These two have fucking done it again. I knew SeaKeen were going to deliver no matter the script, and deliver they fucking did. No crumbs were left behind. The obstetricians are fucking gagged out how well this was delivered. I don’t even know if it’s a flex to say I was there since the start, but I’m turning it into one, cuz the moment I watched Only Boo, I knew these two were gonna be one of my top three favourite pairings. And I was fucking right. There has not been a single miss from these two. Every single one of their series has been a 9.5/10 or higher, and it can only go up from here.

The plot was the classic enemies-to-lovers trope (or annoyances-to-lovers, shall we say) that everyone knows and loves. However, where this excels, where other series let me down, is how J and Jinn still maintained their personalities even after they got together. I swear, some series it’s like they have a 180-degree character change and completely forget that they were trying to kill each other an episode ago, but here, Jin and Jerome are still each other’s biggest annoyances while also being each other’s entire worlds. And this, this was exactly what made me fall in love with them so much.

You could tell how they loved each other, even before they got together; it was just the way, no matter what happened, they were always together. Their interests, friends, everything. Jerome could deny it all he wanted at the start, but he was literally obsessed with Jinn, just as much as Jinn was obsessed with him. Because really, you’re telling me Jerome was out here flirting with anyone Jinn was interested in, and Jinn was still head over heels for this man since he was fucking 7?! Losers! Both of them! The downbadism is terrible with both of them!

And can we just talk about their love for a second because I WANT WHAT THEY HAVE!!! The way Jinn had his reservations about Jerome actually liking him cuz of what happened in the past, legit shouting at the boy and ignoring him, but the moment Jerome goes missing, he’s the first one there!! And the fact that the moment Jerome realised he loved Jinn, boy dived in head first and didn’t fucking look back. Before, behind all their bickering, you could hear the annoyance, frustration and hate for each other. But slowly, behind every one of Jinn’s snide comments, you could tell he was nothing but a tsundere who loved all the attention, that, no matter what he says, he does in fact love J so much cuz he'll always remind him that he's been in love with him since he was 7 years old, that he's so fucking scared that J is going to get hurt or disappear and always holds onto him to tightly and treats him so gently. And behind all of Jerome’s teasing, which was done in spite before, now you hear and see all the love he holds for Jinn, how much he adores this boy and isn't afraid to let him know, will endure so much pain just because he wants Jinn to be alive. Their personalities never changed; it’s the meaning behind all the teasing, bickering, and fighting that changed into love. And it made so much sense that Jerome was the clingy one in the relationship, because that was basically what he was like even before, so the transition just felt natural.

And don’t even get me fucking started on the break-up scene!!! THESE TWO. I SWEAR TO GOD THESE TWO. I HATE THEM SO MUCH I CAN’T!!

“I’m done thinking it through.”

“I was done the moment you walked out my door.”

FUCK OFF. ACTUALLY FUCK OFF. THEY LOVE EACH OTHER SO MUCH THAT THEIR BREAK-UP DIDN’T EVEN LAST TWO SECONDS. That break-up was so short that the writers didn’t even bother showing us what happened between daytime and nighttime. And that is where I give the characters my biggest flowers. They get all the flowers. Jinn’s fear was totally valid. He was scared that he was being loved out of pity. Scared that Jerome only loved him cuz of the visions, and that one day he would leave him, just like his dad had on the family. But where other characters in Jinn’s position would take like two episodes to mull over this, he thought about his feelings. Thought about Jerome’s feelings. And realised, yeah, this boy does fucking love me. He has shown me he loves me. We love to see emotionally mature characters that think for more than two seconds. Fuck yes!

The bickering, the love, the tenderness, the adoration, the tension and sweetness. The COMMUNICATION!!! Ughhhh, I hate them so much!!!

Now, lets talk about the actual shtick of the show. But first of all, let me give Sea my love and applause. Can we just appreciate how much his acting is improving with every series? I didn’t even think his acting was that bad in Only Boo, but the difference! I’m so proud of him!! He did such an excellent job portraying a character like Jerome, and honestly speaking, Sea fits this archetype so fucking well. That shit-eating grin of his is hot. If Jinn didn’t want him, fucking hell, I would’ve taken him for myself. Like, everytime Jinn gazes at Jerome, that is the face of a man that has been yearning for YEARS. And yeah, I totally get Jinn. Cuz I too would want to hold onto Jerome. Have yall seen that man?? A piece of art, I tell you.

