A Fortune Teller Could’ve Warned Me Not to Watch This..............
I’m really sorry to say this, but this might be the worst JimmySea series I’ve watched so far. I’ve followed this ship for years, so it honestly hurts a bit to admit that GMM totally dropped the ball on this one. I’m even more shocked seeing how high the rating is on MDL, because for me this is easily the weakest BL I’ve seen this year. Everything felt repetitive to the point that even their cute moments started feeling like deja vu. And I truly thought bringing First into the cast would help elevate the storyline… but nope. The plot was messy from the beginning, and it became obvious early on exactly where everything was heading. Knowing the ending before the journey even gets going? Yeah, not fun. It’s frustrating because the premise had potential, a skeptical ICU doctor forced into hiding after a series of bad omens predicted by his sister’s fortune-teller friend. That setup could’ve been mysterious, suspenseful, or at least quirky in a fun way. But instead, the story leaned way too hard on recycled romance beats and stretched them across episodes that felt longer than they actually were. The actual conflict where the villain pursuing Thap was barely explored, almost like an afterthought. By the time they revealed who the bad guy was, I just sighed because it was so predictable.
And yet… Jimmy and Sea themselves are not the problem. Their chemistry is still there, and they always commit to their roles. I stayed for them, honestly. If it weren’t JimmySea, I wouldn’t have made it past episode two. They did what they could, and they did look great on screen. The little easter eggs and fanservice were cute, but cute moments can’t save a fundamentally weak script.
Overall, this series felt like GMM trying to package something feel-good without crafting an actual story behind it. It’s pretty, it’s soft, and the vibes are relaxing, but it’s also predictable, slow, and kind of boring. I love JimmySea, but I think it’s time to give them fresher roles and a storyline that actually values their acting. This just wasn’t it.

Want a Cute and Fluffy romance with JimmySea? YES! Everything else is a big disappointment.
If you are like me, you want to see JimmySea again after their amazing performances in “Last Twilight”, right? You read the synopsis and it sounded interesting, especially, if you are a fan of fortune telling and tarot card reading. Well, you won’t be disappointed if you want to see JimmySea in a cute and fluffy romance. They deliver and you will not stop smiling. But other than their lovely romance, everything else is quite a disappointment. It’s unbelievable that “Last Twilight” has a 8.4 MDL rating and “My Magic Prophecy” has 8.7.I was forewarned and I adjusted my expectations of “My Magic Prophecy”. I went into this looking for a fluffy romance, and I got it. Jimmy and Sea are adorable and sweet and everything that I am looking for in my romantic mood. They are adorable with their natural hair, and super handsome with their hair gelled, and especially Jimmy in a nice shirt and trousers. Honestly, their romantic journey is quite predictable and you’ve seen all this in other dramas. But that doesn’t dampen my excitement because I really want to see them in a light and cute drama. Just give me all the sugar! Their chemistry is great but not as special as in “Last Twilight” where you feel all types of emotions. There are plenty of kisses and some fan service, of course. The interview at the end of the drama is so cute and fun. JimmySea exudes playfulness and happiness, and you can see how comfortable they are with each other.
Now, what if you are not looking for a cute and fluffy romance? You actually want a good plot about fortune telling and tarot card reading? Well, I am afraid, my friend, that you will be disappointed. It started off interesting with the visions and the threat of life-threatening events. But after that, they all become plot devices for the romance.
What about the rest of the plot? A disappointing hot mess. With only 10 episodes, and probably 80% of the time is spent on the cute and fluffy romance, there’s just not enough time to execute a proper plot or development of a secondary romance. What I would have done is to focus on In’s healing process from losing his family and Thap’s life-threatening events and betrayal (before and after). I would have cut the hospitalization of the board member and the father/son side plot.
The secondary romance has so much potential to be good. Unfortunately, the full romance is boiled down to a couple flashbacks and a few dialogs. The drama should have started telling us their backstory sooner. Give us more of the school days to build a solid foundation. Then give us more of them reuniting, and stronger development from awkwardness, reconciliation, and falling in love again. Even though the actors aren’t great, their story could have been more fun if written well.
I was surprised to see First and Junior in this drama. They are both excellent actors, but I felt that they are underutilized, especially for First. If the drama has focused more on his friendship with Jimmy/Thap and First/Kan, “My Magic Prophecy” would be so much more interesting.
Would I recommend this? Only if you want to see JimmySea in a cute and fluffy romance. Otherwise, I recommend you pass on this. I hope Jimmy and Sea would reunite again in the future with a better written and executed drama that also has an amazing romance.

