BLACKPINK's Ji Soo confirms the release date for her duet with Zayn Malik!

BLACKPINK's Ji Soo and Zayn Malik's duet collaboration finally has a release date.

On October 8, Ji Soo announced that her upcoming new digital single titled "EYES CLOSED" featuring Hollywood star Zayn Malik, will be released on October 10. 

Ji Soo first teased the upcoming duet collaboration on October 6, revealing a photo of her with a mysterious man in the background. Right after the teaser, netizens and fans guessed that she would be working with Hollywood star and former One Direction member Zayn Malik. In the following days, it was officially confirmed that Zayn Malik would collaborate with Ji Soo. The Hollywood star also uploaded the teaser on his official social media pages.

This upcoming duet is Jisoo's first new music since her solo EP, Amortage, released last February.

The collaboration of Zayn Malik with a BLACKPINK member was already speculated. Back in July, Zayn Malik was spotted at a BLACKPINK concert in New York and later publicly thanked the group for the invitation.

Meanwhile, Ji Soo is also busy with her K-pop group's concert tour, BLACKPINK's world tour, Deadline. The tour started in Seoul in July, and this month, BLACKPINK will meet fans in Taiwan on October 18.

Next year, Ji Soo will greet viewers once again with a new K-drama. 

Ji Soo is set to lead the upcoming K-drama Boyfriend on Demand with Seo In Guk, Ryu Abel, Park Ji Ho, Kang Min Woo, and Song Ha Na. This will also be Ji Soo's official K-drama debut on the streaming platform Netflix. 

2025 has been a busy year for Jisoo. Aside from the grand comeback of her K-pop group BLACKPINK and its concert tour, she also released a solo comeback and starred in the Coupang Play original K-drama Newtopia with Park Jeong Min, Im Sung Jae, Kim Jun Han, Kang Young Seok, and Lee Hak Joo. She also returned to the big screen with the film Omniscient Reader: The Prophecy.