And he did so well in the emotional and hard-hitting scenes as well. You could tell he was in so much pain because of all these nightmares, could tell that he was in so much anguish because he just wanted Jinn to be okay and alive and be happy. Episode 5, the scene where Jinn stops him, and he breaks down. Absolute perfection. I replayed that scene so many times I think I broke my back button. You could tell that these dreams/visions were doing a number on him, with each time he says, “I don’t want to be like this anymore,” he gets more upset, and his voice breaks, and he starts crying because all of this was just too much, and he just didn’t know what to do. It was so beautiful that I started crying. And the way that, despite all of this pain eating up at him, to the point where he’ll force himself to sleep and get nosebleeds just to get these dreams, he still smiles and teases Jinn because that’s just who he is. He puts that shit-eating grin on because he doesn’t want anyone to worry, because all he cares about is Jinn and to make sure Jinn is okay and alive. Can you tell I fucking love Jerome? He’s my favourite character in all of this if it wasn’t clear already.

Now, the dreams. I saw so many people complaining that the dreams were so repetitive and that Jerome was doing nothing about it and that the eps were so slow blah blah blah. Like people, are we even watching the same show? I get that this is a P’New show, and it’s basically written in the stars to hate on him, but can we give this man credit when credit is due? Yes, I, too, have my reservations about him and don’t like all his directing in all his series, but he has his shows. Cough cough Until We Meet Again? Only 12%? Yeah, he hasn’t had his hits lately, but I know this man can do angst if you give him the right material. And this series? Yeah, this was it.

Those dreams were done perfectly. Shown as many times it was needed. Because if people actually paid attention instead of complaining, they would notice how, even though the dreams were repetitive, there were small differences in them because Jerome was slowly changing the future. Jinn finding out about his dad – the dream that was used the most. The first time J had it, the dream was set two years in the future. But slowly, you see the dream shift two years forward to the present time. Then, you notice how it doesn’t take place in the night anymore, but daytime. It’s small details like this that made this show so fucking interesting, and I don’t understand how people missed it so badly.

And don’t even get me started on how the dreams were done, because fucking hell, P’New this fucking genius. Don’t get used to it, my guy, but you can get a cookie for this cuz you fucking deserve it. When J had his first dream, we, the audience, and he himself could tell it was a dream. But little by little, as the eps go by, Jerome stops being able to tell what is real and what is a dream. At this point, we, the audience, can still tell. But then, ep 9 happens. The audience gets to experience what Jerome has been feeling this whole time – the feeling of not being able to tell reality from dreams. And did it work? Fuck yes. We all thought that Jinn crashed that fucking car, and bloody hell did it give us a heart attack. Well, at least my heart was racing. It was so subtly done that I don’t think many people realised it, but my god, was this small detail so brilliant. And again, Sea’s acting really sold this.

Now, onto my toxic boys. If JeromeJinn were the enemies to lovers, FarmVan were the lovers to enemies. And listen, do I love Van’s character? 100%. But do I like him? Fuck no. I don’t care how much of a pretty crier he is (Java, you absolute beauty, you don’t deserve any hate), he can fuck a cactus. I love the complexity of his character. I love that love doesn’t change this man overnight. I love that we didn’t solve his issues in two episodes and actually got to explore them. But if I ever see him on the streets, I will fight him. The way he made my blood boil is honestly amazing. My blood pressure was so high I had to take deep breaths cuz he was pissing me off. It’s one thing to be an asshole and not know it. It’s another thing to know you’re an asshole and still try and explain your fucking reasoning. Thank fucking god friends like Mai exist. Cuz that boy clocked his shit, ate him up, and kicked him to the curb. He set Van straight, and I fucking stood up and clapped.