over-produced
I've been thinking about this a lot, trying to figure out why it really didn't work for me. I usually like slower paced and slice of life series. The Thai way of incorporating grief into a story without letting it overwhelm it is something I usually love.... So why am I so meh about this?It wasn't the cast, they did well enough with what they had to work with. But it's like a sparse handful of common cliches strung together with Meaningful Looks, some snogs and Inspirational sentiments taken from posters of sunshine, puppies and a cross. The setting was beautiful, the house was a dream, the kids were cute. But the villagers were more cliches. The attempted-murder mystery was so very weak and the motivations in it were very much why did they bother.
I did like the conversation with his father scene, but it felt unconnected with the rest.
All in all, it was over-produced. From most of the background music to the artificially white make-up shine to the soft focus lens to the cliched emotions. I could believe moments, but not the whole. Not even the romance arc.
It's also one where it's impossible to forget these are made as romantic fantasies for women. LGBTQ feels like such a misnomer in the tags. With the Christian quote and the very pale skin, I wonder if this one was perhaps made to chase the US audience in particular.
It wasn't bad enough to drop, especially as it's only 10 episodes. But other than the house and Khaohom's adorableness, there really isn't anything to draw me back or even remember. It was very undemanding and filled some time.
Those are my thoughts. Normally I wouldn't bother with a review for something like this, but I'm interested if others have similar reactions or their own insights. Please share yours in the comments.

It's freaking cute, but overrated.
My magic prophecy is just the same old story GMMTV keeps recycling and we like idiots keep eating up. The recycle the same formula over and over again sometimes with some exceptions (Not me, Last twilight, A tale of a thousand stars to mentiona few) it's fine, others it's watchable and most it's garbage. This one falls under the just fine category, I mean I could tell who the bad guy was from the very first frame he was in they made so little effort to hide his deviousness that I was kinda hoping it was a misdirect, but no, the writters are way to lazy for that and wouldn't want to taint their next ship by having one of them be evil.
Imagine for a moment that instead of the dude that never stopped giving evil vibes the entier time hi was on screen it was the one with the constantly worried puppy expression on his face, the guy that most likely cry his eyes out over stepping on a bug on his way to work. I mean he had the cop guy wrapped around his finger the entire time so much so that I think he could've tricked him into helping if he wanted to. Would it be surprising? Not really, but, I would've liked it better.
Did I sit and watch the entire series in one sitting with a dumb smile so big that my cheeks hurt? Yep I did, however, this is not deserving of an 8.7 rating let's be honest people, not just for the stupid villain with even stupider motives but many more flaws that I'm too lazy to list. It's freaking cute, though so I would recommend a friend to watch with the fair warning that it's cuteness far outweighs it's quality.
If i find myself bored one day and want to enjoy some fluffy cuteness I'd watch again. sure.

wish it had been better as their farewell
Ok. So just finished watching. I love watching their amazing chemistry and talents. Such true friendship and trust on screen. And the supporting cast some of the best in the biz. The director is great, but even he and all of them can't overcome a mediocre script that is two episodes too long. Sorry. Fluffy and kinda, by the end, maudlin. But its their last go round so I will take it. Going to go back and watch Vice Versa so I can remember them in their prime. Wish they had stopped at Last Twilight which is a masterpiece.

