What made it special for me was how it balanced the emotional tension with genuine tenderness. The gestures, the quiet moments, and even the awkwardness between the characters made everything feel so real. By the end, seeing them reach true love felt satisfying and comforting, like the story really rewarded all the messy emotions along the way.
Honestly, it’s not just a love story, it’s a show that makes you feel all the highs and lows, and in the end, leaves you with a warm, healing feeling.

can kbls be good again pls
im writing this review late in both the sense that this show finished airing a while ago so im late to the party, and also in the sense thats its 4am and i have an organic chemistry exam tomorrow morning. sorry if this review makes no sense!! im going to keep it pretty short: this show bored the crap out of me. sorry, i know like everyone loves this show, but god it just put me to sleep. first of all, the plot confused me. i watch thai bls while doing homework all the time, only half reading subtitles, and i still understand them. so for me to not understand the plot or even the point of this story with my full attention is.. something! i only really wanted to watch this show because yoon jisung from wanna one plays iljo. my wanna one days were short and long ago, but trust and believe when i saw the casting of jisung i was like oh hell yeah i HAVE to watch this!! and i will give credit where credit is due, the actors deliver. both jisung and the other guy do a very good job at playing their characters. the only issue is, i absolutely hate both of them. now i understand this show is meant to be a "toxic love story", which is a plot i can 100000% get behind. my favorite jbl and one of my favorite bls ever is my personal weatherman so trust me, i fuck with toxic yaoi, but only when its done RIGHT. literally both of the main leads were insufferable. jisung's character was a cry baby whiny little bitch boy i genuinely would have wanted to punch in the guts if he weren't played by jisung, and the other main character is a standoffish asshole who genuinely infuriated me everytime he opened his mouth. the dialogue and the writing was weak, as well as the character developement. you may be asking, are there ANY positives to this show? yes. jisung from wanna one being a yaoi bottom. thats about it. IM KIDDING IM KIDDING!!! okay but actually, i was very impressed by the intimate scenes in this show. kbls are usually VERYYYY bad at them. they either leave them out alltogether, or when they're done they are done so poorly that it almost feels homophobic. recently, however, korea has done a lot better handling them. im not one to critique scenes like that usually since they honestly are NOT why im here, and i dont really enjoy them anyways. but i do appreciate that korea is putting a little more effort into making their bls seem less like they put two straight guys in a room and told them to have sex. progress, people, progress!! oh, i almost forgot, THE COUSINS THING. so from what i gathered from the plot, the top thought that jisung's character was his cousin. the. whole. time. or at least until the very end.. MY MAN YOU WERE FUCKING THIS MAN AND YOU THOUGHT HE WAS YOUR COUSIN??? BLOOD RELATED COUSIN??? WHAT THE FUCK????????? ive always hated like the "brothers but not by blood", or "raised like cousins but not blood related" trope in bl because like, lets be real, you were always RAISED like siblings or family members so its still weird. but here, oh its just so much worse becaue one of the dudes actually thought the other WAS his family. so weird, so gross, so alabama, not a fan. in conclusion, this show is a boring and melodramatic kbl thats biggest strength is its sex scenes. sounds crude, but it is what it is. watch this show if you wanna see jisung from wanna one be a freak i guess, but if thats not your thing (since it wasn't really mine), then i'd say skip this one for now. much better recent kbls are out there, so go for ball boy tactics or secret relationships if you really want a good kbl from the last year.Was this review helpful to you?

Horrible writting
What a waste of two obviously good actors with good chemistry.The writting is so bad I have to drop it. The characters don't make any sense. Theirs lines are so bad it's cringe. It's unfortunate because they seemed to have quite a good budget for a K-BL, they hired good actors and intimacy coordinator. But the scenario is so weak it looks like it was written by a 14 y o on wattpad.

This is worth more than a 10
As for a KBL this is the top one , for 1 korean BL's always have a great story line with no silliness like the thai ones but they always lacked in the kissing and intimacy but this one was spot on and gave me butterflies with really kissing not pretend , great acting from everyone , i binge watched this in one day and never picked up my phone once like i normally do on the boring bits as this didnt have any....well done would love to see the 2ML together again as chemistry was top..Was this review helpful to you?
Not My Type
The series was not my type, and I dropped it—no story and no chemistry for me between leads. I think the main problem is the leads are not suitable for each other in my idea- Bottom is too weak and I dont know who writes these series but why is bottom like he is a clueless moron who is incapable of anything?In comparison to other strong shows, this was not something that interested me enough to continue.