And Farm, my beautiful, you don’t deserve this shit. But this boy has too much of a spot for Van to actually care. But when he blew the cigarette smoke onto Van’s face? Yeah, I know that’s right. I screamed and replayed because FUCK YES!! DO IT AGAIN!! At least he gave Van the cold shoulder, which I appreciate a lot. I thoroughly enjoyed watching Van suffer. Farm is better than me because I would have done more.

And on that note, can we talk about how real this friendship group is? One thing I love about shows like this is the friendship grounds. And sometimes, when they only have like five to four people in the group, the friendship part isn’t fully shown. But here, it was so adorable. The fact that they gave Van shit for his actions, but all cared for him cuz yeah, he’s a shithead, but he’s their shithead. The fact that even though Farm wasn’t comfortable with Van, but J was like, fuck that, you're my best friend and you're gonna be there no matter what. Just little things that make this show even more endearing to me.

And Mai. I can’t just not talk about Mai. Someone please give JJ a lover. I beg. This man is single in every universe, and it's so funny but so sad at the same time lmao. I just love how he never attends his classes and is just hanging out with the other four in their building. Friendship goals.

Other stuff:

- Um… what happened to the car racing? It was such an integral part of the plot, but then it just… vanished? I know Jerome was banned from racing by his mum, but I thought we’d at least get one more scene of them racing.

- Beam. Where did this boy disappear to after J dumped his ass? He seriously didn’t deserve to be caught between their rivalry. I felt so bad for him.

- The resolution with the dad. Honestly, I think Jinn forgave too easily. But at the same time, I really understand him, cuz being with Jerome really changed him as a person. Like his mum said. I’m just a petty bitch, cuz that man should be grovelling to get back in my life if I were Jinn.

- I appreciate that, despite Jerome being childish and silly, he still had moments where he was being mature. And you could tell when he was. It really added to the fact that he was being influenced by his future self.

- How the hell did Jinn's mum just believe Jerome that quickly?? Miss ma'am didn't even question it and was like, okay, so what should I do lmao. Love the efficiency, but there was just no way she didn't think this boy she loves like a son is absolute bonkers. And she told Jinn’s dad??? And he just what, accepted it as well?? I just know this man must have been like tf did everyone drink while I was gone.

- Keen’s acting! As much as I feel bad for him for not winning Project Alpha, I’m so happy that he decided to give acting a shot. He’s just so good at it. The scene when he finally confronted his dad and shouted his lungs out? Fucking hell. I was scared.

- The amount of hospital scenes. Fucking hell, they should be glad they're rich, cuz those medical bills are gonna be horrendous. I just know the doctor and all the staff are tired of their asses.

- Again. GIVE JJ A LOVER!!!

This series tricks you into thinking it’s a nice little enemies-to-lovers slice of life, campus romance, then hits you with a fucking truck and brings you through the torment train with Jerome. It did an excellent job at balancing the two perfectly, and I’m coming back to watch it ten times over again. I’m gonna miss having eps on Sundays. JeromeJinn, FarmVan, Mai, you have made my weekends, and have defo made it to my 2026 BL list!

And “Turns Out, It’s You” has to be the most addictive song ever. I have been looping that shit like it's drugs. Ugh, I love this show so much it physically hurts. I’m gonna miss them so much!!

Charming, if not a little flawed.

Okay. I really loved this drama. The wit was next level in the beginning. The banter when they were ‘enemies’ was everything I hoped it would be and more. It was super fun and entertaining. I loved how J and Jinn’s personalities really shined through their interactions with each other. The snide remarks, the facial expressions. They had me rolling those first couple episodes. The entire time I kept thinking ‘there’s no way they can keep up this momentum’ and while that was somewhat true, I love that neither lost their playful banter with each other, even after getting together. Even when lovey-dovey, the wit and humor was still there and I love that as it usually goes away completely with a premise like this.

The relationship J and Jinn had with their moms was beautiful. They were so supportive and wonderful. The moms weren't just there, they were part of the story and I loved seeing that. It was like a breath of fresh air honestly…and when they came out to the parents and the parents were basically like ‘okay, and this is news how? Anyway…” I laughed my ass off. It was just…so them. Very wholesome and amazing to watch. We need more parents like this.

