Not my cup of tea...
I don't like the mixture between comedy and drama... either do comedy or do drama but not both of them. The abusive use of the accociated soundeffects did not make it better. While Huey, Dewey and Louie are mostly fun, the hysterical girl was annoying as hell. I guess it's a trademark for BLs to have to include an annoying girl/woman in every production and that is so cliché and should not happen in 2025. But what they did again was lazy writing, because the three boys get lost im the end and did not get involved in anything... even the boy/girl-love stories are left unexplored. So the pacing of the whole series is choppy at best. The actors did a good job, even when I don't feel the main couple. I don't know what it is, both are for sure nice persons and in their way cute/handsome, but together they don't give me a spark.
So all in all a typical BL which did nothing new, played it mostly safe, had of course stereotypical baddies. Also the "ex" was an asshole but everyone forgave him in an instant, not very realistic in my book. For me, not even a medicore show, while some comedy was ok, the storyline was flat and didn't get me emotionally for most of the time. You may watch it and like it, but I did not.

that first NC scene
okay, so I will admit I was on the fence about this. it’s kinda a hard sell to go from guardian/father figure to romance. I questioned if they were going to be able to do it so I actually read the source material and I truly like the book a lothowever all of my friends that I would talk about this with I would say I don’t think this was the best series to adapt into an alive action because the romance really isn’t there not even in the book
however the Author has come out and said that they changed a lot and I am happy to report that they have
I’m actually truly enjoy enjoying this and I love seeing Saint back in a BL at first, I didn’t know if I was going to like him and poom together, but they have really grown on me
here’s the thing my sweetheart Jom isn’t out here to win awards and be the best series ever created. it is a fun romcom that is over the top ridiculous and just to feel good series
that being said, I didn’t think we were going to get any NC scenes… but color me surprised. and Saint, my guy, damn.
anyway, it’s a fun writer not to be taken very serious seriously. and I love it
I hope we get to see more of them as a CP

My Sweetheart Jom – A Countryside BL Masterpiece!
Idol Factory has done it again! My Sweetheart Jom is a slow-burn, heartwarming BL that completely stole my heart over these 12 weeks. What I Loved:
🌿 From city chaos to serene countryside – after the first episode, we spend the entire series surrounded by greenery, buffaloes, and the charm of village life. It’s so refreshing to watch!
🫶 Saint as Jom – total daddy vibes! Caring, calm, and protective of the whole village. Watching him look after everyone felt like a warm hug.
😈 Yo (Poom) – adorable, mischievous, and a total brat in the best way. His chemistry with Jom is magnetic.
🔥 The slow-burn romance – no kisses until episode 10, but the build-up was so worth it. From school moments to village adventures, the tension kept me hooked.
🎶 The OST – fun, vibrant, and perfectly matched the countryside vibe.
💘 The final 3 episodes – PERFECTION. Yo’s confident confession, the dreamy lotus pond kiss, the emotional NC scene after years apart, and that final buffalo moment… my heart exploded.
This show had everything: slice-of-life warmth, village drama, beautiful romance, and stunning attention to detail. Time truly flew by, and Thursdays will feel empty without it.
⭐ 9.5/10 – A beautiful, cozy, and unforgettable BL experience.
If you love slow-burn romance with heart and soul, this is a must-watch! 🌾💖🐃

Didn’t Expect to even like It — But Here I Am, Giving It a 10.
I’m hesitating to give it a 10, but honestly? I don’t see why I shouldn’t.It’s not like KinnPorsche or My Stand-In (my personal 10/10s) — this one isn’t dark or full of dangerous rich people, which is usually my vibe.
I never thought I’d like this show when I saw the trailer. Countryside BLs aren’t my thing — I usually don’t mess fw them at all.
The only reason I even gave this a chance was because of PoomSaint. But along the way, I realized... even if I dropped all the other ongoing Thai BLs, I was still watching this every single Friday. No matter what.
It had a way of keeping me on edge at the end of every episode.
Sure, some parts felt incomplete — like KaewEarn’s arc, or the fact that we never saw Yo and Jom’s parents meet. I kinda felt like those scenes should’ve been included.
But weirdly, I don’t even see that as a drawback — maybe it leaves room for a special episode or spin-off?
Some story beats moved fast too — like Jom’s father’s sudden redemption, or even P’Thee’s switch-up.
But the thing is — unlike so many other Thai BLs where I’m obsessed after the trailer and first few eps and then halfway through I’m like:
“Bro... how many eps are left? When is this ending??”
This one was the total opposite. I didn’t expect anything at the start.
The first few eps weren’t exactly mind-blowing, but I still wanted to keep watching. And when I hit episode 12 I was like,
“Wait—this is ending?? Already??”
I’m satisfied.
And the best part?
No spamming the story with random NC scenes.
It gave what it needed to give.

