Third’s time the charm – at least with JimmySea. The duo delivered another decent BL in their GMMTV employ, much to my enjoyment.The show’s main plot is a BL one and – fortunately – doesn’t get overshadowed by numerous side plots regarding friends, family members, prophecies, criminal activity etc. Or I should say: mostly doesn’t get overshadowed. Like many Thai BLs, “My Magic Prophecy” lacks the most when it comes to writing – hence the inclusion of many underdeveloped subplots. If you want to write a concise script – focus on one plot; if you want to tell a larger story, encompassing several plots – take time to develop them all properly; MMP didn’t follow any of those paths.
The supporting couple plot felt unnecessary, almost shoehorned in just to introduce (or test) a potential new ship. Thap’s father issues – part of his family subplot – were properly introduced, explained and resolved in the last episode – far too late to be of any importance to the character’s background. Also, I’m not convinced the show needed so many side characters nor that they really had anything important to do. And while the writing for both main characters was good, all side characters felt either annoying or generic and bland, only reinforcing the feeling that they were unnecessary. MMP has decent pacing, but it wasn’t able to hide that the story was dragging a little. The main plot has enough content for 7-8 episodes, but with all extras included the show reached 10 episodes; not sure that was the right choice.
MMP benefits from JimmySea and their dynamic – romantic and comedic – but also from how well the writing fits both actors. Jimmy does a very good job as Thap, again portraying a stubborn, bold, even brash character, which is confronted with Sea’s In – an equally stubborn, but initially withdrawn character. Sea shows some range here, in particular in the most emotional scenes, displaying genuine despair and vulnerability. A typical BL performer would fail at this, overacting or going into cringe territory, but not Sea, who showed actual skill, focus and constraint. Jimmy also got an opportunity to shine in an unexpected way: by tapping into his darker side and channeling a bit of Wai, a character he portrayed in “Bad Buddy”.
The supporting cast mostly gave serviceable, entirely forgettable performances. This includes Nut, who was clearly underutilized. If the script really had to include someone third wheeling, than Nut – not Junior – should have been cast as that character. Both Save and Franc gave subpar performances and I didn’t detect any chemistry between them; if MMP was to test them as a ship, then I’d say the ship sunk before it sailed. The only member of the supporting cast I was more than glad to watch was First. His performance seemed subdued for most of the show, but when ep. 9 came, he showed what his capable of doing. That man can be convincingly evil, threatening and insane – I loved all of that.
Unlike its predecessor, “My Magic Prophecy” does not end with a silly break up nor a pointless time jump. The main plot concludes nicely in the penultimate episode, making ep. 10 redundant. Despite of its flaws, MMP works very well as a BL and is a must-see for all JimmySea fans.

AMAING SERIES WITH AMAZING ACTORS
I've been waiting a long time for this series and have already read the novel. GMMTV bought the rights to the novel about 5–6 years ago, but only recently decided on JimmySea to portray the characters, as they hadn't found the right actors for it during that time. This is truly a case of the characters choosing their actors.Let me start by talking about the storyline, which has been made much more intense and detailed, with stronger character development. The scriptwriting deserves praise, it far exceeded expectations, and I'm really happy the script team is so competent. As for the acting, there's no need to question it, this is JimmySea, after all. Especially in episode 2, I didn’t expect things to get this intense so soon.
Jimmy and Sea’s micro-expressions bring the entire series to life. Scenes without dialogue? Not a problem. JimmySea handled them flawlessly with breathtaking chemistry. Their ability to communicate emotions just through eye contact and subtle expressions is truly next level.
Massive kudos to the director for such a strong creative vision. Every scene feels so intentional, nothing is wasted, and every frame adds to the story's emotional depth. The pacing, shot composition, and emotional timing were absolutely spot on.
The editing team also deserves a huge round of applause. The way scenes transition, the color grading, the use of music and silence, they’ve created such an immersive experience. The intensity builds beautifully, and the storytelling flows effortlessly from one moment to the next.
All in all, the entire production team has done an incredible job. I genuinely hope more people give My Magic Prophecy a chance because it’s shaping up to be something truly special.

Storyline
The storyline has been improved much better, intense and detailed. The editing is also very good, don't doubt jimmysea's acting anymore because it's very good and their micro expression is really good!Did not expect anything from this series, but it turns out that the main part (storyline) has been made very well and neatly, good job for the team. Pace is also very dense and not long-winded. Really recommended