I really loved how the drama mentioned Jinn having a crush on J since they were kids, J’s reaction to it, and Jinn later confronting J about how his reaction affected him. It was very thoughtful and well done. I have to give credit to the actors on this. They knew the assignment and gave it their A game. Okay….they MOSTLY gave it their A game. I can’t remember their kissing scenes from Only Boo! But uh…my dudes…what? You gave your all in every scene but when intimacy rolled in they were like ‘uh, what do we do?’ It was awkward. They looked uncomfortable, to be honest. They sold me on literally everything except desire/passion. You’re seriously telling me you love each other, want each other, but going to kiss like unsure middle schoolers trying it for the first time? Nah, bro. Still, they tried so…I can be nice and ignore that because one issue doesn’t override how great they were overall.

As for the side couple, I felt they had the same kissing problem, but still did it way better. Makes me wonder if it was a director issue more than an acting issue. I’ll be fair, I wasn’t really into the second couple. Van was…a bit of a dick, and I really like how the characters kept calling him out on it. He seriously annoyed me…but he was also very real-coded. People like him are everywhere I get it. I can also admit that I like how he tried to change. Do I think they’d work long term? Probably not, but this is fantasy so why not believe they will?

For the most part, the plot landed, though it did have some tropes that are often overused. Gay for you? J probably is for Jinn. Accidental kiss? Right on the cheek, my guy, but hey no mouths magnetically finding each other, so win? Random illness from nowhere? Who knows? I don’t. The future J saw wasn’t really clear on that. Episode 11 breakup curse? You got it, but hey, it only lasts like five minutes. Good job, drama. You were so close to not doing it at all. A for effort. Bad communication? A bit, yeah…to the point it was frustrating at times, but I also get why they did it. It went on too long and could have been tightened, but hey, it didn’t kill my enjoyment, so no harm done in the long run. Same with Jinn and his dad. More time could have been spent on that, but whatever. It is what it is and I still loved what it delivered. Not every gift needs perfect wrapping.

The only thing I can truly say bothered me in this drama was the editing. Who’s bright idea was it to pivot between couples in what often felt mid-scene? Just when things were getting good they’d change couples. Like, what? Wait, no – go back, they weren’t done yet, wtf?! It was grating. I get why for pacing reasons. They only had so much time, but wow was it jarring. Talk about whiplash. Despite that though, I loved the drama and can’t wait to see more from SeaKeen.

There's just something about Head 2 Head that pulls me back every single time. My watchlist is overflowing with new shows, yet I always choose to rewatch this gem instead. SeaKeen? Absolutely phenomenal—they deliver such raw, complex emotions in every glance and line, making their characters feel painfully real. And SurfJava? Pure fresh energy that breathes new life into every scene they touch. I'm already counting down for more of what they'll bring. It's addictive, layered, and deeply satisfying—no wonder I can't stay away. Head 2 Head isn't just a show; it's an obsession I gladly surrender to.

Rivals to lovers with a twist!

Head 2 head was a show that really surprised me. After watching Sea and Keen in Only Boo, I wasn't quite sure how much to expect from them - it seemed like GMM was condemning another couple to a life of school uniforms and solidly mid romances. However, h2h was a lot more than that!

J (Sea) and Jinn (Keen) have been rivals from the start, despite their parents being best friends. The two have competed since childhood, and show no signs of stopping now that they're both fashion design majors at the same college. However, when J gets hurt in an accident while racing Jinn, their parents force them to live together so Jinn can care for J and the two can learn to get along. Their relationship begins to change as J starts seeing visions of horrible things happening to Jinn and starts trying to prevent them - but not every tragedy can be prevented, no matter how hard J tries.