Thai romcom with some heaviness
Overall: I support Saint and all the actors but the the comedy didn't mesh well with some heavy plot points. Based on the book "Wanjai Phuyai Jom" by Naoto which I haven't read. 12 episodes about an hour each. Aired on Idol Factory's YouTube channel https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PL4D0KlUVq4IyHCM1l3v94GC0SJ3EUG8fl&si=EmHX_4KfrB2NSdKrContent Warnings: fight, non con kissing, intimate partner abuse, pretended to commit suicide, attempted murder, beaten up, violence, blood, manipulation, bullying, coercion, sexual harassment, past child abuse, cyber bullying, kidnapping, beaten up, dub/non con kiss, manhandling
What I Liked
- chuckled a couple times
- happy to see Saint on screen again
- good they called out that teacher/student relationship and the teacher had consequences though I wish he had had other consequences
- the grandma
- his brother, though he should respect boundaries
- the end of the finale
Room For Improvement
- jumps from serious moments to ridiculous moments (like that inflatable mall thing in episode 3)
- they brushed the intimate partner abuse under the rug, in the real world she'd likely be dead in a couple of years
- nonsense writing: why couldn't he have gone to another school or studied at home?, the parents weren't concerned about what almost happened to him?, if it's that dangerous then they should have had him go out of the country
- though I didn't have an issue with the age gap per se (Yo was 19 and Jom was 28-31), it was not appealing to see Yo in high school wearing the high school uniform and Jom acted like a parent with a rebellious kid many times
- the villains were cartoonish and practically twirled their mustaches
- zero interest in the high school bullying stuff and redemption arc
- love rival and his redemption arc
- noble idiot trope/refused to communicate cliche
- most humor didn't work for me

Good slow burn love story
I love me some good slow burn and this is exactly what it was. Yothin pursuing an older man who is resisting back because of a past betrayal. Everything about this series made sense and was well written.Acting was good, could have been better there were some parts that felt a little forced, but over all we can easily forget those moment.
Chemistry wise it was there, it was good and I liked it. There isn't a lot of NC scenes and personally don't mind it i am just glad that Saint is back. The last episode NC scene was great and balcony kisses were amazing.
All in all it loved this series and I am sure that I will rewatch it some time in the future.

Slow burn but Satisfying
My Sweetheart Jom is such a banger romcom BL set in the charming countryside of Thailand. It’s that classic “city guy meets province guy” kind of story—and I was totally into it. The comedy, charm, and little adventures throughout the series made it so enjoyable. Saint and Poom’s chemistry isn’t instantly electric for me but it grows in a really natural way.Saint plays a very different role here compared to his past series. He used to give off a softer vibe, but this time he’s more masculine—and honestly, he nailed it. Poom was great too! I first saw him in The Sign, so it’s nice to see him take on a lead role and do it so well.
Jom’s character is very mature—he’s the village chief. He’s responsible for everyone’s well-being in the community. On the other hand, Yo is your typical Gen Z guy. He’s not really a spoiled brat, but he often talks back to his parents and somehow always ends up in sticky situations. That said, his character development is chef’s kiss. Or maybe, he was already solid from the start. He’s selfless, solution-oriented, and grows a lot throughout the series—thanks to his experiences and his parents’ advice. I also love how straightforward he is about his feelings for Jom—he knows what he wants and isn’t afraid to go for it.
Jom, meanwhile, feels like a father figure to all the boys in the house, especially Yo. He’s got that natural protector vibe, but at the same time, he can be a bit tactless and lowkey naughty—just enough to keep things interesting.
I genuinely loved every character's journey. There are plenty of events and subplots that keep the show exciting. It always leaves you wanting more with each episode. Jom and Yo’s relationship is a slow burn—but in the best way possible. They start as housemates just trying to get along, and their bond naturally deepens over time. The romance isn't rushed, and the payoff is so worth it. My only complaint? Yo’s love confession kept getting delayed! Like, every time he tried, something would interrupt, lol!
Everything about My Sweetheart Jom worked for me—the cast, the visuals, the OST (which perfectly sets the mood), and the cinematography? Absolute chef’s kiss. My only wish now is for Saint and Poom to reunite soon in another series—with a solid plot to match their talents.

