A sweet Romance between classmates.
This is an excellent series. it is cast well. There is a very good chemistry between the 2 Male Leads. Watarai and Hioki are classmates. Watarai is a member of a group of boys in the same Class known as the 4 Heavenly Gods. it is a group of 4 good looking Boys that all the girls are after. It starts with selecting group members for a Class Trip. Everyone is breaking up into groups of 4. Nobody selects Hioki. Watarai asks his friends what is the maximum amount of group members allowed. His friend tells him 5.He asks if they can add Hook. One member of the group went to Middle School with Hioki and agreed to ask him. As the trip progresses it is clear to everyone in their group but, Hioki and Watarai that they like each other. The other members of the group give Watarai and Hioki little nudges in the right direction. They even invite Hioki to join them on a trip to the beach at the end of the year. on the trip to the Beach Watarai finally confesses to Hioki. Hioki asks him for time to sort out his feelings. it is during a Cultural Festival at school that Hioki basically in tears after a girl asked him to give Watarai a letter telling him she likes him that Hioki finally accepts Watarai's confession. He was afraid he was going to lose Watarai to a girl. All through the episodes Watarai always takes care of Hioki. God help anyone that tries to come between Watarai and his man! It is well acted and directed! Watarai could not ask for better Wingmen than his 3 friends! They do everything they can to support his and Hioki 's relationship.Was this review helpful to you?
IT'S SO DAMN CUTE
this is one of the rare Japanese series that you can feel they are acting because they love it and not because they want to gain popularity or money (ofc it's the main reason but I can tell they loved every bit of it) it's just so cute I LOVE THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Confetti sprinkled sweetness
An enjoyable watch. Simple story thats a break from complicated ones I seem to have watched lately. Natural acting, smooth flow of story so far. Very nice BGM too. It is oozing in cuteness & sweetness that's quirky funny at times. Highly recommended for BL neophytes or even seasoned BL fans who wants a break from hard-core bl relationships. The nice part of the story is how characters are experiencing feelings new to both of them and how they cutely navigate learning and exploring those feelings. Soooo cute that if there's a feeling for color "pink" that's how it'll seem to be. I am surprised that I am not seeing a lot of post about this jn social media. I'm in love with this drama
I’m completely in love with this drama! From the very first episode, it grabbed my attention and didn’t let go. The storyline is emotional, deep, and beautifully written, with just the right balance of romance, drama, and heartfelt moments. The characters are so well developed that you can’t help but get attached to them.The acting is outstanding—every emotion feels real, and the chemistry between the leads is just perfect. I especially loved how the drama shows growth and healing throughout

Cute ... so far.
I thought about giving this drama a chance, due to the Japanese production company and the overall positive reviews. I don't regret it yet, but I'm still very eager, how this one will turn out in the end.The good-looking populars being nice and caring is a welcoming change to most of the other high-school-romance dramas, which - obviously - all go the same way: The protagonists become enemies and then end up falling deeply and forever happy in love with each other.
I guess it's fine for me, that the boys don't want to get too involved with these nerve-scattering, superficial girls. But to be honest, not being interested in girls at all at this age seems a bit off to me (unless they are all gay, but due to their girlfriend stories that's not the case).
The story so far is (sorry to say that, but its true) nothing very special with its topic "popular guy falls in love with timid guy", BUT something makes me feel like the story will surprise us in the following episodes. The affections seems a bit too intense, maybe it will turn into something else? Thinking about it - I wouldn't be surprised if this slice-of life romance turns out to be a psychothriller. Nah, whatever - I will stay tuned for the next episode and try reading a bit of the novel in the meantime. Enjoy, you all!

Somewhat a breath of fresh air—like Meteor Garden with a twist! The cast delivers strong performances and the story is a solid 10/10 so far. It’s refreshing, engaging, and full of charm. Cute, Fluffy, and Wholesome Romance
First episode done and I can't move on from it!The story is so cute and fluffy. Predictable storyline, yes, but sometimes that's all a series needs to be perfect.
I don't hate the cliché storyline and can tell from the first episode that this will be a good watch.
Truthfully, I miss BL series like this - cute, wholesome, fluffy and just that light-hearted feel.
I'll edit this review as I watch but if you need a cute BL to help you take the edge off the day, this is your best bet.