I've seen a lot of people relate this show to Bad Buddy, and truly I see the resemblance, though I loved the addition of visions of the future, the internal struggle of "do I love him because I love him now, or because I know in the future I will love him," and the need to change what the visions show. I thought it added a really nice layer of complexity to the show! The only downside of this show was the repetition in the beginning, where it feels like these boys are in the hospital more than they're at school. I felt like they could have instead developed some of the plot points of the future visions a bit more, but I still REALLY enjoyed this show. Not only did Sea and Keen do an INCREDIBLE job portraying these characters, but the other characters in the show were equally fun to watch. The second couple, played by Surf and Java, stole the show in some of the episodes. The relationship built on Java's character's idea of "I can't lose him, but I don't quite love him," was SO interesting. Frankly, I'd watch a whole series about their characters too. I didn't think any conflict was overly drawn out, which I appreciated, and I could see this becoming a comfort show for sure. The sweet relationship that slowly develops between rivals paired with the ups and downs of the side couple's relationship made for a perfectly balanced show. Definitely give this one a shot!

A perfect match

SeaKeen dominate their latest show, with fantastic chemistry and very solid performances from both of them. The bar was set high by "MuTeLuv: 'Hi' by My Luck" and risen even higher with "Head 2 Head". While the show is not free from problems, I enjoyed it immensely and consider the best of SeaKeen project so far.

Plot and writing
I applaud the use of the "enemies to lovers" premise, which doesn’t get old and – properly developed and scripted – allows actors to show more of their range than it is the case with more traditional love stories. In H2H this premise is used in a smart way and effectively combined with elements of the supernatural.
The writing is a bit uneven. It’s generally good when it comes to the main couple, allowing for nice pacing and buildup of Jinn’s and Jerome’s romantic relationship; the show took just the right amount of time to make that believable and enjoyable at the same time. Jerome’s and Beam’s last scene in ep. 3 is a testament to the quality of writing – it’s short, but neatly concludes business between those two characters (which in itself was necessary for the Jerome-Jinn storyline to progress), showing Beam as more than a trophy boyfriend (he’s properly roasting Jerome for what he did). More importantly, it shows Jerome as both a relatable character and decent person: he’s embarrassed by how he treated Beam, clearly wanted to avoid a confrontation with him and defends Jinn – taking all the blame. A lesser script would omit a scene like that or turn it into pure cringe – here it was done very skillfully. That being said, the script seems to dwell too long on certain issues (like Jerome’s struggle with his visions), hence the series felt like it lost some steam mid-season, with the main plot almost stalled for 1-2 episodes. Shortening the series to 10 episodes was both possible and advisable; either that or the main plot should have been expanded to properly fill all 12 episodes with non-repetitive content.
Writing for the secondary/support couple isn’t as good: one almost wishes Van and Farm break up for good, with Van’s character arc feeling contrived, forced and unrealistic; the show sold me on this only due to Java’s convincing performance. The second couple is also clearly less developed, with Farm’s character almost nonexistent – fortunately Van has a little more depth.
I have heavily criticized previous work of Inthira Thanasarnsumrit, indicated as the sole screenwriter for H2H, for the shows she wrote or co-wrote suffered from what I called "multiple couples syndrome" and the resulting underdevelopment and lack of proper characterization; this affliction plagued "Between Us", "We Are" and "Perfect 10 Liners". This time I have to give her praise for generally good work. Also: Jerome’s "but I do love you!" from episode 11 reminded me of a similar line by Win (portrayed by Boun Noppanut Guntachai) from episode 11 of "Between Us".
On another note: no breakup and no time jump – in a GMMTV-made BL! More than that: writing for ep. 11 seemed to be making fun of BL breakups – which felt really good.

Performances
Sharp as always, Keen remains among my favorite BL actors and singers. H2H solidifies his status with a very good performance – funny, emotional and touching. Visibly comfortable with the material he had to work with, Keen made Jinn a complex and strong character.
Back in "Only Boo!" Sea was clearly several steps behind Keen – now the distance is far smaller. Already in "MuTeLuv: 'Hi' by My Luck" we could see how much Sea’s acting has improved – H2H is his best and strongest performance to date. Sea has a firm grip on the complicated role of Jerome, convincingly displaying all facets of the character – from being annoying and obnoxious through being confused and feeling the weight of the future on his shoulders to being caring and loving. With just 3 roles in 2 years Sea went from inspired amateur to gifted actor; he’s also able to competently deliver a song. Amazing progress.
Performances of Keen and Sea, their chemistry and interactions (bickering, banter and love) are what makes the story work, combining comedy and romance with more serious and even somber elements. In less skilled hands this volatile mix would result in a disaster – Sea and Keen handled it properly, giving us a very good show.
Java deserves praise for making Van – basically an unlikeable douchebag – someone to root for. Unlike Farm, Van got a proper background – and Java used it fully. Van talking about his house and why he doesn't want to be there in episode 11 was Java's best delivery so far in any show. It was believable and restrained – I call it actual acting.

