When natural acting meets right casting
Jimmy & Sea .....these two names are enough for me to watch this series. After the huge success of ' Last Twilight ' they are back again with an amazing series.Honestly the plotline is completely different. The way Sea portrayed In's character wow . Jimmy is always different, another green flag character from him.
There is literally no boring scene . Each episode is full of laughing, crying, teasing, bickering etc etc .
The music is in a word WOW . I really want to kiss that person's hands who created & wrote this amazing ART .
Should I talk about visuals ? Definitely yes . Jimmy in this new hairstyle, is extremely handsome & about Sea , he is one of the prettiest/ handsome man I ever saw . When he smiles, we also automatically smile with him . His smile has some magic right ?
Give this drama a try , I know you will not regret.

No magic, just the same old recycled GMMTV concept.
When you already know in the first episode who the "bad guy" is, then I asked myself who did not see this coming? When you like to do a fantasy BL, then why not skip all the crap with the cheapo cliché bad guy? Of course they laugh in the end and are still friends even when the baddie tried to kill his "friend" but failed. That's fantasy of course, because in real life that would never happen in a span of a few days.GMMTV is hyperfocused to give fans just the feel-good vibes without any depth. They want to sell their overpriced concert tickets and merchandise. They seldom do stories which are controversial or have a background from real life. Where are the times when storytelling was king and fluffy scenes where the cherry on top? Or: When was the last time a story made sense and you did not know what will happen next?
The second question is: Why bother with a second couple when this couple is just an afterthought? Yes they are cute together, but there was no substance, they just were there to look pretty.
Production quality was very good, because that's one of the most favorite ships in GMMTVs menagerie of ships. At least First had a nice time, because he could play the bad guy and he did a good job of that - as far as the script let him. While Sea can act, I would also say Jimmy improved again, but the is not even close to Sea. So overall, this is a brain off series with mostly good vibes and that's what GMMTV went for. They all look pretty, the camera framed them pretty and that's that. But for me, it was just predictable and most of the time boring as hell. Still, I can't fault it too much, because it's at least not bad. It's ok to watch and ok to like, but as usual the ratings are overblown by all the fangirls who do like seeing there ships hugging, kissing and in some NC scenes.

A Tender 9/10 Love Story, Purest, healthiest couple
Did I just spend hours watching two souls simply exist together, fixing a house, sharing quiet moments, and holding space for one another? It felt less like watching a drama and more like witnessing love breathe. Their slow journey from separate rooms into one bed was tender and unhurried, never forced, just two hearts quietly finding their way home.Jimmy and Sea brought to life one of the purest, healthiest couples I have ever seen in BL. No jealousy, no villains, no unnecessary drama, only a love so genuine it almost hurt to watch. And then came the moment that shattered me. In, played by Sea, finally opened up about the tragedy of losing his parents. His voice carried years of grief, every word heavy with loneliness. Thap, portrayed by Jimmy, didn’t try to erase the pain. Instead, he listened, stayed, and became the strength In could lean on. When he wiped away In’s tears and held him through his breaking, it wasn’t just comfort, it was love at its most raw and truest form.
But love can be cruel. To witness someone so broken and to love them so deeply, knowing you cannot undo their past nor promise them forever, is both beautiful and tragic. Watching In cry in Thap’s arms felt like watching love and grief intertwine into one. It was intimate, painful, and unforgettable.
The reason this is not a 10/10 series is simple. I love GMMTV but let’s be honest, they really cannot pull off fight scenes or accident scenes. How could Kan possibly escape from the hospital with two police officers right there? Even if we assume he somehow managed it, the next part made no sense. The car barely touched him, just a slight push, yet he ended up on the ground with his head bleeding. I really do enjoy this series, but that scene felt so fake. Even those staged accident scam videos on Facebook look more realistic.
My Magic Prophecy earns a 9/10 from me, not because it lacked heart, but because it dared to show love as something fragile and fleeting while stumbling in its action execution. Sometimes the most powerful romances are not the ones wrapped in grand gestures, but the ones that remind us how delicate happiness really is.

