This Drama is a 10
This Drama was sooo good. It had me laughing, crying, kicking my feet in the air. The Actors did such a great job portraying the charakters and i especially loved fahs' hungry eyes when he looked at phoon. I also read the novel and while I'm sad that we didn't get to see Tiger's, Jo's and Fah's revenge on Phoon's father from the book (I really wished they'd shown that) I still loved it a lot. I'm really sad that Fah's & Phoon's Story is over but I'm also really looking forward to seeing Arthit & Daotok next week.Was this review helpful to you?

Maybe my favorite story from the anthology
Typhoon and fah storyline pulled all my heartstrings,i was so curious about it when season 1 aired bcz their interactions left me wanting to know their story more, i was thrilled during s2, phoon who suffered a lot from emotional and physical abuse from his father and lost his suppprt system, his sister, who loved him a lot yet died on unfortunate accident, phoon lived with guilt, he basically lived in the dark till he met his crush fah once again, he wanted his love yet tge father once again ruined that for him, it was heartbreaking watching him give up on someone who love, but luckily he met thebest group of friends, ter, north, dao, these three made him try again with cutest idea, fah in other hand struggled to understand the switch on phoon treatment till he learned that yhe boy who gives him daily gift is him, he loved the gift sender so loving phoon wasnt hard, he became his light, helped him against the father, made him meet his mom, it wzs touching.The scene when phoon let go of fun made me cry a lot
Anyway i kept ranting but i truly loved this story

He is so cute... Tonliew is so so so adorable, and the cuteness of the character feels so natural, well, bcs it IS! He's naturally adorable (and so tiny omg). I loved their chemistry, how sweet and gentle their whole relationship is.
The acting is SO amazing. But obviously, the star here is Tonliew as Typhoon. The way that he portrayed raw emotions, grief, panic. He gave in fully for the character and it was so freaking good. Like... I want him booked and busy. He's so talented.
Also how funny is that the moment that New steps back from directing, suddenly the quality is SO MUCH better. He's so fucking bad as a director, really, it amazes me...
My deducting points tho are because I think that the story should've been more... smooth. It feels abrupt, the transition from extremely angsty to suddenly cuteness and a giddy world. Ofc, it makes sense, partially, with Typhoon's personality. Even while facing the HORRORS, he's still sweet and docile, gentle and smiley. He's so strong.
But even while partially making sense, it feels a little... unrealistic? Too quick! One moment he was scared of being close to Tonfah and then suddenly he wanted him back without fearing it much. I understand that his friends encouraged him but still... some details just feel like little story holes.
Whatever, this doesn't make the experience of watching bad. Not at all, it's such a sweet and gentle story. But ofc, for people who like HEAVY DRAMA... that's not what you will get. It's gentle, healing, soft and sweet. Yeah, there is some angst but the whole series is definitely not about that.
I'm super excited to see more of BeverTonliew!

My favorite couple in the fourever series
I watched 1st 2 episodes of ths drama and later i read the novel cz i was too curious about their story. I think until episode 6 they were pretty inline with the novel but they changed the story a bit in ep 7 and 8. I would say the novel was much better but this was really good too. It did justice to the novel. I really loved both Phoon and Fah. Crave for a gang like Phoon's 🥺. Love the supportive bestie. But I'd have liked it even more if they chose the novel ending for the dad (they made it kinda legal here) n also i wanted to see the whole gang going to japan with phoon to meet his mom and the funny interaction between north and Phoon's brother. But for an 8 episode adaptation they did really well. I also liked that they clearly separated all the stories like P10L unlike fourever season 1 where they mixed both the stories. This makes it easier to watch and i prefer it this wayWas this review helpful to you?

Il m'a fallu tellement de temps pour terminer ce drama qu'à un moment donné, il a atterri dans ma liste des abandons. Quelqu'un aurait dû donner les commandes à Arthit pour qu'il accélère un peu tout ça.Oui, c'est une histoire mignonne, malgré un fond douloureux, mais si lente. Bien sûr, Fah est merveilleux, patient et d'une grande douceur. En réalité, Fah me rappelle le prince charmant d'un conte de fées. Les oiseaux gazouillent quand il entre quelque part. Phoon est comme un adorable chaton. Mais c'est si lent ! Les gestes, les dialogues, les scènes… Leur romance paraît presque candide, elle tire quelques sourires, mais (pour moi) elle ne possède ni tension ni intensité.
Malgré mes critiques, ce n'est pas une mauvaise histoire pour autant, elle ne m'a simplement pas transporté autant que je l'imaginais. Cela dit, c'est plus regardable que la première saison, mais ce n'était pas difficile de faire mieux. Toutefois, je ne peux pas m'empêcher d'être déçue, car la première saison avait montré ce couple avec un si fort potentiel que ça me laisse frustrée de ne pas avoir été capable de sincèrement l'apprécier.
En bref, Beside the Sky est un drama doux avec des personnages attachants, mais où je n'ai pas vraiment réussi à m'impliquer.