Music
In a classic GMMTV fashion H2H has a soundtrack consisting exclusively of songs performed by the main cast. "คิดว่าไม่ แต่ดันใช่ (Turns Out It's You)", the opening credits song, was performed by Keen and Sea – it’s energetic and fun, very fitting for the show. Two songs were performed individually by Sea – "จริงๆ ชอบเธอ (Secret Crush)" – and Keen – "ไหนว่าไม่ชอบ (Not a Crush?)". Keen is a good singer and his share of the H2H OST is no surprise; Sea’s contribution, on the other hand, I was not expecting – and he proved more than capable in this regard (though I wouldn’t call him a singer). The fourth and last part of the OST is "เพื่อนข้างๆ (Friend Next Door)" by Java and Surf. While thematically it fits the show, I’m not convinced the song had to be performed by this duo.

Final thoughts
SeaKeen is one of only 4 BL ships in which I like and respect both members, as well as their work together (the others being YinWar, BounPrem and MarkOhm); this is mainly due to how well ship members are matched. In this particular case it is a nearly perfect match. "Head 2 Head" – which rests mostly on Sea and Keen – convinced me that my assessment of this ship was correct: it was and stays strong, sailing towards more BL adventures that will delight me.

SeaKeen portrays a love that overcomes time, death, fate, and a middling script

I loved Jerome and Jinn as characters, and I was fully invested in their love, which is why I stayed with this show until the end. Believing in forever is hard, but with these two, I can see it.

It's frustrating that for a series built around alternate realities, death visions, and waking dreams, the script loses focus due to a generic playboy subplot, even though the actors do their best to portray it. As a result, many of the most compelling plot points are resolved too quickly, and only in the final two episodes.

That said, Sea and Keen once again deliver strong character work, shaping Jerome and Jinn into fully realized, imperfect people. Keen plays Jinn as an emotionally perceptive hot-tempered softie, and Sea plays J as playful and mischievous but also fiercely loving. Together, their love transcends universes, literally.

The sheer amount of hugs, kisses, cuddles, and verbal affirmations goes a long way in making J and Jinn’s relationship feel real and grounded, even with all the supernatural elements present. More of this, please. Also, anytime Jinn uses his boyfriend's full name, it's intense.

A cute BL rom-com with a pinch of the supernatural

Head 2 Head is a cute, cozy BL rom-com with a pinch of the supernatural that keeps things fun. There are two couples sharing the spotlight almost evenly, and both bring something different to the table.

Jinn and Jerome deliver a classic rivals-to-lovers energy, full of witty banter and playful tension. Their chemistry is warm and genuinely sweet. I honestly did not expect that much kissing and intimacy, but it’s handled in a healthy, respectful way that suits the young leads. The supernatural aspect with the Jerome being able to see the future and trying to prevent bad things from happening is what adds depth to the romance between him and Jinn.

Van and Farm’s pairing leans into more complex emotional territory. Their story has no supernatural elements and instead relies on heavier internal conflicts, producing a few intense, well-played scenes. I personally really felt for Van when he finally cried in the scene with the cigarette on the balcony after the fallout was also pretty good. You really do get all the feels too with Farm’s anger. Their intimacy is just a dash spicier. I think the actors match that level better.

Both of these pairings are new to me, but they spark good chemistry. The acting was natural. It could use polish in places, but the performers show real promise and charm. I also have seen actors with a lot more industry experience acting worse. I am positive that these new actors are all working on their skills as they prepare for the next project.

