2NE1's Park Bom shocked everyone by showing she would sue YG Entertainment's Yang Hyun Suk in a now-deleted Instagram post.

On October 22, 2NE1's Park Bom briefly posted and then deleted a photo on Instagram showing she had filed a lawsuit against YG Entertainment founder Yang Hyun Suk. The lawsuit accuses the former CEO of fraud and embezzlement, claiming he failed to pay her earnings from numerous projects, including music releases, performances, broadcasts, advertisements, and songwriting. The document reportedly alleges that the total amount of unpaid earnings is approximately $4.5 quadrillion USD.

As the post quickly gained attention, Park Bom's current agency, D Nation Entertainment, issued a statement regarding the singer's concerning update.

D Nation Entertainment shared, "Park Bom's actions are outside of our control. We are currently reviewing it (the lawsuit against Yang Hyun Suk)."

Since July, Park Bom has put all activities, including scheduled 2NE1 events, on hold. Her agency stated the decision was made based on the doctor's advice, that the singer needs to have sufficient rest and stability.

Even during her hiatus, Park Bom has frequently updated fans on Instagram with new photos, though her social media behavior has generated controversy. She initially caused a stir when fans noticed she unfollowed all of her 2NE1 members, briefly leaving only actor Lee Min Ho, who she once controversially claimed was her boyfriend, in her following list. Park Bom has since reset her following count to zero.

Park Bom's last public performance and appearance was at Waterbomb Busan 2025 in July, along with the 2NE1 members.

Park Bom's recent hiatus and her history of reduced participation, including moments where she left the stage, have led many to question the future of 2NE1. Despite her absence, the remaining members, CL, Dara, and Minzy, have continued with the group's schedules, leaving uncertainty about whether the group will ever release new music beyond their highly anticipated reunion world tour.