The real prophecy was fluff all along!
Some dramas want to challenge the world, and some just want to make you smile after a long day. My magic prophecy belongs to the 2nd camp. It's light and happy to live in the land of fluff.
The premise uses tarot card-inspired themes. Each episode is named after a card, hinting at what is coming, which is unique in my opinion, but the drama doesn't focus much on fantasy. In my head, I thought they would lean into a puzzle box narrative with heavy mythology of tarot cards, but they settled for a simpler story. Again, which wasn't bad, but I feel they missed on this.
The story is also pretty straightforward. It follows the journey of Thap, a skeptical ICU doctor who doesn't believe in fortune-telling, and Inthu, a tarot card reader. When Inthu predicts a streak of bad luck for Thap that could lead to his death, he begrudgingly decides to believe him and they seek shelter in Inthu's hometown.
The chemistry between the leads is the biggest strength here. It is warm, cosy and healing. I enjoyed their initial banter and gentle arguments. But since no BL is complete without one of the leads having a traumatic past, this was no different. Inthu had demons of his own to deal with, and what I loved the most was how Thap broke those walls slowly and gently. Somehow, everything clicked naturally and every tiny moment built up to something emotional.
It was very sweet and comforting but it was also very safe. This is where my disappointment comes. When I see a fantasy element mentioned as the primary plot device, I expect it to be present and used to actually make a difference in the story and not just episode titles. While the tarot gimmick adds a unique wrapper to the story, it was underdeveloped. I kept waiting for the fantasy to sweep me away, but it ended up buried beneath all the romance and fluff.
Coming to the second couple, while I do like the pairing, they felt more like an afterthought. They were sweet and we did have cute moments, but they didn't get much development.
Also, there’s an attempted murder mystery plot lurking around, but honestly… I called the antagonist by episode 3. Even if I give myself a slow clap for that and move on, the story barely cared about the subplot anyway.
Acting-wise, Sea wins the award for me. All the emotional scenes of him breaking down had me in near tears too. It felt messy and painfully real. Jimmy also complimented him well though I found him a bit stiff at times...nothing really too distracting though. I liked Save's acting here, even though his character as the Inspector was a bit foolish at times. I am looking forward to seeing him more. Franc was also decent, though whenever he had a scene with Save just bantering around, he always had this smile on his face which was awkward. I am not sure if it was intended that way. Also, I loved Junior's performance here even though it was very brief.
Production and cinematography are bright and easy on the eyes. I liked the whole countryside setting and the hospital scenes did feel real. It's a GMM TV production, I don't think budget is an issue for them.
Overall, for the fluff, it absolutely delivered...I had fun, I smiled and I even teared up a little. I rated it for what it actually gave me. But beyond that, it doesn’t bring much new or fresh to the table. The story plays it safe, the fantasy elements never fully bloom and the subplots feel undercooked. It’s sweet and satisfying in the moment, but not something that will stand out among the more memorable BLs.
I would recommend it if you enjoy fluff with healing vibes. Just don't go in expecting complex plotlines or mind-blowing twists.
Thank you for reading my review! <3

“My Magic Prophecy” — Stuck in a Loop of Clichés
Honestly, watching "My Magic Prophecy" felt like a chore. The plot is completely overused and painfully predictable - you can see every twist coming from a mile away. There's nothing fresh, original, or even mildly exciting here. Even though the episodes are only around 40 minutes long, they "feel" much longer. The pacing is sluggish, the structure repetitive, and the overall vibe just... dull. I found myself skipping through entire scenes, hoping to land on something worthwhile. Spoiler: I didn't. The chemistry between the main leads is fine - passable, at best. But the kisses feel stiff, and the sex scenes? A bit cringey, honestly. There's no real emotional tension, and the attempts at romantic or steamy moments fall completely flat. As for JimmySea, it's seriously time for them to branch out into different genres and roles. They've got talent, no doubt about that, but these repetitive fantasy-romance storylines are doing them no favors. It's starting to feel like the same character in a slightly different setting, over and over again. Give them something bold, something fresh - they deserve that. "My Magic Prophecy" isn't worth your time unless you're a die-hard fan of the cast. Otherwise, skip it and save yourself the boredom. Was this review helpful to you?
Nonsense drama that brings no value
Each episode is the same as the previous one, nothing is happening in the story. The whole drama was just being dragged. The interactions of the main actors felt so unnatural and cringe for this series but not in their previous works. The story, plot and scenes were very repetitive throughout the whole show. 6 out of 10 episodes were filmed in just one location. In's house. It was also unacceptable for the screenwriter to make Thap to forgive and cry over someone that attempted to murder him, not once, not twice but three times, or should I even include the other scenes where Thap could've been in a fatal accident. This is improper behavior that is normalized to the viewers.
The other extra characters in the story did nothing for the series, they were there just so an episode could be completed.
For anybody saying this drama is about mental health, it's not. Bad past traumatic experiences and anxiety about the future is never solvable by just being with someone you love, that is what this drama misrepresented.