AMAZING STORY AND ACTOR
One of the culprit it's look like karn, maybe because he's jealous jimmy get offer for the deputy director position even though karn is the hospital director nephew. Jimmy & Sea acting getting better with every series. In this series Inthu character need sea play with much more expression and he nailed it. Congratulation to the all actors and production team. "My Magic Prophecy" is a series that truly hits all the right notes. From the very first episode, I was completely captivated by the great plot, which is full of twists and turns that keep you on the edge of your seat. The editing is seamless, making for a smooth and enjoyable viewing experience. The acting is nothing short of incredible, with the lead actors delivering top-notch performances that bring their characters to life in a powerful and authentic way. It's truly a testament to their skill that this series feels so fresh and unique, even when compared to their previous work, which was a masterpiece in its own right. JimmySea nunca falha! Falei, tô leve :)
Eu já começo dizendo que sou totalmente suspeita pra falar de My Magic Prophecy, porque JimmySea pra mim é tipo uma garantia de entrega, eu entro já sabendo que vou sofrer, sorrir e ficar pensando neles depois. Depois de Last Twilight, que eu guardo no peito como uma das minhas experiências favoritas no BL, eu tinha medo de me decepcionar. Mas não rolou. Muito pelo contrário, eu terminei essa série com a sensação de que eles conseguiram de novo: química no ponto, história envolvente e aquele cuidado nos detalhes que faz diferença.A proposta da série já é curiosa: mistura romance com essa pegada sobrenatural, profecia, destino, magia, mas de um jeito que não parece forçado. Claro que, em alguns momentos, a explicação sobre a “profecia” podia ter sido mais clara (tem cenas que você aceita só porque sim, e pronto), mas a conexão entre os personagens é tão forte que dá pra relevar. O casal principal carrega a trama com facilidade, e Jimmy e Sea entregam tanto nos momentos fofos quanto nos mais intensos, daqueles que você prende a respiração sem nem perceber. O contraste entre o jeito mais racional e fechado de um e a energia mais aberta e emocional do outro deixa tudo mais equilibrado, e a relação deles vai crescendo de forma que deixa a gente sorrindo feito boba.
O Thap tem esse ar de força e razão, muito pé no chão sempre tentando carregar todo o peso nos ombros sozinho, enquanto o In traz a luz, a sensibilidade e um calor humano que quebra as defesas dele aos poucos. O legal é que eles não são só um casal bonitinho, eles se completam de verdade, como se um existisse para lembrar o outro de que é possível viver além das visões que podem mostrar um futuro amedrontador. É nesse equilíbrio entre intensidade e delicadeza que o relacionamento deles nos conquista, porque não se resume apenas a romance, é parceria, cuidado e, em muitos momentos, salvação.
E aí entra uma das minhas maiores reações assistindo: as cenas claramente improvisadas. Eu amo quando dá pra sentir que os atores estão tão confortáveis um com o outro que deixam a naturalidade guiar. A cena em que o In está sentado na cadeira e o Thap simplesmente resolve sentar no colo dele foi o auge do meu surto. Saber que aquilo foi improvisado me fez gritar mais ainda, porque é nesses detalhes que JimmySea entregam uma intimidade absurda. Não parece ensaiado, parece real, como se a câmera tivesse capturado um momento deles fora de personagem. E eu amo tanto JimmySea, véi, que nessas horas eu só consigo agradecer por eles existirem.
Outro ponto que me prendeu foi o First como vilão, porque olha… o Karn conseguiu me tirar do sério várias vezes com aquela patetice dele. Eu queria entrar na tela e sacudir o personagem, de tanta raiva que passei, mas aí entra o mérito: eu só senti tudo isso porque o First entregou lindamente. Ele conseguiu dar ao Karn uma mistura de arrogância, burrice estratégica e aquela cara de “eu me acho muito esperto” que irrita na medida certa. Eu me peguei várias vezes aplaudindo mentalmente a atuação mesmo enquanto xingava o Karn em voz alta. É aquele tipo de vilão que dá gosto de odiar, e eu vou adorar ver mais desse lado vilanesco no futuro, porque ficou claro que o First tem talento de sobra pra explorar esse caminho.
Um ponto que talvez pese pra algumas pessoas são os episódios um pouco longos, tem cenas que se estendem mais do que deveriam, especialmente quando a trama já deixou claro o que queria mostrar. Mas, por incrível que pareça, mesmo nesses momentos, os atores seguram bem, e eu não fiquei entediada. Só acho que um corte aqui e ali deixaria a narrativa mais enxuta.
No fim, My Magic Prophecy me deixou com o coração cheio de amor. Eu recomendo sem pensar duas vezes, principalmente se você, como eu, já tem um carinho enorme por JimmySea. É uma série que consegue equilibrar romance, drama e fantasia de um jeito gostoso de acompanhar, sem virar uma bagunça de elementos jogados. O que mais me marcou foi ver, mais uma vez, a entrega deles em cada cena, não importa se era uma conversa simples ou um momento cheio de tensão, eles estavam lá, inteiramente entregues. Então sim, pode assistir tranquilo: vai ter magia, vai ter emoção e vai ter aquele tipo de química fofa que JimmySea sabe entregar muito bem.

