Chen Zhe Yuan is a newcomer with a natural talent for acting and enormous growth potential. He starred in All About Secrets and has since taken on lead roles in the time-travel romantic comedy drama Hello Dear Ancestors and the historical romance The Legend of Zu 2. In 2018, he completed filming for the drama remake of Handsome Siblings, where he played the mischievous sibling, Xiao Yu Er, from the 1966 classic novel by Gu Long.
Before pursuing a career in theater, Chen Zhe Yuan briefly joined the Chinese boyband MR.BIO, which was formed through IQiYi's survival reality show King of Pop. The group released their debut digital single Jackpot in 2015.

You may be wondering why we love Chen Zhe Yuan, and that's a good question. Instead of answering it ourselves, we'll let some of his fans do it.
 I will try to speak earnestly and give some explanatory reasons as to why I love him rather than going into full fangirling mode and calling him the softest bundle of clouds to ever exist. So he does what he needs to, which is to charm everyone with his expressive eyes and deep yet melting voice. My C-drama watchlist might be smaller than my patience for buffering, but I always drop by to check his dramas. He seamlessly transitions between mischievous and serious roles, becoming the reason why one is inclined to become a fan of talented individuals. Even though sometimes the stories are weak [Mr. Bad], his existence will keep you hooked. And crying scenes? Oh, honey, don't get me started. Most actors struggle, but not him. He could cry for a whole season, and I'd be there, popcorn in hand, cheering him on. Because, let's face it, when he cries, it's beautiful. | Our Secret was the drama that introduced me to Chen Zhe Yuan! I was hugely attracted to his 'suave personality' and emotional acting there. Since then, I have been following his dramas and variety shows and found him to be a goofy person. This guy might look like a very cool, handsome, school crush type guy in dramas, but in real life, uhh, he appears funny, silly, and sometimes smart and sometimes even funnily dumb. It's also great to see how he has been improving in his works, appreciating support of his fans, and his fun interactions with his co-stars! Honestly, we think it's kind of unfortunate to think that he could have been better known way earlier if all his dramas, especially the S+ ones, were able to air. Winner is King was a hot topic and had a fandom even before it was aired, while The Golden Hairpin is a high-budget production with popular actors. Only his low budget dramas did air. That is why we are very delighted with the love and attention he received this year because of Hidden Love.