If you want a college-set BL that focuses on romance, Head 2 Head doesn’t waste time. It devotes about 90% of its attention to the relationships and keeps the supporting cast lean so the love stories stay front and center.

The writing—especially the dialogue and jokes—is a highlight. There are plenty of laugh-out-loud moments and clever exchanges that make the show highly rewatchable.

Bottom line: If you want straightforward, feel-good romance without toxic baggage and without overthinking, Head 2 Head is a great pick.

Cute enough

Sea and Keen were cute enough in this one, but their plot line just dragged on. I did enjoy the explanation at the end as to why Sea’s character was getting the vision, that was cool, but like does Keen’s character die in 10 years or was he able to fix the future? Keen’s characters conflict with his dad and mom dragged and then was too quickly resolved. Like I get why, he didn’t want his mom to die, but it was way too fast. Sea and Keen acted well and they have great chemistry. It was fun seeing both of them be goofy.

What I really liked about this show though was Surf and Java. I’m excited to see what they will do next, they were my favorite part of the show towards the end. They have a very natural chemistry with one another that is super enticing and genuine and that comes across in their performances. My favorite part of the series is when, I think episode 9, Java’s character apologizes to Surfs’s and admits the real reason why he doesn’t want to go home. Java’s range really showed through in that moment and I would love to see him do a more emotional series in the future, same with Surf. They’re both very talented and I will definitely be watching their next series’s.

SEAKEEN'S BURNING CHEMISTRY Y'ALL!!!!

This is not a masterpiece with exceptional plot line or cinematography, but it healed me! SeaKeen really has the CHEMISTRY, more than many popular BL CPs. They are so underrated! H2H is literally my comfort drama now and I've already rewatched twice. The main couple has the HEALTHIEST relationship dynamic, understanding and communication. Even the Episode 11 Cursed breakup only lasted less than 12 hours in the drama world and 2 minutes on screen for us. It has it's suspense, thriller and comedy. The plot is not phenomenal but it's great! Not your typical high school story. I really, really Love it!

Classic enemies-to-lovers done the soft way ?

Head 2 Head is one of those series you don’t watch to be emotionally destroyed — you watch it to feel warm. From the very start, it leans fully into the classic enemies-to-lovers trope, and honestly? It works. The tension is playful rather than cruel, the banter is fun, and watching them slowly soften toward each other is incredibly satisfying. Yes, it’s a bit predictable — you can see most of the beats coming — but that’s part of the charm. It’s comfort-watch predictable, not boring predictable. Every step toward romance feels gentle and earned, like the show wants you to relax and enjoy the ride instead of stressing you out.
The whole vibe reminds me so much of Bad Buddy mixed with Vice Versa: that same light, refreshing energy where misunderstandings don’t drag forever and the focus stays on connection, growth, and soft moments. The chemistry isn’t loud or dramatic, but quiet and sweet — stolen glances, small smiles, and that gradual “oh no, I care about you” realization.
Overall, Head 2 Head is cute, cozy, and easy to love. It’s not trying to reinvent the genre — it’s just giving us a comforting, soft enemies-to-lovers story that feels like a warm hug. Perfect for when you want something light, romantic, and genuinely enjoyable ✨💖

Fire the director

Head2Head was one of GMMTV's bl I was anticipating the most. The first episodes didn't disappoint: Jay's quirky persona and Jinn's savageness were just the perfect mix. The main actors are just amazing, giving out hilarious and catching performances and great chemistry. Everything goes downhill in the second half of the show: in those episodes NOTHING happens, everything revolves around the secondary couple. Van is toxic, manipulative, and Farm just gives in when it comes to him. Literally the two of them gave me the wildest headache (the acting, though, that was AWESOME. Kudos to Van's actor). The result is just as bad as you can imagine: everything concerning the mains' story has to happen with in two episodes. Ep 11 is chaotic, there's no time to process what is going on, and it reflects on the script. Without much sense, it looks like the director chose to give more space to the intimate scenes rather than just giving the characters proper communication.
It slowly fell from a 10-out-of-10 BL to a 7. I hope the main leads will get a better project with a better director this year.
