I ❤️ a good jiejie romance & this is one of them!

Dramazone is one of my favourite accounts on Youtube because of the selection of vertical dramas there & impeccable subtitling. I had watched Meng Na's dramas before and thought her acting was so-so until I watched this.

What I liked:
1. Romance - What started off as a kept man relationship soon became a real loving relationship. There were plenty of steamy kisses in this drama but I like that the couple was affectionate with each other behind closed doors. I love the contrast between cool, calm & collected FL and coquettish & warm ML. Did I mention I love older woman-younger man romance??? This drama did the trope justice!
2. Huo Lan Chuan characterisation - He's younger than FL but confident & self-assured. I love that he's supportive & very flirty. Liang Si Wei was excellent in this role. Thank you director for the topless scenes.
3. Nan Wan characterisation - Another drama with FL as jewellery designer and I enjoyed this one. I like that she is strong & go-getter. Meng Na was well cast in this role because she totally embodied this character.
4. Rivalry - I love how the writer uses competitions to demonstrate rivalry between FL & villain. Both competitions were exciting to watch.

What I disliked:
1. Villain - What a scheming individual! She didn't even mind hurting her body as long as she got what she wanted.

Nice and Daring Love Story

I was attracted by this drama because of its unique and daring story. Usually I follow a drama because the ML is so handsome. Indeed, the ML here Liang Si Wei is very handsome and macho. However, what first attracted me here is the daring and bright FL.
When her fiance left her the FL showed strength and courage and intelligence. She didn't become a damsel in distress but a self reliant, strong, independent and resourceful person. It also intrigued me that she decided to pay the ML after a night of delicious tryst and later keep him as a sort of lover boy for pay thinking that he was a bar male model and poor. The FL showed that she has money and is a liberated woman. She is very beautiful, so sexy and worthy of being a woman of high fashion.
The ML is actually a CEO who pretended to be poor and he is worthy of the role being so handsome with a striking body of a hunky and stud. I love the way he helped her secretly and at the same time allowing her to grow and be successful on her own.
I'm glad that the family of the ML are not shown in this story to give additional problems to the FL.

I love a good jiejie romance, and this one was such a fun surprise. The chemistry between the leads is insane — the cool, confident FL and the flirty, golden-retriever ML just fit together so naturally. What starts as a “kept man” setup turns into a real, adorable relationship with plenty of heat but also a lot of softness.

The FL is strong, stylish, and totally in control of her life, while the ML is secretly a CEO who supports her without overshadowing her. The rivalry subplot is entertaining, though the villain is definitely over-the-top.

Overall, it’s cute, bold, and super addictive — a perfect pick if you like older woman–younger man romances with great chemistry and very little unnecessary drama.

I loved the MCs’ dynamics — their chemistry is the only thing that truly carried this drama — but everything else is utterly ridiculous. The villain is over-the-top, the plot goes wild for no reason, and I hate the toxic parent shit shown for asian parents in these dramas for the sake of sotry and thats waht i hate it here as well.

If you’re watching purely for the couple, they’re adorable and fun. But the rest? Definitely a “turn your brain off” experience.