Non regge il paragone con la parte 1
Aspettavo con ansia l’inizio della seconda parte di Fourever you (avendo amato molto la parte 1), ma questa prima storia, purtroppo, non mi ha entusiasmata molto. Sarò sincera: verso la fine avevo quasi perso interesse per la storia. Nel complesso è un bl carino e abbastanza leggero, con quel pizzico di dramma che rende tutto meno banale e scontato, ma ci sono un po’ di cose che non funzionano. Innanzitutto Bever, bello ma non molto spontaneo nella recitazione; il modo in cui Phoon prima allontana Fah e poi, come se nulla fosse, decide di corteggiarlo; la situazione del padre di Phoon che viene risolta in un batter d’occhio da Fah; il mod poco chiaro in cui Fah capisce che Phoon è qualcosa di più di un Nong. Insomma, capisco che non è facile adattare una novel abbastanza lunga e corposa in una serie di 8 episodi, ma avrebbero potuto fare molto di meglio, soprattutto curando meglio i dettagli.In conclusione, vale la pena guardarla? Si, ma senza avere chissà quali aspettative.

Situationship, Complicated Hurt & Introvert Vibes
Center point 1 : Story (score : 9)Alasannya:
Aku menyimpan 1 point dari 10 atas pemaksaan alur yang dipercepat.
Setelah aku melihat trailer dan mengetahui tema dari Beside The Sky adalah situationship diantara anak tetangga, aku mengira alur cerita seperti ini akan sedikit lambat dengan mengutamakan pendalaman karakter, penjelajahan chemistry yang berubah secara perlahan dan hati-hati namun seperti roller coaster. Rentang time line nya pun ternyata lebih panjang dan complicated mulai dari masalah keluarga, pemahaman atas jati diri sendiri dan romansa itu sendiri. Aku rasa 8 episode terlalu memaksa untuk menyelesaikan ketiga masalah besar yang paling utama di cerita ini.
Tapi overall aku suka karena mereka tetap memperhatikan poin-poin pentingnya. Sehingga chemistry setiap tokohnya tetap terjaga dan logika cerita tetap berjalan dengan baik. Cinematography adalah yang paling aku suka. Semua tempat, scene yang diambil terlihat indah. Dan pemilihan dialognya sangat berkesan.

Alasannya:
Bever dan Tonliew sangat luar biasa memerankan Tonfah dan Typhoon. Aku bisa merasakan bahwa mereka benar-benar masuk ke tokoh tersebut. Aku ingin berterima kasih kepada orang-orang yang memilih mereka berdua memerankan Tonfah dan Typhoon. Sampai saat ini aku masih sering gelagapan memanggil Bever sebagai Tonfah, begitu juga pada Tonliew, aku masih sulit membedakan dia dengan Typhoon. Keduanya seolah ditakdirkan untuk menghidupkan peran TonfahTyphoon. Apalagi setelah akhirnya aku membaca novelnya. Mereka benar-benar mirip dengan penggambaran TonfahTyphoon. Siapapun yang meng-casting mereka pasti sangat jeli untuk menemukan mereka.
Center point 3: Music/OST (score : 9.5)
Alasannya:
Aku menyimpan 0.5 karena ada beberapa part di lagu Under The Same Sky yang terasa terlalu dibuat mirip atau sama dengan karakter suara pembuat lagu. Aku berekspektasi bisa mendengar karakter suara Bever dan Tonliew sepenuhnya. Tapi, tidak ada yang jelek dengan itu. Karena karakter suara mereka kurasa memang sedikit mirip. Dan suara pembuat lagunya sangat bagus, mulai dari lirik, vibes dan cara mereka berdua mencoba memiliki perasaan saat menyanyikan lagu tersebut.
Semua lagu yang dipilih sangat satu vibes dengan setiap adegan dalam series. Dan aku sangat terkejut karena ada karakter suara lain yang berbahasa jepang untuk memaksimalkan adegan mereka dijepang. Itu adalah keputusan yang paling aku suka.
Center point 4: Rewatch Value (score : 9)
Alasannya:
Aku pasti akan banyak mengulang untuk menonton drama ini. Ada banyak moment dalam hidup, yang meski harus jatuh sejatuhnya, aku harus ingat bahwa Typhoon berhasil bangkit dan bahagia bersama Tonfah. Disaat aku merasa sendirian, aku harus percaya bahwa mungkin orang sepengertian Tonfah itu ada di sekitarku meski aku tidak menyadarinya. Dan aku menyimpan 1 point untuk hal-hal yang aku sayangkan seperti yang aku katakan sebelumnya.
Dan yah,,, aku tidak akan bisa dengan mudah melupakan semua moment manis antara Tonfah dan Typhoon begitu juga dengan persahabatan 4 Dokter dan 4 anak-anak yang menggemaskan itu.
Note: Overall aku menyukai semuanya tentang Beside The Sky kecuali beberapa hal teknis yang aku katakan diatas.