Thundercloud Rainstorm a commencé comme une tempête furieuse avant de perdre progressivement de son intensité pour se transformer en une légère bruine, me laissant sur une note mitigée.Lee Il Jo (Yoon Ji Sung), papillon blessé, et victime d'un demi-frère cruel, rencontre Seo Jeong Han (Jeong Ri U), un oiseau prisonnier d'une dynamique familiale complexe. Rien ne les destinait à se comprendre. Pourtant, l'un tombe rapidement amoureux, et l'autre donne tout lorsqu'il le devient. Leur relation oscille entre passion et toxicité. Et lorsque la réalité les frappe, l'un fuit, laissant l'autre démuni.
L'intrigue se distille entre la romance, les secrets de famille de Il Jo, et la quête d'émancipation de Jeong Han. Si l'histoire reste divertissante, elle peine à trouver une direction claire. En particulier lors des derniers épisodes qui perdent leur intensité initiale. Cependant, les scènes intimes sont d'une grande qualité. Intenses. Chargées d'émotion. Brillamment portées par les deux acteurs.
Toutefois, mon ressenti reste mitigé. Un second visionnage dans quelques semaines me permettra peut-être de mieux cerner ce KBL. Peut-être suis-je trop aveuglée par la performance de Yoon Ji Sung que j'ai trouvé surprenante et brillante. En revanche, rien d’étonnant de la part de Jeong Ri U qui livre une bonne performance (bien que j’aspire à le voir dans la peau d’un autre style de personnage).
En bref, Thundercloud Rainstorm est comme une météo capricieuse et imprévisible, naviguant entre l'orage, la pluie, et quelques éclairs. Imparfait, mais indéniablement accrocheur et intéressant.

