Not bad
Usually the second seasons of BLs are either an extended episodes where we get to see the "honeymoon" phase (with rivals introduced) or a closure if the first one didn't have it/ended with a breakup, or just a continuation of the story if it's too popular.Mostly I've seen the former and I always jump head first to watch the second season of the shows I've enjoyed.
This one is no exception, it was great, enjoyable, same vibes as the first, and very entertaining and funny.
The story isn't the best as it lacks originality or any new additions as expected, rivals appear, miscommunications, misunderstandings, then solving everything at the end.
I loved that they added more of the two managers, I wanted to know the backstory of their relationship and I'm glad I found it in the second season.
It's light, cute, fluffy romcom, highly recommended ~

Nice follow up to Season 1
This season 2 is as comedic as the first one which i appreciate a lot. I laughed and smile throughout the episodes and the acting is always really good and extravagant. A bit overwhelmed with the no communication/jealousy plot they went for but they still cute and funny and i just want them to be super duper happy which they end up being by the end! Very easy to watch! Was this review helpful to you?

A Hilarious Satire Sequel
I placed spoilers at the end of this review.Just like the first season, this was a hilarious, cute, and heartwarming. It is a very obvious tongue in cheek series which means you should watch it with an open BL mindset and a sense of humor. The script had the most widely used lack of/miscommunication story elements to a hilariously absurd level, but in a good way. They also gave just the right amount of info/time with the side characters and storylines. Once again, it had a lot of components that shouldn’t work but somehow did. The cast was awesome and did a great job with their characters. I also like how the actors didn’t take things too seriously. This had great cinematography and graphics, but had one (sort of) negative aspect about this series.
Random Note:
Although this had more episodes, it actually has less running time than the first season. Either way, this is a good example that you don’t need a lot of episodes to tell a great story.
I liked that they separated the running time with 6 shorter episodes rather have 3 long episodes.
There were a few times throughout the series when there are no English subtitles on GagaOOLala, but it was during some minor scenes and I was still able to figure out what was going on.
******Potential Spoiler Alert******
The sort of one negative aspect was the kissing scenes in which we see the standard dead fish lips. However, I have a feeling this was done on purpose to add to the BL satire.

Just falls short from the prequel's score for me
DisclaimerWhat I am writing here are my views and thoughts about this series. Some of you may not like it. That does not give you the right to try to come at me with your opinions on why this series should get a higher or lower score and why it is better/worse than I think it is. You have your own opinions, and I have mine. Kindly respect that.
I want to start off by saying I totally adored the predecessor of this (BL Drama no Shuen ni Narimashita: Crank Up Hen). So, when I saw that a second season was being done with this couple, I was ecstatic seeing them once more again. I will admit that it had the same formula that made the first season work – but yet, somehow, I honestly felt that it fell short and just did not live up to its predecessor.
Don't get me wrong – I still adore all of the characters. I just felt that this season was somehow not up to par as the first one. Maybe because we saw these shenanigans and cliches in the first season, and while it was cute then, it kind of fell flat here. And I personally think that's why I did not enjoy it as much as I did with the first season.

watching this just for comedy plot
i love this the same with season 1, but tbh i stayed watch this drama is just for the comedy and not for the skinship lol. i know that the main leads skinship is just so so and not expected anything. but.... the manager's love story is still hanging to me, so there is nothing different from their story in season 1, which is very unfortunate :( that's all from my review i think i like season 1 better? idkWas this review helpful to you?

What is Its Point?
Some things simply should not be extended. And this is one series that should not have been prolonged. While I was not particularly enamored with the first season, I thought its concept was an interesting one and found it reasonably entertaining. So, I took a ‘chance’ on this second season. What a complete disappointment this was! Wow! It took me by surprise how inept and really substandard this story became. Not only is this story bad; so was the acting. Overall, this is an astonishingly dumb plot with zero growth in the characters. The main actors have no real chemistry either individually or even less as a couple. Both seemed only half-hearted in their attempts to portray their personas. Worse than all of that is that there is no emotional payoff either. Not for one split second did I believe they were a ‘couple’ in any way, shape, or form, and did not for a New York minute ever believe they were in love. Their acting was rote and perfunctory. Was this review helpful to you?

A Fitting Start to an Entertaining Sequel!!
The second season of I Became the Main Role of a BL picks up exactly where the first left off. Only now, the stage is set, not for introductions, but for deeper entanglements. We already know Yuichiro and Hajime. We’ve rooted for them, laughed with them, watched them stumble their way into something that looks a lot like love. Now, we get to see what happens when the confessions are out in the open, but the growing pains of a new relationship are just beginning. And growing pains there are delivered, of course, with the same over-the-top drama and comedic flair that made Season 1 so memorable.
This time around, the tension leans into jealousy, miscommunication, and good old-fashioned romantic chaos. Hajime’s past shows up in the form of Haibara Ryunosuke (played by Furuya Robin), a familiar face that clearly rattles Yuichiro. At the same time, Hajime grows uneasy with how close Yuichiro is to Kuromiya Ryoga (Iwaya Shogo), his longtime friend. It’s the kind of circular jealousy that’s relatable, exasperating, and, thanks to this show’s comedic instincts, hilarious.

SheCo