1Delicata e graziosa BL sull'amore adolescenziale tra i banchi di scuola
BL molto semplice, delicata e adolescenziale, che ruota attorno ad un unico pairing, formato dall’affascinante e apparentemente irraggiungibile Watari e dal gentile, un po’ impacciato e timido Hioki.La storia è davvero leggera e senza pretese, con tutti i cliché che si possono mettere in conto. Ci troviamo tra i banchi del liceo, con gruppi di studenti che intrattengono amicizie dai risvolti ancora un po’ infantili.
Da una parte abbiamo quindi Watari, ragazzo bello e popolare ma un po’ enigmatico, che comincerà a corteggiare Hioki a modo suo, ovvero imponendo la sua presenza e manifestando possessività a tratti. E’ un ragazzo di fatto determinato, ma anche estremamente ermetico. Agli occhi di Hioki risulta difficile comprendere le sue intenzioni ed emozioni, se non quando arriva a dichiararle apertamente. Hioki dal canto suo è un giovane dall’indole gentile e genuina ma anche molto insicuro e con scarsa autostima: non si sente all’altezza di Watari e nemmeno dei suoi amici, pertanto inizialmente non si capacita del fatto che vogliano renderlo parte del loro gruppo.
A livello di recitazione, decisamente buona la prova per entrambi i protagonisti: Fujimoto Kodai (Hioki) interpreta il suo ruolo con grande naturalezza riuscendo a farsi apprezzare e risultando grazioso pur non essendo esteticamente bellissimo. Hideyoshi Kan (Watari) veste in modo performante i panni del “bello e irraggiungibile” - che poi così irraggiungibile non è e non vuole essere – oltre a dimostrare una grande espressività non verbale, soprattutto a livello di sguardi. Quanto alla chimica e alla sintonia tra i due siamo sicuramente a un buon livello. Nei confronti dello spettatore - almeno personalmente - mancava qualcosa: li ho trovato carini e graziosi, ma non sono riuscita ad affezionarmi come mi capita con altri personaggi in altri drama.
In termini di caratterizzazione dei due giovani, trovo però che abbiano saputo descrivere in modo calzante le due facce della medaglia che rappresenta un po’ il periodo turbolento dell’adolescenza: insicurezza, timore e in generale un approccio a piccoli passi da una parte (Hioki) e l’intensità di chi vuole qualcosa senza mezze misure e quasi si trattiene dal procedere a lunghe falcate (Watari).
Rispetto al cast secondario, non ho trovato dei personaggi ben delineati, ma del resto l’intero drama ha come unico focus la coppia principale. Ho apprezzato un po’ l’amico di infanzia di Hioki nella misura in cui promuoveva una sana gelosia e rivendicazione da parte di Watari, mentre gli amici di quest’ultimo sono stati un po’ un contorno insipido, in alcuni momenti anche un po’ superfluo.
In tema OST, c’è giusto un brano che ho trovato interessante. Del resto la scarsa durata della serie impedisce un po’ di affezionarsi a una o più musiche e il numero di volte che possono essere riproposte è complessivamente limitato.
Come tipologia di BL mi ha ricordato per certi versi il drama giapponese “My love mix-up!”(Kieta Hatsukoi, 2021) e per altri il drama – sempre giapponese – “If It's You, I Might Try Falling in Love” (Kimi to Nara Koi wo Shite Mite mo, 2023). Del primo mi ha ricordato un po’ le dinamiche scolastiche, del secondo la delicatezza. Non è però a mio avviso riuscito ad eguagliare né l’uno né l’altro. Questo perché l’ho trovato non perfettamente bilanciato: avrei gestito diversamente il seppur poco tempo a disposizione, dove si ripetono alcuni meccanismi caratterizzati un impaurito Hioki che sembra subire inevitabilmente il fascino un po’ predatorio di Watari senza mostrare uno sviluppo costante (ogni tanto il passo avanti c’è, ogni tanto no e quindi si aspetta la successiva scena dello stesso tenore). Questo ha portato a qualche dilungamento non necessario e a concentrare un po’ troppo il finale, molto bello ma che avrei preferito fosse più diluito. Si fa però perdonare con i due mini episodi extra – dieci minuti l’uno – dove finalmente all’imbarazzato corteggiamento subentrano degli approcci da coppia, e quindi un po’ più decisi e intensi.
Spunti di miglioramento a parte, è senza dubbio consigliata a tutti gli amanti delle BL (e anche a chi per la prima volta vuole approcciarsi al genere, direi).