Falling for you became a new meaning.
Finally JimmySea are back with a new drama! I have high expectations for this series after they let me fall for them in Last Twilight so hard. After watching Episode 1 I already fall for this handsome Doctor! And I really want to know the backstory of Infah because it seems there is more to it.
Can't wait to see the future episodes. Their chemestry is on point again! The way they communicate with eachother, their eyes showing so much even if it's only ep. 1. They really give me the feeling of coming home.
There is always way to imrprove, but for Episode 1 it's overall a 9/10 for me.

honestly? like a draft work
Plot was promising. then went bad- to the point i kept skipping. Pretty sure i spent more time skipping than watching.Acting good, music good, nothing negative for that.
Episode length was fine, but for what it showed it definitely could be made into a one minute low cost series.
I hope the company decides to actually focus on one series and make it good instead of treating them all like a to-do.

MDL Ratings is WAY Too High
This had such a high rating that I was excited to jump in and see what MMP was all about. This was 13th on my list of the most anticipated GMMTV series of 2025, out of 17 series (BL-oriented only). While not bad, this is also not 8.7 rating good. Like most GMMTV plots, the beginning is immaculate while the rest falls into the same cruel and repetitive arcs. The only saving factor is the fact that Jimmy and Sea do have incredible chemistry.Let's Dive In.
This is definitely a story that was genuine and unique in nature. A fortune teller/psychic can see the coming death of his best friend's brother and predicts that someone is out to kill him. Because of it, they are forced into close proximity (one of my favorite tropes) until the threat is seized. Meanwhile, you have a cop trying to investigate the sudden crimes happening at the hospital, who ends up rekindling his complicated relationship with an old best friend. It sounds good. It was good up until a certain point. Usually for me, that's at about episode 6 or 7. This definitely could've been shortened into 8 episodes if they took out half of the cheap writing of a minor miscommunication and whatever the fuck that side couple was suppose to give us.
I only tolerated this because of Jimmy and Sea. They seriously have such a fun and energetic way of telling their stories. But even with that, I was bored once they have pretty much sufficed their relationship. One thing they have in the bag is being physical, and they do that very well (Sea, the man you are when shirtless, my goodness). I loved the dynamic they played in this, I love how natural and organic their dialogue is, and just to see how much they've grown since Vice Versa. They are also both very good actors, and can cry !! How nice is that !
The side couple was so bad. I don't think I've seen a side couple in a GMMTV series that I've just not liked even a little bit. They had zero chemistry, they quite literally gave us nothing. Please don't ever put Save and Franc on my screen again until they've gone to at least 20 more workshops, my goodness.
The whole story around "who is trying to kill Thap?" was so anticlimactic and predictable, I was laughing my ass off when they revealed it was First's character, like no fucking durp. I would've loved a little twist, something we didn't see coming.
I love me a good village love story, and Khaohom was the cutest thing. I also learned a lot about tarot cards and how readings work as someone who is pretty skeptical about that type of thing, so I think that was cool too.
Probably my favorite scene out of the entire series is the last 5 or so minutes of the final episode. It was just them being genuine and adorable, and they really are just great friends that get to kiss for a living.
I think what's screwing up the MDL rating is the concept of virality and trending. I've learned in recent days that in order for a series to perform well in the eyes of the higher ups in BL companies, there must be a certain percentage or number of how much a couple is talked about to based their probability of getting another series. That is mostly for social media, but I would also think that MDL plays a big role too, internationally. But let's be honest, the MDL ratings have never been very accurate of a series, but I feel like it for real isn't accurate anymore. This is no hate to people that genuinely loved this, this is no hate to JimmySea or the people behind this series, but this should be a 7.8-8.2 at best. What happens is that you have fans that will rate a series 10 out of 10 for every aspect, and if enough people do that, it raises the importance and hype around it. Well, I have learned my lesson, i need to stay away from MDL ratings, period, lol.
Ratings:
Story: 6.5/10 - Good at the beginning, then completely dwindles in the end. The side couple was complete trash and really ruins the story score for me.
Acting: 8.5/10 - JimmySea ate, and their growth as actors has been so nice to see. I didn't hate Save and Franc's acting, but they definitely have a long way to go.
Music: 6/10 - Sea can sing ! Still skipped it, but like, I noticed it.
Recommendation Value: 8/10 - I think this is the perfect BL to start out with for first time watchers. It's cute, the stakes are high, yet still pretty low, and it ends happily ever after. Also, Sea is shirtless enough times in this for me to think about a rewatch, for sure.

