death

base on my perspectives, I think the Japanese movie with same title was more detailed.
Both told same story which got me crying so bad wishing I could save him ….but death just had to come
I am glad because she had a great best friend who was ready to stand by her side.
the main leads are top notch and main lead actor he always knows how to act on his role.
The has a very sad story line and teaches a lot…
“DEATH ISN’T” something to think about
losing someone you love is very heartbreaking
losing the one you care about can make someone go crazy trying think it was all a dream, but reality hits them and at the end of all we all have to move on
the scars still there the pain still there when we remember but life goes on🫂

STOP WHY DID JAEWON HAVE TO DIEE

I honestly loved this movie I don't understand why everyone is hating, like all seoyun wanted was to try something new and jaewon provided with TRUE LOVE like omg, and their first date at the beach was so cute and seoyun learning about jaewon’s mum dying and was so respectable and omg if he didn't die they would definitely would have been endgame like I already see it with jaewon being a stay at home dad and seoyun going off to be a successful artist with loads of exhibitions BUT NO WE JUST NEEDED TO HAVE THE PLOT TWIST WHERE HE HAS A WEAK HEART AND DIES LEAVING SEOYUN ALL ALONE EVEN THOUGH HE WAS THE ONLY WHO UNDERSTOOD HER AND HIS DAD HE WAS PROBABLY ALREADY GOING THROUGH DEPRESSUIN BECAUSE JAEWON’S MUM DIED 5 YEARS BEFOREHAND. and jaewon was such a green flag like he was genuinely just secretly supporting her with her anterograde Armenia where she forgets anything that happens after she experienced a car accident and her memory resets the next day, and yet he comforted her in ways she needed and jaewon didn't want seoyun to know that he knows about his condition because he didn't want her to be painted that the day would end and that she would forget her memories rather than enjoy the present moment with him, especially with the limited time they had left. He knew all the reassuring words yet HE NEEDED THEM HIMSELF BECAUSE HE KNEW HIS DEATH DATE WAS GETTING CLOER AND CLOSE LIKE UGHH and eventually she remembers after visitung the place of their first date, after visiting jaewon’s dad who gave her jaewon’s old iPad and a mini jaewon that was gifted by seoyun made from glass and jaewon’s dad reassured her saying that although some memories fade, what you feel in your heart never leaves. And BRO SHE VISITS HIS FUNERAL AND CRIES BUT BECAUSE OF HER CONDITION SHE FORGETS THE FUNERAL THE NEXT DAY YET OBVIOUSLY FINDS OUT AGAIN THROUGH HER JOURNAL SO SHEKS GOING THROUGH THIS CINSTANT CYCLE OF PAIN UNTIL JIMIN, HER BEST FRIEND, DELETES JAEWON FROM HER JOURNAL BUT THEN OUT IF GUILT SHE TELLS SEOYUN ABOUT HIM AGAIN since seoyun constantly asked jimin about who the guy was in her sketches since seoyun used to sketch jaewon a lot since he was such great sketch material ehehe, AND THEN THE MOVIE ENDS WITH HER SAYING IF EVERYONE WILL FORGET HIM BIT BY BIT THEN SHE’LL TRY AND REMEBER HIM BIT BY BIT.

What a crock of impossible nonsense - makes a mockery of the real condition

What a waste of a bunch of superlative actors delivering their roles in one of the worst scripts ever made into a movie.

What a joke was made out of her ailment!!

I mean really .. no reference to how she is even attending regular school with her condition.
How she is even bonding with her new schoolmates!!

Keep it a secret?

Really ?? 🫪

everyone in the school would have found out on day 2 that something is wrong with her because she definitely cannot remember all the 20 or 30 children in her class and what they did.
Here I am assuming that her Bestie is someone she knew before the accident. In this kind of amnesia, you remember most of the stuff from before the accident; after that pretty much the entire memory is compromised.

