Was this review helpful to you?
This series brings hope for a loner like me
If you like watching handsome men loving each other, this series is for you. If you lost your faith in love, this series is definitely for you. The plot is not really great but it reminds us of our daily life, our relationships with family and friends. I really love a quote in this series. It stated that love is above all. Even though I haven’t experienced true love but somehow I believe that, maybe it’s just me simply long for a thing that any creature needs. JimmySea’s acting are on point. They improved a lot. If you watched their previous series, there’s no reason to skip this one!Was this review helpful to you?

This series was a wonderful discovery for me.I found it really touching, with endearing and well-portrayed characters.
I felt a little sorry for Kan's character, even though his jealousy, which drives him to want to kill his friend, seemed a little exaggerated to me. On the other hand, First played his role as the villain really well, and as always, his acting is excellent.
Jimmy (Thap) and Sea (In) have great chemistry on screen, and it's always nice to see them acting together.
Overall, I really enjoyed this series and had a great time watching it. I'm even a little sad that it's already over.

Really, really good. The story, pacing, and acting were all on point. The relationship was very green flag and sweet on both sides.I really enjoyed the fact that both partners were complete equals. Both of them take care of each other, both of them pay for things, and neither of them are domineering or controlling. Although Thap took the lead early on since In was inexperienced and had never been in a relationship, by the end, In was also initiating caring gestures and both emotional and physical affection. In the second NC scene, Thap tells In that he took care of In last time, and tells In to take care of him this time. And at the end, In comforts Thap emotionally after Kan’s betrayal.
The only thing I would say I wished there was more of was In doing small gestures to care for Thap. Thap was always doing small things, like bringing an umbrella to keep In out of the sun, putting his hand on the car frame to prevent In from hitting his head, helping with his hand injury when he noticed it was acting up, etc. I wanted to see more of that minor, day-to-day type care reciprocated from In.
There was a brief period at the beginning of their romantic relationship where In was shying away from from Thap’s affection (which I didn’t like since it can read like dub con), but he gets over it relatively quickly, and Thap always backed off when In told him to. There’s one scene where Thap is taking off In’s shirt to give him a sponge bath and In grabs his shirt sleeve, so Thap immediately backs off and turns away so In can take his own shirt off. That kind of fine-tuned non-verbal consent is top-tier.
There were a few scenes that involved crossing boundaries, but it was overall a very green flag romance compared to most BLs. There are two scenes where In is hysterical / upset and keeps telling Thap not to touch him, but Thap keeps grabbing at him anyways. And there was one scene where Thap blocks In up against the wall and puts his face really close, supposedly to check if his hair was wet (a typical BL flirting move, basically), but In seemed uncomfortable. And also there’s the brief period where In was shying away from and seemed uncomfortable with Thap’s affection right when they’re first getting together.
There were scenes on both sides where one character wanted the other to do or not do something because they wanted the best for the other person. A lot of the time in BLs, this comes off as controlling behavior. Like forcing someone to do something that you perceive to be in their best interest, regardless of their own thoughts or feelings on the matter. That’s not the case here, and that was incredibly refreshing. Help, support, and care were offered, but not forced.
When Thap tells In to get unsweetened soy milk to avoid sugar or to blow dry his hair so he doesn’t get a cold, he does not coerce, manipulate, guilt, physically maneuver, or otherwise force In into listening to him. In is fully capable of and does say no if he doesn’t want to listen. They also have an actual conversation about boundaries (!!), during which In tells Thap to stop nagging and Thap agrees. In also wants Thap to run away and to not make his presence known to the public because he’s concerned about Thap’s safety. Again, he gets upset and emotional given the severity of the situation, but he does not force Thap to do what he says. And they have actual conversations - Thap agrees to run away and be more considerate about his safety, but doesn’t want to stay hidden away from the locals and In doesn’t force him to despite not liking it. There’s a mutual understanding that despite the concern for each other’s wellbeing, In is still going to help the people in his visions even if it puts his health at risk, and Thap is still going to help people that are hurt even if it may publicize his location and put his life in danger. There’s no pressuring or guilting or demanding each other stop something important to them in the name of “caring”.
I really valued the communication. They discuss and agree on boundaries, and there are apologies and adjustments when those are broken (like Thap fixing In parents’ furniture unknowingly after agreeing not to touch his stuff). They have an actual conversation about the feasibility of a long term relationship given their differing beliefs.
The ending was also great. There was pretty much a full episode left to give them a proper HEA and wrap up all loose ends. So many BLs only have a few minutes at the end where the couple is finally together and all the conflicts are resolved, and it often feels rushed and unsatisfying. That’s not the case here. I really enjoyed the 2 ring proposal. I didn’t get why they had Thap forgive Kan though, and I also didn’t understand In’s career because he graduated college but is a fortune teller that no longer does readings…so how exactly is he making money?
The one thing I didn’t like was the ex drama in episodes 7 and 8. Thap and Wan dated back in college, and Thap hasn’t dated anyone since, although he seems completely over him both mentally and emotionally. When Wan comes back, Thap is not shy about saying he’s dating In and shutting him down. But they’re realistic exes, so they’re kind and friendly to one another, and they have the longest ever closure conversation about the downfall of their relationship, the mistakes they made, and well wishes for each other’s futures. I just didn’t want to see all that, given that In was simultaneously having a breakdown due to his own inferiority complex.
Speaking of, I understand In’s discomfort with the ex being the one to help Thap when In couldn’t save him (by donating a rare blood type), with Thap’s mom saying Thap and the ex should get back together, and also with the ex posting a very couple-y type photo on Instagram. But Thap had just gotten shot and In didn’t come see him at all, even if he did go to the hospital and stay outside the room. He essentially abandoned Thap emotionally immediately after he just got shot to prioritize his own feelings, and that wasn’t fair.
The only thing that fell a bit flat for me was the kissing. There are a couple NC scenes, mainly just shirtless kissing and a cutaway with implied sex. They’re not very steamy, but they are sweet. And there’s a lot of overall physical affection, including casual kissing, which I felt solidified the couple. The problem was the actual quality of the kissing. Either the actors weren’t opening their mouths wide enough, or they weren’t matching each other’s mouth movements well, because the kissing looked really bad on camera. Simultaneously chaste, like they were trying to open their mouths as little as possible, and like they were trying to eat each other’s mouths (and not in a good way). The second couple had much less screen time and not much kissing, but they knew how to kiss for the camera.

