Sweet, Lighthearted, and Full of Charm!

I love how the story is lighthearted and adorable. The characters really bring out the best in each other, showing genuine care and support, which makes it a perfect feel-good watch. The chemistry between them is undeniable, and you can tell they have so much potential as actors. They seem really comfortable together, probably because they're close in age, so their interactions feel natural and unforced. Considering they're both idols, I expected there to be some awkwardness, but it actually works quite well. The dynamic feels effortless and adds to the overall charm of the show.

As for the music, it does fit the mood, but it’s not particularly memorable. Since the series is so short, the soundtrack doesn't have much time to make a lasting impression. It serves as a subtle background element, complementing the story without really standing out.

I also really liked the kisses—they feel so natural and genuine, much better than some of the ones I’ve seen in other BLs. It's refreshing to see such authentic moments on screen.

If you're looking for something short, sweet, and light, this is definitely worth watching. It's the perfect blend of cute moments, feel-good energy, and a charming dynamic between the leads.

good development

Overall: I enjoyed the back and forth with the leads/their dynamic. 50 episodes between 1-2 minutes each aired on Vigloo app which also has (Match Play, Rule #1 No Dating Rule, Love in the Apocalypse - My Man's Man is from a female character's perspective and I wouldn't call it a BL series)

Content Warnings: punch, blackmail, homophobia

What I Liked
- caring moments
- non dead fish lip press kiss
- stood up/supported partner

Room For Improvement
- background music was too loud at times

How to Watch for Free (episodes are 50 coins each, you can't skip episodes but once unlocked they stay unlocked forever, there are additional tasks to get more coins like following the company on social media)

Day 1
- watch episodes 1-7 (free on the app)
- can watch 10 episodes free with ads, I unchecked the auto unlock, clicked off of that box and another box popped up saying "view ads to watch for free 0/10" (I did that for eps 8-16)
- watch 15 ads per day for 30 coins each on the rewards page and do the daily check in (eps 17-25)

Days 2 & 3
- watch the 10 episodes, do the daily checking, watch the 15 ads per day (should take 2-3 days in total to watch for free)

Simple and cute. A great cozy watch after a long and stressful day

Thanks to an MDLer who posted about “You Want Some?” on the feeds, I was able to check out this sweet and cute Korean BL Vertical. I’ve seen many Chinese Verticals, and this would be my first Korean one.

The story is simple yet interesting. Two college students bet on who is going to fall in love with the other first. It’s not hard to guess why one of them suggested this bet in the first place. After a long stressful day, this is the perfect stress-reliefer. The acting is decent for a low budget production as I have seen much worse from a regular Korean BL. In about 1 hour and 12 minutes (I watched the consolidated movie version), “You Want Some?” is able to tell a coherent story and shows us how the leads develop feelings for each other, have some minor bumps in their relationship and still gives us a satisfactory ending. The chemistry is good and I like the back-and-forth flirting, especially from the simpleton and flustered male lead. There aren’t any annoying characters, just one ‘villain’ who showed up towards the end. I don’t remember much about the music though.

If you don’t mind a low budget projection and have an hour to kill, this is an easy and entertaining watch.

While this was overall a decent production, with a good script, acting, and pacing, I felt something was missing in terms of the relationship dynamic all the way through to the end.

Jaehyeon was so honest and sincere. He didn’t play games - no hard to get, no mind games. He was honest about what he wanted and direct about what he did and didn’t feel. I loved that. But Sunwoo was the exact opposite. All he did was play mind games. He provoked Jaehyeon into accepting his bet and into kissing him. He purposefully ignored texts and said he didn’t want to meet up to play hard to get, flirted with girls to make him jealous, and pretended to be sick so he would worry about him. He was always acting nonchalant, like nothing bothered him and he didn’t care that much, even when Jaehyeon was being passionate and honest.

Like there’s a scene where Jaehyeon talks crap about Sunwoo behind his back because he’s jealous and doesn’t want his friend to get close to him. Sunwoo catches him, and Jaehyeon literally gets down on his knees and begs for forgiveness in the middle of the school. And Sunwoo just says not to contact him again and walks away…yet pretends to be sick for a week so Jaehyeon will worry about him while simultaneously ignoring his apology texts. Meanwhile, after they get together, Sunwoo insists that they distance themselves in public and hurts Jaehyeon as a result, but he never apologizes or does anything to make it up to Jaehyeon. It should have been Sunwoo that confidently declared their relationship after that, but instead it was Jaehyeon once again, willingly outing himself in the process of defending Sunwoo. When Jaehyeon is trying to confess back to Sunwoo, Sunwoo hangs up on him and goes out with friends, and then sits with headphones in and ignores what he’s saying. And when Jaehyeon finally does confess, he literally laughs at him for being cheesy when he’s being completely sincere.

If it was something that was acknowledged and addressed as part of a character arc, that would have been fine, but it’s not. Given that Jaehyeon has a history of people leaving him and him being the one to beg and chase after them, and given that he feels that puts him in a position of being the weaker party, I so wanted his relationship with Sunwoo to be different. But it’s the exact same. Jaehyeon spends the entire time chasing after Sunwoo and there’s never a scenario where Sunwoo reciprocates. Given that Sunwoo even acknowledges and likes that Jaehyeon is a pure, straightforward person, I just found that really disappointing.

