Potential That Never Materialized for Me
This is a partial review covering episodes 1–12 only.I was excited to see Bai Shu take on a lead role. Unfortunately, this one was a disappointment.
I struggled to make it through even half the drama, finding myself fast-forwarding through scenes just to get through them. There were a few interesting elements, but the overall story felt flat. The characterization was underdeveloped, and the narrative lacked the depth, nuance, and momentum to keep me invested.
I understand that short dramas have limited time to develop their characters and plots, but a shorter runtime isn't necessarily a problem when there's something else to make up for it. Unfortunately, this drama never found that balance for me. The few elements that caught my interest weren't enough to offset the lackluster execution.
I'm not going to finish this one. I have a pretty good idea of where it's heading, and I haven't found enough to make me want to see it through. This drama simply wasn't my cup of tea.

I love the Love Legend
I just LOVE short dramas, no matter how wacky the production is. They are simply fun to watch, the story progresses fast, you can binge them in like a quarter of the time of regular length dramas. I have watched some short dramas already and I loved every single one so far and Love Legend is no exception. What I especially love and what in my humble opinion deserves a lot of credit is Bai Shu as the stern, unshakeable, strong main lead. I am so, so, so happy that the casting directors are finally giving him a chance for characters like Pei Zhao or He Ru Fei in Legend of the Female General. I think he is so perfect for such character and I am so glad I could see him like this as a ML (yes you guessed it i love him even more now). Otherwise, the acting is this drama is alright, just like you can expect in a short drama.
I liked the story too, especially the final few episodes how the royal family handled themselves lol you definitely don´t see that often. I would have wished for more closure in the end, but it is fine like that too.
This drama had more soundtracks than other short dramas which is nice too (I don´t usually get much of the OST, only if it is standing out to me).
Overall, I would definitely rewatch for Bai Shu, he really blew me away with acting.