A Human Heart in a Magical World: A Drama Review (8.5/10)
I just finished this new Thai BL drama with the magic prophecy drama and wow, it's really sticking with me. I'd easily give it a 8.5/10. If you're a fan of shows that mix supernatural mystery with a really deep, emotional romance between the main leads, you absolutely have to check this one out.Let's start with the obvious highlight: the main couple, In and Thap. Their chemistry is off the charts, but it's the way their characters are written that truly shines. In, with his magical burden, carries this profound sense of loneliness that you can feel through the screen. Thap is the perfect counterbalance—his journey from perhaps a skeptic to In's unwavering pillar is so satisfying to watch. The way the show delivers their feelings is top-tier. You don't just get told they're falling for each other; you see it in every lingering look, every protective gesture, and every moment of silent understanding. Their emotional arc is the heart of the whole show.
And can we please talk about the OST? The music is just beautiful. There's this one piano melody that plays during their key scenes that absolutely wrecks me in the best way. It perfectly captures the show's mix of mystery, magic, and deep yearning.
The plot is another strong point. The mystery and the crimes tied to the prophecy aren't just a flimsy excuse to get the leads together; they feel genuinely intriguing and add a great layer of suspense that had me clicking "next episode" every time.
My one critique, and it's the thing that holds me back from a full 10/10, is with the supporting characters. There's a second couple and a group of friends who are genuinely likable and have the seeds of really interesting stories. You can see the potential for a great side romance or a compelling personal struggle, but just as you start to get invested, the show pulls back to focus on In and Thap. I found myself genuinely wanting more—more of their backstories, more scenes to flesh out their relationships, and just more time to let their emotional moments breathe. Their stories felt a bit short-changed, and the delivery of their feelings wasn't as strong as it was for our main leads.
But don't let that deter you. The core story of In and Thap is so powerful, so well-acted, and so beautifully scored that it's an absolute must-watch. It’s a haunting, romantic, and thrilling drama that I’ll be thinking about for a long time. Just be prepared to wish you could live in its world a little longer with all its characters.

A stinking fluff-bomb of a show that you'll enjoy as a one-time watch if you love Jimmy-Sea
I couldn't have asked for a better show for one of my favourite pairs ever, Jimmy-Sea. This has got everything right so far, great looking cast, believable acting, intriguing story and great production values. What are you waiting for - go watch!!BL-needle Score: 8.5. Very High BL-ness
I loved the first episode. The intriguing story with a hint of esoteric and occult, an engaging script, good support cast, Jimmy who looks he has actually grown younger and more handsome, and Sea who is as pretty as always, I couldn't have asked for more. Also being a tarot junkie adds to the fun.
In the end, though this was not good as the Last Twilight, it was very enjoyable as a one time watch. I would call this a stinking fluff bomb that you are bound to enjoy if you are a Jimmy-Sea fan.

Not my favorite JimmySea but I enjoy it a lot. Thap fixed something he didn't broke in In.
Even thought In cried most of the episode, it was really heart warming.
I wasn't really focused on the plot with First, I'm sorry. But it was really great even though it was predictable.
In and Thap should have adopted a kid-

Was hoping for a better prophecy
I placed spoilers at the end of this review.Overall, this was a decent series. The script was nether horrible or outstanding, just ok. There were times the script was on point, but then just introduced information or scenarios without any context about it. It also had some unnecessary story elements considering this has only 10 episodes. I wish it focused more on the crime storyline which felt forgotten at times. This also had inconsistent pacing. I understand there were only 10 episodes, but some things happen at a supersonic speed in just one episode (Episode 3 for example). The surprise twist towards the end was not much of a surprise to me. I was able to predict this by the first episode. On a positive note, the cast was great. They did a great job with what they were given. The script did a great job tying up all the storylines together in the end. However, this had one of the most bizarre forgiveness scenes I’ve ever seen. Unfortunately, I developed a serious case of second couple syndrome with Ton and Pong. I want more scenes with them which would have been possible if the production team used their screentime wisely. I was not a fan of the background music. There were times the audio was to load and/or didn’t match the overall mood of the scene.
Random Note:
The episode names/cards are from the 22 cards of the Major Arcana section of the tarot set of cards.
This is another GMMTV series that had a good story concept, great cast, and production quality, but missing a great script. Again, the script was not horrible or outstanding. It was just decent.
The location for Kan’s condo was also used in the series “Only Boo”. The location used for Pong’s condo was also used in the series “Happiness”, “Peaceful Property”, “Wandee Goodday”, “Only Boo”, “My School President”, and “Good Old Days”.
******Potential Spoiler Alert******
There was a love triangle that served no purpose. It was randomly introduced without any context involving a character they briefly introduced in episode 1. This was one of the few times I was thankful this was all done in one episode.
There was also the predictable returning ex, but this actually served a purpose to the storyline. Although Thap’s ex was mentioned a few times, this still felt random. Again, thankfully this was wrapped up very quickly.
I was able to guess that Kan was involved in some way. To me, the hints throughout the series were not very subtle. What’s a little attempted murder between friends. Because you didn’t succeed, it’s all good. The scene with Kan and Thap in the last episode was just weird.