The ending was realistic, but mildly disappointing for me as a romantic. It was essentially, they live together but are super busy and barely have time for one another, but they’re still in love. They live separate lives during the day and lean on each other at nights. Realistic and sweet, objectively, but the “live separate lives during the day” part rubbed me the wrong way a little bit. Maybe it was just the way it was phrased.

There were no dead fish lip presses in this, but it’s all closed mouth with very minimal lip movement. And they cut all the kiss scenes extremely short, like a second or two. There was a (closed mouth) make out scene, but they cut it and just showed second long snippets as flashbacks, which was disappointing.

In terms of other people drama…Jaehyeon has an ex, but he’s completely over her. She approaches them once and hits on Sunwoo via DM, but he never responds. A girl that Jaehyeon had confessed to reciprocates and they hang out a few times, but Jaehyeon accidentally blurts out that he kissed someone (Sunwoo), so that ends. Sunwoo had a friend in high school who he liked but fell out with after the girl the friend liked confessed to Sunwoo, and the friend proceeded to shit talk him behind his back in response. That friend transfers to the same college and while Sunwoo tells him to keep his distance and they ultimately cut ties, their relationship still bothered me a little. When Jaehyeon calls to apologize, Sunwoo hangs up on him when a friend approaches and then changes his mind about hanging out with friends after finding out that the ex-friend would be there. Why would he WANT to go for drinks with him? And the ex-friend gave Sunwoo a pair of headphones back in high school that he constantly used, all the way until the end of the show when Jaehyeon gifts him new ones. It felt symbolic, like he was holding onto that guy until Jaehyeon replaced him, and that didn’t settle well with me.

Consent issues: Sunwoo provokes Jaehyeon into kissing him for the first time - “I bet the reason you keep getting rejected is because you’re a bad kisser.” They kiss while both of them are drunk twice, and Jaehyeon is not fully mentally on board with it in the morning either time.

Boundary issues: When Sunwoo tells Jaehyeon not to contact him again, he respects that. He sends a bunch of apology texts but doesn’t harass him when he gets no response. But when he finds out he’s sick and hasn’t been seen in a week, he goes to his house and says that if Sunwoo ignores his texts, he’ll just come to his house instead. There’s a scene where Jaehyeon tells Sunwoo not to drink because he’s sick, and it’s phrased as an instruction rather than a request. Jaehyeon outs both of them without Sunwoo’s consent in response to someone picking on Sunwoo, but he does apologize afterward.

Wel...

Episodes are short but if combine them all it could be a full length movie. Taking that into consideration I feel like it's one of those BLs made just to gain clicks. Even tho there was so many short episodes the story almost felt repetitive and predictable.
Honestly in many BLs it can be sensed that actors are not comfortable with kissing eachother and that's one of those BLs. Tense closed lips so that it would pass as a BL and gain views but I feel like actors were trying to not get intimate. Unfortunately many BL are made either just for money or as a test run for new actors to gain popularity quickly. I would love to see more BLs that are taken more seriously not as a easy money without proper attention to details. It's not tragic tho. It's just nothing really to remember.

Chill to watch

The main actors are handsome and they are good in acting. It's refreshing to see Korean idols doing BL movies. Just awesome! I will re-watch this since it's addicting. It could have been longer. I hope more movie payments for both of them. I can't wait to see them acting again. Love love love love🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

It’s definitely my type

With so many BL series out there now, each bringing something different to the table, I’ve found myself growing a bit weary of the long, dramatic storylines. Recently, I’ve started exploring vertically-filmed short dramas—and this one has been an absolute gem.

Simple, soothing, and emotionally uplifting, this series has become a small sanctuary for me after stressful days at work or with family. The story, told beautifully through the two main characters, is easy to follow yet deeply touching. Their innocent, sincere, and quietly powerful love story pulled me in completely.

Watching them made me wish for a relationship like theirs—pure, genuine, and full of warmth. Of course, having someone we like feel the same way back is nothing short of a miracle, so let’s do something pull him back to us… But hey, a little wishful thinking never hurt, right?

No need for more words—this one's a perfect 10/10 for me. Healing, heartfelt, and highly recommended.

Ps: I completed this series, then hurry to write this at 2.00 a.m

I thought it was cute!

Annoying to watch on a platform that showed it in micro-episodes, but I thought it was cute--and the scene with Jaehon in the school hallway (you'll know the one) had me YELLING. For a simple university BL story it was endearing and entertaining--it's not high art, but the actors give it their all and I was definitely entertained. I even sat around and gathered the virtual coins so I could watch it uninterrupted. If you can watch it easily, it's a fun short to see.

Simple Yet Super Enjoyable

This was such a simple yet super enjoyable story! The premise is fun—Jaehyun always finds himself liking the same girls who, unfortunately for him, all seem to like Sunwoo instead. The twist? Sunwoo decides to give Jaehyun a "taste" of why everyone likes him, leading to a bet where the first one to confess has to grant the other's wish. Predictable? Maybe. But that’s exactly what makes it so fun!

The dynamic between Jaehyun and Sunwoo is great—their back-and-forth interactions are entertaining, and their relationship develops in a way that feels natural and satisfying. The trio's friendship adds another layer of warmth, with Jaehyun’s friends being genuinely supportive, which is always a nice touch.

Also, a huge plus for openly using the terms bisexual and gay! Representation like this, especially when it's just casually included in the story, always makes things better.

The ending wraps everything up in a simple yet perfect way, leaving you with a smile. Overall, a lighthearted, fun, and easy read that delivers exactly what it promises!