Grande potenziale e originalità che si concretizza anche... ma solo nella prima metà.
BL coreana – tipici otto episodi da mezz’ora l’uno – che mi è sembrata il perfetto punto di convergenza tra il drama coreano “Cherry blossom after winter” e la serie giapponese “My personal weatherman”, due BL che ho adorato ma che non erano esenti da difetti. L’impressione è quella di aver preso il meglio da entrambe e limato alcuni spigoli che non funzionavano.Rispetto al sopracitato “Cherry blossom after winter” ho ritrovato la comunicazione tipica coreana – non dispersiva e banale come quella tailandese ma nemmeno stringata come nelle opere giapponesi – oltre al fatto che la caratterizzazione dei due protagonisti ricordava un po’ quella dell’altro pairing (in particolar modo ho trovato grande somiglianza tra Il Jo ed Hae Bom, educati e remissivi, apparentemente indifesi). Altro aspetto comune è la parentela non consanguinea, da una parte due fratellastri e dall’altra due cugini, ma in entrambi i casi con un’adozione di mezzo.
La somiglianza col giapponese “My personal weatherman” riguarda soprattutto le scene intime, dove siamo ben oltre i classici baci stampo e amori platonici delle BL coreane, sebbene ancora lontani dalla chimica di Yoh e Mizuki, protagonisti di svariate scene NC18 intriganti ma mai volgari. Anche la pioggia caratterizza entrambi i lavori, riproponendosi quale elemento ricorrente.
Elemento comune è anche la singolare convivenza, con uno a servizio dell’altro quale pagamento di un debito (nel caso di Yoh il solo vitto e alloggio, per Il Jo anche le spese sanitarie). Inoltre, entrambe le coppie presentano una figura dominante, apparentemente insensibile e distaccata, interessata solo al lato prettamente fisico dell’ambigua relazione, e una controparte più remissiva e debole, un po’ in balìa degli eventi.
Come dicevo, “Thundercloud rainstorm” ha il pregio di saper unire i pregi di entrambe, trovando il dosaggio perfetto degli ingredienti: i primi tre episodi sono davvero a dir poco stupendi, catturano fin da subito e si dimostrano belli carichi e coinvolgenti. Questo fintanto che abbiamo Il Jo praticamente alla mercè di Jeong Han e l’altro trincerato dietro un distacco che da reale si fa però via via sempre più apparente. Nella parte centrale la dinamica cambia, Il Jo prende le distanze e Jeong Han si riscopre improvvisamente innamorato, per cui il meccanismo gatto-topo vede un’inversione di ruoli che ci sta, ma solo fino a un certo punto. Gli ultimi episodi perdono ulteriormente quota, eccessivamente incentrati sulla componente melodrammatica. Se all’inizio la vera caratterizzazione dei personaggi non era totalmente – e volutamente – chiara, alla fine la questione viene talmente sviscerata da risultare paradossalmente comunque confusa: mille ragioni, mille paure, mille scelte, mille fraintendimenti, altrettanti ripensamenti. Il senso dell'intera storia viene un po' a mancare, nella sostanza.
Mi sta bene che rispetto alla fotografia iniziale si voglia arrivare a uno sviluppo delle due figure che risulti infine non banale o piatto, per cui Il Jo mostrerà in realtà una ferrea determinazione, una consapevolezza e maturità maggiore rispetto a Jeong Han che, al contrario, diventerà preda di un lato emotivo soppresso per anni. In tal senso ho trovato azzeccati i due flashback del passato: veloci ma illuminanti, mostrano i due cugini adolescenti con una caratterizzazione che sembra stonare rispetto al presente, ma che fa capire quanto le loro personalità siano in realtà molto più complesse e di come il contesto abbia agito su di loro. Gli scorci del passato compensano la quasi totale mancanza di informazioni sullo storico: all'avvio del primo episodio si inquadra la situazione generale, ma non è ben chiaro il tipo di rapporto tra i cugini, se si fossero frequentati negli anni precedenti oppure se fossero quasi completamente estranei.
Un aspetto poco gradito - e qui stavolta il paragone lo farei con la BL Revenged Love – riguarda la scelta di eliminare quasi completamente le scene più intime al subentrare dei sentimenti e delle dichiarazioni (cosa che trovo ridicola, come se un aspetto precludesse l’altro).
Il finale è decisamente poco pretenzioso, trova conclusione praticamente in un momento casuale già che lo svisceramento di tutto il non detto e del travisato non fa che rimescolare continuamente le carte in tavola in modo disordinato, finchè stop, si decide che il mazzo può essere finalmente rassettato e messo via.
Cast ridotto ai minimi storici (conta meno di una decina di attori, così come anche nelle altre due serie citate) e recitazione buona: i protagonisti non sono giovani esordienti e non hanno alle spalle prove degne di nota. Non escludo che questo possa essere per loro il drama di maggior successo, ma in ogni caso non mi spiacerebbe ritrovarli in qualche serie futura, già che hanno dimostrato un buon livello di competenza.
Menzione positiva per la OST, personalmente non da playlist ma comunque estremamente valida e azzeccata.
A conti fatti, un drama dal potenziale veramente enorme, ben visibile anche nel concreto nella prima parte. Poi però ci si è proprio smarriti, troppi sviluppi e ragioni taciute che ribaltano di continuo la prospettiva, aspetto tutt’altro che piacevole e che nell’ultima parte da proprio l’impressione di girare attorno al nulla.
E’ un vero peccato: per una volta gli ingredienti erano stati abbinati in modo nuovo e dosati in quantità bilanciate, ma poi nei passaggi successivi della ricetta qualcosa è andato storto, e il risultato finale è apprezzabile solo in parte. Prima parte da nove abbondante, ultimi episodi poco più che sufficienti: complessivamente consigliato, sia per il tentativo fatto che per la parte di obiettivi raggiunti.