Liked it very much!
After Twilight Jimmy and Sea became one of my favorite BL couples. The dynamics and chemistry between them are so good.Sea is an amazing actor, in this drama his acting skills are proven once more. When he cries you can't help to cry with him because you just feel his pain, but he also nails other emotions like being drunk, happy etc.
Jimmy is also a very good actor, they are a perfect match!
I liked the story, i really like magic related stories. The music and visuals were beautiful.
And i always like it when a series has little eastereggs at the end of an episode. The overall acting was very good.
The second couple didn't really deliver for me. They were not bad, but also not very rememberable.
Definatly a must watch!

I actually don't know why everything was just perfect for me.
Honestly, I don't know how others saw Jimmy and Sea onto the characters, but I only saw Thap and In, whom I read about in the novel (except for the last scene lol). I mostly expected all that will happen in the series, as it is an adapted novel, and I truly believe that it is every author's dream to truly see the character they wrote into reality being well portrayed. They played the right emotion in every scene, even the right punch for the comedy, drama, and romance. Truly, Jimmy and Sea never disappoints with their acting. It wasn't a perfect storyline, and some will find it cliché. The story has a great sequence; there are things that could've been better, but I already love how it is now, and as a reader and a watcher, it was perfect how it was done. The story talked about life that was sometimes overlooked by people. Talking about how death is a topic we tend to see as something normal, an escape, or an end. But no one has actually talked about those who are grieving, those who are left behind. And the oldest sibling trauma. Others will find it an overrated topic, but behind the conversation that happened is what was left unsaid for those who are really facing it. Other than all the issues and the plot, I found Love very interesting with their story. I just found love in every form that will make you see the goodness of having such to hold and being held onto. They portrayed such a very genuine and pure love that I even questioned if I'll find it in reality.
I really can't find the right words to describe the series; it was just so perfect for me. I want to ask for a few more episodes that will just make me see the life of Thap and In.

