The Sweetest Story Ever
A Korean version of the American movie 50 First Dates without the offensive stupid guy humor that Adam Sandler is so famous for. This is the sweetest love story between two high school students. One, the FL, who had an accident that left her with the type of amnesia where her memory is erased every night while she sleeps. Enter the ML, a shy but handsome boy who asks out our FL on a bet so his deskmate will stop being bullied. However, he's noticed this girl before so doesn't really mind. The majority of the movie is their dating life, which is sweet, meaningful, and will tug at your heart. Their time together is short but strong and significant. That's all I will say and leave the rest for you to watch.I have to say that I came home today from work having a really hard, emotionally taxing day and watching this movie was exactly what I needed. A special thanks to the screenwriter for an excellent story, the director, the production crew and all the actors who brought meaning to the story. You touched my heart.

When I started this movie I had no idea it would grab me into it the way it did. I absolutely loved it! I think the casting is superb. I laughed, I smiled and I cried. You know, one of those really ugly cries. Yep, that was me. 😭I wasn't expecting it to end the way it did. I guess it was how it just had to be.
The only reason I don't think I can watch it again is because I just don't think I could take it.
I definitely recommend watching this movie!!

so.... we learnt NOTHING from 21st centrury girl or what
i cried. ALOT. esp in the 2nd half... i dident expect this movie to have that much effect on me (whats what we all thoguth about 20th century girl too) but the storyline is BEAUTIFULLLLLUH!!!!!!!! i mean when i read some of the reviews they said the japanese one potrayed the role of ji min (SL) better but i havent seen the japanese one so just based on the korean one i think her role was very important but not much seen?? if that makes sense. but then again we cant expect a movie to have the same effect as a 16 episode long drama right? coming to my point, the plot was amazing, the production - crazy. the colour grading in some scenes actually made me feel something... and towards the end , the scenes where they show the main lead slowly remembering all of the memories she made with jae won- THAT BROKE ME YA ALL. also when he died. that was kind of a shock? cuz that came out of NOWHERE. i wish he had like a little bit more backstory? few more signs that hes going thru smth related to his heart.. i rmemeber there was that once scene when he tried to run and his chest starts to pain or smth and he starts gripping it, and that he cant play sports nd stuff due to his heart.... if they started with this like not playing sports or games , id assume hes rlly studious and does not like to waste time on things like that but when he was talking to ji min was when i realised he had a heart condition..... maybe thats where the plot was lacking a bit? EMOTION WISE yes it made me feel a lot, it terms of trauma movies since this is similar to 20th century girl im gonna place this righttt under that cuz i feel like 20th century girl was a bit better... didn't expect to--
Seriously I didn't expect to cry my heart out in this movie. Its endearing, and lightly painful. It shares the grief as it is - it stays painful yet we can see some light out of if, even when time goes by. It shows innocence, and I guess that's the bright side of love. I loved every scene. And I already knew the ending since I've seen some spoilers ahead but it was still worth the watch. I won't rewatch because I don't want to cry my soul out twice, because it touches deep in your feelings. A lot. But I totally recommend it.Was this review helpful to you?
It makes me sobbing so bad
I was in denial when I am about to finish the movie, I mean there is 30 mins left… It hurts so bad that I lost words. The way he left her was so cruel.Thumbs up to Choo Young Woo & Shin Si-Ah for the utmost acting! I feel the love, happiness, frustration, sincerity in knowing and loving each other.
The love is so so pure that I am sobbing so bad ;( Also Ji-Min’s effort in erasing the memories one by one was so heartbroken.
I am happy that Choo Young Woo is getting more well-known. Hoping to see him in another movie or drama.

is it truly that’s good or can it be better
story : the story is nice and well written everything is clear but compared to the Japanese one which is basically a remake it still lacking something I truly can’t put my finger on what this drama is missing to be perfect it was short and nice I would say that the drama needs more emotion through I personally believe that the actors and actresses could have put a bit more efforts for the emotional scenes it seemed rather bland to me when I was watching it I didn’t feel emotional captivated I felt sad but it went by really quickly like is death they should have shown more I just feel like it had potential but it really didn’t capture the essence of the story.the actors and actress really put a lot into the movie and I can see that but I think we still need more they were used to they’re full potential some emotional scenes felt bland to me which makes the story seem rather ordinary

