Cha Eun Woo, Park Eun Bin, Choi Dae Hoon, and Im Sung Jae go head to head against the ones threatening the peace of their town in The WONDERfools.

Set in 1999, an era gripped by fears of apocalypse, The WONDERfools tells the story of a group of goofy townies who, after an unexpected incident, acquire superpowers and take on villains threatening the peace of Haeseong City.

The stills give a glimpse of the turbulent series of incidents that will unfold before the four individuals from Haeseong City, who end up gaining superpowers by chance.

First, a still of Eun Chae Ni (Park Eun Bin), standing in the middle of a snowy mountain with a bewildered expression among fully equipped hikers, captures the moment her teleportation power is suddenly activated.

As seen from Chae Ni's startled expression as she flies through the air, she becomes entangled in unexpected incidents and accidents due to powers she acquires without even knowing why.

Lee Woon Jung (Cha Eun Woo), waking from sleep drenched in sweat, looks like an ordinary civil servant, but he hides a secret and a story.

Still of Son Kyung Hoon (Choi Dae Hoon), clinging to the ceiling with a terrified expression, evokes laughter as he appears at a complete loss due to his bizarre "sticky" power.

Meanwhile, the still of Kang Ro Bin (Im Sung Jae), swinging his fist yet somehow looking clumsy and awkward, captures a moment befitting his nickname "Haeseong City's pushover". It remains to be seen how he, as someone with a timid personality who has gained superhuman strength — an ability opposite to his nature — will employ his superpower.

Meanwhile, Kim Jeon Bok (Kim Hae Sook) — sitting at the counter of Keunson Restaurant, counting stacks of cash — before being Chae Ni's grandmother, was a major figure in Myeong Dong's private moneylending world, known as "King Jeon Bok". She is a woman who would risk any danger to safely protect her granddaughter Chae Ni.

Also drawing attention is Ha Won Do (Son Hyun Joo), the chief director of the superpower research experiment "Wunderkinder Project", inspecting an underground laboratory, along with the trio supporting him — Seok Ju Ran (Jeong E Suh), Seok Ho Ran (Choi Yoon Ji), and Kim Pal Ho (Bae Na Ra). Curiosity grows over why Ha Won Do has come to Haeseong City and what secret plans he and the three members of the Wunderkinder team are preparing.

The WONDERfools is coming May 15, only on Netflix.