Is it anything special? No — but that doesn't mean it's not enjoyable.
This is the kind of story where more things work out happily than they do in real life, but who cares? Sometimes series can just be feel-good, can't they? Everything doesn't have to play out like a Scorsese movie all the time, does it?It stayed at seven stars for me throughout most of the series because it was precious and supportive, and the characters were great... but then the climax hit and I immediately bumped it up a star. This show was so lovely — the perfect balance of simplicity while still hitting important themes like friendship, understanding, responsibility, forgiveness, and love.
I could call the series predictable: just an average rom-com, nothing special. Except for In's magical abilities, the story is pretty simple. And yet… I flew through the episodes. My jaw hurt from smiling, then I furrowed my brow because I wanted to slap some people, and then my lips turned up in a smile again.
And that was it.
It was so sweet. They were so sweet — ugh, I can't. They made my heart scream.

Same old repetitive story and Chemistry.
GMMTV BLS has completely lost it's spark. Every BL feelsthe same with just a different plot. They are so busy doing the nth concert abroad. They have forgotten how to write a gripping story with good chemistry. Seriously i have dropped Golden Blood, Sweet tooth and now i don't even want to continue this one. The BL standard is so high. There are shows like Shine. Bangkok Boys. GMMTV can take some inspo how to make good BL's from them and try to use the actors potential rather than doing 100 events and PR. Make some good BLs please. Was this review helpful to you?
Want a Cute and Fluffy romance with JimmySea? YES! Everything else is a big disappointment.
If you are like me, you want to see JimmySea again after their amazing performances in “Last Twilight”, right? You read the synopsis and it sounded interesting, especially, if you are a fan of fortune telling and tarot card reading. Well, you won’t be disappointed if you want to see JimmySea in a cute and fluffy romance. They deliver and you will not stop smiling. But other than their lovely romance, everything else is quite a disappointment. It’s unbelievable that “Last Twilight” has a 8.4 MDL rating and “My Magic Prophecy” has 8.7.I was forewarned and I adjusted my expectations of “My Magic Prophecy”. I went into this looking for a fluffy romance, and I got it. Jimmy and Sea are adorable and sweet and everything that I am looking for in my romantic mood. They are adorable with their natural hair, and super handsome with their hair gelled, and especially Jimmy in a nice shirt and trousers. Honestly, their romantic journey is quite predictable and you’ve seen all this in other dramas. But that doesn’t dampen my excitement because I really want to see them in a light and cute drama. Just give me all the sugar! Their chemistry is great but not as special as in “Last Twilight” where you feel all types of emotions. There are plenty of kisses and some fan service, of course. The interview at the end of the drama is so cute and fun. JimmySea exudes playfulness and happiness, and you can see how comfortable they are with each other.
Now, what if you are not looking for a cute and fluffy romance? You actually want a good plot about fortune telling and tarot card reading? Well, I am afraid, my friend, that you will be disappointed. It started off interesting with the visions and the threat of life-threatening events. But after that, they all become plot devices for the romance.
What about the rest of the plot? A disappointing hot mess. With only 10 episodes, and probably 80% of the time is spent on the cute and fluffy romance, there’s just not enough time to execute a proper plot or development of a secondary romance. What I would have done is to focus on In’s healing process from losing his family and Thap’s life-threatening events and betrayal (before and after). I would have cut the hospitalization of the board member and the father/son side plot.
The secondary romance has so much potential to be good. Unfortunately, the full romance is boiled down to a couple flashbacks and a few dialogs. The drama should have started telling us their backstory sooner. Give us more of the school days to build a solid foundation. Then give us more of them reuniting, and stronger development from awkwardness, reconciliation, and falling in love again. Even though the actors aren’t great, their story could have been more fun if written well.
I was surprised to see First and Junior in this drama. They are both excellent actors, but I felt that they are underutilized, especially for First. If the drama has focused more on his friendship with Jimmy/Thap and First/Kan, “My Magic Prophecy” would be so much more interesting.
Would I recommend this? Only if you want to see JimmySea in a cute and fluffy romance. Otherwise, I recommend you pass on this. I hope Jimmy and Sea would reunite again in the future with a better written and executed drama that also has an amazing romance.