Uma História Linda, Mas Dolorosa
Não é o tipo de história que eu curto muito. Eu tento evitar melodramas, porque sei que vou sofrer. A história é linda, sem dúvidas, mas o final realmente não é para mim. Dá uma sensação de tristeza, de perda.Esses melodramas românticos são os que mais me fazem sofrer, principalmente quando os personagens têm uma química tão bonita. Eu só assisti porque não sabia qual era o gênero do drama, então fui pego de surpresa. Mesmo assim, conforme a história avançava, eu já conseguia prever qual seria o final, porque já assisti a dramas parecidos. Isso me ajudou a me preparar um pouco emocionalmente, mas, ainda assim, acabei me emocionando.
Não vou dizer para não assistir, porque cada um tem seu próprio gosto. Quem gosta de melodrama romântico pode assistir sem medo: você vai se emocionar e provavelmente chorar um pouco. eu, pelo menos, me emocionei bastante.

Jolie, sincère… mais pas renversant pour autant...
Alors… j’ai terminé "Even If This Love Disappears Tonight" 😅💙, et honnêtement… je suis un peu perplexe...Dès les premières minutes, le film installe une ambiance douce et mélancolique, avec cette histoire d’amour entre deux ados, l’un oublie tout chaque matin, l’autre essaie de le retenir… c’est naïf, mignon, mais en vrai ça serre parfois le cœur. Bon, cette idée, c'est du déjà vue... mais ici on ce concentre plus sur la manière dont ils essaient de se souvenir, de construire des souvenirs qui s’effacent 👍🏻
Choi Young Woo et Shin Shi Ah portent tout le film sur leurs épaules 🥹💖. Leur alchimie se ressent vraiment à l'écran. Les personnages secondaires eux restent vraiment discret tout du long.
Mais… 😔 l’émotion ne m’a pas happée comme je l’espérais... Le film reste un peu trop dans sa zone de confort. Il ne m'a pas trop surpris, je l'ai trouvé parfois répétitif, avec des scènes qui tournent en rond à force d'être sur le même "mécanisme" narratif... Elle oublie, ils recommencent... 😵💫
Ensuite, la sincérité émotionnelle est bien là, mais elle est resté un peu trop en surface pour moi... J'ai trouvé que l’histoire n’explorait pas assez les conséquences humaines de cette amnésie qui devrait être un cauchemar absolu dans la vraie vie 😱. Et sincèrement, ça a limité l'impact que le film à eu sur moi.
Pour terminer, un dernier truc qui m’a aussi dérangée, c’est que certains points que je trouvais intéressant à creuser, comme : "Qu'est ce que ça fait d’aimer quand chaque matin tu dois tout réapprendre ?!?" n’ont pas été poussés assez loin... 😭
Bref… c'est un film honnête, joli, avec des acteurs au top… mais qui est resté un peu trop sage émotionnellement pour réellement me marquer 🫶🏻✌🏻

au vu des posts sur les réseaux j'ai attendu d'être dans de bonnes vibes pour voir ce film car il fallait, a priori, préparer la boîte de mouchoirs.. et bien la boîte est toujours pleine ! aucun mouchoir n'en est sorti !l'histoire partait bien mais très vite on sait la fin .. IL va mourir ELLE retrouvera ses souvenirs .. aucune surprise .. lenteur assurée .. heureusement que CHOO Young-woo était là pour réhausser un peu le film parce que c'était vraiment pas ouf !
Jolie musique .. interprétation impeccable mais ça ne suffit pas pour sauver le film

L’idée est bonne, MAIS…
Très honnêtement, j’ai beaucoup aimé l’idée, mais selon moi ça manquait de profondeur. Il y a énormément de sujets à aborder dans ce film, des sujets qu’ils ont effleurés mais pas assez développés, comme si en parler une seule fois suffisait.On n’en sait finalement pas grand-chose sur ce fameux accident qui lui cause ce trouble. On n’en sait pas non plus beaucoup sur les problèmes cardiaques du ML, ni sur la relation qu’il avait avec sa mère, ou encore sur la relation entre la FL et sa famille.
Je trouve qu’il y avait largement de quoi remplir ce film de 2 heures en abordant ces sujets-là, plutôt que de rester dans cette répétition constante.
J’ai malgré tout passé un bon moment devant ce film, qui m’a d’ailleurs arraché quelques larmes, mais ce n’est malheureusement pas suffisant pour augmenter ma note.
Je recommande ce film s’il est dans votre liste — ou même s’il n’y est pas d’ailleurs —, mais attendez-vous à rester perplexe face à cette histoire.