grief, healing, love
Overall: it's a sweet story of grief, healing and love with a tinge of danger/mystery. 10 episodes about 45 minutes each. Aired on GMMTV's YouTube channel (not in Thailand, Taiwan, Japan) https://youtu.be/akIaydwc0Mk?si=lWlPxAJ42JNf5G51Content Warning: attempted murder, blood, past death, grief, manipulation
What I Liked
- the bickering/opposites dynamic
- sweet and caring moments
- mystery element
- working thru grief
- they had some good communication
Room For Improvement
- pacing was a bit slow in parts
- villain was obvious
- ex was unnecessary

Is it magical?
Fantasy BLs are a difficult genre to make believable. Not just because one must feign being in love with someone with whom one is not but must also convince us that some sort of magic or fantasy is part of the scheme. Additionally, it must be a major part of the theme, short of overwhelming the storyline, without also making the whole premise look ridiculous. Overall, this series does a very good job of making the story not just conceivable but also relatable. There are some very strong acting performances by the main leads that help pull this story together rather well. I do wish the story had stuck to the development of human interactions rather than trying to introduce an element of a murder mystery into the storyline. For me, this story tried to cover too much within their relationship in a choppy fashion, intertwined into an awful murder mystery theme. came for First, stayed for First and jimmysea moments
MMP is a classic example of top tier acting meets GMMTV mediocrity. Now don't get me wrong not everything needs to be deep and heavy, there's nothing wrong with fluff. What's wrong is when this subplot fluff takes up majority of the episodes while the main plot and conflict is sparsely scattered, only being actually dealt with in 4 out of 10 episodes. The first episode sets us off strong, introducing the conflict from the start and instead of taking that and developing a solid plot, the next episodes focus on JimmySea's domesticated life. As a solution to keeping Thap safe while trying to solve the mystery, these fools conjure up the bright idea of removing him completely and shipping him off to the mountains with a fortune teller he fell in love w at first sight but has reservations abt bc he hates fortune tellers due to trauma (which also makes no sense as if this was so traumatizing, which i dont doubt, why is the mother still so obsessed with fortune tellers?? she literally drinks the words straight out of In's mouth which added to my frustration). This was especially irritating as everything from there (episode 3 and onwards) was predictable. Yes, I understand we dont ALWAYS need Last Twilight level production but at least place more emphasis on the main conflict instead of a mere 15 to 20 minutes mention every other episode.
Another issue I had with MMP is the side couple they tried forced down my throat. There was no chemistry and unnecessary, not every man needs a love interest. In the scenes where the other doctor was by himself it was fine, then everytime his love interest (the inspector) came into frame the quality rapidly declined with shabby lines and a hopeless relationship. I started fast forwarding everytime they were on screen together and still managed to keep up to date w the plot.
First was amazing. He really shone throughout MMP and I wanted to see MORE of his character, I wanted more development, I wanted to see him conspire and plot, nonetheless he did a spectacular job. Sea's emotions never fail to impress me, and his acting was breathtaking. In many of his scenes I forget that I was indulging in a half-baked GMM mediocre show.
The ending. Aside from the side couple they kept shoving up my ass it was it was enjoyable. I really like the dad and the scene where he asked In to accompany him tending to his plants which was his way of accepting In into the family. I wished the dad got more screentime, shoving his and Thap's subplot into the very last episode felt unjustly to me, and the dad's actor was spot on with his emotionally delivery, truly a waste. Despite that, I miss the era where there were consequences for your actions. Why was Karn begging for punishment and everyone just decided to forgive him just like that. I love First in this series and i wish he got more screentime. His emotions were all so raw (Sea as well), especially in the finale when he couldn't even look his friends in the eyes at first. His portrayal of regret and defeat invigorated me to stay till the end (THANK U FIRST KANAPHAN WE ALL SAY IN UNSION). The interview added to the end was chef's kiss and I forgot how much i struggled to finish this.
Overall, MMP had so much potential. They failed to balance fluff and conflict. JimmySea's fanbase are like loyal dogs who watch their shows through rose coloured glasses and throw all media literacy out the window., just like what they did for Vice Versa and its sad to see shows like this be over hyped and actual good shows with a solid plot and subsistence are placed on the back burner due to the pairing/ actors not being as popular. Dont watch with high expectations, and you would definietly enjoy more than me.
