a sad masterpiece
This was a very good kdrama. Although I thought it would be a ktrauma, it didn’t really make me sob. This is a kind of a romance movie that would make you a good kind of sad, definitely worth one’s time. There is something beautiful and heartbreaking about a love story where one forgets all the memories every morning when they wake up. The way it started as an unusual friendship which then blossomed into a love story was so awesome.
I loved how it handled the memory lost aspect, with Jae-Won re-introducing himself each day, that carried genuine weight, the way he found ways to make her happy, even though he was struggling himself was so touching.

Definitely Worth a Watch
I went into this knowing absolutely nothing about the plot, which probably influenced how much I enjoyed it, but I honestly thought it was great. I’m not familiar with the original Japanese version, and I’ve noticed that a lot of the ratings seem heavily based on comparisons to that. I think if more people rated this purely as a standalone film, it might have received fairer and higher scores.I’m definitely going to watch the Japanese version now, and I’m sure I’ll probably end up agreeing with many of the reviews that compare the two. That said, on its own, I think this is absolutely worth a watch and one of the better Korean movies I’ve seen in a while — and God knows I’ve seen a lot haha. I’ve also worked with film sound design and music, and the soundtrack here is veryyyyy well done!

a must watch if you want to cry.
to be honest, in the first part i really thought the fl was gonna die in the end (cuz i knew someone would die obvi). However things turned out that the ml had heart problems and he died and it broke me so baddddd bc i really love that actor from head over heels. He sacrificed his own health when he chased the bus, he knew he shouldn't get tired but he still did and he did everything to make her every day happy 😭 and him dying after the fireworks scene was so bad i literally couldnt stop myself from cryinggggggg.. from that moment -> to the end and after the end i cried so yeah if you just want to cry watch this, other than that its nothing special. it has really good cinematography btw.Was this review helpful to you?
Innocent & Heartwarming Drama
This is a very unique and interesting story. Young Woo is the perfect person for this part. He's had great past performances, and once again, he doesn't disappoint! He and Shi Ah create a perfect blend together with their characters. Along with Ho Eun, a small but equally fitting supporting cast is an all around good fit for a solid story.Without giving anything away, I can say, don't be fooled on how smoothly things are going after the first hour. You kind of expect something to change, because it seemed like one big happy ending on the horizon. I wasn't expecting what eventually turns the entire story upside down and inside out. The circumstances that occur in the last thirty minutes almost made me change my mind on how good this movie was. I was sort of disappointed, not to mention shock by the outcome ... but somehow, the script does the storyline justice, not only making an excellent final few minutes, but probably giving us one of the saddest endings you'll see in a drama this year.
Sang Hyeon says a line toward the end that really hits home with this movie, "As time goes by, everyone's memories start to fade ... but what remains in your heart, that never changes"
Great and enjoyable. Keep the tissues handy!!!

Beautiful, bittersweet, and strangely comforting
I really liked the way the main leads’ friendship/love story started — it was quite funny and sweet :) They quickly grew from strangers into two people who, despite barely knowing anything about each other, genuinely enjoyed each other’s company and it all felt very natural! That said, I especially loved the pace of their bond and how it developed. You’d think the amnesia aspect would slow things down, but it doesn’t. Both leads make it work perfectly. From the very beginning, you can tell they share an instant, natural connection, and I could really sense how much it all meant to them both, but especially to the male lead (such a green flag character, by the way).I also found many of the filming locations and background shots very beautiful, especially the sunset scene. :)
The ending was to be expected, I actually like how they handled it. The last scene and, specifically, the last words said in the scene left me with a bittersweet smile. :)
Overall, it’s a movie that tells a sad story in a beautiful way. The moments the characters share feel precious, comforting, even. It leaves you with an ache, but not complete devastation.

Wish this was a series instead
I liked this! Ofc because it is a movie, a lot scenes wont show. I think it would have done well if it was a series. I like their chemistry and the friendship and so glad there were no silly acting.I still think Choo Young-woo should not be casted in high school roles LOL he looks to mature for the part in my opinion.
Anyways, this made me tear up a lot...reminded a little of 20th century girl.

Heart's remember
Touching and delicate. A girl suffering from a memory disorder and a boy who will briefly enter her life, teach her to remember with her heart instead of her mind.I smiled and cried like never before, all accompanied by a beautiful soundtrack.
Being a Korean film and not a series, I wasn't expecting much, but even though it's a sad story, it's worth watching.

pretty but ordinary
this was one of the korean movies I was excited to watch. but midway through, I actually thought, “wow, this is boring.” I really like the leads but the story is kinda unrealistic and the characters not very interesting. everything was pretty to watch but it didn’t really touch me at all. I really like Shin Shi Ah, but I feel like they didnt give her any back story, no interactions with her family or her best friend. And for the male lead, we barely know anything about him. I dont think it’s possible for someone to have this problem and go to school like normal. Was this review helpful to you?

Beautiful but heartbreaking
If you dont want to cry and feel heartbroken dont watch this. I had no idea what i was watching i just clicked on it because the poster looked cute and im not currently watching a show. I thought this was a drama and then after an hour when i checked the length left i realized it was a movie 😂 anyway i was like ok this is the sweetest movie and i was smiling on almost every scene it was so cute so here i was thinking i had found a cozy movie to rewatch in the future and then.....yea you know what happened if youve already watched it... i was NOT expecting that. When i saw the keychains switched from her bfs backpack to her bestfriends backpack i was like OH NO they broke up or he had to go study abroad or something and they had to pretend he never existed...so i was thinking at the end she would get her memories back and go find him or something...yea no 😭😭😭 i knew he had a heart problem because of that one running scene but this was such an unexpected ending 😭😭 its my own fault for not reading the synopsis, if it does warn you ahead of time...anyway this ruined my night. I still rated it highly because well...this is real life and these things do happen. Not every story is a fairytale. So it was a beautiful story regardless of my swollen eyes. But honestly i did feel like it was just too abrupt,i felt like something was missing but i dont know what it was. The actors were perfect and the whole story except the end was very lovely. Would never watch again unless i really WANTED to cry.Was this review helpful to you?

A Love That Must Be Rewritten Every Morning
There are love stories that make you smile. There are love stories that make you cry.
And then there are love stories that leave you emotionally exhausted, staring at the screen long after the credits roll, wondering how something so gentle could hurt so deeply.
Kmovie "If This Love Disappears from Tonight" belongs to the last category.
Rather than exaggerating tragedy, the film trusts its actors and its audience to sit with discomfort and emotional uncertainty.
Choo Young-woo continues to prove his strength in subtle, emotionally grounded roles, while Shin Si-ah delivers a performance that balances innocence with quiet resilience. Their chemistry feels natural, unforced, and deeply sincere.
The film’s strength lies in its simplicity — allowing ordinary moments to carry extraordinary emotional weight. While the pacing may feel slow to some viewers, it ultimately serves the story’s theme: that love is not about urgency, but presence.
This is a film that doesn’t aim to shock — it aims to stay. This film does not scream tragedy.
It whispers it — softly, patiently — until the pain settles quietly in your chest.