I Prophesize More Sea In My Future
Ever since 'Last Twilight' I cannot get these two out of my head and off my radar. I adore Sea and Jimmy, especially Sea. I think they have great chemistry, they know how to bring the emotional depth to their characters. I enjoyed the overall premise of this show with the tarot reading (which I also do in my personal life) and mysterious hitman. Though I called the culprit pretty quickly, like why else would First be here without Kaotung lets me so forreal. The side couple in this was pretty unneeded, they didn't add anything to the story. Overall, I enjoyed this show but it could've been and should've been so much more. And those trying to stick up for First's character...no just no. I don't care if he's salty over not being as good as Jimmy's character, like we don't just go out and try to have our supposed friends murdered. What he was doing is not excusable, and I wish the show had really brought that home to the viewers. Also the amount of callbacks to 'Last Twilight' in this with the sun glasses, playing the guitar at the campfire, etc. Had me cracking upppp

One person you miss...
I really loved this series which tells on one hand the grief, loneliness and loss after a bereavement for In (Sea) , a fortuneteller (the death of his parents) sometimes the incomprehension due to a lack of dialogue for Thap (Jimmy) and his father and on the other hand, the jealousy and envy and greed For Kan (first) and lead to murder for Kasidis that can drive people crazy till murder
the chemistry between Jimmy/Sea is undeniable
overall, they were all very good actors
Very good casting
One small caveat : the second couple, Ton and Pong, lacked scenes. They were a bit sidelined.
Wonderful landscapes
I loved the village and the villager
I'll end this review with a quote from the French writer and poet Lamartine, which sums up the situation well:
"un seul être vous manque et tout est dépeuplé"
"Only one person you miss and everything is depopulated"

Predictable, but the romance made it worth it
Every time a new JimmySea show starts airing, I remember how enjoyable it is to watch them work together. Their chemistry just feels so natural, and their ability to portray the characters in My Magic Prophecy was incredible. Was this the most innovative, creative show? No. BUT the relationship was great and I thoroughly enjoyed the twists in the story, even though they were fairly predictable. In (Sea) is a tarot reader, but he's more than just another fortune teller - he is truly clairvoyant, and often gets visions of bad things happening to people close to him. However, the stronger the vision, the larger the toll it takes on him, and he often ends up hurt because of it. When he sees his friend's older brother Dr. Thap (Jimmy) getting killed, he ends up stopping it from happening, but it seems this wasn't a one-off encounter. Thap's life is quickly put in danger after he treats a critical patient, and it's unclear who wants this patient dead so badly as to kill the doctor. To protect himself and his family, Thap stays with In in In's late parents house in a small village, and while the two do not see eye to eye at first, a relationship slowly forms between them.
I thought this show was super well done. Jimmy and Sea have amazing chemistry as Thap and In, and I loved the way the relationship progressed. I also really enjoyed the parallel investigation storyline, with the doctors and cops trying to figure out how a patient ended up in the hospital, the foul play involved, and the threats to Thap's life. While most of the twists in the case were predictable, it was still super fun to watch it play out. I do think the highlight of the show is the relationship though. It is truly such a sweet and caring relationship between these characters, and the way they help each other through the struggles is fantastic. Definitely worth watching for that!!

