TayNew's Unmatched Chemistry and Chaotic Comedy Carry an Okay Script
A Dog and a Plane relies heavily on the timeless charm of Tay and New, delivering electric chemistry and endless comedy even when the overarching plot feels a bit disjointed. Tay Tawan and New Thitipoom’s off-the-charts dynamic shines through the classic "opposites attract" trope, flawlessly balancing Khanit’s pristine, put-together demeanor with Toto’s delightfully cringey, loud, and quirky energy. The series starts on a high note with an engaging setup centered around Khanit’s cheating ex-boyfriend, the secret debt, and the fun revelation that Toto had been harboring feelings for Khanit all along while acting as his spy. The acting and romantic payoff throughout these early stages are top-tier, making for an immensely enjoyable watch. However, the narrative loses steam when it transitions into the second half. Khanit’s deep, intense love for his ex was portrayed so heavily in the beginning that his sudden shift toward dating Toto felt a bit too fast and unearned. Furthermore, once the initial drama settled, the sudden turn into a standard "pleasing the strict parents who look down on Toto's job" plotline felt like a strange shift in pacing. While the storyline could have definitely been tighter and more cohesive, the sheer charisma of TayNew, paired with fantastic romance scenes and great comedic beats, makes it a fun ride overall.Was this review helpful to you?
Toto and Kanit or Tay and New??
Oh my precious TayNew 🥹🥹 I absolutely ADORED this drama. It's the first in a while that I actually watched while airing cause I couldn't wait lol. TayNew is my Ult couple and the reason I actually got into Thai BLs so I may be biased but I enjoyed every moment of this drama.TayNew have undeniable chemistry and it really shone in this drama!! Tay was so goofy I was literally laughing every episode it was such a good time. New I cannot with how CUTE that man is. I often found myself forgetting that they were playing Kanit and Toto cause it just felt like I was watching Tay and New be themselves.
I will definitely be watching this drama again, the story was goofy and not serious. The drama was fun and not stressful. All the actors did an amazing job portraying their characters. I want more (maybe a special episode 👀) Highly HIGHLY recommend!!

Good to pass the time
I was never really a fan of TayNew to start with, as much as I personally love New as an actor. But I admit this might be the worst BL both of them have ever played in. Don't get me wrong, the drama is not that bad, it's quite funny, and you might have a good laugh, but the plot is very weak and the characters' development too.We follow the journey of a first responder who actually does everything but his job, and a flight attendant who sets foot on a plane once a year, but seems to have a lot of time on his hand to scheme about his cheating boyfriend. What's even the point of giving them a job at this point ? The series title "A Dog and a Plane" might confuse you about the importance of their status, but really, they will do anything but go to work.
The story is more focused on how they come to be a couple after what happened to Kanit. And even there, it didn't seem like much of a challenge for Toto, who probably just had to say "hi" to convince Kanit to date him. In fact, even the beginning where they are supposed to hate each other feels like a ten-year-old school fight. The story is lacking in every way, but it's not the worst BL I've watched. Just good enough, so it passes the time while not being that bored.

A highly entertaining and well-made BL drama comedy
A highly entertaining and well-made series that is perfect for its genre. It delivers a great pacing and mostly feel-good vibes throughout the entire story. In a market where the industry often just tries to sell BL series using forced intimate scenes, it is incredibly refreshing to watch a show with real professional acting and a solid script.The comedy timing is excellent, and the main leads have an amazing, natural chemistry that makes the whole show a joy to watch.The story is a really fun drama-comedy with well-developed characters. I loved the chaotic detective-like plans and the playful back-and-forth between the main characters.
If I have to find any minor critique, it is that the plot can be a bit unrealistic at times. The characters seem to have an unrealistic amount of free time on their hands despite having very demanding jobs. Also, the final resolution towards the end felt a bit too chaotic and silly. However, none of these small flaws took away from my enjoyment of the show. After all, it’s a comedy, not a documentary.
Ultimately, this is a truly great romantic comedy that is well worth watching. It is the absolute perfect series to binge-watch on a boring weekend, or when you are just tired of world politics and need something fun to escape into.

I love seeing TayNew in their working era. A content creator explained the title of the series, and it made me appreciate it even more. The "dog" isn't just about acting like a dog. It represents someone from a lower social class, while the "plane" symbolizes someone from a higher class. Knowing that adds another layer to the story.I like how this series made me smile. Toto is one of those rare characters who's an absolute a**hole but somehow still a total green flag at the same time. 😂 While the story doesn't have much depth and a lot of the scenes are pretty predictable, it's still an enjoyable watch if you're looking for something light and fun, especially if you're an avid TayNew fan.
And let's not forget MondRyu. I've loved them ever since That Summer. ❤️

Finally some grown ups!
It was great watching actors my age telling a story that wasn't just teen romance, young love, or old flames reconnecting. It felt mature, funny, and real. One thing this drama got right was making the journey just as enjoyable as the destination. The story mixes adventure, comedy, and romance in a way that never feels too heavy, and I had fun following the characters as they kept finding themselves in unexpected situations. At the heart of it all, though, was the relationship between the leads. TayNew are my parents, and once again they reminded me why I'll never get tired of watching them together. Their chemistry is so effortless that even the simplest conversations feel special, and they bring so much warmth and comfort to their characters. I do think a few plotlines could have been explored a little more before wrapping everything up, but that didn't stop me from enjoying the ride. HALF-ASSED REVIEW FOR A HALF-ASSED SERIES ;)
Finally, forced myself to end this series. And the only thing I'm gonna say is it's a hot mess...idek what this series was supposed to be but it did turn out to be a huge disappointment and a waste of the whole budget (that surely was 10$). Never thought any series could ever out-trash Revamp but this series debunked that thought.It tried to be a comedy, horribly failed at that, every joke fell flat, the humour was questionable but hopefully someone found it funny (becuz I definitely did not).
It tried to be a Romance series, Half-assed this genre too...Don't even start with me about the 2nd lead, Cuz they contributed nothing to the whole series. I absolutely loved MondRyu in That Summer but this series did not do them any justice.
TBH this series did not do any justice to TayNew too. It literally failed at Everything!

Wish I skipped this one
This show was so mid. It didn't ever really hook me either, but I decided to stick with it. The characters to me weren't very interesting and neither were the relationships. I really didn't care for a single character in this show which is made it hard to care about the relationships at all. There wasn't anything wrong with the show really, just very eh the entire time. I didn't care for a lot of the acting either, but I think it was more on the script rather than the actors. The chemistry between the cast was great though. I honestly wanted to give it a 3/10 but since there wasn't anything exactly wrong with it, I gave it an extra point.Was this review helpful to you?
A Swing And A Miss
There is just something so satisfying about watching New Thitpoom and Tay Tawan perform together again. In addition, there is a magnetism about seeing these two back on the screen again. They are indeed stalwarts in the BL industry. This series proved that they could bring back their old magic despite being saddled with a bad script. Everything seems so natural to them. However, as entertaining as these two are (and others), it was the silly plot and the lame screenplay that infantilized their attachment and made it embarrassing. They deserved better. This is a fun series to relax with; it is just a warm, comforting, romantic comedy. It is not meant to be deep and it will no doubt put a smile on your face. It certainly has a couple of good tug-at-your-heartstrings moments here and there. Overall, this is the perfect escape series from all the world’s ills and a pleasant diversion from its problems. Also, regarding the actress chosen for Toto's mom, she looks more like his love interest than his mother.
Overall, it's a series with a light plot, and the comedy lands well. By the way, in the final episode near the ending scene, I thought the incident was a joke and Toto was going to pull another cringey act like usual, lmao.