Terminei faz uns dias este BL, mas toda vez que pensava em escrever a resenha, eu simplesmente deixava para depois.Acho que um dos grandes problemas dos shipps fixos da Tailândia é: quando um ator, o First no caso, aparece em um outro BL sem seu parceiro tão conhecido, a gente já entende que ele será o vilão ou apenas um ex enchendo o saco e desde que a previsão do In disse: alto de pele branca e próximo ao Thap ficou tão previsível que seria o Kan que seria o grande vilão por trás de todos os acontecidos que não fazia sentido empurrarem essa revelação tão para o final.
Mas gostei de ver os atores Jimmy e o Sea juntos, só via recortes deste casal, mas nunca tinha assistido nada. Gostei da maneira que seus personagens evoluíram no relacionamento, a construção do amor deles foi muito boa.
E eu super entendo o surto emocional do In em relação a cadeira dos pais, me lembrei de como sempre me afetava quando as coisas da minha mãe, que faleceu quando eu era adolescente, quebravam, até que um dia eu explodi e tive quase a mesma reação dele.
Gostei de como os episódios eram iniciados com as cartas que ditavam o que aconteceria naqueles minutos seguintes.
Acho que faz jus ao sucesso.

Un mélange d'émotions qui se regarde pour le plaisir.
Une série qui se laisse regardée avec plaisir.Des acteurs complices qui ont un jeu très juste, où les moments importants nous emportent à leurs côtés.
Pour le scénario, on commence fort avec une intrigue mystérieuse et originale. Malheureusement, certains trouveront qu'ils auraient pu jouer cette carte jusqu'au bout car cette originalité passe au second plan pour se concentrer sur le côté "enquête policière". Dommage car cette partie tire un peu en longueur bien que ça nous donne l'occasion de voir évoluer ce couple au travers de moment touchant, drôle, dramatique, etc...
Des musiques très chouettes également. Pas de quoi en faire le BL de l'année mais une série qui a le mérite d'innover un peu et de nous mélanger, tension, humour, amour, de plusieurs façons.
A regarder pour le plaisir.

it's not that deep
This is just my personal opinion!!!First of all, I can totally understand why people like this BL. Honestly, it checks most of the boxes for a “feel-good” kind of show!
Thap is a very understanding, non-toxic guy—at least when it comes to his relationship with his man. In is just wonderful, pure-hearted, and kind.
I think the problems I found—if we can even call them “problems”—are in the script, as always. It’s no secret that finding a good, cohesive, non-cliché story from GMMTV is like searching for a needle in a haystack. Once in a blue moon, they release something genuinely good and well-structured, and Last Twilight was one of those shows.
Yeah, I know comparing shows isn’t the best thing to do because inevitably one comes out “better” than the other. That being said, in my head it became inevitable.
Last Twilight was the show that actually made me like JimmySea, and realize that they are—and hopefully will remain—one of the most promising couples in the company. The kind of chemistry they share is truly rare, plus they can actually act.
When they became Mok and Day, we got to see two people struggling with different challenges and complex emotions. Day had to come to terms with the fact that he had become blind, while Mok couldn’t see the goodness and kindness within himself. Even though most of us haven’t gone through exactly what they did, their characters were so relatable, so human, and so real. Their romance bloomed naturally.
It was beautiful, but not the prime focus of the story. We had other things to hold on to, which made it dynamic and interesting.
My problem with My Magic Prophecy is that it feels like a show made just to appease the fans (in my view, not saying that it is). In struggles in the beginning but ends up falling for Thap. Thap is perfect, he loves In… and that’s it. Yeah, Thap is at risk of dying, but honestly, sometimes I even forgot he was in danger. The show, in my opinion, focuses solely on their romance and lets it overshadow everything else. I guess it proves how strong JimmySea’s connection is, but like—GMMTV, are you FOR REAL? Is that all you could come up with?
Just an underwhelming, cliché, “I’ve seen this a million times” kind of show.
And obviously, I’m not saying “people who just want to watch light romantic BLs are stupid.” Honestly, if it makes you smile, giggle, and forget your troubles, I’m glad! I’m happy to see that so many people feel good after watching it.
It’s just that I was expecting more. More from actors who clearly have so much to give. Putting them in a show like this feels like wasting their potential. But once again, just my opinion. If you love it—slay!! I don’t think I can finish it though.

Hermosa
Esperaba una serie bizarra pero encontré una joyitaa con una trama espectacular. La pareja principal fue unida por el destino y contra su voluntad, y a partir de esta unión EL MEJOR DESARROLLO DE PERSONAJE que vi en cualquier serie. La forma en que su mutua compañía fue sacando a la luz las debilidades de ambos y como conectaron para protegerse entre si fue HERMOSO. La pareja fue un 10 y la evolución que tuvieron como personas estuvo muy bien hecha. El cariño genuino y la ternura transpasaba la pantalla y la forma en la que afrontaron sus traumas y peligros fue muy realista. Me encantó por completo porque fue muy dulce sin dejar de lado la seriedad y el argumento inicial. La pareja secundaria fue lo único que me pareció bastante meh.Was this review helpful to you?