plot analysis
first of all I loved the theme of the story the whole fortune teller doctor dynamics was really refreshing the shows main aim was focusing more on mental health and the villain drama was looking like a sub plot that was being dealt with secondary . In has some undealt with past trauma that is making him view and see the home he lived in with his parents being a place that carries memories of them that's why he pushed Thap after finding out he broke his parents rocking chair Thap had to put his pride down and try to understand In more since they are so different from each other and he's not as superstitious as In I loved the I don't believe in cards but I believe in you line mostly .about the villain the series was more than obvious about it's villain and letting the audience know who the villain is at an early stage but the characters are still figuring out who the villain was. why are people behaving as if obvious villains havent been done before that it tones down the plot infact plot twist villains are being overdone out here than obvious villains I loved the way this one didn't ride with the expectations of the plot twist villain mabyhad in mind the series looked more unpredictable to many since y'all always expect plot twists than straight forward stuff more and there is no need of comparing this with what you are used to seeing
as usual gmmtv always give promising pilots but the final outcome of the stories are being toned down this habit of them shooting pilots without actually having to start working on these series they are presenting to the audience for their line up isn't helping their case plus I get it many if their shows try to cater more of their younger audience than the older audience
jimmysea are a fantastic pair with great acting skills no doubt about that first served his role to perfection that's a no brainier the second couple surprised me with how they ignite their chemistry with such short screentime overally the series was a good watch for this I would recommend for people to stop going in with the purpose of making comparisons with the other series they've watched just go with the flow of how the series is and tone down the overthinking of the story cause the series itself has already engaged you wyth the obvious villain arc
I don't get it why the description of it is romance comedy is the comedy in the room with us
the show is a 9.5 out of 10 cause the actors can act there and they carried the plot let me hope akd pray that next time jimmysea will get another heavy themed story they are a mature couple and they deserve a much intense storyline

When a cast just hits every time
Solid cast, solid acting.Honestly impressed, there wasn’t a single episode I didn’t enjoy.
This is what happens when you put that many great actors in one project.
JimmySea’s chemistry was on point as always, and the acting was honestly masterful (wouldn’t expect anything less)
With some recent disappointments, it was refreshing to finally watch something I genuinely enjoyed from start to finish.
Overall super enjoyable and really cute.
Loved First as the villain, they need to give my man more roles like this.