SO SWEET INDEED!!!!!!
My objective rating for this would probably be around an 8.. and that's still not quite objective, lol sorry about that!I'm just going to outline what worked and what they could have improved upon before I go into my emotional rant on why this was so amazing, so that's some good news!
What worked:
1. Saint and Poom - the highest point in the series truly, was Saint and Poom. Whether it was the way they played Jom and Yo, or the chemistry between them, or just how charismatic they were on screen, it all just clicked. Their chemistry was adorable yet sizzling, their awkward trajectory somehow turning into a love story without them or us realizing it was just so cute to witness. And even individually, they were the strongest characters in the series, what being the leads and all, but sometimes side characters steal the show and I'm glad that wasn't the case here. Everything about Saint and Poom just worked, it was like magic to me.
2. The love story! - of course it did, I just raved about it. But I do love an enemies to lovers romance, and I wouldn't say this was a full fledged one, but watching the two of them going from butting heads to falling in love with each other without realizing it? So good. The best part is that even the audience might be just as confused as they were, but like them, we realize that the signs were there all along if we just think back to them. It was always in their eyes like was said in the finale, and their love story truly gave me the butterflies and made me so happy.
Jom and Yo were kind of perfect for each other, even through all the trouble and the drama, they (mostly) stood by each other, protected each other, literally ran into fires for each other.. how did neither I nor them see it sooner? Their love story will make you SWOON
3. The story - honestly, a solid plot! With the exception of one storyline, every other had its purpose for being a part of the series. I like how they connected all the storylines, starting with Yo coming to Pho Chai, and right down to a seemingly insignificant tussle for a contract, all of them had something to do with either Jom or Yo. All of them connected and converged quite well, and I always appreciate solid writing.
4. Good side characters - there were tons of side characters with both big and small parts to play that I loved. Their presence on screen not only added to the depth of the story by showcasing more of Jom and Yo's personalities and strengths, but also contributed to making the series more complex and interesting by virtue of being complex and interesting characters. Grandma Chan, Por, Kaew, Leung Yod - they added something positive to the series even if they weren't all protagonists.
5. Music!! - I loved the music. Oftentimes music makes the series extra wonderful, and no doubt about that here. Go listen to the OST, so whimsical and fun, just like the series.
What didn't work:
1. Filler - so many filler scenes, which were probably cut in the cut version, but still felt completely unnecessary. They sometimes did set up Jom or Yo to feature more, but I would have appreciated less.
2. Bad side characters - Earn? Tee? They added nothing to the plot. Except drama but eh. It's like they wanted to introduce these characters to create drama between Jom and Yo because they were getting desperate to add some sort of conflict but it didn't work.
3. The romance!! - I wanted more lol. Just that.
I just love this series - it made me incredibly happy, even when it was boring or kind of weird and sometimes you love what you love despite the glaring flaws and I say - YES! You love it!
And I love this!
My emotional mess rambling and rating aside, if you want something that's quirky and fun with a sweet romance, give this a try. I hope you like it :)

I Came Here For Saint LOL
It’s not gonna win any major drama awards but if you would like an easy watch BL with lots of cute scenes and nothing too deep with a bit of silliness thrown in and love in the countryside, then take your time watching this.I’m not gonna lie there are a few cringe worthy moments but once you get past that it does have a wholesome heartfelt story lol.