Imagine looking blankly at your teacher and having no idea who she is, she’s not really clicking pictures of every person that she’s meeting and writing long notes to remember next day. That’s superhuman!!!

And this kind of amnesia you don’t have to fall asleep, You pretty much can forget every several hours. What happened earlier in the day.

A child like this is usually learning in a social environment geared to support her.

There was absolutely no sign of any kind of awareness or support in the school in her house amongst her Friend, nothing!!!🙄🙄🙄

What sort of crappy research did the scriptwriter do?

This drama makes a complete mockery of people suffering from the real ailment.

This drama could been made to raise awareness of the condition and what happens to the people around the person suffering from it.
The sweet love story could have been a side plot to weave the story together.

If anyone watched Born to Run (ok that was a drama - but still you’ll get what I am talking about ) you’d know what it means to make a life after an accident leaves you impaired - and this anterograde amnesia is AS serious as a physical amputation - it’s an amputation of the mind and its memory making ability

Wow! I turned it on without any big expectations, but I was pleasantly surprised! Even though the first half felt average and used a lot of clichés, it was still enjoyable. But then the second half came and skyrocketed my interest! The choice felt very unique and I really enjoyed this movie and its mix of genres!

I have unfortunately not watched the original Japanese movie but I will definitely check it out now!

it's a very nice drama but it's a bit emotional

my review for this ,movie is that this was a great movie. I do recammend watching this since it's very sweet and emotional at the same time. I really liked the characters and the actors. I loved how the girl has a memory issue and her boyfriend helped her with it. it was also sad when she forgot about everything on the scene where they were on the bus since she loses memory when she sleeps. the ending was good but very emotional. overall I really loved this movie and it's very fun to watch so ya.

Good, But Not Great!

This was a show I watched on Netflix that had been sitting on my watch list for quite a while. I finally decided to watch this and was a bit disappointed to say the least. I would only recommend you to watch this if you want something fresh and new. The premise of this show was very intriguing to me, but I just felt like they underdelivered with how the pacing was to the actual story. The story wasn't half bad but it could have been much better imo. At about the 1 hour mark I seriously was regretting watching this film mainly because the story for me at that point wasn't really doing anything special. However, the story would really pick up towards the finale of this movie as there was a twist that I did not see coming with the ML. Also, the film could have been a bit shorter then the 1 hour and 47 minute runtime as a couple of scenes could have been cut out as they did not really have much significance.

The one good thing it did have going for it from the start of the film was the instrumental. The instrumental was amazing and really fit well into the scenes of the film. Since this is a spoiler free review I won't be able to get most of my actual thoughts across for the story aspect of things but like I've mentioned before the execution was weak. In my personal opinion this is a film that had potential to be great but it ends up in just being a okayish to good film at best. Again, I would recommend this movie if you want to just cross it off your list or want a fresh new approach to a K-Movie.

pd: sigo llorando

tearjerker

this story reminds me of 20th century girl. I knew it would be a sad movie but I still kept on watching. I thought maybe it could have a happy ending but of course that's not the case. it started all happy and sweet but I ended up crying my eyes out. it taught me to appreciate every single moment and that every single memory is precious. we all have an ending to our lives, so let's appreciate every single moment we have left, because who knows, it might be our last.

This Movie Literally Broke Me

Some movies make you cry. Some movies make you sit in silence afterward, staring at the credits like they just personally insulted your soul. And then there are movies like Even If This Love Disappears Tonight—a film that doesn’t just tug at your heart, it grabs it with both hands and completely shatters it.

I went into this thinking it would be a bittersweet romance. Something soft. Something emotional, sure—but still safe. I expected something like Korea’s version of 50 First Dates: the sweet, repeated love story, the gentle comedy, the “we’ll find our way back to each other” vibe.

And for a while, it feels like that.

There’s charm. There’s warmth. There’s the kind of innocent connection that reminds you of what it feels like to be loved without conditions. The premise is familiar—love in the face of memory loss, love that must be rebuilt over and over, love that doesn’t get to live in the comfort of “tomorrow will be the same.”