all your perfect imperfections
I love them so much I might explode. This was such a good show and you should definitely watch it. I would give it a 9.5 out of 10 (welcome to the 9.5 crew). So let's get into it.Starting off with what I liked. Everything. Can I say that? Sea and Jimmy are my actual daddies and I love everything they are in. Sea’s acting as usual was immaculate and had me believing he actually had powers lmaooo. Jimmy as well, he is really good with the nonchalant head over heels characters. Oh my god, I love them. Their chemistry was especially good in this and I loved everything about it. I enjoyed the cards at the start of each episode I think that was really cute. AHH AND THE HOUSE. I like how the house symbolizes their relationship in a way and also Seas' past trauma and I low-key thought that was really interesting and I very very much enjoyed that. Also that random ass bathroom scene. YES. Whoever put that in 100 times yes because it’s truly a delight. I like the plot in this, I thought it was cute, wasn’t overly dramatic, but it also had like some good aspects to it and it was just a nice watch. Well I think the villain had a lot of flaws. But I like the final standoff bit. Where like Jimmy shoves First in the wall and he does dent the wall, which was cool but I really enjoyed that for some reason and it was like I’m literally your friend why would you ever try to kill me and bro didnt have a good reason and I thought that was interesting. I was gonna put more on the villain on what I didn’t like but now that I’m thinking about it I thought it was pretty interesting because like jealousy is one hell of a thing and he’s like he didn’t have a reason to do it because this guy is like he’s genuinely your best friend and you betrayed him like that and try to kill him and he’s like I don’t even have a reason and I think that that’s a good Villain part. NUT THE MUTE BROTHERRRR. He’s literally loved my life, and I would give my life for him not even trying to be dramatic. The ending like the interview part was the cutest fucking thing ever I might explode into 1 million pieces. Maybe it’s because it felt like Jimmy Sea instead of thap and in, it was the cutest shit ever and I can’t get that shit out of my head and if I was only rating on that scene, this would be a 20 out of 10. They are so fucking cute. Oh my God if you’re gonna watch for nothing else, but that, just watch it for that cause it was fantastic completely irrelevant to the plot I fear but it was amazing and one of my favorite scenes. Another thing I really enjoyed was the way they showed him grieving. I think that it was genuinely so perfect in this imperfect way like turns off his phone and is he’s there like a month that was fantastic. I think I already talked about their dynamic, but it started off like pretty bad and then something just like clicked and it changed and it got so fucking good. Oh my God fantastic fucking dynamic from these two.
What I didn’t like was that we spent literally so long in that fucking vacation house like I understand that was probably the point of the show and I should’ve read the description but like oh my God we were in there for so fucking long. It was crazy. Besides the inspector and like the bad guys nobody else served a purpose and the weird side couple between the inspector and the doctor guy. I love that for them that was cute but it was so fucking irrelevant. I’m like what is even happening? Another thing I didn’t like was that the main reason they were in the house is cause he was he had a hit on his head, but what was the point of that guy and his wife like him poisoning his wife what did that have to do with anything? I think I missed that, but it was like a main point in the thing because we thought that guy was after him. But I think I missed why that was relevant and we kept going back to it and I’m like I don’t care at all. I didn’t like how pushy Jimmy‘s character was at the start. I think that’s the point but I feel like they could’ve done that more like a hands-off cut away cause he was so fucking pushy and that pissed me off. The ex I know that it’s like a thing oh my God, Book coming in to ruin their show because they always ruined his show but like you serve zero purpose where did you even come from HOW DO YOU SPELL IRRELEVANT? I feel like maybe if they mentioned it earlier, it would’ve been better but they didn’t and it came out of left fucking field with this goddamn intro, music, and goddamn title bitch get the fuck off my screen and run me my motherfucking money.
A fantastic step up. “Oh my God, why can’t they just have a normal show?” “I’m literally so obsessed with the show, and it’s only the second episode.” “I love when they are each other's type that's my fave trope. “Soft and fluffy.” Lmao. Everyone keeps mentioning that he's his type so this should go interesting!!! I really like the enemies-to-lovers vibe. Well, not exactly it definitely has that vibe. I also love the cards that each episode is based on. I think that’s fun. The way bro is grieving is not healthy at all my lord. But I understand. SEAAA BROOOO. Sexy ass fucker. He's so hot.” “I think the symbolism is good. It’s interesting. Like how he’s having him fix stuff from the house and it’s like symbolizing the healing and like I guess fixing his broken heart. I think that’s fun.” “THERE'S SOMETHING IN THE AIR BECAUSE THEIR DYNAMIC JUST CHANGEDDDDDD OH YEAH!!!!” “Also if Jimmy got on his knees for me I would fold immediately, wherever and whenever.” “Bro i be dozing when the plot goes back to Bangkok. That's why he has so much guilt because he indirectly killed them. Thap is such a good guy.” “I would nuke the entire building if my doctor daddy got shot.” “But I understand, I understand so much. Fear of hurting him and blaming yourself for everything. I understand I really do. The light draining in Thap's eyes when he realized it wasn't In. If he takes sleeping pills to avoid talking to THAT MAN IS NOT YOUR MAN. I’m low-key so obsessed with this show.” “He still cried because that was his friend before anything.” “I think that thaps character is pretty interesting and definitely needs to work on his emotions and this show i think did him very well. I also like In as well. The two of them both had very good character development. Fixing things and making them better. They make each other better. Does In have a job?”
This show is so cute oh my lord. Watch it one hundred times over. Okay bye!