UMA LINDA HISTÓRIA DE AMOR
Sem dúvida esse 1° arco da 2° Temporada me deixou apaixonada pelo Tonfah & Typhoon. A história deles é recheada de amor, afeto, respeito e compreensão, sentimentos que ambos mutuamente sempre desejou um pelo outro.Aqui o espectador descobre a dor, a culpa, o medo e a insegurança que Typhoon sentia por si e por Tonfah. Ele achava que o melhor era evitar e esconder tudo isso, mas o que mais me encantou foi as ações singelas de Tonfah, que não só teve todo carinho e paciência de reconquistá-lo sutilmente, como também teve a coragem de entendê-lo, mesmo sabendo que se abrir era algo muito difícil e delicado à Typhoon.
A partir daí, todos os problemas que pareciam um peso nas costas de Typhoon vão se transformando em cura, leveza e confiança graças a ajuda e companhia de Tonfah, que sequer algum momento desistiu dele, como também de amá-lo.

melhor que a primeira temporada
A segunda temporada começou me ganhando muito facil, principalmente pela direção, porque dá pra perceber logo de cara que não é o mesmo diretor da primeira, a estetica mudou bastante, a iluminação (pelo menos nos primeiros episodios) mais aconchegante, os cenarios mais clean(primeiros episodios tbm), as cenas mais longas e melhor construidas. Tem uma identidade diferente do diretor antigo. Nos primeiros episodios a construção das cenas junto com a atuação entrega uma imersão muito boa, coisa que o diretor anterior não me entregou em nenhum outro BL dele que eu assisti. Porque as coisas do New são meio no corte, tipo: o personagem tá sofrendo, ele mostra o motivo, dai corta pra ele chorando numa luz estourada, sem muitos angulos pra deixar a cena melancólica e fazer nós telespectadores sentirmos a dor dele. Fim. Já em Beside the Skyeu realmente senti o peso da vida do Phoon que inclusive só sofre o pacote completo de desgraça, chega a ser até engraçado de tão absurdo.
Os personagens são o ponto mais forte, com certeza (a magia dos BLs que o New faz e esse diretor novo aqui fez. Desse grupão de amigos unidos se ajudando e tals. Eu amo). Todo mundo tá mais carismatico, mais natural, e até os grupos de amigos parecem mais reais dessa vez. Não fica aquela coisa forçada de “somos os populares bonitões” como parecia na primeira temporada.
No começo o clima mais melancólico e dramático me prendeu mais, porque conforme os episódios foram passando, a série foi mudando pra uma comedia romantica mais leve e colorida, mais proxima do estilo da primeira temporada. Não chegou a ficar ruim, mas eu senti essa quebra. Eu tinha me apegado mais ao tom inicial, então acabou perdendo um pouco do impacto pra mim... (e isso é mais sobre MINHA experiencia). Agora, o maior problema continua sendo o mesmo da primeira temporada que é o desenvolvimento dos romances. Eu gosto muito dos personagens, gosto da dinamica entre eles, acho Fah e Phoon fofos juntos, mas não compro a forma como o romance acontece. Parece sempre apressado ou mal construido. Situações que tinham potencial pra serem profundas acabam sendo resolvidas de qualquer jeito ou simplesmente ignoradas. Esse arco do fake por exemplo, me incomodou mais do que deveria. No começo até achei interessante pelo drama, mas depois começou a ficar meio absurdo. E isso acontece várias vezes, a série cria conflitos bons, mas não sabe desenvolver ou resolver direito. Tem decisões de roteiro que parecem ir contra o proprio desenvolvimento dos personagens. Fora algumas coisas meio aleatórias (tipo certas cenas jogadas só pro fanservice) e escolhas estranhas, como esconder identidade até um ponto que já não faz mais sentido. Outra coisa que senti mais pro final é que a qualidade caiu um pouco. Os primeiros episodios tinham uma direção muito mais cuidadosa (como falei ali em cima), atuação mais convincente, diálogos melhores. Já nos ultimos parece tudo mais corrido e menos profundo como se não tivessem dado o mesmo cuidado ou mudaram de diretor. Momentos que deveriam ter peso não tiveram. Mesmo assim, continuo assistindo. Muito por causa dos personagens e da química do casal principal que funciona muito bem quando a série foca só neles sendo fofos. O elenco no geral também ajuda bastante, já tenho um certo apego. Resumindo: é uma temporada que começa muito forte, me ganhou pela direção, estética e personagens, mas foi se perdendo no desenvolvimento do romance e na forma como conduziram a historia. Ainda assim, não é ruim, só dá aquela sensação de potencial desperdiçado.