EU ESTOU CANSADA DE PROMESSAS VAZIAS E DECLÍNIO DA METADE PARA O FINAL
Eu juro que não aguento mais assistir projetos que prometem mostrar um protagonista tóxico e possessivo mas isso durar apenas alguns poucos episódios e logo depois ele virar apenas mais um protagonista muito apaixonado e carinhoso. Eu fico incrédula em como não sabem construir e manter a personalidade de um personagem.E eu também não aguento mais me deparar com começos impecáveis que se perdem do meio para o final.
Talvez eu esteja sendo dura demais com essa série, mas é que eu estou realmente cansada de tudo isso e cheguei no meu limite.
PONTOS POSITIVOS (o que eu gostei):
- Seo Jeong Han (no começo) tem uma personalidade forte e bruta e é essa personalidade que faz dele um personagem cativante. Ele é complicado, apaixonado e ciumento. É a combinação perfeita
- A dinâmica de primos se tornarem um casal é bem interessante (e completamente normal aqui no Brasil)
- Gostei das cenas em que o Seo Jeong Han bebia e se soltava de suas próprias amarras
- A dinâmica de relacionamento do Seo Jeong Han e Lee Il Jo foi muito forte no começo
- Os primeiros 4 episódios foram impecáveis, eu realmente não tenho do que reclamar
- A trilha sonora é muito boa
- A química inicial entre os protagonistas foi avassaladora
PONTOS NEGATIVOS (o que eu não gostei):
- A partir da segunda metade da série todo o tom muda e infelizmente é só ladeira abaixo
- Toda a personalidade do Lee Il Jo se torna irritante nessa segunda parte porque ele se torna covarde, insensível e egoísta. Em contraponto temos o Seo Jeong Han que se torna patético implorando por amor
- Jang Su Hyo é um bom amigo, mas ao mesmo tempo ele é bem irritante em todo o resto com sua paixão pelo Lee Il Jo e ódio pelo Seo Jeong Han
- Eu entendo todo o recurso narrativo utilizado para o afastamento do Lee Il Jo, mas a construção foi terrível. Mesmo entendendo os motivos eu não deixo de ver ele como alguém extremamente covarde que prioriza apenas a si mesmo e usa o Seo Jeong Han como desculpa para seus próprios erros e limitações. Seo Jeong Han passou vários episódios passando por um inferno na terra, ele sofreu muito e o Lee Il Jo sabia disso, mas ainda sim escolheu ser frio e mentir para ele. Isso ter durado praticamente os 4 episódios finais inteiros foi a gota d'água
- No mesmo contexto no tópico acima temos outra coisa que me irritou profundamente que foi a opinião do Jang Su Hyo ser mais importante para o Lee Il Jo do que a daquele que ele diz amar. Ele só ter escolhido voltar depois que o amigo disse para ele fazer isso foi tão patético que soou detestável para mim
- Seo Jeong Han o perdoou (mesmo que o Lee Il Jo nunca tenha pedido desculpas) e voltou a lamber o chão que ele pisa de forma tão imediata que foi como se nada tivesse acontecido. Eu realmente não gostei disso
- Por que ele se afastou de novo por mais de 1 mês no final??? Esse garoto não consegue lidar com nada sem se afastar. Ele é um namorado terrível
O começo foi tão bom, até o 4° episódio isso era um 10 para mim e ver isso mudando e decaindo a cada episodio foi realmente triste. Eu estou realmente cansada de toda série seguir a mesma fórmula.

Bien está lo que bien termina
La historia de estos dos personajes que se enamoran y pasan por tantas dificultades fue personalmente difícil de seguir viendo.Los personajes y actitudes tóxicas en la serie me fueron difíciles de ver, y el desagrado que sientes por ellos, es muy realista. Si ese era el objetivo del guionista, lo consiguió bien.
Pero lo que realmente consiguieron bien al hacer está serie es, a pesar de todos los inconvenientes, alcanzar un desenlace completo y en el que puedes entender y empatizar con los sentimientos y pensamientos de los protagonistas.
Personalmente no me volvería a ver la serie, pero el capítulo final sí lo he visto un par de veces. Los aprendizajes que se transmiten en ese episodio es justo del tipo que yo busco al ver una serie. Esos aprendizajes que te llegan al corazoncito y te hacen reflexionar sobre el mundo que te rodea.
Me encanta la evolución final de los personajes, y como son capaces de ver en retrospectiva todo por lo que han tenido que pasar. En concreto, cuando el "amigo" de Il-jo (no recuerdo su nombre) hace que Il-jo se de cuenta de que era lo que realmente quería y por qué cosas debía luchar en su vida, me pareció una de las escenas más puras de toda la serie (y sinceramente, menos mal que estaba él).
Hasta el último capítulo no me gustó la pareja principal. Pero después de ver el final, no me disgusta para nada como transcurrieron los acontecimientos.
En conclusión, si te empiezas está serie y no quieres quedarte con un mal sabor de boca, aguanta hasta el final, porque es lo que merece la pena.
