Reloved, but only halfway

It was such a frustrating watch. The main couple was honestly boring, and their breakup made no sense at all—I kept waiting for something interesting to happen, but it never did. Their endless “misunderstanding” talks were exhausting, and I couldn’t care less about their scenes. The second couple, on the other hand, was the only part that kept me invested—they felt real, had chemistry, and could actually act. Killing them off was such a waste, and the replacement characters added nothing meaningful. Even the kids, who were fun, couldn’t save the show. Overall, the drama could have been so much better if it had focused on the second couple, because everything else just dragged and annoyed me.

I have so many issues

Okayy sooo.... first the good things which there were two:

- The children and the actors playing them 10/10, would watch them in any other dram BL or non-BL any day.
- The second couple, what a chemistry! I don't think I have ever gotten so angry at a drama plot twist, than I got when I saw what the writes did to them in the EP 7 (I think).

On a more general themes what let this one down was the main plot. The whole misunderstanding who was Mawin's real father (which is the whole plot for the main couple) could have been solved by a phone call or a single short conversation. Aside from the very thin main plot and chemistry between Than and Akin, well it was good but not great. Which made what happened to the second couple even worse, considering that the show really needed them to pull trough all 10 episodes. Considering how little the main plot point gave to the show, this could have been a 8 episode series.

As a conclusion this goes to the category of series I would not watch again and will probably forget in a year. The second couple and children pull this one trough, but considering what happens to the second couple, well 10 episodes was too much. Hopefully the actors Year and Bee who played the second couple will get another series as a main couple, because I think they have a lot of potential.

Had potential which died down later

I watched the trailer and here i am i know ep 1 is too soon to judge but this is the 1st bl I've watched where the story is from the top's pov. Usually we see it from bottom's pov. Him falling in love and not being reciprocated blah blah.. so yeah that was new for me.

The kids especially Nene🥺🥺 she's soo adorable always helping her uncle unknowingly 🤭🤭. I also feel there is 99% chances I'm gonna love the second couple more than the 1st couple based on their interaction so far🤣🤣

I think I'm gonna enjoy this. I'll update this comment once I'm done watching this series

Edit: I'm at ep 5 and I'm bored cz its just repetitive Than asking Akin the reason he left him nd Akin ignoring him. I find Akin annoying like he is constantly doubting Than there's nothing Than could do in this situation.

I feel akin doesn't deserve than and than should end up with his business partner instead. The only thing saving this drama is the 2nd couple.

A whole cast triumph, not just a one-ship wonder!

I loved this show! All the actors play their parts really well; the viewer naturally falls in love with the kids and grandparents! The characters are nuanced and varied, occasionally stereotyped but not in a bad way.

Even difficult topics are handled with care and respect. There is humour throughout and it's not too serious. Certain plot points are a bit unrealistic but they show them in a way that you can just accept it and watch anyway!

Both main and second couple have great chemistry!

LOVED IT!!!

The reason for not giving 10 is the second pair's sad ending 😭😭😭😭.. they don't deserve a sad ending though.. But otherwise loved the acting, loved the screen play, loved the story, loved EVERYTHING!!!

I'm really sold to the acting (better than lot of popular actors poor acting skills💅🏻💅🏻💅🏻).. Worth watching..

I was shocked why people where not taking about the series 😞

The second pair story was so sad.. (Spoiler : One of the guy in the second pair died in the story 😭 which is unwanted)

Nor Perfect, but is a story of LIFE & LOVE

Congratulations to all the cast!
In my opinion, both love stories/relationships are beautiful.
To all the people out there, i do not understand this obsession with second couple syndrome in many series. A series is good because of all the people involved. You may like/love one character more than other, but no need for hate for the other like saying you watch only for one couple etc etc. People should have some empathy. Life is difficult for everyone for millions of reasons, so we should at least appreciate everyone's work, especially the work of people who entertain us, the viewers.
I know that what people are looking to find in a tv series is happy endings, but real life happens every day as we see, people breaking up and the saddest is people dying everyday, and especially young people. And seeing this happening in real life is way more heartbreaking. I myself am very sensitive this period with what is happening in the world everyday, and want to see only happiness in tv, but life happens, and this series teaches us that Humans should talk their worries, their doubts, their frustrations with their partners, friends and family. They should say sorry when is needed, they should support each other, they should tolerate more, and above all they should say I Love You to the people they love, because life is too short.

It started so promising, but the lack of communication became incredibly frustrating. How hard can it be to just talk for five minutes? The office scenes also felt forced and were honestly embarrassing to watch.
The second couple was a strange journey; I disliked them at first, then they won me over, only for their story to completely crash land at the end. By the last two episodes, I was just hitting the fast-forward button. It really fumbled the finish and just didn't deliver.

