on the trailer and first episode <3

Based on the first episode, I can already tell Head 2 Head is going to be a really good series. I love that Sea is finally playing a more extroverted character instead of his usual quiet roles, it’s such a refreshing change. The dynamic between Jinn (Keen) and Jerome (Sea) is super fun to watch, especially seeing how easily Jinn gets irritated by Jerome’s personality.

I’m really looking forward to seeing how their relationship develops throughout the series. My expectations are pretty high, especially after how promising the trailer looked, and so far, episode one definitely didn’t disappoint.

(Don’t really base anything off of my ratings rn)

Nothing special

The pilot made me very excited for it but even after watching one ep and seeing spoilers, I wasn't able to watch more. I hoped the "enemies to lovers" would last there longer but already in ep1 they had some k-drama lovely moments which annoyed me. I didn't understand what was the point of them fighting then when even their mothers were best friends and wanted them to get along. Then I saw how poorly written was the second couple which had more angst which usually gets me more interested but based on other people's reviews, it was over the top with the toxicity. SeaKeen will finally have a different director than Golf who was kicked out of the company for his disrespectful behavior towards the actresses he worked with and New Siwaj who keeps repeating the same plots and scenes in his series and usually the actors are mocked for bad acting with his direction so I hope that Weirdo-101 will finally be the series which will make me fall in love with them because just four eps in MuTeLuv with a great director changed my perspective of them as I loved their "Hi" by my luck very much. I know Only Boo wasn't bad and had really great moments but after knowing what the director did, I'm seriously unable to watch his work, sry.