Muita fofura
School trip é simplesmente um dos melhores boys love que já assisti!!A história é muito bem construída, mostrando o passo a passo da relação dos dois. O casal possui um química muito boa e fofa.
O romance entre o Watarai e o Hioki é puro e doce, um singelo romance adolescente, que possui muita sinceridade e paciência. A trama expõe os sentimentos de ambos personagem, expondo os primeiros interesses, o medo de seguir o próprio coração e calma para expressar as coisas. Tudo sendo feito sem pressa faça você surta a cada mínima interação do casal, o que da mais vontade para continuar assistindo.
Além disso, a filmagem possui uma coloração que traz um sentimento de nostalgia, com cores bem vivas e refrescantes o que combina muito com história.
Bate um tristeza por ter acabado, queria que tivesse mais episódios, com toda certeza vou reassistir❗️

Du cliché & de la guimauve... :)
Je suivais depuis un certain temps les publications liées à ce drama, ça m’avait l’air tout mignon et j’avoue qu’après avoir enchaîné les épisodes 8 à 12 de To My Shore, qui brille par sa toxicité, je me suis dit que celui-ci allait un peu alléger mon esprit avant d’aller me coucher.J’ai donc commencé mon visionnage et on peut dire qu’on réunit la plupart des clichés du genre… :D Un school drama avec des jeunes inexpérimentés qui vivent leur premier émoi… Les mecs populaires, sauveurs de ces dames… (Youhou ! C’est le F4 des temps modernes ! Comme quoi Hana Yori Dango/Boys Over Flowers est encore une référence à notre époque x’D). Malgré tout, j’ai apprécié mon visionnage : les acteurs sont choupis et ont su me convaincre.
Par contre, suis-je la seule à me dire que Watarai est trop jaloux ? Perso, je ne supporterais pas ses sautes d’humeur… (Après, vous me direz, c’était assez « innocent »… mais je n’ose imaginer l’évolution s’il est déjà ainsi avant la relation :D)
J’ai lu qu’il y aurait des SP ; bien que je sois souvent déçue par ces épisodes de « remplissage », j’avoue espérer être étonnée pour une fois :)

Fofo!!!
Comecei esse BL meio sem perceber que ele ia mexer comigo.Vi quando estava sendo lançado e, pra ser honesta, o que me fisgou não foi uma grande promessa de história, mas uma cena específica: a cena da quadra. Hioki sendo literalmente jogado pelos amigos do Watarai direto pro colo dele, ficando ali, sentadinho, enquanto o Watarai o abraça por trás kkkkk. É uma cena simples, meio boba até, mas extremamente fofinha. Daquelas que te fazem sorrir sem perceber. Ali eu pensei: ok, eu preciso assistir isso.
Demorei. Porque eu sou péssima pra acompanhar lançamentos e, principalmente, porque BL japonês nunca foi exatamente um território seguro pra mim. Já tentei alguns, nenhum tinha me cativado de verdade. Então fui sem grandes expectativas.
E talvez tenha sido isso que tornou tudo ainda melhor.
Esse BL me ganhou no detalhe. No jeito como o afeto não é forçado, como os sentimentos vão surgindo aos poucos, quase tímidos, assim como o próprio Hioki. O F4 foge completamente daquele estereótipo arrogante e intocável; pelo contrário, eles são carismáticos, presentes e claramente torcem um pelo outro. Dá pra sentir que existe cuidado ali, não só entre o casal, mas no grupo como um todo.
O relacionamento entre Hioki e Watarai é confortável de assistir. Não é sobre grandes conflitos, é sobre observar sentimentos aflorarem, gestos pequenos que dizem muito, silêncios que não são vazios. É aquele tipo de romance que aquece o peito sem precisar gritar.
No fim, esse BL me pegou justamente por ser simples, gentil e sincero. Ele não tenta ser maior do que é e talvez por isso funcione tão bem. Foi uma surpresa deliciosa e, honestamente, um dos poucos BLs japoneses que eu assisti e pensei: sim, isso aqui vale a pena.

tava finalizando o que tava escrevendo e ai a página atualizou sozinha e eu perdi tudo......então vou resumir oq tinha dito antes
é uma história bem clichê sobre primeiro amor no ensino médio pra vc ver quando quiser aquecer o coração
o grupo de amigos dos protas são bem divertidos, engraçados e respeitosos
e o casal é muito querido e fofo
a série não tem mt conflitos mas é bem feita vale a pena ver
o Fujimoto Kodai é um ótimo ator (os outros também mas queria falar dele em específico)
vi ele em Smells Like a Green Spirit como Yumeno e é beeem diferente dele como Hioki
e acho interessante ver um ator bom q gosta genuinamente fazer bl e se entregar pros papéis !!
unico adendo q eu tenho é q lá pros eps 8 e 9 se não me engano a história fica beeem parecida com Saasaki to MIyano
mas não posso afirmar nada, até pq como eu disse a história é bem clichê japonês e sasamiya não inventou isso
só q me deixou com um pezinho atrás nao vou mentir
mas eu adorei tudo
principalmente a declaração deles, e o pós disso , o Hioki de maid, o primeiro beijo deles e como eles não esconderam de ninguém q se gostavam