But trusting a Korean writer to keep it light is like trusting the ocean not to drown you.

Because what starts as a tender romance slowly turns into something else entirely: a story about love that is temporary, fragile, and painfully human. And if you’re grieving—if you’ve lost someone, if you’ve had to say goodbye to someone you still love—this movie doesn’t just hit close to home.

It walks into your home, sits beside you, and presses directly on the bruise you’ve been trying not to touch.

What makes Even If This Love Disappears Tonight so devastating isn’t just the tragedy. It’s how real the emotions feel. The film captures that specific kind of love where you know you don’t have forever, but you love anyway. The kind where every moment becomes sacred because it might be the last one. The kind where you start memorizing the way someone laughs, the way they look at you, the way they exist—because some part of you already senses you’ll be left with only memories.

And grief… grief is all over this movie, even before you realize it.

It’s in the quiet scenes. The pauses. The way the characters try to act normal while something unbearable looms over them. That feeling of trying to enjoy love while time is stealing it in the background. The film doesn’t romanticize pain—it just shows it. Raw and unavoidable.

And then comes the twist.

Not just a plot twist for shock value, but the kind of twist Korean films are infamous for—the kind that doesn’t just change the story, but changes you. It reframes everything you thought you were watching and forces you to realize you weren’t watching a romance.

You were watching a goodbye.

The hardest part is how the movie captures what it means to keep loving someone even when they can’t hold onto you. Even when they can’t remember. Even when they can’t stay. That’s what grief is, isn’t it? Loving someone who is no longer reachable, but still feeling them everywhere. Still carrying them in your chest like a weight you didn’t ask for but can’t put down.

This movie understands that kind of pain.

And as someone grieving, it broke me in a way I didn’t expect. Because it reminded me that love isn’t always about getting the happy ending. Sometimes love is about showing up anyway. About choosing someone again and again, even when the universe is cruel enough to make it temporary.

By the end, I wasn’t just crying—I was mourning. Not only for the characters, but for everything grief brings back up: the helplessness, the unfairness, the silent anger at life for continuing to move forward when your heart is stuck behind.

Even If This Love Disappears Tonight is beautiful, but it’s also brutal. It’s soft, but it’s ruthless. It’s the kind of movie that leaves you emotionally winded, like you’ve just survived something.

So if you’re looking for a cute romance, this might fool you at first.

But if you’re grieving, if your heart is already cracked open, be warned: this movie doesn’t just make you cry.

It literally breaks you.

And somehow… you’re grateful for it.

surprisingly beautiful

I cried the last 20 Minutes straight until the movie ends.
I didn't expected anything, didn't read or heard about it, just maybe a little hesitation if it will be like other school themed productions.
it surprised me so much and beautifully.
I liked everything about it:
the acting, the atmosphere, the music, the colors, the area they filmed at and I didn't knew before....and.... that it hadn't had a happy ending actually as well. usually I don't like it.
but in this case, it suits so well to everything.
the only thing I would have loved to know is, if ji-min and tae-hun got together ;)
totally recommendation from my side 🫰🏻

Even if This Love Disappears Tonight (2025) : 2/4/2026

This movie was really good and really mad me cry, even though I already knew the plot. This is because there is a Japanese version which I have already watched. However, I liked that instead of just being a remake there were some differences from the Jversion. For instance, I like that the best friend had a love interest, that was cute to see. I also liked that you are really going in blind, not like the Jversion where you kind of know the ending. I also really liked how it foreshadowed the ending, it was explicit, but you could tell it was relevant. The only thing I didn't really like was that we didn't get to see her expressing her emotions after what happens, mainly because I feel by seeing it in the jversion it showed how much it hurt for her to remember each day. It also gave more sense to why the people around her made the descion they did. I'm also a lil mixed on the final ending because while it was bittersweet I kinda liked how sad and heartbreaking the jversion was.