ReReReReReloved!

Sometimes story ideas come along that are so dumb and so mind-numbingly bad, you wonder how you sat through it without completely losing your own sense of reality. Honestly, this is one of the dumbest ideas for a plot I have seen and even adding adorably cute kids to the mix could not salvage this mess. You know you are also in trouble when throughout the series, flashbacks while the protagonists were in college 5 years previously looking the same as they do now. When a series that relies so heavily on days-gone-by without considering that they might have changed in 5 years, you know you have a weak story, and this is one of the most mediocre BLs I have ever seen. Regrettably, this is yet another saga of miscommunication—this time, at its very worst. The story carried this cross to such an extreme that I wanted to jump into the story personally and just scream in the very first episode, will the two of you simply sit down and talk to each other as adults! Sanely. Rationally. And stop with the artificial drama. If they had done so, the story then perhaps would have been forced to have a theme worth exploring. Instead, it droned on and on and on about missed windows of opportunities. All because basic, and I do mean simple basic questions from the beginning were not ASKED.

Watch the second couple through episode 8 then bounce

Ugh. This was so painful. And let me be clear, it was painful before the writers completely gutted the best part of the story.

The 3 best things were the second couple, the Black support character, and the kids.

I liked the main couple's acting but I hated their story. It was a strained premise that was made worse by drawing out the unearned resolution for almost the entire series. Ridiculous.

The second couple gave me life. I tuned in specifically to follow them. But the writers destroyed it unnecessarily but literally killing their relationship. The same point about cherishing the one you love in the moment could have been made without offing one of them.

My other complaint was the misses on the NC scenes. Don't act like we are seeing everything because the timing is too short to be the real deal. It feels weird. And dont get into impossible positions. Its distracting.

Overall, blech. Decent to great acting was wasted on a crap script. So annoying.

Could have been good

I marked this as spoilers, but jic, there are spoilers ahead.

This show had potential but ep8 crushed the whole thing for me. The secondary couple was by far my favorite part of the show and ending them the way the did was basically criminal. Using Don as cheap motivation to give the main couple a kick in the butt was so trash I can't believe it. Literally a near death or Don in the hospital sequence could have been a sufficient reality check for Akin, but no. They had to ruin the best part of the show. I never really reinvested after ep8 though I did finish it. The wedding scene with Don was also crushing, and just so unnecessary. The second couple had real problems that they were actively working through to be better, but their story got cut short for the sake of pushing the main couple to realize that all their "problems" were literally in Akin's head. They were so boring because we basically knew from very early that Than did nothing, so watching him pointlessly chase a non-communicating idiot was so tiring. Gym bro was a better option by far, so struggling through the rest of that story without PondDon to break it up was just awful. Also, again, lazy and cheap story mechanic with no respect to Don's character or their raletionship, which had sooo much promise. And no, the special ep did not make up for the trauma of ep8.

Wasted Potential and Unnecessary Angst

I honestly believe most of the drama between the main couple in Reloved could have been cleared up by around episode 4. That would have given us more time to actually enjoy them being together—having cute couple moments, going on little dates, and especially spending time with the niece and nephew. Those family scenes were some of the sweetest parts of the show, and it would’ve been nice to see more of that domestic side of their relationship. But as usual, communication barely existed, and misunderstandings were dragged out longer than necessary just to create drama.

I waited until all the episodes were finished, including the special episode, before continuing, hoping the full story would feel more complete. Unfortunately, the second lead couple’s storyline ended up being one of the biggest disappointments for me. They went through so much grief, pain, and emotional suffering, only for him to suddenly come back. Having everyone mourn him, just for it to be undone later, made all that heartbreak feel pointless and unnecessary.

What made it worse was that they never properly explained how or why he faked his death. There was no clear reasoning, no detailed backstory, and no satisfying emotional resolution. If they were going to include something that dramatic, they could’ve at least connected it to corruption within the company or had him trying to expose the other CEO for sabotaging the business. That would have made his disappearance meaningful—like he sacrificed himself to gather evidence, protect the company, or bring someone to justice. It would’ve raised the stakes and made his return impactful. Instead, it just felt random and disconnected from the main plot, like it was only done for shock value.

This series had a lot of potential, but the pacing, lack of communication, and poor handling of the second lead couple really hurt the experience for me.

Overall Rating: 4/10

Overall, it wasn’t a bad series. You should definitely give a try!!

If you’re looking for something lighter, especially in terms of the main couple, I’d recommend it.

Overall, it wasn’t a bad series. The main couple’s storyline was a bit unusual but still enjoyable. As for the second couple, I honestly skipped their parts. This is a simple romcom series, so you shouldn’t expect it to be world changing.