it had potential
This series was so promising, but it was so poorly written.Every female character was atrocious. I’m sorry, but even granny was annoying in the beginning. The GL side couple (I assume that’s what they were going for with them) were terrible, and the acting was just…I have no words. For the last few episodes I fast forwarded through any scenes with them, they were unwatchable (especially the younger girl - I nearly quit the show because of her).
The constant attacks on the village were more annoying than shocking. It was predictable and poorly executed. The whole mafia/land drama was so badly written. I cannot be plainer than that.
I do think the only thing they got right was Yo’s character progression and growth. The writers and (of course) really did do well with Yo; which makes it sad that it was so wasted. Jom and Yo jumping into a relationship so quickly without almost any growth or change on Jom’s side felt weak and empty. When they got together everything was so empty and fast; they have chemistry but it just felt like it hadn’t evolved enough on Jom’s side, so his feelings for Yo seemed hollow to me as a viewer. The final episode felt so convoluted and forced on Jom’s side, because we saw absolutely no progression or growth from him in terms of his relationship with Yo and it was just such a waste. Jom’s reaction to being broken up with was so odd; he’d barely acted like he even liked Yo, even when they were dating. Again, this is the poor writing - we didn’t get to see Jom fall in love, we only saw Yo.
I’m so sad, because both Saint and Poom are great and they have chemistry and I think they did their best with the writing, but this was a miss. I do, however, hope that we get to see this pairing again in the future!

I watch it for Saint
I was very happy to see Saint back acting but I have to say I was slightly disappointed. I didn't feel strong chemistry between the two main actors. And I feel like I know what saints capable of and this just seems beneath him. I feel a lot of it was thrown together more than having thought about the series story line. The story itself could probably been better for other actors especially new actors. But I watched it for Saint because I'm a huge fan of him I love him I will always support him but this one really disappointed me.Was this review helpful to you?

So, this one has ended now... and I'm not really sure what I feel about this...
What I mean is, I normally when watching a series, I put myself into it, like I am with them, soi I tend to think WAY more than I should most of the time, sometimes when I shouldn't even, and this is one of those times where I thought way to much when watching this.So with that being said, for me to rate this, I need to put all that behind me and think of it as a fun lighthearted Romantic Comedy deal and rate it base on that thinking. Other wise my rating would be like a 2, 2½ so... Lets get started...
There were still some serious moments and things that I still can't really hide away...
Yo's parents, I'm sorry but to pretty much blame your own son for being a trouble maker when all he did was like someone, not letting him tell you his side of it at all, his father was a real piece of crap, believing someone else over your own son is just messed up, all because of Yo helped his friends out in the past and got kicked out of school for it. I really doubt his parents even know the truth about that, or even cared enough to ask Yo about it.
Everyone think Yo is a bad kid and Jom treating him like a kid. He did that way to long. This really is not a serious moments, but it drove me nuts!
Now on to the other... If you think about it there were some things in this series that didn't really need to be there, first one the annoying little shit Earn, I get why they had her, but did they have to make her SO DAMN ANNOYING! I know spoil brats can be annoying but my god we did not need her to be like that at all, they should have rethought the way they made her.
Theethat was useless to come back, I didn't see the point in putting that into the plot, it's so played out... It's so stupid how he thought he had a chance... Talk about a stupid moron.
The 3 boys, they kind of was there for the fun of having them, but if you are going to have them then keep them, it was pointless to have them there but than again not have them there, then they were just gone till the end... It was just weird.
The bad guys in this was just ridiculous I swear. especially Yingyos, he was so damn stupid, though he thought he was so smart. HA!
I gotta say Aon did a great job, I think bad guy rolls fit him really well. Saint I think did good for the roll he got in this as with Poom, though I didn't really feel the Chemistry all that great with them, it was kind of there but not really, it was like... Hmm I see a little something, not like Oh Wow you can see it a mile away.
The best one out them all was Granny, I just loved her throughout the whole series she made it worth the watch alone. 😂 ok I will shut up now... I know I am missing things I wanted to put, but oh well this is good enough...
What it comes down to is, don't watch this with the thought of something that is going to be a serious series because it's not, yes there are some things that are, but with this you need to think less when watching something I didn't do.
